WrestleMania Booking Panic & NJPW Sakura Genesis 2026
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
WrestleMania season is supposed to crank the tension up, but right now the build feels like it’s running in place. We’re looking at WWE’s biggest creative red flags on the road to WrestleMania: key feuds that don’t escalate, top stars who barely wrestle on TV, and a never-ending loop of pull-apart brawls that replace actual story progression. We get into why that “safe” approach makes even a strong card feel uninspiring, and how one or two bolder choices could instantly make the shows feel urgent again.
We also dig into the choices that have fans side-eyeing the direction, from the Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams situation to Sami Zayn leaning into grimy behavior that finally gets a real crowd reaction. Then we hit the Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton dynamic and ask the blunt question: if Cody is the hero, where’s the booking that makes people emotionally need him to win? We even break down the business side of things, including celebrity inserts like Pat McAfee, and why a “big name” doesn’t help if the angle doesn’t make sense.
After that, we switch gears to NJPW Sakura Genesis and talk honestly about the state of New Japan Pro-Wrestling right now. The early card feels like it’s missing star power, but the last stretch delivers, especially once Takeshita shows up and the tag title match steals the night. We close on the main event title change, the fallout around United Empire, and the AEW tension that gets stirred up post-match, setting the table for what could come next. If you’ve been frustrated with modern wrestling booking, this one will hit. Subscribe, share the episode with a wrestling friend, and leave us a review with your hottest take: what would you change to fix WrestleMania season?

Welcome And WrestleMania Temperature Check
SPEAKER_01Welcome to another episode of the Big Brothers of Destruction podcast. It's the Matsuku. And it's your boy, Swag Switcher in the Building. And we also have a guest with us here. Technically, not a guest, but I'm going to let you introduce yourself, my friend.
SPEAKER_03You know what it is? It is your boy, the Champagne Don Ray Z. I'm always ripping the House of Spades.
SPEAKER_01Awesome. And we are here today to talk about the wacky world of wrestling, but about events that have kind of been going on with the last week as we get to the road. Well, we're currently on the road of WrestleMania, right? And it's a bumpy. It's a bit not kind of bumpy. Man, listen. The train is almost off the tracks.
SPEAKER_02And I I'm actually glad we're going to be able to have this type of conversation because it's one thing with our ideas and how where we come from, but it'll be nice to get an insight from someone who is also actively a wrestler and has to deal with bookings and all the things that come with it.
SPEAKER_03But even on the inside looking out, I'm not as stressed out as much as y'all are, to be honest.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, but the fact of the matter is there's a difference between as a fan looking in, we we have insider knowledge because of dirt sheets and just hearing terms and stuff. You have been in a ring and you could understand, oh, okay, he's checking them, he's checking him, he's doing it. You have that insider knowledge. That's right. Yeah, so it's a little bit different.
SPEAKER_02And there's also just more so the piece that, like, you uh because you deal with being booked, and you're you have to act you and you've actually actively gone through booking procedures with many different bookers who are out there, you got a little more understanding on things from a booking standpoint as a wrestler yourself.
SPEAKER_01So the real fucking question is how you feel about this booking that WWE's
Carmelo Hayes Loss Sparks Booking Alarm
SPEAKER_01doing for mania?
SPEAKER_03I would be sweating bullets right now. I'm not even gonna joke with you. Seriously, like I'm scared. I don't know where we're going. Why did it take the belt off of Mello?
SPEAKER_02Bruh. Going into the hard questions here.
SPEAKER_03Like, like I'm just saying, it's it's it's a lot. It's a lot.
SPEAKER_02And not only why did they take it off of Mello, but why did we continue to let Mello get beat a second time? Now, granted, I can at least say that it's because we're trying to push this idea of Sami Zayn kind of sort of like dipping into this heel thing because of what Rainey Orton said, and then what Alistair Black, aka uh uh uh the new Carrion Cross, you know, has been doing. And so and I feel as if like if there's anything, at least that's working. At least that's kind of working, because now we're booing the fuck out of Sammy Zayn. But the same.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you mean Sammy Zayn, Sammy Hogan, that's why Sammy Hogan.
SPEAKER_02Sure, we could call him Sammy Hogan. That's what they're saying, whatever we feel like it. But it's like in my mind, I'm just I just feel real bad for Carmelo because we have Carmelo Hayes. He was he he looked and he seemed and he has been being that guy this whole time. And it would almost be, I mean, granted, you you and Bobby are good, you know what I'm saying? But it would and you also are okay with boosting Bobby up like that. But imagine if you was the one who was literally slated to be getting that boost, and then are like, hey, listen, you're cool and all, but we're gonna send Bobby to WrestleMania and have you sit in the back and catering. Because that's what it's feeling like right now with with him and uh uh uh Mr. Living Peppa Steppas himself.
SPEAKER_03And you're talking about less than a month away at this, so you've been holding it this entire time just to get shoed to the side?
SPEAKER_02For for the guy who you literally helped build, that's the part that gets me. He literally built Trick Williams, literally, and put him over on the way out going into the main roster just for him to get shed on the main roster, and then when Trick Williams comes to the main roster, he's a god.
SPEAKER_01But you also kind of gotta think about this. This has happened multiple times in wrestling. I mean, the Marty Gennetti to Shawn Michaels, you know what I'm saying? It's like, hey, tag teams or group function situations, you there's somebody who's gonna be liked more. It's always gonna happen. You're never gonna have it where it's both. And luckily the Hardy boys have that now, but it definitely wasn't the case years ago. It was definitely everybody was there for Jeff, but then once Matt Hardy broke out with broken Matt Hardy, now we can have both of them in the conversation.
SPEAKER_02Well, hold on. We got we gotta give V1 some credit, man.
SPEAKER_01V1 was not getting the same popularity treatment that fucking Jeff Hardy would get. Jeff Hardy's treatment got him a world title. V1 got the US title and the cruisaway title. Let's be real.
SPEAKER_03Okay, but if you're gonna compare it that way, Melo and Trick both got the NXE titles.
SPEAKER_01You're correct.
SPEAKER_03So you're telling me on the way up, this man is holding your United States championship division down, and he can't even get a match now.
SPEAKER_01Nope. And you know what's gonna happen? Trick is winning that belt.
SPEAKER_03They're putting the belt on it. You know what's happening.
SPEAKER_01They're putting the belt on, and if you don't, you're stupid.
SPEAKER_03It could have been a trip. It could have been a trip.
SPEAKER_01It really should have been a trip. Oh, you're talking triple three? Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. It should have, and I thought it was going to be. As a matter of fact, wait, wait, wait, we still got time. You never know. I mean, this is also fair. Melo could try to put himself in a situation.
SPEAKER_03Unless he comes back and like jumps them both, hoodie, no hoodie, ski mask, no ski mask. I don't see how.
SPEAKER_02You talking mystery nigga?
SPEAKER_03Oh lord.
SPEAKER_02You are never leaving that alone, never. Bro, it is mystery nigga. It is so prominent right now. I mystery nigga is literally 2026 right now, bro. It is shisty season, baby. It is shisty season. And it's funny because I'm about to go to a store and buy one right now.
SPEAKER_01It's funny because Pooh Shisty going to jail currently because of that situation, too. Damn, listen, stocks are up so much.
SPEAKER_02Stocks are up in the shisties.
SPEAKER_03Buying while they still $20.
SPEAKER_02Listen, Wade keeps up, I swear. I'm I'm about to make it a thing when I go to like a to a con. I'm gonna dress up as a rep as a uh as an anime character, but I'm gonna rock the shisty.
SPEAKER_01Well, I thought you were gonna say, like, yo, everybody co-all black, we're gonna act like we Seth Rollins is uh That's actually an even better idea. And you're gonna do the whole street.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Because I see I've seen the uh whole little Demon Slayer club do it before where they all had color-coordinated shysties on. So you might do a little combination of both and get away with it. See what I'm saying? You might be able to get away with it. You gotta be. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whole whole outfit, shysti.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know what? I'm putting that in the back pocket because I'm trying to hit BlurCon next year. I'm disappointed. Doesn't even have, even if it's not even like just just what a something that has a squad. Like we could be freaking the organization 13, but we all got shysties. With the cloaks and everything and our key blades, shysied up. Mass next.
SPEAKER_03Everybody, JJK uniform. Yup. She's let's go. I'll even do the panda outfit still. Sheisty over the pandemic over the panda ears.
SPEAKER_01Shysy. Oh my God. Well, uh back to this potential triple threat. I feel like, man, we got what? How many weeks in Tolmania? Like three. One or two. Because it's this month.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we are two and a half.
SPEAKER_01So they literally, if they're gonna put Carmelo in it, they literally have two weeks left.
SPEAKER_02And the way that the way that SmackDown went down, I don't know how you do that. Because Mello lost. Not necessarily clean, per se, because like he quote unquote he he he busted up his leg, kind of thing, and the referee was checking him, and and Sami Zayn was like, I'm not gonna wait. And he blasted him with the boot and they pinned him. And everyone's all like, Wow, that was very uncoming of you, Sammy. And Sami Zayn is out here on some It was grimy. It was grimy.
SPEAKER_01And so it's like, okay, so that's what This is this is like this is coming off of a Sami Zayn, who's been very frustrated on not being put in a title picture and then finally getting a title. And yeah, that would be probably his you know dissension down into being a heel. That would make more sense.
SPEAKER_03How many title shots has he had in that one?
SPEAKER_01Three this year? Yeah, for halfway title. It was against Drew. I think it was, was it Cody who was one of them?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. He's never yeah, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01One Cody, two Drew.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03And then overall he's what, oh and twelve against Drew or something like that.
SPEAKER_01I think it's thirty I thought it was 13.
SPEAKER_030-13.
SPEAKER_01I think it's 13 now, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, I think it's because it was two, because it was two.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then the one in Saudi made it 13, I think.
SPEAKER_02Which the one in Saudi was still is that was so time. It was so egregious to me.
SPEAKER_01That was time.
SPEAKER_02And and Drew beat him clean. Clean. Straight. Clean. It was ridiculous. But I don't,
Sami Zayn Turns Grimy And Gets Booed
SPEAKER_02I don't know. This WrestleMania this road to WrestleMania is it's to me it's very weird because it's like there's points, there's like there's points where of there's points of interest, but it's but it also at the same time it does not feel like WrestleMania seasons of old.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_02But it's also because they're doing this super duper extra extra baby stroller safe shit. Cause like I'm sure we can all remember when in the past, like there would be matches. Roman Reigns hasn't had a match at all. CM Punk has not had a match at all leading up into this. Sure, your typical jump sessions, but there's little micro stories that we can do where it can at least get them involved in a quick, easy, simple main event match where they actually wrestle.
SPEAKER_01Like a tag team match, like get like get a triple threat where it's the Usos and him, so we get bloodline back for a minute.
SPEAKER_02Shit like that.
SPEAKER_03Something like, you know, your six man's and all of that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. So where they can at least get a little hands-on each other type situation and you know, help progress the story where we don't have to literally make everybody constantly do these uh uh uh uh um Goofy ass promos? It's not even the promos, it's the show up into the ring and then pull apart brawls. We have it's been nonstop pull apart brawls. Nonstop. There's not been none what happened to so like let's just say pull apart brawls even before chamber too's a name. Exactly. So like I would say like if we were to single down on the Roman Reigns situation, right? Like, what would make like so the first two times when they came out there and they did their speaky, speaky talk, talk shit? Cool, that's fine. That that got us into it, and then they had their little pull apart brawl, that's happened, but then now they had a second pull apart brawl that has happened. We're just going to act as if CM Punk is just gonna be okay with the Usos pushing them around. That's a missed opportunity right there. So before we even got to these pull apart brawls, we could have easily had CM Punk going up against Jay Uso because of how hot and heavy and mad he was and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01But then what we could have injury prone almost.
SPEAKER_02And then what we could have had then is they had their protection.
SPEAKER_01It it has to be, bro. Because I mean, shoot, look at what happened to Rumble. And he was supposed to go over.
SPEAKER_02So I do believe I do think what you said is ultimately the the real issue at hand. But then why are they power bombing each other through announces? I mean because analysis could because that's a bump, a singular bump. A singular bump, multiple bumps. And then the announce table is, you know, it's got it's it's made with play-doh and he could go in there and hit a hot tag and get jumped, it'd be alright. And that's that's where I'm coming from. Like, like for instance, going back to what I was mentioning with the Uso thing, right? As long as they don't guard real, they have their thing where they had the conversation and then he pushed them and then they hit each other, right? All right, cool. That means next week, CM Punk needs to be fighting the ooze. All right, and then they have their fight, the match can go for like five, six, seven minutes, and then Roman comes out there and he spears the shit out of them. All right, boom. I'm more interested because now I'm seeing something. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, because it because that this was literally just for him, and honestly, how we had that pull apart brawl, because if I remember correctly, the way that whole the first pull apart brawl kind of happened, uh what was it? They were trying to talk some more shit. Roman Reigns said some real poo doo stuff that really didn't mean shit, kind of thing, and then they started fighting because then the oostes came out there and da-da-da-da. No, like we could have had a match, and then after the match, Roman Reigns then go in there. I was about to say Gene Blast is them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we gotta talk about New Japan too.
SPEAKER_02But it's like, you know, Spears of, and then he goes through the table type thing, and then you know, like we could have had like there's there are so many ways that they could have done with just that to just make this journey a little more spicier, a little more interesting, a little more palpable.
SPEAKER_03And like he's saying about the whole spice situation, it kind of doles it out more when you're kind of doing the exact same thing on the other show, too, is the same thing. It's all bras.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01And then why why are we getting Stephanie McMahon in the situation with Cody to slap him in the face, and it's like, oh, you're not your father?
SPEAKER_03You know, okay, you're not your daddy, you're not your daddy, pimp smack.
SPEAKER_01Like, I feel like I feel like it's Stephanie's kink a little bit to be like, I just want to slap you in the face.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you think it's her kink?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because like bro, like everybody. No, because she slaps everybody.
SPEAKER_03I thought that was eight on H's command.
SPEAKER_01Oh shit. That's what I'm saying. I thought it was his kink. I don't know, bro.
SPEAKER_03But like she even like went upside his head, not even a normal side. She went upside his head, like, come on, act right. It was weird.
SPEAKER_01She's it's like this. Stephanie is always dominant in any situation when it involves a man. That is she always. That's why I'm like, it's it's a power move on her in, or it's just her thing.
SPEAKER_02I don't I myself, I don't have a issue with the whole. I don't have an issue with Stephanie being brought into this and her saying what she did say. Like, I'm not I don't have a problem with that whole piece. No.
SPEAKER_01Because he has connection with Randy. Sure.
SPEAKER_03It would have been, but he already interjected himself in the oboe.
SPEAKER_01I was saying if he didn't do that, it would have made more sense.
SPEAKER_03But it's like everybody's in, like everybody has somebody involved in their mess, no up and down the card now.
SPEAKER_02I feel Stephanie McMahon's involvement with it is more so because like because all she was doing was like, hey, yo, listen, uh, I've been on the receiving end of a crazy Randy Orton, and I'm letting you know if you don't get your shit straight, you're not going to come out of this on top, kind of thing. And I don't mind that part. As a matter of fact, to me, I think it was a great setup just for them to fucking let it all the way down and have that shitty SmackDown situation with fucking Pac McAfee coming out here.
Too Many Pull-Apart Brawls
SPEAKER_02Like Yeah, that that so you are aware of why that happened, right?
SPEAKER_01Uh not fully. TKO was like, yo, we need a celebrity, we need a big name to connect to WrestleMania to get asses in seats. And he felt Pat McAfee would be that. So the calls originally, they didn't have a person in mind, but then the TKO board said, make it Pat McAfee, so people can now be engaged to want to come to the show. I don't give a damn about Pat McAfee being in this situation because it doesn't make any fucking sense.
SPEAKER_03But it's like the Yachty thing in the trick situation.
SPEAKER_01That could be him hanging out with rappers, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_03But what I'm saying is it could literally be anybody else.
SPEAKER_01Literally.
SPEAKER_02And I will agree the fact of like with what you said with like the like Lil' Yachty and Trick Williams, because of the fact that there was there was previous things that Lil Yachty was on that was where he was saying it's like, hey, I want to get involved with WrestleMania, da da da that they like they literally there was a whole commercial about this shit. And so it's like, and then of course, considering the fact that Trick Williams tries, and he really does try to dabble in rap and everything, it's like because he dabbles in that and because he is of that you know genre of taste, it's like having Lil Yachty out there isn't bad. I wish there would have been a a better introduction for why little Yachty is there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like backstage or something like that. You'll bump it into something because I'm like, okay, you're just here ringside. Like, when did you get here?
SPEAKER_02And especially considering the fact the last time we saw Lil' Yachty, he was just in the crowd. Right. He wasn't every stage every time he's been in the crowd. Yeah, he's been in the crowd. And so it's like he was in the crowd, and now he's coming out with trick.
SPEAKER_03But with the Pat thing, okay, you build it up to this whole phone call. And so you're thinking it's gonna be something big, and it's Pat.
SPEAKER_02And Pat McFee could have hit anybody. He he does not m he does not move the dial like that. I don't know why they th maybe it's because they're like because Pat McPhee has his podcast that he does on, you know, regular sports stuff kind of thing. Maybe he's they're trying to get the sports people to want to look at it.
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, so outsider people wanting to watch it could be a thing too. I feel like, man, but he's not in a match. Yeah, he's not he's just a part of the angle.
SPEAKER_02And it's like, sure, like we know. Sure. Now, unless this is their way of kind of doing the thing that I was saying that they could do with the CM Punk situation, where instead of Cody Rhodes fighting Randy Orton, now I guess Cody Rhodes is gonna fight Pat McAfee type thing. But it's like But you got two weeks. Exactly, and that's stupid. And there's so many other well, I can't even say with what they're doing right now, I don't know who else they could have used. They kind of they kind of booked themselves into a corner on this. You kind of booked yourself into a shoot brother.
SPEAKER_03I'm saying because the only payoff with the McAfee situation is okay, he takes a bump at Mania close to the finish. Okay. Now what?
SPEAKER_01Literally, I mean, like, are is he gonna be a heel commentator now? Which he's better as just being Pat.
SPEAKER_02There is the angle that they could have gone with, because literally Monday, Stephanie McMahon is all like, Randy Orton is crazy. He's done some really wild stuff. Alright? Randy Orton could have eaten. We all know Cody Rose drives around with his family. We have Brandy in the back. Punt kick her in the head.
SPEAKER_03Punk kick her in front of the baby.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, punk kick her in front of the child and the dog. You know what I'm saying? Like about the dog, yeah. Like, like we're Stephanie McMahon literally said and alluded to the fact that Randy Orton is capable of some monstrous diabolical shit. All right. And she's like, I would know. He's done it to me. It was heavily implied. Just for him to get Pac McAfee to show up and talk a whole bunch of irrelevant shit.
SPEAKER_01Here's the thing. I feel like, well, they they say there was a reason why he was talking away at it. But if you're talking about if they did that, okay, so obviously don't have the child in the room, like have like a cradle or whatever, and something like that. And then so, like, kind of like with this Vince McMahon was here.
SPEAKER_03If Vince McMahon was here, put the baby in the cradle, have the baby looking over, mama. No.
SPEAKER_01Don't I wouldn't say that. I'd probably be too wild. Some people might actually get mad about that. But like what you could do is you can angle it where, okay, now when he looks over it, you could see the baby, but the baby wasn't in the room. So the baby wasn't present to be there. But you do a camera shot. To where it's like, oh, the baby was there, but you they really weren't.
SPEAKER_03You won't heat, punk, kick in front of the baby.
SPEAKER_01Listen, but that's what I'm saying. You're in front of the baby, but the baby's truly not there when it happened.
SPEAKER_02Which is fine.
SPEAKER_03We can like do the pan over. That's fine. I get that.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. Because it's like, right now, we're in a very, very weird stage of wrestling where it's like, in my opinion, because they don't know, or at least they are choosing to not allow themselves to push a wrestler to get real heat, we end up with situations where we have Randy Orton coming out there doing heel shit, and everyone is cheering him to the fucking moon.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's because I think in this era of wrestling, heels are more likable because as anime fans, we always go for the vegetas of the animes. And in a situation like this, this is that. But plus, people are also tired of Cody. People were extremely pissed that Cody won that title from Drew McIntyre, and they almost started calling him Cody Hogan. So it's just like everybody wants to see their person on top. But the thing about it is with Randy Orton, I I don't really need to see that. I've seen that like what 10 bajillion times?
SPEAKER_03I honestly thought it was the Homelander situation and have Cody go heel and he didn't do it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he even talked about I'll even dye my hair black and go back to that, but I don't know if I can do that. And it's like Yes, you can.
SPEAKER_02He can. I feel as if that, like, because for me, it's more it I feel like they're not doing enough to make you like, cause for them to for for for them to make it okay with Cody Rhodes, we need a reason why we need to want Cody Rhodes to win. And they're not booking Cody Rhodes in a way where it makes us really want a reason for him to win. Like Randy Orton is currently doing heel-ish things, but he is not as diabolical as Stephanie McMahon was trying to make him seem. And it's like, let him be goddamn diabolical. Punt kick the person, punt kick the girl in front of her children, and then him like lean in and do the do do
Celebrities In Angles And Pat McAfee
SPEAKER_02what uh uh uh uh swerve did and and and say some shit to the kid or whatever. And I was like, you see what I did to your chid? You know, like something do we need to make our heels fucking heels.
SPEAKER_03Did Ted win that case?
unknownD.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah, he did. Bring Ted in.
SPEAKER_02Now it's funny you say that. It's funny you say that. Bring Ted in and punt Ted. When they're talking about who they he was on the phone with, I'm thinking everybody. I always like, man, imagine if it could be like DB Aussie or some shit.
SPEAKER_01Everybody kept saying that. Because I'm just saying that. That's story. That? That's real story. That would have done something. That would have, that would have got goosebumps.
SPEAKER_02You know, that that real story. That would have been crazy.
SPEAKER_03That would have been not Or even if you didn't even name them and you just heard his voice and let people put two or two together.
SPEAKER_01Just something, right? It it's just right now the two main matches are really not moving the needle for anybody. And we're just like, yo, can you just have this mania over already? The other matches on the card, you know, we have the women's, uh, the women's world title, you know, with Jay Cargill and and Rhea Ripley, and it's like, okay, EO's in it now in the situation saving.
SPEAKER_02Because I did not watch, and and and please fill me in, both of you, if y'all saw. Was there any explanation on why the two girls that were getting their asses beat by Jade Cargill decided to join her?
SPEAKER_03That's what I was about to bring up, because I was literally about to ask you that. Why all of a sudden now, after being bullied and beat by her for months, now you want to bring the bad girls club part two together? Like, did they has it been Did they give an explanation?
SPEAKER_01I remember them walking down to the ring and saying something. And I feel like it was just connected to the fact that they may not just like Rhea Ripley. I'm not 200% sure, but I have to check that again. Matter of fact, there's probably a video up of them walking down to the ring and saying what it was, just don't remember right now. Because to me, it probably made no sense, and I just toned it out. But EO Sky came to the rescue, and now even though Rhea said, Hey, we gotta separate each other from a tag team, and I gotta go for the singles title. Oh, Eo, thank you for helping me.
SPEAKER_03I mean, she ain't gonna turn down the homie.
SPEAKER_01But I feel like it's just funny, you know?
SPEAKER_03But like you said with the main titles, I feel like we're doing the same thing with the women's titles, because now what Liv has what, Roxanne back?
unknownMm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03So now it's three girls versus one, just like it's three girls versus one.
SPEAKER_01Ooh, yeah, actually, damn.
SPEAKER_03So that's still getting back to okay, why are we doing cookie cutter shit again?
SPEAKER_01Again, we just need to get over this mania, and I think that's it. And I think, you know, what we could do is actually talk about a pay-per-view that just happened last night. And I don't know if you said if you stayed up at 2 a.m. to watch it, I know damn sure I didn't, but uh to try my ass. I was uh I had uh consumable arrangements or or edible arrangements, and uh I was watch matter of fact, I was watching a show on Netflix, I'll talk about it later on. But anyway, um New Japan's Sakura Genesis happened.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. Before we because I we we we I will glad we can go into that, but I did uh I I I I spoke with our Google overlord over here real quick. And the reason, and this is why this is the part where I'm like, you're very valid in your reasons of not remembering, because I know you watched. Apparently, it was because as as as Google says, um, primarily to seek the spotlight and top-tier opportunities they felt they were missing, mirroring the rise of stars like Rhea Ripley. The Alliance uh acting as Cargill's backup provides them with immediate relevancy and a direct path to elite status in the women's division. And that is quoted by Google themselves. So pretty much. It was pretty much like, you know what? If we can't beat them, why not we join them? And because she's the women's champion, that's gonna make i.e. BS bullshit, stupid, very uninspiring story.
SPEAKER_03The exact same thing that happened with Kiera Hogan and Red Velvet. This is the exact same thing. She beat them down till they became subordinates.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that I mean, that's literally what Goku did.
SPEAKER_03Seriously.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, this is the same, this is the same response. Think of Vegeta. I mean, think of Piccolo, TN. Beat your ass so bad, you became a fucking friend. In a sense, but thank you for giving me that insight because I could not remember because it was like, all right, I guess, move on.
SPEAKER_02Um, but I mean, that's kind of what that's with with the way that WrestleMania is, and I'll I'll just throw this out there and we can go ahead and get some New Japan conversations in.
SPEAKER_01And it's funny because it's like we ain't even touched about what's going on with AEW, but they're connected, so I mean New Japan's connected to ABW.
SPEAKER_02But like when it when it comes to WrestleMania right now, it's like when you look if you were to take WrestleMania and just not think about what's been going on with the storylines, when you look at the card as it is right now, the card on paper looks interesting. It looks good. But when you're looking at the what I would consider the half-assed build of each match and the reasons why each match is going on, it is so uninspiring and so we're just trying to do our best with what we got, and so and we're gonna play it extremely like there's nothing, there's nothing exciting that is making me like, ah, this is why they are fighting and trying to beat the hell out of each other. Because like outside of the Cody Rhodes stuff and the Roman Reigns stuff, when you look at everything else, it's just like, meh.
SPEAKER_03But even as a casual, does this make you want to buy a ticket?
SPEAKER_01No, I mean shit. This is your last time to enjoy one because next year, we in Saudi.
SPEAKER_02$32,000 to get we gonna be in Saudi next year.
SPEAKER_01That's what they said they're gonna do, man.
SPEAKER_03I know what they said. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01They got that contract with them and they're gonna try to make it happen.
SPEAKER_02Listen, WWE Listen, them, them, them up team bills of rupees that they're dropping, WWE, rain, sleet, hail, sandstorm, or snow, they're gonna show up in Saudi Arabia. Trump as president or whoever else, they're showing up.
SPEAKER_01I mean, if they can make it, if they can make it over there. It's TKO more than anything than WWE. I don't think WWE gives a damn about it, but TKO does.
SPEAKER_03I know they want to go over there, but if things keep happening the way they happen there, they might have to change their venue.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But that means they're gonna have to own one. They're gonna have to go back eventually anyway.
SPEAKER_01That probably might be a smarter thing to do.
SPEAKER_03They've done it before, the way they moved it and like, all right, well, now you gotta pay that back.
SPEAKER_02Something goes down and like, all right, not sorry. I guess we'll go back to uh uh what where was it? Uh uh uh um uh New Orleans because Oh, you mean you need Las Vegas? Evil because I mean they're doing it.
SPEAKER_01We've done it twice.
SPEAKER_02Three in a row in a row at Vegas will be crazy. Bro, bro. The wrestling community will self-destruct. They will self-destruct.
SPEAKER_03Like last year was already iffy. This year is looking abysmal. You talking about running it back for a third?
SPEAKER_02Bro, like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Bro, that's it.
SPEAKER_03They bet I'm going to Rio or something.
SPEAKER_02Let WWE say we're going back to we're going back to Vegas. For a third. Or do it again.
SPEAKER_01I think that we get so many understanding. That's what we do.
SPEAKER_03Ooh. Ooh, we.
SPEAKER_00Ah, bro.
SPEAKER_01So shifting gears, because we want to definitely talk about this uh pay-per-view
The Problem With Cody And Orton Heat
SPEAKER_01as well, because we already can agree WrestleMania is going to be shit. And we just want to get past it. I mean, X episode we can definitely do on our predictions because we already know what the card is, but for now, um, Soccer Genesis. Okay. Going into this, Kyle Newman has won the um New Japan Cup, and he has a number one contendership to go against Yotosuji for the New Japan heavyweight title. Going into this pay-per-view, you know, I I've never really seen a soccer genesis before, but it's one of their mainstay pay-per-views. Is it's Wrestle Kingdom, um, Oblivion, I think, Soccer Genesis, and there's another one.
SPEAKER_03New Year's Dash, which is right after Wrestle Kingdom.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, New Year's Dash, and then there's um G1 Classic, because that normally G1 Climax. G1 Climax, yeah. G1 Climax. And um I can't remember. I didn't say Don't Taku. I said Oblivion, so Don't Taku might be one of them. But yeah. But yeah, either way. So we have this pay-per-view, and it's kind of like the the major pay-per-view after New Uh, I think it would be technically after Wrestle Kingdom, because it the major one wise.
SPEAKER_03But typically it will be, but it's supposed to be the post what it new Japan Cup.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, post-New Japan Cup. So let's look at this card, and I would like to get everybody's opinion on the matches themselves. Because I mean, you're gonna get my opinion when we finally get to that match. But uh Swag, could you can you tell me what is the first match?
SPEAKER_02So, real quick, before I uh because I I will tell, do you do we talk about the kickoff match or no?
SPEAKER_01Uh it's up to you. I didn't watch that match. I didn't watch that one. I didn't watch that one.
SPEAKER_03Which one was the kickoff match? Was it the one with Kushida in it?
SPEAKER_02Uh who is it? Uh Master Dorada. Uh no, hold on, no, no, no, no, no. Jesus Christ. You will get the guy who can't pronounce shit. Oh, I'll pass I'll I'll give it to you because you can pronounce them better.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Master Sorada. I know it's we have uh Tetsay Nakar Nakahara. And let's see, here is uh Kushida, and we have uh Tetsuyuta Matsumoto. Oh yeah, he's one of the young young lions. Okay. So that was the match, and guess how it ended?
SPEAKER_03I mean, I would assume Kushida wouldn't.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no, no. Guess how the match it like what was the finish to the match? Guess what the finish was to the match?
SPEAKER_02Oh, well, of course, if they're young lions. Well, no crab, was it? Yeah. I love this. So I have I have this theory that, you know, it is young lions cannot break out of a lion tamer.
SPEAKER_03Yes, that's that is pretty much it.
SPEAKER_01That's that's it. And it was a young lion who put it on, I believe, another young lion.
SPEAKER_03Right. Like it's how I go. Lariat Crab. And if you can't get out of that crab, you're screwed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've anytime I watch a match, is always the lion's hamer to beat the young lion. And so far, I have been correct every single time. I have not seen a young lion make it out of a lion hamer yet. Oh, yeah, he he does the the lion hammer where he bounces. And and and and me and Xion, we we spoke about this, and he also agreed. And it's just also the state of New Japan right now. Watching this pay-per-view, the pay-per-view wasn't bad or anything, but it's like you watch this pay-per-view, and number one, you can feel how badly New Japan is hurting right now. That's the first thing. And the lack of star power, it's like we were watching a pay-per-view of mid-cards, respectfully, but it was a mid-card pay-per-view. Everyone in their match, and almost even with the main event. Yuto Ice and his partner aside, it felt like it was just mid-carters, low mid-carters, mid-mid-carters, and upper mid-carters. The only people who really feel like main eventers are the tag team champions.
SPEAKER_01And Tanosuke Takesha, even though he's not New Japan.
SPEAKER_02And that's the thing.
SPEAKER_01I don't count Takeshka because he's not New Japan. Well, I I'll actually I'll give it to Shoda, um, Shoda, uh Shodo Youma. He actually has, even though he has that interesting target.
SPEAKER_03It's the whole back and forth with him. He keeps having it, he keeps having it, then keeps losing it. It's not like Shingo. Shingo's established. He's there. It's clear cut. Versus uh Shoda Umina is back and forth. It's always something to where it's like you'll have it one match, and then the next month I see you, and it's like, bro, what the heck happened to the guy I saw last month? Like, it isn't like uh Master Wado. Don't get me wrong, Wado's still mid Carter, but I'll take Wado over Yoshihashi any day of the week.
SPEAKER_01And Shingo Takaga is my guy.
SPEAKER_03Just oh I've never had nobody have me so hype for Illyriot since JBL.
SPEAKER_01Bro, dead ass. Like dead ass. Dead ass. But I will also like to say I do love that compared to everywhere else, you know, we don't ever get stages anymore. We don't ever get different variations of stages, and I will give this much to New Japan while it was a small little phone screen of us of a stage. We have different variations of their stages. It will, and I love that much.
unknownI don't know why we lost that.
SPEAKER_01Stages are very important. It doesn't matter. No, I I remember the uh Armageddon flame uh the flaming A. That I remember I was at that one and it was on fire, and I felt the heat all day.
SPEAKER_02Now, because they had it a couple times. Are you talking about where they had where they just had the single?
SPEAKER_01Well, it was the one on the right hand side.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wait, no, so then yeah, you're talking about the single uh It was in Orlando, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's the one I went to on my mom, and I remember watching that. I remember Booker T was in one of the matches because my mama had a crush on both Booker T and Yvonne. Why D Von?
SPEAKER_02Because she likes a good looking brother.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no. Her quote and her quote, ugly niggas fuck better.
SPEAKER_03Um coach, you heard that. I ain't say that. I ain't say that, coach.
Women’s Division Alliances Feel Cookie Cutter
SPEAKER_03You ugly as hell, but I love you, but goddamn.
SPEAKER_01So she was like, I know he's gonna fuck be good. And I was like, oh, that's crazy, bro. Oh, that's funny.
SPEAKER_03But that's crazy. But back to your point. Yes, New Japan will at least make the stages feel like something different every time.
SPEAKER_01Yes, it will. And so when we go into this first match, do you got to me, it only went seven minutes. That was crazy. It went seven minutes.
SPEAKER_03He got Maka Bay in there. He ain't gonna do that much, bro.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_03I'm just right. He shouldn't.
SPEAKER_01I mean, he's she's she's chilling, you know what I'm saying? I feel like I missed the the um what is the the Rumble match they have at uh Wrestling?
SPEAKER_03The Rambo.
SPEAKER_01The Rambo. I love seeing them in the Rambo because it makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Right, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that, but anything outside of that, it's like, nah, I don't see I don't need to see you in a full-fledged match.
SPEAKER_03I'll tolerate him in tag league because he's not by himself. Yeah, not too much. But like you said, then you get matches like this though.
SPEAKER_01And and TMDK in general, I know you're not too big of a fan of TMDK, but they won the match. So, any thoughts about the match? I mean, because it was very fast.
SPEAKER_03I don't really. I made standing match. I said, just do better with Wato. We do not need him being Yoshihashi part two.
SPEAKER_01No, let's stop that. Okay, so we could both agree. Very quick match. Not much really to ride on, unfortunately, because you know, while Harley got the jacket at jagged edge, uh done in seven minutes. So we got that. Next match is a triple uh threat. Well, not triple threat, excuse me. That's a three-man tag, and we have Robbie X, we have Tajuri, and we have Shingo, and then we have um going against, well, it's technically Unbound company versus uh United Empire, and we have Jacob Austin Young, which is Jay. His abbreviation is Jay. I just find that funny. Uh, we have Francisco, and then we also have Jake Lee. I love Jake Lee's character.
SPEAKER_03But he also did not give a damn about this match.
SPEAKER_01He did. He came out of Prime Mask. He did not care.
SPEAKER_02Jake Lee was literally a number one contender fighting for the heavyweight title.
unknownLike what, a month ago?
SPEAKER_01Literally a month ago.
SPEAKER_02Barely a month ago. And then now he's just ladding sure. Like, just fuck this. Yeah, bro. He just it's like he like he like he's like, all right, I I mean, whatever. I don't care. And then they lose. And he and even even the announcer was all like, well, it doesn't seem like it bothered him any.
SPEAKER_03And just la.
SPEAKER_02He's just like, all right, whatever.
SPEAKER_03He is more absent minded right now than Okada was with the balloon. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Please don't pay me back to that. Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_03I'm saying. It was that kind of like. I'm like, what are we doing? No.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I hope you weren't there for there. So you know Okada as the wrestling god kind of Okada. But there was a point where he dyed his hair red, and his whole gimmick was about a balloon. Kool-Aid Okada was not good. Kool-Aid Okada. I would not have said that, but damn. But yeah, he was lost. And I think he'd even have money rained down. It was like stream. It was like uh It was like streamers. Yeah, that that literally. And it was a that was the gimmick for a while. He would still wrestle the same. Right. But yeah, he was definitely having a midlife crisis.
SPEAKER_03He dang sure won't win in the same. Yes. What was the dumb move he tried to even get over around that time?
SPEAKER_01The red ink. I think it might have been red ink because it was related to like sign up on the show. Possibly, possibly. Yeah, but nah, that's no. But Shingo takes the win for Unbound Company by putting over Jake Austin Young. Well, not putting over Jake. He pins Jake Austin Young with The Last of the Dragon. But overall, it was an eight-minute match. So thoughts. How did y'all feel about that one?
SPEAKER_03Shingo won, I'm happy. Call it a day.
SPEAKER_02I was I was stuck on the whole Jake Lee situation because I was like, Oh no, he would go. I'm just like, what? And then for the first time. The last half of the match, didn't you say he wasn't even in there? No. No, he was not. He was just like the last half of the match. And and so like that that match goes by. And it was around this time where I'm just like, now granted, we're only a couple matches in, but I'm just like, this pay-per-view is is like a this is like a like a raw episode.
SPEAKER_01And and we do apologize when we're talking about this. It's going to get better, but like the first five matches were just matches. They they really were just matches.
SPEAKER_02Like I it wasn't until we started getting into the first House of Torture match, which I think is the next one, ain't it? It wasn't until like this came. Now maybe I'm biased because I love you some House of Torture. Maybe you are biased. But like, but even then, at least there is a bit of story and like purpose a little bit behind the House of Torture match.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_03So as convoluted as they can come out sometimes.
SPEAKER_01Show is just charismatic when he ever gets on the mic. Now, granted, we don't know Japanese, but thankfully we have translation and just him in general being like, I mean, all you guys are old fucks. So we're gonna beat you up now and just go.
SPEAKER_03But I've always noticed with Show, he is always better when he is opposite yo. He's always better when he is opposite yo.
SPEAKER_01They used to be a tag team, right? Right.
SPEAKER_03They used to be Rapungi 3K.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I remember that. I remember that. Yeah, Rapungi 3K, remember Rapungi Vice? Yeah, so it it's so uh Rocky um Romero, he was manager to them. And they won the tag team titles at one time. A few times. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, but Show was always more standout than yo. He always was. But every time he's putting foot in Yo's ass, it's always a good time.
SPEAKER_01It's funny because yeah, yo was in that match. Uh we have uh Yano, we have Tiger Mask, and we have Aaron Wolf, which Aaron Wolf, man, he had such a strong start.
SPEAKER_03It's the Olympian push. They want him to be there at Kurt Angle.
SPEAKER_01But that's the thing. He has such a strong start going into Wrestle Kingdom, and I feel like in April, he's just another guy.
SPEAKER_03Because they what was it, Wrestle Kingdom? He beat Evil. Then Evil beat him back, right?
SPEAKER_01It was good too. No.
SPEAKER_03No, Evil didn't beat him. Who beat him? Ren?
SPEAKER_01Uh Ren beat him for the title. Oh, yeah, but Ren beat him for the title. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's like so for me, with the way I see with with Aaron Wolf, like I feel, I feel the two issues, I think, is number one, they it's like they want to push Aaron Wolf, but they're trying to tell this Aaron Wolf versus House of Torture story type situation. That's what I'm feeling they're trying to do before they get Aaron Wolf to do something else. Because Aaron Wolf, in my mind, I'm like, oh, he's gonna take the he was I thought I I he was the one I was betting on winning the uh the tournament. And then House of Torture buried his ass. I mean, I I'm talking like I'm because first round, he goes up against one of the House of Torture guys. You think he's gonna win? Bro, House of Torture times two came out there to assure him that he did not fucking win.
SPEAKER_01They was like, bro, anybody but you look bro, that's what it felt like.
SPEAKER_03But I mean, that is house of torture, though. That is house of torture. That's what makes it funny. So you're right. It is, he has to basically get done with whatever this storyline arc is before he before he sees another level.
SPEAKER_02And what was the discus lariat that we was talking about? How like he goes through all of this to only go in there just just to then become the leader of House of Torture? And that would be some crazy dog. Actually, that would probably be fun.
SPEAKER_01Because it'll be like the lone wolf. You know what I'm saying? Like he'll be the lone wolf and whatever. And then it'd be funny enough with House of Torture, they start doing the howls.
unknownTrue.
SPEAKER_01You know, it's like everybody we howl.
SPEAKER_03Because technically, right now, with House of Torture, who's your leader?
SPEAKER_01You said what?
SPEAKER_03Who's your leader?
SPEAKER_01Aaron Wolf. I would make it if we're gonna say right now.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Think about it. You always have a number one and a number two guy, no matter what. Doki. Is your leader? Doki. Your light heavyweight.
SPEAKER_01Right now, I feel like he's the leader. That, but that's not good because that's not long term. It's not, but I'm saying, like, currently, because he's the one, he's the number.
SPEAKER_03So Doki, Doki over Ren?
SPEAKER_01I don't think it's Ren right now.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm not. I'm saying I know it's not Ren, but I'm saying Doki over Ren.
SPEAKER_01I don't, okay, no, I'm just going off a presentation, I think it's Doki. But if I was gonna pick anybody.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that whole squad.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna lie, it's between Shu, because he's a talker, and Fale.
SPEAKER_03And it can't be Fale.
SPEAKER_01But Fale's presence, like if he actually was a true Don, like almost.
SPEAKER_03He hasn't been true Don since he had the IC title.
SPEAKER_01I know, but I'm just like, if they pulled the trigger, if he's like, Yo, I'm a manager now, and not really a wrestler, and he just truly sat on the throne and just be a Don and be like, yo, take him out. Oh, like uh come on, man.
SPEAKER_03Like Armando Estrada should have been whatever his name.
SPEAKER_01Well, like think about that.
SPEAKER_03Which I agree.
SPEAKER_02Like for a while, like when I was first getting acclimated to this New Japan, you know, grounds, when I saw him, I figured that he would be. And then it was like, no, it's evil. But then once evil left, in my mind, I'm like, why is he not? Like, why would he because he's the big he's the big dude. He's got the cane, he's got the look that where he could be looked at as the leader. However, I forget which one is the one that has the mask and is the champion right now? Doki. Okay. But it's like, as of right now, the way I see it, to me, I think Doki comes off as the leader. The leader as of right now. Yeah, he comes off. But like, it's but that thought wet process with like where where Aaron Wolf becomes the the the the new leader of house.
SPEAKER_01I mean But he has to, I would feel like he needs to grow out his hair like a little bit more and then not be as clean shade and he can look like a wolf, then yeah, I I would sell it.
SPEAKER_03He'd have to go finish his baby face phase off and then something drastic has to happen from the switch.
SPEAKER_01I would say maybe in another match, maybe if he destroys Tiger Mass. Because Tiger Mass is apparently getting ready to retire.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they did make that a big thing when he left, because like after after the match, you know, they like everyone else left and then they played his music.
SPEAKER_03If he destroys Tiger Mass, then for me, he needs to destroy Yano too.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03Cause think about it, he destroys Tiger Mass, Yano's like, yo, no, what are you doing? Blah, blah, blah, blah, burder you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, like in a situation where it's like them in a like a match or whatever, like just kind of like this one, and he just turns. Right. And, you know, and say he could say something like what happens to a wolf when he takes out a tiger. You know, think about how like something is powerful that I feel like that would be a good story. Um, but yes, uh, Aaron Wolf actually beats um uh beats one of the members by doing his triangle troke that he we originally didn't have a name for when he did it on uh evil. But when we saw it at WrestleKing, it was like, yo, that shit was solid. Yeah, that shit was solid. That was like, bro, that was your first match, and you look like you was in this forever. Bro, like evil sold the hell out of here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, evil carried him, bro. Yeah, evil carried him. But wait, so what was the name?
SPEAKER_01Uh the move. Oh the wrestling? Um he calls it Triangle Trope. Oh, they ain't got no special name. It's Triangle Troke. Yeah, Triangle Trope. Something like that. You it you have to have a cool name. You have to have a cool name.
SPEAKER_03Sink your teeth in something.
SPEAKER_01So then we have Will Ospreay's first match back in New Japan next, which this is where I thought the pay-per-view would kick off because it's Osprey. It's Osprey. And we have El Desperado, we have Tai Chi, and we have uh Yuda Yuda Umro, and we have Yumira. Sorry, Ymira. Your mira, my bad. I had to learn that too. Yeah. And you have Great Old Khan. Is it uh Hira? Hinade. Hinade. And we have Will Osprey. So we have uh Uda Company. Uh United Empire versus versus just basically randoms.
SPEAKER_03So Yeah, because I don't even think they're considered
Switching To New Japan Sakura Genesis
SPEAKER_03Hantai.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, they don't they're they're just not despiced. I don't think desperate he used to be in uh LI uh J.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. Uh Desp was um Suzuki Gong. Him and Tai Chi was Suzuki.
SPEAKER_01That's why he was in L. No, that was uh That was uh uh um you uh I'm mad at that. Not Yoshi uh Ibishi or Bushi. Bushi, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's where because he's in um Because Ibushi was Kenny's kissing buddy.
SPEAKER_01Got you, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Bushi is Naito's.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's why I don't know, maybe because they're both mask-wearing wrestlers. I kind of got that mixed up, but you are correct.
SPEAKER_03But nah, Despie, Despi versus Bushi, nah, despite it. Whatever happens to Zuki. But he's old, man. He had to chill out.
SPEAKER_01But he's still wrestling, I thought.
SPEAKER_03Well, I think the whole thing was the match that he lost. When he lost, they had to disband. So at this point, um And this is his second time doing that, because the first time they literally had to leave New Japan altogether to come back.
SPEAKER_01Because uh wasn't Zack Saber Jr. in Suzuki Goon, right? Correct. Okay, that makes more sense. That's why it made TMDK, which is his own squad now. The Mighty Don't Kneel, which is still a dope ass name. I don't give a fuck what anybody says. What was the name is hard?
SPEAKER_02What was the one that I said?
SPEAKER_03Uh uh Oh my gosh. Uh something wasn't the Mighty Duck something.
SPEAKER_02No, it was something very much, very much flexible. Close. It was like uh the mighty like uh because what's the initials again?
SPEAKER_01Dick touching, you said something like dick touching.
SPEAKER_00That's what it was.
SPEAKER_01Too much dick touching.
SPEAKER_02Too much dick touching. There it is.
SPEAKER_01Too much dick kissing or something like that. Oh no, K. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, no, it was too much dick kissing. That's what I said.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he said that shit.
SPEAKER_02I was like, what the fuck? What in the fuck? Yeah. TFDK was like too much dick kissing?
SPEAKER_01And that shit was crazy. That shit was crazy. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We don't need to do the bronze, please though.
SPEAKER_02But when it came to this match though, like, and how you would say the fact like things did not like this match to me, it was it was such a throwaway like match. And honestly, to me, the match itself did not matter. It's what it was like they had this match just so that they can have the cutscene after the match, which is you know, um great o'con, then them jumping them in and and and uh uh what's the all like whoa whoa whoa bro what what are y'all doing? He's all like this is what we do now.
SPEAKER_03Which I could have sworn they always did that though. That's the thing, is like, have you forgotten? I don't know. You taught us this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's all like, wait, wait, but but but we won. Like, we you know, like why why are we not? I don't know, dude.
SPEAKER_03It's weird. It's like Osprey has amnesia, like you started the whole group when you jumped Okada.
SPEAKER_01Like I'm too much of a baby face. The the the American air has turned me. I don't know smog and a Starbucks. Probably. But uh Will Ospreay hits uh Tai T with the Stormbreaker 14 minutes in. You know, that was the match we got. And I mean, Will Ospreay gave what I would assume his New Japan style of match would be.
SPEAKER_03But this was another match. It seemed water down to me. Yeah, it was very much like that. Oh, yeah, he was he was chilling. Yeah, he was definitely chilling.
SPEAKER_01Ain't nothing crazy. I think he was saving himself for AEW, which is crazy.
SPEAKER_02Which I mean, it would be smart. It would be smart. I don't want to end up like homie who went to TNA and hurt himself and they got let go.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. So next up we have the fifth match, which is the final of the matches we need to get out of the way, is going to be uh Bishimon, which I cannot stand this team. I just don't like to see. I love Godo. Yeah, Godo is is goaded, but I just don't like this team. I don't like their theme music, I don't like the presentation of it. It's just I don't like what they they're basically I don't like Yoshihashi. I don't I he's just he's just he he's just a guy to me. I don't like what and he also is he's technically um his outfit's representation of uh uh what's the folklore legend of um guy too. I know what you're talking about. Uh yeah, the monkey. Um uh Son Wu Karl. Yeah, and it's just like I don't like that either. And it's like you got all that gear on going out to the ring every time. Nah, man, it's just not it's just no, I don't like it.
SPEAKER_03Remember when Kenta stole his staff? Kenta stole.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, and was talking to it every day? Those were good times. Kenta needs to come back to New Japan, even though he's in uh which is weird to say he's in Noah. Like all of the the older New Japan guys are in Noah. And like while I try to watch Noah, I'm like, I don't see you motherfuckers. I don't I don't never see you every time I watch it.
SPEAKER_03Ever since they did that whole uh Japan 10 deal or whatever, it's only really New Japan, Noah, and like I want to say DDT. Because I don't even see all Japan, uh nothing like that.
SPEAKER_01I want to get back into watching stardom too, though.
SPEAKER_03Okay, my bad forgot stardom. So yes, you got those four. Outside of that, it's like you really don't see them that much. And then it's like, like you said, if they're not on New Japan, it's like, okay, you go tune into Noah. What the hell are y'all doing over here?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like who the fuck are these guys? I'm like, nobody's like, nobody's like, oh wow, I'm gonna watch more of him.
SPEAKER_03It's just like I might know every other person, maybe.
SPEAKER_01I don't know anybody on that motherfucking card. Anyway, uh, but so with this match, we also had uh Bolton and we had Chase Owens, we had uh the the Tokyo pimp himself. Okay, um, and we also had Ren. So you were mentioning before how you felt like he is the leader right now.
SPEAKER_03He should be, he's being groomed to be, but like you're saying, it's like title-wise, he should be. Because he's the never overweight champion. Right. Title wise, he should be, but yeah, he's not there yet.
SPEAKER_01I just still think it's show. Show he's the talker to me. And plus, whenever he says we're gonna beat you up, it happens. Ren doesn't say that shit. Ren just puts the code on the fucking camera, which I do find it fun. I like her as sold out, just camera. Yeah, but show is the one that says beat him up, go do it. And he also continues on evil's, you know, ring the bell and the match is over.
SPEAKER_03But you can have but you can have your talker guy just like um how Carl uh Anderson used to always talk for the book club, no matter who was in charge. You can always have your talker guy. So I don't mind that happening, but Ren, yeah, he needs to get up there.
SPEAKER_01He at some point.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it's kind of like what because you saying that made me think about like how with the shield, like Dean Ambrose, he was the he was the talker.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02He was the talker. But the whole time Seth Rollins was the leader.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You you have a point there. Uh but with this match, uh, how did you guys feel about it?
SPEAKER_03I didn't really feel as much as I love House of Torture, the problem was as soon as Yoshi Hashinim came out. I kind of just I already knew who was gonna win. I'm like, oh crap.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, so yeah, they did win too. Yeah, they did. They went, uh they won with the Shoto. Which is an interesting, it's the that's not the other one where they do a combined move with Bolton, which is them holding your opponent and he does the splash, which I'm like, that's such a basic ass move.
SPEAKER_03Because it's really the GTR combination just with Oleg doing the splash. That's all that really is.
SPEAKER_01But uh yeah, it was a 12 in minute match, and I mean, I don't even know what's going on with Chase Owens, too, because like Chase Owens, he used to be Bullet Club, and then he went house of torture, but it's like he's almost like road dog to me nowadays. Like he's just there. Yeah, he's just there. He's just there.
SPEAKER_03He went from Billy Gunn to Kip James.
SPEAKER_01Damn. The real ones understand that reference. Alright, so we can now actually talk about the real pay-per-view. So let's talk about let's talk about the last few matches we have here because I think this is where we're gonna actually talk into more of it. But uh Kenosuke Takesha versus Yamata. Not Yamata, umino. Umino, yeah, my bad. Umino. And this match was for the uh New Japan World TV Championships. Now, I know I was turned up the minute I hear Takasha's music, and he's the minute that is the minute you're like, and I'm alluring you now, you're awake, and that energy alone gets you hyped for the fucking match. The theme music, too, uh Aura farming at its finest. But uh how did you guys feel about this match overall since they ended it with a draw?
SPEAKER_03I
Early Card Reactions And New Japan Star Power
SPEAKER_03appreciate them at least throwing bombs to the end. At least that. I mean, if you're gonna go to a draw, at least be trying to kill each other. So I'll give them that.
SPEAKER_02Love Tekeshka. All right, he is the alpha. I it's weird. I had a because it is just the way that I am like when I see someone like him, like at first I'm like, all right, hold on. Let me be real skeptical. Let me not bandwagon here. And then as I watched him through AEW, I'm like, nah, this nigga the real deal. And even though the match was extremely overbooked, him and uh um humano? Well, no, no, no, like when he was in AEW, when him and Kidney had their match when they came out there and they dressed as their anime counterparts. Yeah, the bug, yeah. Like I said, extremely overbooked, way too many falsies and just getting up because you ah, but like that won me over for him. And then now the stuff that he's doing right now, especially in New Japan, he's got too many timeout matches, like it's it's solid.
SPEAKER_01Now I will agree, it's to protect them both, but he's been doing it with Moxley too many times, and then now doing it for this match.
SPEAKER_03Because honestly, he does it when um what what was the other contract he has? Because he has like three contracts right now. He has the AEW contract, the new Japan contract, and somebody somewhere else. Right, and they do that a lot with him.
SPEAKER_02I think for for me, the way it is, the what I feel is the fact like it's like they want to make him the guy so bad, but in order to make him be the guy, they have it's one of those things where it's like they it's like they want to make him be the guy, but they're too afraid to allow him to beat other guys to become the guy.
SPEAKER_01Here's the thing if Takesha was in New Japan, contracted to New Japan right now, he would still be their heavyweight champion.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he'd be the biggest thing that they got.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, if he would if he was tied to them and them alone.
SPEAKER_02Yes, they had Takesha.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, if it was them and him, if he was tied to just New Japan, he would be champion right now. He would be Okada, literally.
SPEAKER_01Right now, literally be Okada. And that and then that's the way that match could happen properly.
SPEAKER_02But it's like the way that they're doing him, it's almost like the way that they're Doing him is how I feel about or is how I'm feeling with Trick Williams, and it's the fact where it's like Trick Williams is hot and he's good. Honestly, Tekeshka is better, I will say that, but it's like it's one of those things like he's good, but there are so many people who are at the top right now that the companies are making money off of, and they just don't have the wiggle room to put Tekeshka in that top spot right now. He is a top guy through and through, but the problem is the fact that not in New Japan, but like at AEW, you know, we have your MJFs and all these other people, and it's like you can only have there's only enough room for like six top guys at a time. The pillars, and like Tekeshka, he's like number eight on that list, and so it's like Tekeshka should beat John Moxley so that he can go up into that upper rank, but we're making money on John Moxley right now, so we can't just let Takeshka beat him, and so we gotta make it seem like Takeshka can beat him, but we can't let him lose. And that's where I'm feeling, and even for some reason they're doing it in New Japan with him here, like you know, he needs to be in this spot, but it's like we Because he needs to raise up Umano, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's what it is.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think, yeah, because Umana, because he could he, if you properly build him, he can be almost a level of um ace. He has a very similar look today, right?
SPEAKER_03But he needs to fight a persona and stick with it and stop changing every couple of months. I'm like, take a shit. Take a shit is take a shit. I'm gonna whoop your ass. Whether you can take it or not is up to you. Because he's gonna go ball to the wall. Take a shit is going to whoop your ass the entire match. Survive if you can.
SPEAKER_02And it's funny because like with this particular match, it's the same thing, but for uh what's his opponent's name? Uh uh Umino. It's but it's the same thing for Umino. They want Umino to be in that upper echelon of people, but in this particular case, Takeshka is already up there and we're making money with Takeshka. So we need to make it look like you can beat him without beating him because we don't want you to beat him yet, because we need Takeshka still to be really, really strong for future reasons, kind of thing.
SPEAKER_03And here's my other thing with Take, and I hate to say this, you know what's gonna happen. Somebody's gonna get hurt. Yep. One or two people gonna get hurt while somebody's on vacation, and then boom.
SPEAKER_01That's when it happens.
SPEAKER_03And then it's gonna be one of those things to where people are gonna be clamoring to fight him to get their belt back. That's what's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_01Overall, good match. This is when the this is when the pay-per-view came alive, and then the next match was match of the fucking night. I used to know you to yes, I bro, way he be cutting promos, again, it makes me like I really wish I stood to my Japanese, you know, and learning that because man, he be cutting them. He be cutting them promos.
SPEAKER_03I'm damn sure some Rapungi vernacular if I do say so. True, true that. But yeah, them boys, them boys. Knockout bros, yeah. Like, like take a shit. They feel like stars. Yes. They have presence, yes, they have it.
SPEAKER_01Oscar is like, he's it's weird. He's like, he's almost a cane when it comes to how he wrestles. He's a big man who could do a hurricane rana, like he gives that vibe. But I'm trying to give, like, what is the other S because when he walks, it gives almost like a uh Andre the Giant feel because he he has that shape.
SPEAKER_03He had he has like the bigger low or to where it's like, I know I'm what I'm doing. I know I can act a fool.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say, like uh, like Kevin Nash.
SPEAKER_03He got the swagger, yeah, but like He moved way better than Nash really.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Which is why I was like, I would.
SPEAKER_02I wasn't going to.
SPEAKER_03When they he had uh when he had him in the tombstone to get out of the tombstone, and then Old Boy actually got him over the ropes clean, no hiccups, no malfunctions. It's rare to see two big dudes do that. Yeah, rare, very rare.
SPEAKER_01But uh again, Zach Taber Jr. and uh is it Re uh Riohey that's what I thought it was. I just want to make sure I pronounce it Riohe. But as a tag team, man, this is their second time defending against them, and I was very worried.
SPEAKER_03I wasn't the history of tag league kind of speaks for itself, and normally if you don't win your tag league match, you're not gonna beat the current champions until they lose it to somebody else. That's just what I know from watching.
SPEAKER_01I have not watched it well enough to know that, but I I was worried because you know we've had that conversation of how Zack Saber Jr. is their favorite guy gen over there. I I truly believe.
SPEAKER_03But I do, but I do understand your point. But it's normally normally with how the tag scene goes, if you don't win that tag league match, normally it takes you three to four. So say if they face him again for that third, now I'd be worried.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that makes more sense. I just feel like, man, right now there is no other tag team that deserves these belts besides the knockout bros. Agree. Nobody is like uh Zach and the Warrior number two.
SPEAKER_03We done each number two twice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They are they are making they are doing for the tag league what we need somebody in the world heavyweight title spot to do for the company. Cause like when you look at like to me, out of everything that happens, like I almost feel like it's cheating when we throw in Takeshka because he's technically he's not a New Japan talent. So just going off of New Japan talent, as far as the people who was in this pay-per-view, the people who are in the main event, and then the people who are in this tag team match, those are your main those those are the main events of New Japan. The uh the the knockout bros are New Japan stars. And they are even more through and through stars, because he brought this up when we was
House Of Torture Talk And Faction Leadership
SPEAKER_02on our way here, in the fact that like they were they came to New Japan, they were born as lions, they made a name for themselves. They are they are New Japan's homegrown talent who got over on their own, and now they are the tag team champions, and they are have such a star power and presence. They're just chemistry. They're just they're doing it. And so it's like they come out, it's like, mmm, now this is what this is what a new Japan star looks like, type thing. And but now I feel they're in a spot where they almost are running out of things to do.
SPEAKER_01Well, they did challenge uh Bishimon and also who was the other tag team that came out.
SPEAKER_03It was Hanari and Okan, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh, yeah, from um United Empire.
SPEAKER_03So I know who I want to win. Who do you think wins that number one contender?
SPEAKER_01Bishimon. Fuck. If we're being real, Bishimon.
unknownI hope.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I feel like what they're getting ready to do is what WWE normally does, even though I feel like it's gonna be Bishimon, I'm hoping it's United Empire because if you are going to push a faction which looks like they're trying to do a um United Empire, you have, well, we're not gonna talk about it yet, but we have a particular champion, and now you need to make sure everybody else in the group gets belts. So that way the faction looks like a threat. As it should be normally, but Uschima.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Um so again, we can overall say best match of the night. Easy easy best match of the night. But since we already pressed for time, we definitely want to make sure we can go over the biggest match of the night, which was uh Yoto Suji versus Cal Newman. And this was for the IWGP heavyweight champion.
SPEAKER_02So here's my problem with this match. It did not feel like the biggest match of the night. It did not.
SPEAKER_03It I I mean, and because of it, it felt like that for one reason, though. Why old boy was getting his ass whooped.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you talking counting him? Yeah, he was getting his ass.
SPEAKER_02He earned that. Fair enough. I'll I'll give it that. But like, and unfortunately, I I blame the former champion. He did not make like for me going into this, like, to me, like his championship reign is easily forgettable.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, it's a transitional champion in my brain.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he a hundred percent. Like, he and it's funny how he like talked all this stuff as we've covered previously, but then it's like, all right, so you feel this way, do something about it. And he's done nothing, virtually nothing, since he's had the belt.
SPEAKER_03But caveat, to be fair, I feel like the last few New Japan heavyweight reigns have all been transitional to me ever since Sonata got his hands on it.
SPEAKER_01Oh man, let's not talk about Sonata because that'd be a good thing.
SPEAKER_03I'm just saying since tomorrow between Sonata and now, hasn't everything felt transitional?
SPEAKER_01Well, he has he wasn't privy to that, but I was privy to it.
SPEAKER_02Funny, because like I started when uh by when I started really watching, Takeshka was the champion.
SPEAKER_01So remember Sonata, the mirror man? Yes, he was their heavyweight champion at one point.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03Just five guys heavyweight champion.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And who took the belt from him? Was it Evil? I think it was. Because I just remember him going against uh Shingo.
SPEAKER_02Who did Takesh? So when I who is it that Takeshka beat for the title?
SPEAKER_01Um Godo. Okay. Yeah, guy Shimon. He was champion and he lost it because he was going to do Street Fighter. Okay. Yep. Got it. That was the reason why he lost it.
SPEAKER_02Okay, okay. Now that's okay, that makes the time, which is why I can see now why it's like been it's like boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. There's never been a very long rain in New Japan in years, like a 300-day rain or something like that since Okada, I think. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And as well as things like, grant, we don't necessarily need one, but we need for New Japan's sake, we need a rain that fucking matters.
SPEAKER_01Which I feel like this Cal Newman one, now that he's won the title, I feel like he could do that if if you properly book the situation with him now being the prince and him, he made his way and he's just trying to transition into that. I feel like if you make United Empire the main state of the company, which unfortunately it's a bunch of Gaijens, except one.
SPEAKER_02Uh but which I mean this will probably be for another podcast, but it's real crazy how it is New Japan and it's being run by the Gaijens, boy. I tell you.
SPEAKER_03Well, they love their Gaijan races. They do, they do. But to be, but to be fair, so check this out. So Sonata was the last long rain. Under 300, though. 271.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03After that, and these are all under 150 days at most. Literally goes Nito, Moxley, Nito.
SPEAKER_01I remember that rain. I remember that rain.
SPEAKER_03Saber. Goto. Saber. Take a shit. Then Suji, then Newman. You said take a shit.
SPEAKER_01Take a shit.
SPEAKER_03I'll be calling Take a shit the whole time.
SPEAKER_02I'm sorry. I'm saying my face.
SPEAKER_03I blame blame Cornett. Blame Cornet.
SPEAKER_02Which I don't know why. I mean, I guess because Cornette just don't really like Japanese wrestling.
SPEAKER_03But he loves Take a shit. He just does hasn't changed the.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's oh, it's because he can never say it right.
SPEAKER_03Right. He cannot say it right. He cannot say Takesta to save his life.
SPEAKER_02And so, which I mean, it's good for him to be safe. Like, you know, I'm gonna just call him Take A shit.
SPEAKER_03But he loves, but that's the only Japanese guy that he loves is take a shit. That's fine. But yes, all of those reigns, none of them were like over like three, four months.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like maybe a couple of a couple of days. But um, watching this match, I'll definitely say, man, Kyle Numi, he was getting his ass kicked. Yotosuji was dominating. He hit like what three Gene Blasts.
SPEAKER_03Now, as soon as Red Shoe was out, I knew. Oh Lord, here we go.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and he hit uh Kyle Noomie hit him with the Excalibur, he hits him with the uh uh kiss the crown, uh, and then finally he's able to, after three attempts to hit the makeway, he finally hits it and wins. But due to him hitting a low blow through rough distraction, which by the way, I found it interesting. We had a ref bump that felt very WWE like. I don't see a lot of rough bumps like that in New Japan.
SPEAKER_03With red shoes, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Red shoes, yeah, but like not everybody.
SPEAKER_03No, not everybody, no, but you'll get you'll get one with New Japan, you'll get one serious ref bump every two, three months.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And normally it's red shoes. Normally.
SPEAKER_01Because you know, you gotta pay them extra for that.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you're already paying his son, so yeah, you gotta pay him too.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. But overall with this match, what were your guys' final opinion on it? Because it ends the pay-per-view and then it starts the rain of the.
SPEAKER_03I like the match. I understand Callum. Sorry. How do you say it's Callum Newman? Thank you. Callum
Takeshita Vs Umino Draw And Momentum
SPEAKER_03is getting his whole oh everybody left me phase, you know, on and popping. It's that whole teenage aches, but now, okay, you're the prince of the kingdom. Technically, you're the king. Now what? Because you need a you know, circle the troops, and like you said, everybody needs to start donning gold, and you need to work on that quick.
SPEAKER_02And I've and the other thing that I would say, because like once again, like for me, like the match was the match was fine. It was it was entertaining, but there was like there wasn't initially there wasn't anything really going for me when it came to this match.
SPEAKER_01Story-wise.
SPEAKER_02Story-wise. But then after the match, there's a lot of story going on. But then I'm like, why couldn't we have some story for the match in the champion uh going into it? Because like, once again, he's been just kind of like he's just been holding the belts. That's all he's been doing. But now, coming out of this match, now we got everything going on with uh uh uh uh Newman and and Osprey now, and and now Osprey is asking if he can get the the the squad to help when in in AEW with shit, and then there's also the fact that Osprey with that team is realizing, oh, they're kind of doing things a little different around these parts kind of thing.
SPEAKER_03But that's my whole thing, it's not different. He has amnesia all of a sudden, it's not different. He taught them how to act like this. This ain't brand new, so why are you acting like this brand new now?
SPEAKER_02But it's like, yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_01He's a baby facing a group of heels.
SPEAKER_02Yes, he's trying to, and I guess he's like, I guess when that happened, it was more so him like, hey, you know, we don't have to do that, right? He's like, nah, we do this shit. We do that shit.
SPEAKER_03You created this group off of stabbing people in the back. So they still stabbing people in the back.
SPEAKER_01Like, shit ain't changed over here. The fuck you mean?
SPEAKER_03And now you expect him to come help you with the deaf riders, thinking they're not gonna just keep stabbing people in the back.
SPEAKER_01Which is funny because one of the death riders, well, no, he's not deaf riders, he was in the deaf riders, but now he's in the dogs. Um, which was Gabe Kidd coming out there with the shisty hit, the power driver, the Yoto Suji, smacking him with the global heavyweight champion, and next thing you know, he pulls out the AEW shirt, which the only reason why this is gonna be a story is because Yoto Suji has said it publicly, he doesn't like partnering with AEW. He does not like it. He feels the partnership makes no sense. New Japan does not need help. New Japan is great where it is, and I feel like that's probably gonna be the base of the storyline between him and Gabe Ken, even though they were in the tag league together. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02It should be though. That's gonna add as well to the fact that y'all used to be friends, y'all used to be partners, and you both also used to be in New Japan.
SPEAKER_03Right. And you both also used to say fuck AEW.
SPEAKER_02And now he's one of them who used to say fuck AEW is now uh I'm letting AEW fuck, you know, cause cause cause cause now because he plus I get to be in the States and enjoy cheeseburgers.
SPEAKER_01What yo, and yo, look, Tajiri said it himself he loves being in America because he loves Whoppers from Burger King.
SPEAKER_03They they do stuff different, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's a lot more clean in Japan, that's why it's not as greasy.
SPEAKER_02But which is a crazy thing, it's like not I want that nasty greasy shit. Give me that.
SPEAKER_01Give me that sweet that nasty that good stuff. Now that's a classic. That is a classic. But overall, this pay-per-view, you can watch it, you can honestly not at the end.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna recommend just the last three matches, honestly.
SPEAKER_02Pretty much Takeshka forward. Like, it's funny because it's like it it's it's on to me, it's like one step above mid. Specifically from that forward.
SPEAKER_01But I mean it's a pay-per-view, and that's wrestling right now. Wrestling is very tough to watch, and you know, try to consume it. And again, as we come in here next week to talk about uh predictions for WrestleMania. Uh Ray, I don't know if you want to join us again, but you're more than welcome to, because again, at this point, you have uh you have access to the fridge.
SPEAKER_03At this point, we're gonna have to roll some dice on these predictions because I don't know where we're gonna. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01How about this, man? For every one you get wrong, you get a chop.
SPEAKER_03I could bring rainbows in for that?
SPEAKER_02For who?
SPEAKER_03Raymos.
SPEAKER_02Oh shit. We'll show you a photo of what Raymos is. R I P the DMT's chest. I wonder if he still feels anything.
SPEAKER_01Was it worse than uh Daniel Bryan's taco meat chest?
SPEAKER_03I think the uh social media guy chop was, but he chopped him in the back.
SPEAKER_02Let me put it this way where Daniel Bryan, he got chopped in the chest many times. DMT did not get hit as many times in the chest, but the times that he did, if he would have he would have been like his chest will listen. Damn.
SPEAKER_03You know, a part of that is could be they pale, but like and that is one chop.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, I'm definitely not taking away those shits. But uh guys, let us know what you in the comments what you thought about uh Sakura Genesis and also what do you think about the current state of WWE and just wrestling in general. The reason why we ain't talk about AEW, by the way, is because everybody's saying AEW is red hot right now. Uh, we'll be back here as always. The the ring is sacred, the questions are always real, and the destruction is guaranteed. So from the Masaku. And it's your boy Swag Switcher. And the Champagne Don Ray Zion. And we'll be back here next time. Until next time, guys, have a good one.
