Women’s Rumble First Impressions

But there were some great moments. Um, but going right into it, let's just talk about the rumble in general. We had the first match of the night is the women's royal rumble. Then immediately we had AJ versus Gunther retirement match, and then after that, we had Drew versus Sammy in the men's Royal Rumble. So I want to tell you what, again, what my predictions was before going into the Rumble and what it led up to. I said immediately to everybody that Liv Morgan will win the Rumble. But I said if Bianca Bel Air shows up tonight, that she will be the one to win the rumble. So, as predicted, that is what I thought. What were your thoughts before we went into that match?

So I'll be honest. I literally for all of the rumble, I had no thoughts. I had no idea who was gonna win. I couldn't even begin to like pinpoint, I could have thrown a dart at a wall and been like, well, I guess that's who's gonna win. Yeah, and so uh for me, everything was a big surprise. Okay, even when it came down to the wire, especially for the men's one. Yeah because goddamn, but for the females one, overall the fact that it was a solid rumble and freaking like all the girls did their thing. Uh I could I I even right now I couldn't even have told you who I thought was gonna win this rumble.

MVP Debate: Lash, Sol, And Liv

Yeah, I I felt that with the men's after the situation we have, but going into the women's rumble match, like just tell me overall, who do you think was the MVP of that match? I truly believe the MVP a little bit was Sol Ruka, and a part of me wants to just give it up to Jordan Grace was great too. Okay, Jordan Grace was great. Liv Morgan, obviously, because she won, but the story of Liv and Raquel now, that is the highlight of this situation. Is in the match, Raquel eliminates Rhea Ripley, which obviously was over as hell here. Okay, eliminates Rhea. Then Raquel gets eliminated by Liv, and Liv, the the stare down, the stare-down between the two was the complete cinema. So as you saw that, that to me was the highlight, there's the story that needed in this match.

So, yes, I will say that that is great, but and that was a great highlight for the match. But let's be real. The MVP tonight for the females Royal Rumble was goddamn Lash Legend.

So the funny thing about this match, too, is that, you know, social media was talking about this was gonna be the Power Ranger Rumble. And at one point, we were like, ah, don't do that to the women. And then the women actually leaned into it.

So, with that being said, for that match, I just the the women's rumble was a great start. It there was some highlights against Soul Ruka's moment, which I don't know why Soulka felt like she needed to do the Soul Snatcher on the apron. Would that almost eliminate her, too?

Power Rangers Gear And Surprise Returns

So there's that, and then you know, it was great seeing Tiffany back. I thought, again, I thought number 30 would have been Bianca. I was sitting there waiting. I'm on my own against the I was waiting for it, but then we had a fade of black, and then it's Tiffany, and I was like, she's never done that before. So it's like, why did we need this moment?

I don't know what was going on in that situation. The Bella twins were in the rumble. I was waiting to see if you was gonna bring it up because I was. Brimo, how did how did you feel about Bree Bella coming back?

It was like you wasted a minute and 30 seconds just to like I know it was trying to tell a story, but I didn't feel like the story was there.

Entrant Order, Stories, And NXT Highlights

We're gonna talk about the vision situation, which is crazy. Anytime there's a faction that goes in a rumble, you would think the faction should be dominating, but it doesn't, because the same thing happened for the judgment day. All four, well, no, all three women were in, and yet somehow you still got eliminated. It's crazy. So, women's royal rumble, I would say it's second, it's second match of the night because it was originally the match of the night until the men's rumble. And even though I'm not a fan of the winner, but the the the the the match quality of people like Javon Evans, which again we were gonna get into, highlighted the night, like highlights. So put that on perspective. Oh, we lost our light, but we still going. We lost the light, we still going. So when it comes to uh the next match, AJ versus uh Gun Through, how did you feel about that?

Well, uh as it can be seen, I mean, yep, I was I was here for the styles. Okay. So here's my here's my honest opinion on it. I I don't think the match was bad. Honestly, I think their match on Raw was better. Okay, uh, but at the I will agree. At the end of the day, like they're trying to push this thing with Gunther, and it is what it is. Yeah. I for AJ Styles' last match, I'm not, I'm a little besides myself on it. Yeah. Because like it didn't it didn't feel great.

So I'm just like, what's going on there? Yeah. Yeah, and so I'm I'm waiting to see what that's gonna turn out. Everybody's saying we'll see you on uh uh TNA. Yeah, people are saying that in the audience.

People were saying we'll see you in TNA and everything. So it was it's a pretty interesting situation, but overall, I felt like the match was decent. I th I will say it was the it was the third match of the night compared to the next one, which we can go ahead and talk about because I ain't got much to say about this match with AJ and Gunther. It was a match. AJ apparently is retired. I'm not a fan, but we're here, so uh we can go right into uh uh Drew versus Sammy. Now, a couple of things before this match we had on SmackDown, Sammy made some bold claims. He says, Hey, I've been 11 and oh to Drew, but I've never lost a match in Saudi. As we went into this match, I'm thinking, man, Sammy, Sammy is going to Sammy's gonna win this. I thought that for a second because I'm like, he said, Saudi, and then what would happen is he would go to Elimination Chamber and lose to Drew. Now tell me, before we kind of went into this match, what were your thoughts? Did you feel like something similar might happen?

AJ Styles vs Gunther Reactions

Or so for me, especially with the way everything has been going and all the setups, there was two thoughts. The first one, which is my main one, Sammy's going to lose, but it's gonna be through shenanigans. Or technically it would have been a win because it would have been a DQ in some way, shape, or form. Someone was gonna come out there and fuck over Drew McIntyre because they don't like Drew McIntyre. That was my thought. That's where I was at. Or number two, fuck it. We do it live, squeeze the trigger, give him the belt, because why not? That's valid. And instead, we bitched out Sammy's.

I I felt like if anything would have happened, if he would have lost, we got Gunther in the rumble. I thought maybe Sammy would get in the rumble and win, but no, Sammy, for some reason, he doesn't get an opportunity to go in the rumble, but yet Gunther does. That's crazy. So even though technically Gunther wasn't in the match, and technically AJ couldn't, because he's retired, unfortunately. He took his career. Took his career, so AJ wouldn't have showed up in the rumble. But I want to say that Drew won completely clean. And it was clean as a whistle. Clean as is fountain water, clean as anything can be. How do we get to this point where you give Sammy such a rub and then say, oh, I should believe this. 11-0? I should believe this. It's 20 and 0 now.

Okay. So that's the last time we saw him. We did not see him again until about a week ago. A week ago in a promo on TV. He did not set foot in a ring until tonight. Roman Reigns equals money. Apparently. Not apparently, period. I mean don't even I mean I'm looking with you. When you look at this Royal Rumble, notice how a lot of your regular stars weren't in there. Where was Kofi Kingston? Where was R Truth? They had a nice plethora of the young up-and-coming talent in there, as well as the nice mid-card that we currently have going on. Yeah. And then at the very end is when we got all of our people who is putting money in TKO's pockets. Yeah. And then at the end, they tried to make it seem like it wasn't going to be a good ending because they threw Gunther in there.

Who is also making them money in a very different way, but they threw Gunther in there. So of course, there was only going to be, they gave you the envision of possible two ways of this happening. But if if if you know how money talks, if you know, I don't know, the uh the the WrestleMania billboard that they've been pushing and toting this whole time, and you look at the current layout of everything, how the fuck were they going to get Roman Reigns into this Patrick?

Corporate Royal Rumble. This Royal Rumble, they did good. They did a very good job of wowing us to the point where he thought this was the better match of the Royal Rumble.

Mainly because of the spectacle nature of like the the star power. Nothing against the women's rumble.

It's not, I don't think it's the star power a little bit. That's what I'm saying. But it's more so like, sure, they did try to, it's almost like the they tried to sprinkle some really nice stuff on there to disguise the fact that this isn't a gourmet sample.

But to me, it was like there was a lot more stories, like of okay, LeBron and Oba Femi, like you know what I'm saying? The the Drew and the Cody situation, the Jacob Fatu and like there was a lot more story elements in that match. Now, the women's match does have maybe like two story elements with Raquel Rodriguez and Liv, and then a little bit of Charlotte and Alexa Bliss. But outside of that, oh excuse me, uh uh uh Oscar and Kyrie. I don't know where they're going with that, but they still have that too. So, you know, Jabon, RKO. There's a lot of story elements. I think, honestly, it's really a toss-up now when I'm thinking about it.
