Whole lot of rays on the roof. I mean, it's just more so I don't want it to cut off your head. Oh, okay, yeah. There's a there's about like a about an inch there's about an inch. Okay. That's all above my head. Oh my goodness. Well I need you.
SPEAKER_02Young raincy.
SPEAKER_00What's up? Oh.
SPEAKER_02You need light on the side.
SPEAKER_00You hear me?
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to open my stuff so I don't open it on one of it while you guys are further.
unknownNo, I'm helping you. Now you're cool. Here you go. Yep.
SPEAKER_01So that way you don't have to dig your hands in it, it's just all available to you.
SPEAKER_03Perfect. You just want me to be quiet.
SPEAKER_01No, that's this is literally it's like having your own little bowl. So you could actually do nachos with this. So like some people.
SPEAKER_02I used to do that for my dad's French fries. Like when we go to Five Guys, we would just dump it in the bag. Yeah. And I would tear it a little bit so I could easily roll it over.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, so that way, because if you need to uh enclose it again, you could just and then fold it and it's boom, it's there. So yeah.
unknownI love it. Okay. So back on quiet.
SPEAKER_00Like when you called me today, I was like, like literally, I was like getting dressed. I'm like, wait a second, I look at the time. My phone must be on silent because he probably would have called by now. Sure shit.
SPEAKER_01Alright. I just want to make sure the mic was in the middle. Got it. Cool, cool. Yeah. Alright. So, three, two, one.
Welcome And Week In Wrestling
SPEAKER_01Welcome to another episode of the Big Brothers of Destruction podcast. Sugoy, it's the Masuku.
SPEAKER_00And it's your boy, Swazwitch in the building.
SPEAKER_01And we are here with a very interesting week of wrestling that has happened. I mean, there has been a lot of crazy stuff, but I definitely wanted to talk about some recent events, which is the Mask versus Mask. Really, really great content. I'm trying to sit show it to my girls later on this week because that was cinema, pure cinema. The recent state of uh New Japan, they have recently been sold by a um distributor company and kind of almost like their own TKO. So they're getting ready to get the TKO treatment potentially. Oh boy. And then we have recently what AEW was going on. AEW has some interesting stuff as well. And then the current state of WWE and especially how they have essentially cut off Jacob Fatou's nuts, is everybody saying. They say they have neutralized him.
SPEAKER_00They have neutered the werewolf. That's such a horrible way of putting it. It's it's but I mean like with him bowing and then like it. I get the I I I get it. Cause like that that particular optic is kind of there. Yeah. So like I but yeah, nah, let's uh let's get into it. I'm I am absolutely letting you take lead on this.
Wrestling Fatigue And Raw Takeaways
SPEAKER_00I was like, man, I was sitting here thinking about like what's been going on in wrestling recently. I'm like, man, I'm I don't got nothing. Like it's it's I and I think more it I it's I think in broad strokes right now, wrestling is like it's rough.
SPEAKER_01It's dead season right now.
SPEAKER_00It's yeah, it is, and I think I think I'm feeling it. Because at first I'm like, I don't think, because I like wrestling way too much to get wrestling fatigue. But it's like when I try to think about like the like for instance, when I watched Monday Night Raw, like I tested myself. I I gave Monday Night Raw my undivided attention. I watched it and I was like, alright. I went to s I slept on it and I woke up and like after I got myself all dressed up and everything, I was like, alright, what happened on Raw? Jacob Fatou bowed to Roman Reigns. And they're leaning into the Maxine Dupree thing with uh with with this with vision. At this point, the vision is injury, alright?
SPEAKER_01That is the vision. The vision that Seth Rollins had is you guys will all be injured if you are in my team. If you're in my faction, you are getting injured. That is the true thing.
SPEAKER_00And the funny thing was, like, at that time, those were the only two things that like really stuck out to me as like I I would say, like, you know, particular anomalies that happened. Cause and the only reason why the thing with um Maxine Dupree really stuck out to me was the fact that like it hasn't been directly it had not been up until this point been directly spoken upon. Cause it's always just been like small quips of just like it's her backstage talking to Austin Theory. It's her in the car with Austin Theory. And you only like just like these real quick glimpses, like, is that Maxine Dupree?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, uh, was it WrestleMania? Is that Maxine Dupree? WrestleMania pointed out too, like, they're talking about secretly doing this story where she has a love interest in either Theory or Paul, but I obviously it's gonna be Theory now because Paul's injured.
SPEAKER_00And it wouldn't, I don't it also I wouldn't think Damn, Paul is injured.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Because I was about to say, like, it wouldn't make sense for for Logan Paul, especially since like because I know they because because of the way Kayfabe is right now, I don't think that like Logan Paul has made it such a big deal about his wife and his his kid and stuff.
SPEAKER_01But I feel like at the same time, if he's well, he is not a person who has grown into the business, he is becoming a person of his like I I here's the issue too. You
Logan Paul And Creator Backlash
SPEAKER_01know, when we talk about somebody like Logan Paul, a social media influencer, when BDE did it, it was not a fucking issue at all. Nobody questioned him as a wrestler, nobody questioned him as as legitimate as a wrestler, it was just he's a wrestler. BDE, content creator, no fucking problem. But what Logan was, it's like Logan can never be one of us, he doesn't respect the business, but BDE, not a fucking issue, and I feel like it's just because of Logan Paul's history, people just didn't want him in the space.
SPEAKER_00Well, yes, that's most that is 100% the bit. Yeah, but I will also say uh because BDE, he's the one that's on TNA, right? Yeah, he's on T DNA. So him specifically though, he has an ever so slightly small leg in because though he was a person who did streaming content, he played wrestling content. It was a wrest it was a wrestling content.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so where Logan Paul, you know, it's I actually never knew what his content was.
SPEAKER_01He did a lot of pranks and he did a lot of uh risque content, he did a lot of controversial content. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00So then that that's probably why.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know he did he did pranks and he did, yeah, he did pranks. And you know, the thing about it is especially with somebody like um like i show speed, he started wrestling, nobody had well here's the thing. I think with i Show Speed that might have been just a one-time issue, and now Little Yachty's in the ring. Little Yachty is also uh bumping and and starting to get his training in too. So, you know, he had an issue where he was on social media like, yo, I'm just a person following my dream. Like, don't knock me for that. And naturally, we as humans should not be upset about somebody who has an opportunity, whether if you are gonna continue on in the business or not, but if any of us got a chance to be in a WWE ring, would you want people criticizing you? No. So I just feel like it's like, dude, these are people who are pursuing their dreams, whether if it's Logan Paul, whether if it's I show speed, whether if it's BDE, whether if it's Lil' Yachty, if you had a chance to to bump in the ring with somebody like a Seth Rollins or something like that, you would jump ship at that. You're not gonna be, though I respect the business, I wouldn't do that. Fuck out of here. You would definitely in a fucking heartbeat do that.
SPEAKER_00Easily. Which, and I think it's one of those things where like uh the the wrestling community is just to be the wrestling community.
SPEAKER_01Toxic. It's it's it's almost like you're gatekeeping something that, yes, okay, if you went through the ropes and you grew up in wrestling, of course, we're gonna accept you, right? But as yes, you you you do have the argument that BDE does make wrestling content. So yes, it was a lot easier for him to maneuver in it because he makes content on the games. But iShow Speed doesn't, to my knowledge, and neither does um either.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, actually, you know, it's funny. I actually have no I've never watched any of these content creators. And so it's like I actually I don't know what I I don't know what iShow Speed does.
SPEAKER_01I ShowSpeed is also a prankster, but not much. He he makes more meme content, so like a lot of his facial expressions and stuff like that c combinates to future memes. So like you've probably seen those videos where they look like and like you'll see like i show speed face, like uh like shit like that. Like iShow Speed used to really rage on camera, and he would just destroy stuff. He'll be like, Oh, I lost this game, fuck, and he'd just flip a fucking table, and that at the time was funny content, and it got him a lot of views, and then he would say sus shit on the internet, and you know, I you know basically now that I recently saw.
SPEAKER_00Like, there was something I was looking at, and like he did something. Like I can't I don't quite remember what it was, because it was like, well, it was like you're s I'm scrolling, and I scroll past it, and I see like he said some like honestly, he said some real off-the-wall, like, like yikes. That was like literally like like I heard like run it back.
SPEAKER_01The fuck is his name? Run it back. Alright, whatever. Run it back. What'd you say? Pause. No pause. Resume. Listen. Resume. Resume. Alright, bro. Hey, hey.
SPEAKER_00Whoever you into, ISO, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01It is that much. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Um look, uh see, y'all can't I can't get no, I can't get no hate. As a queer man, I can't get no hate. Anyway, so uh going back into it, but like, I guess you could say this is the conversation itself.
Who Earns A Spot In Wrestling
SPEAKER_01What is acceptable for a person to be like, man, I want to get into the business. Granted, I've not been through the independent circuit or anything of that nature. When is it okay for someone to pursue their dream of being in a WrestleMania match? I mean, shit, what was that one kid who got that WrestleMania match with uh uh uh Braun Strowman and got to be tag team champions? Everybody love that motherfucker because it was a kid, yes. But like, that could be anybody. If anybody had an opportunity to get in the ring, would you not be okay with that? Because it's a person getting a chance to follow their dream and and be in a WrestleMania match. Ask yourself that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, it it it's a thing, because like even as a podcaster myself, like if for whatever random ass reason that I was allowed to do something in a WWE ring, like hell yeah.
SPEAKER_01Any ring, honestly, if it's a ring of honor or I'll get up and shit. I'll take a bump. Boo me out the building if you want to. I'm here and you're not. I'm doing I'll do some Dan Housing shit. Like, yo, so Dan Housing, like, pop me up and I'm wearing the mask. I don't give a damn. I get to be a part of something that I've enjoyed all my life as a kid. How can we be upset about that? How can we be mad about anything?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't think I've uh I don't think I've uh I've never understood why people get so mad about those things. Because like even with like your normal celebrities, like when they have like celebrity appearances and stuff like that, it's like the the crowd just automatically boos them. Like they they will boo them all the way out of the building, which I feel at this point is just like because like when you think when I try to think about I'm like, alright, do they know why they're booing them? So because they're gonna go see that movie. Like, I know half I know more than half of the people in that arena are going to go see the movie or watch the TV show that that person who is currently in the ring is being booed out for.
SPEAKER_01So I feel like a part of it is also the fact that as wrestling fans, wrestling is its own entity.
Ads And The Business Taking Over
SPEAKER_01So when you start adding product placement and things of that nature, it takes away the the f the the facade that is wrestling, right? Now, but granted, the whole thing about wrestling guys, you gotta remember it's a fucking business. It is a business at the end of the day. These guys gotta eat, they're putting their bodies in the ring every day. And if an advertisement helps them eat more, like you gotta respect it. I'm not a fan of all the fucking ads on the ring. I mean, granted, I'm used to New Japan rings and they got ads all over that bitch. Okay? And it's perfectly fine there. But when when you've gone to a situation where in the 90s, celebrity influence, outside influence, ads, and stuff like that were not super present. Ads would be like SmackDown Rewind, you know, like the the stacker two, the fat burner, you know, rewind of the day. We get that, and that's it. That's all you would see is an ad, right? It was coming back from a commercial, you see that, it's the ad, it's done, right? You might see uh The Rock doing a Chef Boy RD commercial, you might see Mankind doing a Chef Boy RD commercial, but that was it. You did not see it in the fucking product, right? And if a celebrity did show up, it was for a very brief moment and you didn't see him again. Like Drew Carey, he got what two Royal Rumble appearances? And it was funny as fuck because he had that whole dynamic with Kane going on, and Kane has always had a dynamic with somebody in a in a Royal Rumble match. Was the was it Pete Davis? Not Pete Davis, um Pete Rose, yeah. Him and his two his three WrestleMania in a row get to Tombstone. We had no problem, it was tradition at one point, okay? So it's back in the day, it was very small segments and moments, but now with the modern era and social media and influencers, you know, we gotta always see somebody in the audience. Which also I thought about this. Little Yachty has been in a lot of fucking wrestling shows, okay? I don't know if you realize that, but he's been in the audience for a lot of wrestling shows. But still, he don't get that credit that he would get in those situations.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he has been. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01So I find it interesting that uh in in a situation where wrestling fans we have shown to be even the Migos. When the Migos came in there and like clothes, what was it, uh, offset, clothesline, um, whatchamacallit? It's a small segment, he's technically not in the ring. I just feel like we gatekeep a situation so much, we make it difficult for um say if a person like a BDE or somebody else is saying, Man, I actually want to get into that lane, but I can't now because the IWC is gonna fucking eat me alive.
SPEAKER_00You know, I don't want to, you know, I it it's one of those things where like with it happening, and I think it's I think it has a lot to do with um or at least currently, because like I when I think back on like back in the past when it would happen, I think there was always just that idea of especially with a lot of people like that you would see in the past, right? These were people who like you would see them, and it's like prior to this moment of them showing up on TV, there's been no showing in their you know, screen presence or whatever they do outside. So, like, for instance, if we take Drew Carey, right? Like, when you see Drew Carey's, like the Drew Carey show, or his Whose Line Is It Anyway, or any of the things that he does when he talks in interviews, he never brings up wrestling, or he doesn't talk about it like as if he's a fan.
SPEAKER_01But they do have those moments where wrestlers do go on shows. Remember, Malcolm in the middle had Bret Hart and everything. But that's not what I I mean.
SPEAKER_00So, yes, but what I'm saying, not so much.
SPEAKER_01I do hate when they do that shit, by the way. I fucking hate it. I really hate it. Why? Because it's like just like how they hate that. It's just like, okay, what is the thing that this wrestler is doing outside of coming in here doing the raw bottom or doing the Stone Cold start or something like that? Like, I would rather them come as legit actors in a situation rather than, oh, it's Stone Cold Steve Austin in this episode.
SPEAKER_00Like, uh, but see, so it sounds like we're on the That's what I'm saying. I'm out here calling the pop black. No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. That's what I was used to do when I was a kid. When I was a kid, right? So when I was a kid, I used to hate seeing that because it was like it was the clash for me. But then as I got more evolved into the business, I understand that at the end of the day, a lot of people get into the business, one, for the pure sport of wrestling, but to two, be able to do what a John Cena, a Roman Reigns, a Rock does, and expand on the fact that I am a superstar and not a wrestler.
SPEAKER_00Well, so once I got that, you answered the question then. Because like, at first I was like, I was about to say the fact, like, I don't understand why there's been that bit, but now you just made it very clear with making that statement. The reason why wrestling fans hate it when people who are like from a show or movie stars come into wrestling is it's it's that whole idea of the fact of it's it's literally just a you don't belong. There is these wrestling people, this it's almost like it's gatekeeping. No, it's not gatekeeping.
SPEAKER_01No, it's like because when gatekeeping is saying like just before like okay, if you come in, you don't belong. So we're trying to keep you from coming in here. And so when they're remember when The Rock went to Hollywood, people were mad that The Rock went to Hollywood because you're you're a wrestler, you're supposed to be here, and I think wrestling fans don't realize that their bodies aren't meant to do this for a very fucking long time. But we want to see them break down. Like, look at Ric Flair. Ric Flair never took an opportunity outside of just wrestling to do something else, and you see how he's still trying to fucking wrestle, but you're like, man, Rick, stop, but he can't. He has so much fucking bills, he has no choice but to take bookings.
SPEAKER_00But I think with the I mean, I I guess if that's what the word gatekeeping is, then it's just that it's because it's that whole for me, it's just that whole idea of like uh Hollywood and you know, movie stars, rappers, all that stuff, they have their space that they're just that that that's their domain. Yeah, it's their domain. Domain experience. It's like with how you were saying, like, you know, if you're watching Wednesday, and then fucking Bray Wyatt just shows up on there, you're all like, ew, why is Bray Wyatt here? kind of thing. This is not his domain of place where he should be. He shouldn't be here doing Bray Wyatt stuff on Wednesday. But on the flip side, for for you know, for wrestling fans, if Wednesday showed up on Raw, you know, it's like, ew, why is Wednesday in my wrestling? She's not a wrestler, she doesn't, she's not supposed to be here, kind of thing. It's one of those things, but like the the piece that I was about to that I was trying to link to all of this is the fact, like, you know, when these kind of things happen, right? It's like uh, for instance, like with Logan Paul, right? Prior to Logan Paul just showing up in wrestling, what wrestling shit had he ever talked about? To my knowledge, none. When have you ever seen Logan Paul in a in a Stone Cold Steve Austin t-shirt? You know what I'm saying? I've only seen the Pokemon shit, honestly. Yeah, and so it's like when you look at a lot of these celebrities, it's like to us, they are outsiders just trying to come in and get a paycheck, but they're not actual wrestling fans.
SPEAKER_01See, I felt that way with Snooky, because I was like, what the fuck is Snookie doing here? When Cardi B was here? What the fuck is Cardi B doing here? Sexy Red has earned my respect. Okay. She she is a fucking fan. So her going in there and doing and I think that's another thing with wrestling.
SPEAKER_00That's the point that I'm making is the fact that like most of the times whenever you see like these celebrities who come in and stuff like that, the reason why they get so much flack is because it's like you're just here to get a payday and try and siphon some fans. Remember this? Who the fuck are you? That's literally what it is. Like Yeah, because yeah, it's like it's like it's the whole, it's like the it's the whole cash grab mentality. Yeah, like, you know, um, like I'm like I'm trying to think of someone who is like like you would look at them and you're like, you've done nothing to show that you're a wrestler. Kill Tony.
SPEAKER_01Sure. Who does that? Kill Tony is the the comp the comedy show that happens on Netflix. Remember they did Kill Tony uh Mania? But see, so But he never showed beforehand because all you saw was his content. So there was no resemblance of him being a wrestling fan until all of a sudden he showed up at a wrestling show and now we have Kill Tony Mania.
SPEAKER_00So, I mean, I guess that's a that's a that will work because of the fact, like, granted, I because I don't know him very well, yeah, like I I was gonna say like someone really obscure, like Shakira or something like that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, that's that's wild. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00If Shakira just showed up on on Raw and you know, you know how they used to have like they like she and she doesn't know. She's the wrong general managers yet? Not even that. Like she just I mean, that would be one from way back when, but like if she just showed up on Raw and you know, and she comes into the ring and she just starts talking about talking to the fans, kind of thing. Because usually whenever someone shows up, like that. That means they're promoting something, kind of thing. So she's she comes up on Ron, she's trying to promote her new album, kind of thing, right? That's like Shakira, why are you here? Do you even know what wrestling is? Do you watch? Who's your favorite wrestler? What happened in WrestleMania 2?
SPEAKER_01You know, I think a part of that is too because as wrestling fans, we get so much flack for enjoying wrestling. So when anybody else is like, when we get people that say, Oh, wrestling's fake, why do you enjoy that shit? Well, like, why do you enjoy movies? Why do you enjoy cartoons? All that shit is fake. So to have somebody that might have the ideology that wrestling is fake and yes, try to come in and advertise to a demographic of people who to you is like, why the fuck are you even watching this? This shit's stupid. Um, I can see that being a reason why, but like, and I think I I I believe that was what it used to be.
SPEAKER_00Nowadays, it's a little harder for me to tell. It's just like they don't want anybody. But I also think it that has a lot to do with the current landscape that is wrestling right now. The landscape of wrestling is so it's so based on like I like wrestling is a business. Wrestling has always been about making money. But at the same time, the wrestling, the the business in wrestling has been taking over what wrestling is. And so with the advertisements and everything, and like the constantly showing off these different people who are in the crowds, because for all intents and purposes, those are the only people who can afford to go to wrestling shows right now, are the rich and famous. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01And it's like I feel like a part of it does come boil down to a couple of things, is that yes, as wrestling fans, we we all know so much because of the dirt sheets and this, this, and that. But these guys, these guys gotta get TV deals, these guys gotta get merchandise sales, they got these guys gotta get a lot of things to be able to spend the money to one do these production shows, one to even get these particular talents. I mean, shit, Roman Reigns' contract, I know it's insane. So, like, they gotta do things like advertisement, they gotta do things that like at the end of the day, this is a business, and this is why there's so much variety in wrestling to where if you don't care about the business, cool, go watch AEW.
Where To Find Pure Wrestling
SPEAKER_01Okay? If you want to watch wrestling, go watch AEW. Don't go to WWE and expect wrestling when that is a fucking business. Okay, you want wrestling? I want to say TNA.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, if you're wanting I wanna say TNA, granted, though I don't watch it, I feel like if you're wanting to get your pure, just uh unadulterated like wrestling feelings in without WWE without worrying about like the corporate aspect of it all. Because like GCW. Uh I was gonna say NWA. That too, but I'm just I feel like in NWA to me feels like the absolute least corporate wrestling that is of a big brand name that currently exists. Like, because like like I feel like like NWA out of like all the wrestling companies, like NWA is the only wrestling company that still feels like they're a territory.
SPEAKER_01True. I mean, a big reason is why it's it's very hard for them to get a TV deal, so they kind of like have to just hope that you know wrestling fans still enjoy NWA. Like, I don't know what their audience looks like. I just know, like, yeah, it's it's really difficult to say with NWA because I don't really watch the product anymore. And once Nick Aldous uh When did you watch? When Nick Aldous was there. And when I used to watch when Pope was well, Pope is still there, but I used to watch for Pope. I used to watch when Eli Drake was there, and then also when um who he's not Damian Sandow. Now he's uh Aeris Spears, something like that. Something Spears. But when he was once I knew like a lot of the people from TNA were going to NWA and a lot of the people from um we used to know in WWE were there too, I was like, every once in a blue moon, I'll pop in there. I mean, I even saw when uh Jim Cornette said the the the the well I say races, but they were very controversial com comments uh for Trevor Mardock about him eating the fried chicken and all that stuff, and then he got off the air because of that. Uh they yeah, they kicked him off the air. He could he can't go back over there no more. So I've I've I've been there, but it's like with NWA, there was nothing like, hey, I need to tell you about this, so you need to go watch the match. It was just like, oh, uh Eli Drake is there, cool. Nick Alzheimer's is there, cool. Like, all like just seeing those talents is great to see him, but nothing was noteworthy to talk about.
SPEAKER_00And I it's funny because like NWA is like the way just from the outside looking in, from what I've seen with NWA, it's like NWA had uh it feels like NWA moves like how WWE should move when it comes to like the I would say kind of like with the production style of their show, like with their back with the backstage stuff kind of thing and whatnot. But they're running with a a uh uh uh a s a uh they're they're they're in that same boat that what I would say uh TNA is in, where it's like they have decent people that are there, but nobody there is a star. And the wrestling that they do there, to me, is very WWE based, where you know it's not a whole lot of super big spots like how at least TNA still does, because they got a lot of high flying and flips, you know. Like NWA, they're not really into the flippy shit. So it's like when you take away flippy shit, and then you just kind of have like your very base run in the middle, WWE style wrestling.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna hate to say this like attitude error, because they didn't have a lot of flippy shit there to either.
SPEAKER_00Actually, yeah, that's a good way to put it.
SPEAKER_01But that's how I know hate people are hate to have bring that into conversation, but like that that's your like either whether it's the Federation year, the attitude era, I mean a little bit of ruthless aggression, but like that's when the flippy shit started a little bit.
SPEAKER_00But that does but that but that's true though. But the thing that made those eras better is because they had stars.
SPEAKER_01And they also have variety too.
SPEAKER_00They had stars, and yeah, they did have a lot of people who didn't look like each other. And did do the same moveset, like everybody did super kicks nowadays. And so it's like NWA, you know, they still fight like the golden era in, I would say, like early mid-attitude era wrestling. So there's not a whole lot of flippy stuff going on, but it's like they're doing that with people who kind of look the same and aren't famous stars like anybody. So which is the reason why they probably they're not on TV because they don't have anyone who is like a super important name doing something big.
SPEAKER_01Because somebody else is gonna snag them in the hot minute if they start getting nor eye. So like it it's it's kind of difficult because again, as it being a business, you want to keep talent, but you don't want talent to I want to say leave. You you would hope the best for them, but it it's it's kind of like a little bit of a monopoly situation. It's always we you know, we've always seen it as that.
SPEAKER_00But but overall, but no, that also is that that is also a big thing. That's probably the reason why they don't have any stars, because big stars, you gotta pay for them. And NWA is like unfortunately bottom of the barrel when it comes to paying for stars, especially because like when you look at the landscape, you know, all of the bigger companies are also in the pockets of other slightly bigger companies. So AEW has New Japan. Well, do they have CMML and the other thing? Do they still I mean are they still link with New Japan?
SPEAKER_01So that's actually a great question. We can kind of segue into this. So
New Japan Sale And Fallout
SPEAKER_01with New Japan, uh New Japan has been bought by I forgot what the company is called, but it starts with an A, and it's pretty much like a TKO situation where this company has bought out every other company but stardom. Stardom is the only one that they have bought yet.
SPEAKER_00Wait, is that why when the new with the Forbidden Door showing up? It because I've that maybe I didn't know. You talk about Tecla spitting on Stardom? I mean, that's part of it, but like, so like with Forbidden Door showing up, the Forbidden Door is for uh CMML CMLL. Stardom, New Japan. So it is still New Japan included? Okay, so to my knowledge. Okay, because I was like, because I I didn't remember seeing New Japan on that list.
SPEAKER_01Well, the the reason for Forbidden Door was for AEW and New Japan to get together. Like CMML and Stardom came in later on, but the original concept was AEW and New Japan. Which that I know, but I wasn't sure if it was because of the it may have, because I mean I haven't seen the logo recently. I didn't see any updates on it when I was watching uh um Dynamite. But uh, but yes, New Japan has been bought out. So literally, this company has bought every other Japanese wrestling promotion besides stardom. And so once they do get that, I feel like again, it becomes a TKO situation because we don't know what they're gonna be okay with, what they're not okay with, but it's unfortunate that the reason why New Japan had to do it is for the financial reasons. They have not had a star, they have not been doing the best financially in those situations. So just as everybody else, you're kind of like, well, if we want to keep this ball rolling, we kind of got to give up to the time to get somebody to help us out. Yeah, so they got that. So uh I wonder how much of the product is going to change as they finalize that deal.
SPEAKER_00Could you imagine? Because the fact that they're whoever this company is, whatever their name is, they're going around buying all of these uh uh other Japanese promotions kind of thing. Imagine if they say, like, alright, now just combine them, make a super Japan wrestling man.
SPEAKER_01Like, like and and the thing about that is that they do that, the only so the thing about uh Japanese wrestling back in the day, they used to do a lot of collaborative uh promo um big events. So a lot of times AGW AJW and New Japan would do a collaborative event. Joshi Wrestling did a lot of collaborative events, like they would do specific pay-per-views where it was their biggest talents going against each other. So I feel like in situations where if you fuse them together, here is the issue. Unless it's one promotion itself, then now you have to circulate, okay, we have all the best talents of every promotion. We only can have so many wrestlers on screen at a time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So then you end up becoming a WWE situation where now we have to make a uh uh main event, we have to make superstars, we have to do all this so that way these other people can get paid and they can eat too.
SPEAKER_00Um which is exact that's what I'm saying. Which is exact is exactly at least that's what it sounds like to me. It sounds like somebody has decided to be Vince McMahon, and they're like, hey, you know like all these territories. However, they're they're doing it like a step further because Vince McMahon, he didn't go out and he bought all the territories. He just went out Well, no, he he he well.
SPEAKER_01He bought their best talent, which yeah, he suffocated he suffocated. He choked them.
SPEAKER_00It was like, hey, uh uh Bagger with a face. I know uh y'all look good over there, but uh hey junkyard dog, what if I give you this fat ass stat? Alright, he's in. Cool. Oh, he was y'all's biggest draw? He's my mid-carter now. God damn it, bro.
SPEAKER_01That is that hurts. And that's the thing about the business, and that's why I say in certain situations, what do you feel like it's better to do? Are you willing to be a top talent in a promotion and being a champion? Or are you willing to be a mid-card talent and every once in a blue moon, you might have interactions with R-Truth?
SPEAKER_00How big is that change? Bro, that is a question that is that has been on my mind for like the last couple of months. I've actually been meaning to ask it to.
SPEAKER_01We're talking about it with Athena, because remember we were saying that with Athena, where Athena could be technically going back to WWE, but she's choosing to be the longest reigning women's champion in ROH.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yeah, that we that did we that did come up. Because it's like that whole thought process is like you could go to NWA and be their top draw, their heavyweight champion, and be their face of the company on a show that unless you watch it on YouTube, no one's gonna fucking know. Or you can go to WWE, get a dumbass gimmick, put that check, but get paid, and are at least on TV.
SPEAKER_01It's basically the equivalent of are you getting paid $50,000 a year? Or $300,000 a year?
unknownMath.
SPEAKER_00Like it's uh it's a very interesting dynamic. I actually I need to ask some of the wrestlers that question.
SPEAKER_01Like, what I mean we can start doing that whenever we have other people. We have uh uh the influence and uh also JC Black coming in here in the future, so we could even ask him that question. If not them, we could just start making it a thing with every other talent.
SPEAKER_00It's something I'm gonna put out there. Only because like it's because these these are things that I just like I wonder what what these wrestlers would think or would say on it.
SPEAKER_01Well, I just thought about this. We might have to do this on off cam because we don't want to say what how much they're getting booked for, and it can also hurt their own offerings if they're booked.
SPEAKER_00It's not even it's not even knowing how much they're getting. It's more so if the if if two if two offers was thrown on the table, all right.
SPEAKER_01Well, but that's funny because we did that with Elias. We he said, yo, I'll go anywhere, I'll go to RA's, I go to New Japan or whatever.
SPEAKER_00So but but that's but not so much of like which place you would go. It's not even the name of the company per se. It's just it's the situation. It's the situation of would you rather be added, would you rather go to a company that is kinda no name, but you can be made the face of that company? Or would you go to a big company that's got a lot of established main stars, get paid a little more, but you're like essentially like a mid-car jobber.
SPEAKER_01I mean shit. We could look at the dogs, we could look at the rascals, we could look at uh was it Mike Davis? Yes. We could look at all them people that left TNA to say, yo, we're going to AEW. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, they that And they ain't doing shit. Barely. Oh, I think the oh you're actually talking about Doyle. That's yeah, Doyle, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Doyle. Doyle. Jake Doyle. Yeah. Jake Doyle. Jake Dongo Doyle. That's funny, because I'm pretty certain he's like full on American. Like he's like he's I think he's uh Aussie in him at all.
SPEAKER_01I think he might be Canadian if he's Canadian at best. But uh I mean we personally don't know. He might have some dissent, you know. Anything. But uh that is going on currently with New Japan and how it's affecting those people. So uh guys, let us know in your com in the comments how do you think that's going to affect.
SPEAKER_00I want a super I want a new I want a super New Japan TV show. Just you take all of those companies, put them together, and now because now if because you you take all the head stars of that company, drop off your dead weight, unfortunately, and then boom, you got yourself the WWE of New Japan.
SPEAKER_01The issue is because like a lot of people have left New Japan to go to like um Noah and shit like that. So if you put them all together, it's gonna be like, I just left this motherfucker.
SPEAKER_00And then you go back in the office like Nido, ace Tadahashi, Tadashi son. No, I there's a part of that that almost feels like it would suck. It's all like, man, I tried so hard to get away from you. Yes. And I'm right back in front of you again. Yes, literally. Oh man, dude. That's hilarious. Yes. To think about I guess I'll have to I gotta lock in and see how that's gonna end up turning out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we I do need to lock in too. I mean, going into next week, I do have a uh my my schedule has been a little bit difficult for the last two weeks to be able to do certain things, but we get back at it. But again, guys, let us know in the comments how do you feel about New Japan uh being bought out by this company? Do you feel like it's gonna affect the product if you're currently watching the product? And also, how do you feel about anybody going into the business who is not originally a wrestling background? It could be a content creator or anything of that source. How are you guys feeling about seeing those kind of people in your product as well?
Mask Vs Mask Match Breakdown
SPEAKER_01But as we go into that, uh, we could definitely talk about this mask versus mask match, man. Ugh. Do you know that bitch is an hour long? That's a fucking movie. Yes, I I sat through it. Yeah? I watched that, I watched that shit at four in the morning. Why? Because I didn't know it was going on that day, and then I just saw on social media the Chad Gable spot, right? Him taking off the mask. I said, oh fuck no. It's I was up already mad late, and as I'm heading to bed, I'm watching it in the bed. I could watch it the next day, but nah, nigga, I gotta see this right now. That's that was me. So I watched it four in the morning, and then I watched it again the next day. I had to watch two times because that shit was crazy.
SPEAKER_00No, you actually watched it twice.
SPEAKER_01Hell yeah, nigga, I'm about to watch it the three third time when I showed it to my um my girls. Wow. So he was really for this match, huh? Bro, the storytelling behind it is it's really interesting as a wrestling fan to say, man, a German is playing a Mexican who is American. Or at least portraying American. Fucking insane. And and it's it's the I won't say the irony, it's the the interesting aspect of him also learning the fucking language.
SPEAKER_00Now that's the part that actually gets me. Now I don't know if he learned Oh no, he learned it. So he so it is confirmed that he actually went out of his way to learn the speaks band. Yes. Wow.
SPEAKER_01That's why the that's why the culture embraces him more, is that he's not just playing a character, he speaks our language, he's been in our community, he's dating one of our women, so then he's one of us at this point. And he also, and this it's the other reason why when you watch the match, like he was already a big commodity in uh Triple A. But then when they found out that he fucked somebody up because they was gonna report his girlfriend to ice and he was and he represented by all of them. He he can do no wrong.
SPEAKER_00Plus, like Ludwig has put himself in a position. Nigga, he's Mexican. He's in the cookout now. That's it. I mean, honestly, because like you have you you've seen the picture where he goes to Mexico and he sees like the mural that was made of him. Yes. Like, it is I can only imagine how he feels. Like, I would love to ask him.
SPEAKER_01He has no reason to leave Mexico.
SPEAKER_00Honestly. No, no, no, he is He's a May Man. Which by proxy also made Tyler Baden, uh, what's his name? Pretty much made men as well, because they're part they're part of his crew now. Yes. Kind of thing. It's it's so crazy, because like, what was it? I literally was talking to our our homie that also works in WWE, and he was all like, he literally said, like, just to confirm for everyone, they had no idea this was going to be as big as it was either.
SPEAKER_01Like, and that's the thing about wrestling. None of us know, but you gotta take a gamble. That's the whole point, is to take a gamble.
SPEAKER_00Like, this this goofy joke gimmick went from a ju uh went from a goofy joke gimmick to a full-on high stakes rivalry that became more than just a joke. It became serious. The Mexican people took off with this whole thing. And I remember while I'm sitting there watching, and like the reactions that they're getting, like you would have thought that was WrestleMania. Exactly. You would have thought that. They could have, like, with the way that this match had been set up, you know, if they had a Madison Square garden-sized arena in Mexico, it would have still been as loud. Oh, it would have been more, because they would have filled that bitch. If they had like, if this was in like a big, like, like soccer, like football stadium, they would have sold that bitch out. I I believe all of Mexico would have been in that motherfucker watching this match.
SPEAKER_01That's facts. And the reason why is this crazy how this this was a funny gimmick to going into the most prestige match in Mexican culture is a mass versus mass because. The mask is literally your identity. It is you. You take it off, you're basically a dead man. It's literally cutting your own head off at that point.
SPEAKER_00Listen, they they watching watching the whole show and then leading up to the match and the entrances and everything. It's like they this match, which I'm also very glad that that Gable and Ludwig also like they're like, nah. Man, they made that match so well. They they approached this match with the utmost importance. They approached this match as important as the Mexican people saw this match being. They knew how much this was on the line.
SPEAKER_01Like, this could not be some bullshit match. This was this was the equivalent of that Avengers section in that WrestleMania match with Roman Ray and Cody Rhodes. It was that big. Like when having um the all the people coming into the match and interfering and things of that nature, and the magnitude behind how important this match was for the culture. Like, I don't know if you notice small little key things, even in the entrance, how Chad Gable was wearing all black and then uh Kaiser was wearing white, and even their mariachi bands was matching it. It's yin and yang. It's the opposite of the two, and he's seen as the darker side of the Mexican culture uh Chad Gables because he's not one of us, but he's he's playing in this gimmick, and then the person who is so pure, so seen as a hero, his mariachi band, he's also wearing white. It's it's imagery, it's synergy, it's it's beautiful imagery that people probably didn't point out. But I pointed that shit out immediately, and I was like, oh okay, I see how this is, and then for the match itself, I feel like, man, the selling was on point. That that the selling was on point. Ludwig getting hit with a guitar immediately and just listen, the everywhere it's on point.
SPEAKER_00Let me put the watching this match did two things. It number one, it really showed me how good Ludwig Kaiser is as a wrestler. Yes. If you forgot or undermined how good he was prior, this match reminds you, it's like, oh, this guy can actually really go. I mean, he's Gunther's best friend. And so then you look at uh Chad Gable, and I don't think we I don't think the world forgot how good Chad Gable is. But it's one of those deals where, yeah, they but no one gets to see it. And it's like all of Chad Gable's best matches were also, most of them were in tag team matches. Yes. And then it's like, and then like the matches where he's had, it's like they don't let him just go. They don't let him do Chad Gable.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, it all of his matches with Penta's have been damn near five stars. Especially when Pinta first got here, all of them five stars. Like, if it wasn't for, I feel like Chad Gable was the best person to make Pinta look good. And unfortunately, Pinta is still on Raw, which I honestly, you know, as much as I love Penta, man, just go to Triple A.
SPEAKER_00Well, I feel uh it's funny because like I also I feel as if that though Pinta would be fine in triple A, I there's a part of me that's like, I don't think Pinta wants to go.
SPEAKER_01I don't think he I mean yeah, because he's been there already. It's just so it's like it's just that I know with WWE, he's no more, he's gonna be nothing more than a Mick Carter. Until we get rid of the raw Roman Reigns, the Seth Rollins, and even with that, unfortunately, we still have now the Trick Williams, the Oba families. So like Penta is it's not going to ever get that rub in that lane when we already have people who are just gonna replace it, which I'm not gonna complain. Seeing my brothers being top star, I'm not gonna complain it at all. Right? I'm not we know Oba's gonna be a heavyweight champion. We know Trick is gonna be a heavyweight champion. Like, at this point, those two belts are made for those two niggas. Yeah, they'll get them. Yeah, they're gonna get them. They better get them, goddamn.
Booking Oba Femi After Brock
SPEAKER_01If they don't get them, Black Twit, boy, I don't even think black Twitter, I think all of Twitter, wrestling Twitter, will hate every one of you niggas. Like, TKO, you got one motherfucking job.
SPEAKER_00And if you miss, you already remember how we I was I told you the fact that just that they better make sure they do WrestleMania right.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, if even if they weren't in WrestleMania for the titles yet, maybe not this mania, right?
SPEAKER_00It wasn't even so much of them being there for the titles.
SPEAKER_01Because they were in the Oh, you talk about with them winning their matches. Yeah. Oh, okay. No, I'm talking about just future-wise. You got one motherfucking job now. They better be champion at some point, and their reigns better mean something. Because for for all of us to feel the way that we did about Brat Lesnar beating Oba again, and uh, which is gonna create the rubber match, which a lot of people are also saying that uh Brat Lesnar is going to somewhat cost Oba that's the only way to make this work. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, I don't understand why people are upset about that. We know what's gonna happen. Because it's like, like, y'all, you know that we have to go this course. Now, the only thing, the the one thing that I hope that they actually do is that once we get this rubber match, this rubber match needs to be like like a like a definitive, like uh what's the world?
SPEAKER_01I need Oba Femi to create a match. Not something like a Pujami. No, no, no, no, no, no, like make it like almost why not?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, okay. We don't need a Nigerian street fight, you know, uh we don't we we don't need uh a ruler sits on the throne match. Alright, alright. Like the like the you know, I'll allow you to hear what kind of match are you concoctioning in your head for Oba Femi to create?
SPEAKER_01I I don't necessarily it doesn't have to be a huge stipulation behind it, but like something that would be almost like the a cinematic fight. Like how they've done with Undertaker and AJ Styles. Something like that. Well, that way, because Brock could actually be gone. This is the best way you can make sure Brock is done.
SPEAKER_00But but like so if it's a you know, Oba Fimi doesn't have like supernatural powers, right?
SPEAKER_01He doesn't. He does well, not saying he's not killing him off or something like that, but like But you could do something in okay, so in a wrestling ring, you can't do something nowadays like you used to back in the day where uh like a tune, like a casket match.
SPEAKER_00Wait, are you saying like him like throwing them off the top of a building type situation?
SPEAKER_01Like they did Rey Mysterio?
SPEAKER_00Yes. Yes, is that what you're saying to do? I mean, he said he was going to kill him. He said that. Uh, listen, uh No. No.
SPEAKER_01I see I know what you mean. You don't want you don't want the the supernatural and all this stuff, whatever to- I don't even not want it.
SPEAKER_00It's just that he doesn't have powers. He doesn't have those.
SPEAKER_01We don't we don't know, we don't need powers involved. We need to, okay, again, definitely, whatever is gonna do, if we're if Brock is actually gonna retire, do something that makes you like, hey, Brock should not return after this.
SPEAKER_00So you're what like as so you're more so wanting to be like a buried alive or some shit like that. Like him to have some type of match where like the match ends up ending backstage so that they can like stage as if like, you know. You wrote like you wrote Brock off to you. Brock Lesnar got blown. But see, the problem with that is the fact that I mean I guess they could do it because they've Because Brock don't need it.
SPEAKER_01Brock Brock is the kind of person you will not see him in civilization. He is perfectly fine in his fucking farm.
SPEAKER_00So my suggestion that I've come up with is the fact that it needs to be a match with a stipulation, and I think that stipulation should be last man standing. Valid. I feel a last man standing.
SPEAKER_01You technically could make that a Nigerian thing. You technically could. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00As soon as we start making Nigerian streak Oba Femi's crap, you you want you want to normalize Oba Fimi? That's how you do it. Because he no, no, I am not about to allow Oba Femi's identity and race defy the type of man No! Absolutely not! We are not doing that. It's always fun to rage bait this nigga. That's no, we're not doing that. Please, the I swear on everything that happens to Oba Femi, yeah, he's bumped down to the mid-card immediately. Fucking hell dog.
SPEAKER_01But we could have we could have a tribal combat match though. But that's a regular ass match. So, and I have trust me, I'm not a problem with that too. Because I feel like they could have really made that important by like, which somebody did, I forgot who was.
SPEAKER_00Literally a tribal, the only thing let me put it this way.
SPEAKER_01It's just basically a street fight.
SPEAKER_00It's just a street fight. Yeah. It's just a street fight. Yeah. That that's all it is. Now, the only time it ever seemed like it was something extra was when they which is what I kind of thought the whole tribal combat thing was. Cause like I play the wrestling game, and when you have a uh when you have tribal combat, like it it's they which I'm thinking right now, it's kind of funny. Cause they base tribal combat off of the shit that happened in the uh in the match where he fought Cody Rhodes. Yeah. Cause that match when he when Roman Reigns lost, like, they named that because I'm pretty didn't they name that like a tribal photo?
SPEAKER_01Talking about Mania?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Tribal combat is only amongst man Oh sorry, bloodline rules. That's the one I'm thinking about. Okay, I'm sorry. Because those are two separate things. Yes. Tribal combat and bloodline rules. But it's really the only difference is the fact that with the bloodline rules, like it's like you, his family was able to come out, and if you got family, your family can come out and help you win that match. But with the tribal combat, it's all the only the only thing that is, it's just it's a acknowledge, you have to acknowledge the winner.
SPEAKER_01And they are the head of the table.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so pretty much it's it's honestly it's a match for the Ulafala.
SPEAKER_01Really. That's what that match is. But I I do I remember, I forgot who it was, it was Russell Talk or somebody else. They were like, yo, what would have made tribal combat, especially this one, mean a lot more, is that like break K Fe, right? Get all of the Wani family, get all, like get Haku and everybody in there. Even get the MFTs, like, hey, we beefing, but this is family shit right now. Like this is and get them all present, right? And then do the ceremony where they, you know, they do the handshake and they touch heads, and then you have all of the just the Samoans in the ring just respecting the the ceremony of creating tribal combat, right? Or if you couldn't do it in a ring, do it as a cinematical thing, right? Rikishi's in the corner, you know, uh other people in the Samoan dynasty is in there, and then make that feel special, would uh I guess made the the match have more significance to it. But because when they did the whole in heb tap, he wasn't even wearing an olafala. Roman Reyes wasn't even wearing Olafala. He wasn't, it just did it felt like another match. So, like, yes, it felt like another match, but if they're going to utilize tribal combat in the way that they do, they need to add more significance to it outside of like it's amongst you guys, we're not Samoan, so we don't know. So, how is this significant to me outside of the Ulfala and the fact that Roman Reigns is involved? Because is this even gonna be a match type when Roman Reigns leaves? Probably not, but like if you're gonna do it, do it right.
Monster Vs Big Man Archetypes
SPEAKER_00And that ropes around to the reasons why they don't need to do some shit like that for Oba Femi. Alright, that's true. They they that because once you start doing that, then like now cuz then they start, in my opinion, I feel like if they did something like that for Oba Femi, you guys start leaning and running the risk of being racist a little bit. Just a little bit. Cause it because you're gonna you're gonna teeter.
SPEAKER_01And especially because Unless it's a the only thing I would see it as, because he's he's I don't we wouldn't have to make it Nigerian, right? We can make it something of a Oba family if Oba Fainley had this thing where he I don't um I don't say no to a specific match, so like say he could probably use a situation where if he starts having opponents who would be in rubber matches with him, he keeps beating, he's like, fuck it, I have no choice. Remember, like hell in a cell was the thing. Hell in a cell used to be like, yo, this is it, right? But Triple H could say no, and anybody else could say no. It could be a stipulation of a match, like it could be a a street fight. Because to Oba, street fights mean a lot to him and something like that. So say if he's going against opponent and he's like keeps losing or whatever, and he's like, fuck it. Street fight. Like Oba's like, I can't say no to that. Yes. But like, not in like a you make it uh uh his own match, but like say if it was a stipulation that drives him. Like anytime I'm in the cell, I feel at home, or like anytime I'm in the chamber, I feel at like just something that makes him get hype so whenever somebody yells it, like war games. The audience be like, you just did that with Oba Femi. That's crazy. You know what I'm saying? Like what if they did something like that?
SPEAKER_00Uh no, I don't I really don't think like they Oba Femi listen, Oba Femi already has a bunch of gimmick going on, alright? You know, he he you know, he he uh as a lot of people have been calling it, uh the aura farming for Oba Femi is at a maximum at this point. He does not need an extra thing like that. Like he doesn't because there's like Do you not feel like his product would get stale at some point then? I don't think see yesterday, I don't think that that would happen. Uh but of course that the only reason why his product would get stale is because uh because of shitty story.
SPEAKER_01Well, uh not only that, it's just also like you gotta you gotta get into a situation of like who the fuck can beat Oba? Because remember when you saw Ricky Saints beat him, he's like, nah nigga, that's not believable, bruh. So like what it because of how he is as a character in the aura that he has, he has an aura that could be potentially a Undertaker-esque, you know, where he's the final boss.
SPEAKER_00So somebody beating him. So the the issue with the so the issue with Ricky Saints for me, beating Oba Femi, was the fact that to me, it bothered me because Oba Femi is not on that level. I'm sorry, uh Ricky Saints is not on that level. He is not on a level that makes me believe that he could beat him. And one of the I actually kind of made this comparison not too long ago to Ray Zion. It's like because it always goes back to Kane for me, right? Oba Femi is currently in his Kane era. The only difference was when Kane was going through his era where he was just slaying people, he wasn't doing it in matches. He was just going out there and beating the shit out of people, kind of thing. And it wasn't until and then the first match that Kane had, after just for months just beating the shit out of people, he went up against Undertaker, an established, powerful entity that is at the top of the main event card. And Kane lost to him. Alright. Now, what that does, it sets up a uh a cap point in my mind, alright? Because during that time when Undertaker beat him, or when Undertaker beat him, think about other people Undertaker beat at that time. The likes of like Stone Cold and the Rock, you know, Undertaker beats main eventers, kind of thing. And so it was like when Kane took that L to Undertaker, it's like, okay, I get it, that makes sense. And then much later on, Kane goes up against someone like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Now, Kane is a very well-established, powerful monster, but Stone Cold Steve Austin is a very high caliber competitor for him to face. So then it's like it makes sense when under when Kane well when Stone Cold finds a way to beat Kane, you accept that because Stone Cold is up here, and the last person we saw Kane lose to is also up here. So going to Oba Femi now, Oba Femi has beaten Brock. He's up here, but Brock has beaten him. That's still up here. Who else is up here in this echelon of who's beaten Brock?
SPEAKER_01So that's the thing. Then that means nobody can do it. No, no, no. But okay, because I can I can list off wrestlers, and I want you to tell me those people if that person could be uh Oba Femin. And I promise they've beaten Brock. Barely anybody has beaten Brock. But there are people there who have beaten Brock. That are not in that damn roster. And if they did, they did it off some cheap shit. Like we're talking about a clean fucking pin. A clean pin. How many people have gotten a clean pin on Brock that's currently in the roster?
SPEAKER_00So but but the thing is, because Seth Rollins and Roman. Yes. But that is the upper card area. But then, but now now hear me though. Seth Rollins and Roman, okay, but then when you look at who has beaten Seth Rollins and Roman, you know, the people who are at this point with Seth Rollins and Roman, these are the people who need to be fighting Oba Femi.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so that that again, that could be just like kind of content like I see people do. I would just name off wrestlers and I want you to tell me if that person could be Oba Femi. Would it be pr believable if they got a clean pin on him? Okay, go ahead. Okay, so we I I don't have everybody off my tip of my head. Bronn Breaker.
SPEAKER_00Bron Breaker. Um, with where he's currently at? Almost, but not quite. Bronson Reed. Brunson Reed. Brunson Reed, because of where he's at? No. So you're Brunson Reed is they have not put Brunson Reed is not in that upper echelon yet. But but he's still one of those people that if I saw him get a clean power, I would it would be somewhat believable. Yes, it is somewhat believable that he could beat him. Uh let me put it this way Brunson Reed and and uh and uh uh both bronze, okay? Both bronze are in a position where they because of where they're at right now, and this is literally just looking at where they're at right now, if I if we rolled this back a little bit, right? And if we're talking about peak vision, peak vision, I would have told you yes. But because of where vision is right now, neither of them know.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so then that points it out again. So now we have those two individuals who to me, I ideally, if I saw them get a clean pin on Oba family, I would I'd be like, yep, that makes sense, right? But now, okay, we start looking at the rest of the roster. Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins, yes, I could see it. Yes. Okay, obviously Roman Reigns. Okay, Jacob Fatu. Yes. Okay, any of the ooses.
SPEAKER_00Any of the ooses right now? Like Jey Uso, the Uso, Sola, and because they're not in that upper echelon.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so right now we technically only have four.
SPEAKER_00Listen. We got four. Seth Rollins, CM Punk, um, uh, yes, Jacob Fatu, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, all those guys, Drew McIntyre.
SPEAKER_01All right. Actually, I wouldn't be I wouldn't be too satisfied, Drew did that. I would, I wouldn't be. I don't say I wouldn't say he outright should be able to beat him.
SPEAKER_00Listen, but he better be crazy. Because out of everyone who I just said, Drew McIntyre is my number one who should beat the shit out of not beat no not beat the shit.
SPEAKER_01No, no. It better be a dog fight. It better be like, because Oba, Oba to me, Drew McIntyre. I mean, I wouldn't say Drew should be beating the hell out of him.
SPEAKER_00Hell no. Sure, he shouldn't, but like, but I would say, like, not directly, but like, if Oba Femi got jumped by Drew McIntyre, I'd believe it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, he'd leave his ass bloody. Okay, yes, that's true. But I'm saying, like, if we go in a straight one-on-one situation, Drew should not be dog walking him. Drew, it should be a fight, and Drew better come out and be like, you know, like he should not be getting a clean pin where he's looking at him like, yeah, bitch.
SPEAKER_00And so, like, so yes, all of those. And then, and but but then here's the part where things are weird, okay? Because, like, I say all those people, but because I've also watched NXT, Trick Williams, yes. I would say Trick Williams. I would also say someone like Dragon Off. And though it sounds crazy, but I've seen it, but then I would also throw in Javon Evans in there. Now, on the main roster, it sounds that sounds like a crazy statement to make.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00Because yeah, you're you're oral. Get stronger as you go to the upper level. But but it's one of those things where I've because I've seen it and I know how it would look, it would make sense. But because of like how he's being presented on the main roster right now, I I would take Javon Evans out, but I still would leave Trick Williams in there. And so clean? Nah.
SPEAKER_01Doesn't have to be clean. Trick Williams not clean. I I he has to do like a low below or something. I'm not getting a clean.
SPEAKER_00But like, but the thing, but my point that I'm making with him is the fact, like, there are people in there. Because like once he fights these kind of people, and he's having those matches with these people, and then he loses these matches with these people, number one, it doesn't hurt him if he loses to these people, and because it it makes sense because these are upper echelon stars. It truly, it truly to me would depend on the finish. And then what also happens is when he loses to these upper echelon stars, once he starts losing to these upper echelon people, the proper way, because there is a proper way. That's what I'm saying, the finish, yes. But it's like uh and it it like like certain ones, sure, it's fine if they cheat, but like there are certain ones who I feel can just outright beat him, kind of thing. But it's one of those things where because at the end of the day, it's really all in the way that you book, because it's it's not impossible to book a monster and then humanize the monster so he can just kind of fall in place with the rest of the wrestlers. Because listen, they did it with Braun Strowman, yeah, they've done it with Kane, but then he starts more L's. But see, that's also I feel because of the fact that with Braun Strowman they just lost interest in him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And then and when Kane, he was on the car, he was like, okay, he's the monster, but like, we're not gonna put the title on him every two seconds.
SPEAKER_00Like, what because they don't have well, but then there's also the fact that because Kane being a monster is different from what Oba Femi is, because Oba Femi's not a monster. What what is he doing? Oba Femi does not Oba Femi is let me see here. I would I think I would just he's just a big man. Really? He's not a monster. He's a big man with monster tendencies. Sure. You could say you can say he has cause he has Because he comes and does the the thing and that's monsters be throwing motherfuckers, man. But I wouldn't, but that's not a full characteristic of a monster, though. Well, well, no. Like he's 'cause like big men can do monster things without being monsters. This is true. And so so which all buffemy. Because like, if that be the case, do you also consider Brock Lester a monster?
SPEAKER_01In the eyes of the community, yes.
SPEAKER_00He's not no big man. I don't really think Brock's.
SPEAKER_01To me, a monster is like when the name is brought up, it brings terror. That's what a monster is supposed to do. So when somebody's like all of a sudden you hear the it's like, oh shit, it's over. Especially for us and our people. They hold the title, but you know, um, it is a monster. It's a person that is bringing fear into a situation. And when you hear the who uh dun who that's monster. That is literally Godzilla coming out right now. Come on now. I don't know. Come on now. That's not Godzilla coming out right there. I don't know, bro. I I mean I mean he walks out like a big man. He doesn't, he doesn't have the persona of a big man like uh not big man, uh a monster where he's like, but like monsters still bring that effect.
SPEAKER_00I feel like the the problem is that I can't think of what is the actual, like I can't, I can't put together what it is that he is.
SPEAKER_01He no, you you have a point. He is a big man. But it's like because like well honestly, he might be his own category. That's the thing about Oba. He might be he might be his own category of of type of wrestler because of his aura itself, it's it's beyond what a big man would normally have in the business, and it's not of the similar caliber of a monster, which is true.
SPEAKER_00Because it's like Oba Femi, he he he is more big man than monster, but there is a particular like there's a particular spot for what Oba Femi is. Because like Oba Femi, like, Oba Femi is not a monster because monsters destroy everything. Like, you don't see him out here like you don't see him Jacob Fattooing. Jacob Fatu right now, and when you look, when you look at all of WWE. Do you not remember what he did to the security guards? Do you not remember him picking up the two guys and bringing them to the ring and kicking their ass? I don't see that's the problem. Cause it's like, I don't monster tendencies, sure, but he's not a monster, though. No, no, that's why he's not a monster. I agree with you that he's a big man, but with monster tendencies. I did say that. Yes, you did, but it's like I but even then, like, even with the small monster tendencies, because like all big men do often, you know, have that those monster tendencies because they're big dudes, they can throw their weight around. Yeah. Which is why it's like I I try to use that term very lightly, the monster tendencies, because giants have monster tendencies, but they're still giants. Big men, because like the reason why I put him in that big man category is because like they though they can have big men do oftentimes like you know dip in monster activities, so what they're still not but they're they're not true monsters. So so what if what if it was monsters are out of control?
SPEAKER_01You you're correct, but what if what if it was like okay, there's monster, like monster is the the baseline, right? But then there's subdivisions. So it's like it technically it still it has the tendencies, but it really leans more into the side of I'm actually a big man, but I still stem in that area of being a monster in some areas, like you know how I may act if I'm being uh like you know how a big show used to come around and punch everybody, like in in being a terror and being a monster, like it's the core, right? But really, you branched off and became something else. But you still every once in a while to come back to this, but you're really here.
SPEAKER_00So if that be the case, then it'd be more so like if that was the case, like if you're talking about these branches kind of thing, when you put the branch of like a monster and then a big man kind of thing, like he is big man, but then it's like a dip into monster tree.
SPEAKER_01But but that's no because my thought process was like in all reality, in every situation when a big man is brought on screen, he immediately they they try to make him a monster, right? Oh my god, he's so big, he's so this. Like, think of when Paul White first came in there. He came in and threw Austin, he looked like a monster because it's like, bro, he's big as shit, but then he became a giant, and then he became a monster every once in a blue moon, but he was all reality a giant. So I feel like same thing with great Kali. When he first came in and started squishing motherfuckers' heads, that was monster, but then he became the lovable giant.
SPEAKER_00Do you see what I'm saying? Well, I mean, like that he did transform into a lovable giant. Yeah, so that's what I'm saying. The core is this. But it's like, I don't think because you're making it where monster is the is the tree, and then monsters branch off into big men and giants.
SPEAKER_01Because they normally present him to us as like, oh my god, look out, like think of even Omas. When he first came in and he started being a ro he did monster shit, but then he became big man.
SPEAKER_00No, I see that's where I disagree. Cause like when you present a big person, you know, that initial look at them, sure, you're going to think, oh, he's a monster of an individual. But it's how they act truly is where it is. Because just because they're presented as being like this force of destruction kind of thing, you know, does not truly mean that they fall into that particular bit. That's just the showing. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01But it's like, but just because So the core is they show you as a monster, but then you're actually this. And they branch you into those categories. That's what I'm talking about. I don't, but that's but I but that does not make them that, though. No, that's what I'm saying. I'm not telling them, I'm not saying that they are all monsters. I'm saying they present you in the beginning as a monster, but then you become something else.
SPEAKER_00I don't think, because like shh, I don't think that's an accurate way to look at it.
SPEAKER_01I I think it's you don't want these people to be immediately identified as monsters. But what I'm just saying is at core, whenever they're presented as a big man, whenever Braun Strowman took off his mask, it was like, ooh, that guy is scary, which is a monster, but then he became something else. Well, I sh I guess it's not I'm not trying to cat it, like a monster to me is you you stay in that lane. So like while Rhino wasn't a monster, the gore itself was monster-esque.
SPEAKER_00But see, but what but then that's where I think your logic falls. When you talk about with like a Rhino. Yeah. Like, unless do you consider Rhino a monster? Well, he was in ECW, yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_01So then, but like But in WWE, when they presented him, they presented him as a monster. Like he was uncontrollable and he's coming and doing stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00And so, so, but that's the thing though, because it's like, I don't feel that the presentation of someone is what dictates what they are, kind of thing. So it has to be action. Because I could like yes, because that that's really what it is. The actions of how they their actions is what makes them what they are.
SPEAKER_01So him sparing Chris Jerko into the street.
SPEAKER_00Listen, I could debut and look like a monster, but I then like when I first show up, but I'm also, but then not actually be a monster. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01So what would you consider Rhino in WWE?
SPEAKER_00That's like saying, like, uh like Stone Cole Steve Austin debuts, and he's like this uncontrollable dude swinging chairs and drinking beer. Like, you know, like try like saying like that's a that's monster activity.
SPEAKER_01Technically, technically, when he came back from the injury and he kept causing a ruckus and interfering matches.
SPEAKER_00So are you saying that Stone Cold's a fucking monster?
SPEAKER_01Well, in that point, yes. Because he went around causing because okay, so I guess maybe maybe I'm not understanding to me what defines a monster because if you say a monster is uncontrollable, Austin was uncontrollable, so is that not a monster?
SPEAKER_00So then what is you're saying I'm talking overall persona. What that so they can't be anything else but that. Listen. Because if that's the case, then that's Leo Rush. So right now, right? Because it's not so much that they can't be anything but that, because people change gimmicks all the time, sure. But like, just because Stone Cole one time showed up and was swinging chairs and attacking everybody and beating everyone.
SPEAKER_01He was doing that for a whole, like, whole storyline.
SPEAKER_00But that but but that but that does not make him a monster.
SPEAKER_01So that's what I'm saying. What definitive thing he was a monster in that moment, sure. Yes, so that's what I'm saying. What makes a person, this is their archetype, this is who they are, and we we're not using Kane as a threshold because Kane's situation is significant to Kane. So if we're talking about anybody else's coming into the business, what would make them a monster?
SPEAKER_00So well, that's the thing, though, because Kane is a monster. Yes. The only time Kane was I can't the only time Kane wasn't actually a monster was when he kind of went into that corporate Kane thing. But even then, when he puts the mask on, he became that monster. Yes. So it's like the monster, it's not when it comes to someone who is a monster, it's not so much the fact that they have one splurt of running around doing something crazy. We've got past that part. I'm just trying to find out what is the definitive thing. What is the definitive thing? Someone who is a monster is someone who because like they they have this bit of, you know, like, yes, they they put fear in everyone. When they fight, they are very savage and and very, you know, tyrannical in the things that they do. They fight in a way as if like they're just always trying to hurt someone. Rhino. They're ravenous, they're which is fine, yes. Rhino, he is a monster. Yeah, yes, and he always has been, but later on, they stopped using him as a monster. Yes, Jacob, too. He is a monster. Yes. He does those things where he's like, he's uncontrollable, he attacks anyone and everyone. You know what I'm saying? He's out there, he's doing things to try and hurt you and stuff like that. Brunson Reed is not a monster. How?
SPEAKER_01Like he literally the tsunami itself is the the main the thing that makes him a monster.
SPEAKER_00Monster moments, but that he has a move where he he yes, he he's gone out there and he's attacked people repeatedly and stuff like that. But it's like, but his actual the way that he carries himself, the way he moves and everything, it's more big man. It's more big man. He's not doing he's not, he's not going out there, you know, ravenously just attacking motherfuckers just because he can. He's got more sense than that. Which Okay, so this is a person who does who who who Going back to Braun Strowman. Yeah, okay, when he became the monster among men, do you remember how he used to move? I'm not sure if you're gonna do that.
SPEAKER_01Do you remember seeing the things that he's? I'm not finished with you yet, yes.
SPEAKER_00You know, like how he did what he did to Roman Reigns? That's monster shit. Mm-hmm. Brunson Reed has never did anything like that. Outside the one time he's gone out there and he tsunamed people, sure.
SPEAKER_01I mean, he's done a lot of big back backstage uh beatdowns like that when he tsunamied fucking Eli. Oh, not say Eli Drake, sorry, uh, LA Knight on the fucking car. And he did that to Seth. He did that like to multiple people. And like the the multiple tsunamis, like, I I just feel like, granted, yes, he definitely is big man because he presents himself like I am a big motherfucker, I am this, but he he definitely has monster tendencies, sure. But that does not make you a monster. I know, correct, correct. I will agree with you on that one.
SPEAKER_00But to me, Oba Femi, he is a he is, as of right now, the best way I can describe him as being a big man, but like Oba Femi does not have he may have monster tendencies from time to time. Like, you know, he does he he may throw his weight around, but like he's not out there braun stromanning people. He's not out there wild like Jacob Fatu. He does not put the fear of God in someone like Undertaker did, or even more so, Kane would. Hold up. When you look at Peak Kane. Hold up now. You telling me Oba Femi doesn't bring intimidation? Intimidation, sure. Not fear. I don't think he's like, I don't think he is, he is not, I would not I do not fear Oba Femi. Like, I would fear Kane coming out there with the fucking shackles on after he dropped Linda McMahon on her head. Okay. Monster!
SPEAKER_01That is presentation, but with Oba that is, but that's what monsters are. You're correct. It's that presentation. That presentation of like, okay, I guess maybe to me, I see a monster as in the people acknowledge him as yo, if you are going in a match with him, you are getting your shit kicked in. Alright. And whenever the crowd starts chanting Oba and he's coming to the ring, it's like that one meme where you saw it's like you're in the ring and oba Femi's coming out to the ring, right? And it's just like that's you, bro.
SPEAKER_00Right. Like he falls more as if he's like like an uh like an irresistible force type figure. That would make more sense. I I would 100% go on. Brock Lesnar is an irresistible force, okay? But this then this is just a terminology that just can't that's the first word I can think of that I could put him into a slot of. You know what I'm saying? No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01That that makes because to me, a big man is like he he's somewhat still a person. Yes. And yes, Obafemi is still somewhat a person.
SPEAKER_00And that's why that's the other bit that why I separate them from one to the other.
SPEAKER_01And that then that makes more sense now. Because like you see more of a monster being like, he's not human. He he is, and that's why I was asking, is Leo Rush a monster?
SPEAKER_00So So Leo Rush, he has there is a monster type thing that he he the his current character that he's doing is a monster in a sense, but I have not seen enough of this character to truly say whether fit a monster.
SPEAKER_01Because yeah, he's not he's not doing destruction. His character is because like that's he's almost like a man.
SPEAKER_00He's actually more of a mystic, I would say. Leo Rush is about Leo Rush actually currently kind of falls into uh the that that mystic side, yeah, which is kind of sort of where your wife, yeah, your actual Undertaker, you know, that they it's it's wasn't he a mystic?
SPEAKER_01He was a mystic, uh like Undertaker was more of a mystic, irresistible force. Correct. Okay. Yeah. Because now once you bring irresistible force into the conversation, we just went off a big man, giant, like now adding irresistible force into the conversation, that definitely falls more over for me.
SPEAKER_00Correct. Because like under like Undertaker is a weird one because like when he first when he was first debuted, he was debuted as a monster. But once you start talking more, and once he started, you know, cutting his promos and stuff like that, he went from being a monster to this mystical force of sorts kind of especially with Ministry of Darkness came uh Undertaker. Oh yeah, especially then. And it's like an Undertaker's kind of stayed into this mystic side. He has he has monster tendencies, he can get monster is, but as we have now, as I've laid it out, anyone can get monster is if they want to, by you know, the definition of wing the the the loose definition of it kind of thing. But it's like Undertaker is as he as Undertaker has kind of continued on, he's lost hit he lost his monster personality as opposed to being this mystic force. And the reason and and what made him lose his monster personality is the fact that he for all intents and purposes. Well, not just the human shit, but he started being for all intents and purposes like a monster slayer. Anyone who has been identified as a monster has run through Undertaker at some particular point. Okay. Monsters and giants, Undertaker slays them.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Kind of thing.
SPEAKER_01So that's on that's he basically people were created for him to take down. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Correct. And so it's like, so like Undertaker, like when you look at everyone who he has faced that were like these big dudes, but they had like these, you know, the monsters.
Building A Wrestling Archetype Dictionary
SPEAKER_01I love how you had a worry about what to talk about today, and we spent like a whole hour and throwing something.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, listen, because I didn't have anything in my mind. For all intents and purposes, you brought all of this up. Well, you're correct. Correct. I'm just saying, it's like it, but this is this is this is a thing. This is why I was gonna call this episode shoot and shit.
SPEAKER_01Well, honestly, no, this is actually the the beginning of this conversation does stem in like what is what is acceptable for somebody to come into the business as a wrestling fan. So that could be the core of it, and then also leaning into you know, we've had this conversation of what is the differences between a monster and a giant, big man, and all that kind of stuff. But I feel like, you know, if nobody has done it before, maybe we can just do content where we're explaining to us what are these archetypes in wrestling. Because while as wrestling fans, we know it, but we never discuss it. You know what I'm saying? That's true. That that I mean, and I you don't see many people really. And doing a definition. What is a like, you know, especially making clips, what is a big man? And then we explain it and then showcase things that they're doing. I would just need you to give me definitive moments where I can put that in the clip to showcase it. And it's like, it could be like wrestling one-on-one. Right? Content about us explaining wrestling archetypes, and we can be like a uh uh uh this is the from the domain of explanation, some shit like that.
SPEAKER_00I'm glad you're such a big dreamer. I mean, we got to be. I mean we have to be. I mean, it's worth it is something that was worth speaking on. And especially with wrestling being so goddamn boring nowadays, like I'm actually not against having that conversation. Plus, I feel especially. Considering how we were tried, I think it actually would not be a bad idea to like maybe zero in and figure it out. Now, but the only thing is, how should we go about? Should we do the thing where we just pick a wrestler and then identify what they are?
SPEAKER_01We can do a lot of things with that, actually. We can do like almost like a a Jeopardy like type situation where if we have guests on here and say, hey, you've watched a podcast, right? Like, yeah, we skimmed a little bit. Okay, cool. So we're gonna give you like anyone, we do the boot bumper berry thing. We can also do like, hey, what do you think the art type of this wrestler is? Technician, uh big man or whatever, and then having those people define who they are, and you know, by our definition alone. Now we can end up creating our own definition.
SPEAKER_00Granted, we, you know, I mean, I I can tell you right now, uh at least from the last time I was looking it up, we're definitely going to be creating it only because it doesn't exist.
SPEAKER_01I mean, they they do exist, like you can go into wrestling archives and say who is a technician and it X, Y, and Z.
SPEAKER_00Yes, but like But the problem is, when I've when I first tried doing some of this research, what happens is is the fact that because I think the the first piece is the fact that when we look at it, uh I'm we're looking at it from like surface level? Kinda sorta, but it's also like it's one of those deals where um it there's it go there's a weird depth that it goes to. Cause it's like, sure, you can have your like showman, brawler, monster, giant type thing, right? But then it's like for certain ones of those I've seen where it's like like uh I can't for I can't remember which ones, but it's like like when I look I remember it was I think it was like with technician, it's like technician was like a branch, not the tree.
SPEAKER_01So also okay, we can kind of do like a tree aspect where every wrestler is the foundation boom. But then there's certain branches that certain people go into.
SPEAKER_00And and the issue is online from what I've seen, there's no there's no true definitive what's the tree versus what's the branch. And so because like when I was looking at certain things, you know, because like there's brawlers, and then there's fighters. And it's like Yeah, that's that's I've seen brawlers be up here, and then stemming from brawler is a fighter, but then I've also seen online where a fighter and then underneath fighter is like brawler and then something else, and so it's defining what it's the online has not no one has gone through and defined, like, alright, what is the tree and what's the branches? Cause like uh because when I I remember when I was looking it up, like I think uh at like what was screwing me up for a moment was the fact that like monster was a branch.
SPEAKER_01So what's the the what would be the the tree itself?
SPEAKER_00So the tree big man um that's the thing, I don't remember what the tree was. Well we'll we'll we'll be creating it, goddammit. So that's why I was saying in fact, like if we go down this rabbit hole, we'd kind of sort of be going to a little bit of an uncharted territory when it comes to research. But I'm also down for it.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm also I think a definitive thing about us being, you know, people that create this, some people may feel like, well, you're not a part of the business, you're not wrestlers, how can you define that? But this is just like fuck y'all.
SPEAKER_00I am a wrestler. I've trained. Alright? I haven't had a match, but I've learned.
SPEAKER_01But here's the thing, here's the thing, yes, we do have a little bit of that psychology and I know a wrestler!
SPEAKER_00My one of my best friends is a wrestler.
SPEAKER_01If that's the case, I fucked many. So then what does that make me? Alright.
SPEAKER_00I ain't gonna say that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, but does that make me a mark? Does that make me a mark? I was gonna say a hoe, but look, as long as I could be one of godfathers, I was gonna give a fuck. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Hey, yo?
SPEAKER_01What? Hey, look, pimping, pimping ain't easy, bro. You can pimp anything, alright? You know what I'm saying? And especially in this day and age.
Patreon Plans And Final Wrap
SPEAKER_01I think this is the part where we wrap up the show. I think this is the part where uh we uh we we we we start saying and uh we uh we start getting uh getting all up out of here uh that's uh cause uh because um yeah uh wow look I might be I could be worth a uh don't don't put a price on your hoage bro don't do that don't do that don't please don't please don't everybody's got a price everybody's gonna pay Oh no not this man putting them putting a price You started it motherfucker putting a price Hey look look look technically we all hoeing in some way anyway but yes guys please let us know in the comments what are your thoughts if you feel like one having a definitive dictionary of what is considered a monster big man technician all these things and be able to categorize it with your wrestlers would that be a useful tool as wrestling fans because you know as you can see through our back and forth we both have um disagreements on what we feel like a monster big man and I feel like that course could be for everybody everybody could have that similar situation so let us know in the comments do you guys have that same difficulty being able to define that and would you like seeing something like that created or are we just two guys that just read way too far into shit like we've already been told that in the comments which is oh I mean yeah I mean it is what it is it is what it is but I mean hey you're watching we're here but uh um as always guys we definitely appreciate you guys being here we're gonna be I'm gonna be starting a Patreon soon so that way you guys can see some of the behind the scenes things that we do especially when we're in the uh the domain of destruction and um our moments with wrestlers that we have here off screen and all that kind of stuff so uh be on the lookout for the Patreon and see opportunities from there but as always at the Big Brothers of Destruction podcast it the ring is sacred the questions are real and the destruction is guaranteed Sugo is the Mosuku it is your boy Double JB swatch in the building you added shit now okay uh so next time guys you guys have a good one um so real quick I do want to do one of those uh takeaways into a video um and saying hey if you're liking the content think about subscribing so rather than doing it at the end I'm gonna do it at middle point of the video the um the what do we call it the man yeah yeah so uh we could just do this like hey guys you liking the video so far this this and that so um that way I can utilize that in this since we're alright here we're actually in a good spot I really like this how we're looking in here this is uh this is a good setup anyway but um do this in yeah swallow wow first off fuck you I'm going to spit so you help you I ain't a spitter this food's too good to be spitting out all right three two you did to yourself and you called me a ho you did that to yourself did I or did you say it without just saying it look man I don't give a fuck hey Latino heat you know I'm not Latino but uh Jesus Christ matter fact sexual chocolate you should I could have went with that I mean alright three two one hey guys if you're enjoying the video so far thank you so much and if you can please leave us a like or even a comment it helps out the channel so much damn I don't even know what's nice you could you you could say anything you know I'm saying well actually uh um actually I'll leave you depart with say hey it helps us out the channel so much so I'll just focus on is hey if you're liking the content so uh if you're liking the content currently please leave a like and a comment and you can go into yeah actually it helps out the channel so much it gets more eyes on the product. Okay yeah we can do that yeah right because I'll do and I'll do the I'll do the and uh and now now back to the video okay yeah that's okay all right so three two one hey guys thank you so much for watching let me do that again because it doesn't give me a chance to do that too soon so three two one hey guys if you like the video so far please go ahead and hit a like on the video let me do that again because I didn't do it right all right so three two one hey guys if you're liking the video so far please go ahead and hit a like on the fuck please go ahead give us a like not hit the like go ahead and give us a like excuse me all right three look it's me fucking up it's manic moment all over again it's manic moments all over again so three two one hey guys if you're liking the content so far go ahead leave us a like and if anything leave us a comment in the comment section as well also don't forget to subscribe because it helps us out puts us in the algorithm gets more eyes on the content we can come up with better things absolutely appreciate you so much for watching the video now back to the video all right um but yeah no there's there's all of that but I do like this episode it was real fun it was just it was it it kind of goes back to the original concept of not always having to have a topic and we just end up creating some shit and I think that's the beautiful nature of our dynamic especially as podcasters but too if we do commentary we'll find shit to talk about oh we gonna we're gonna always talk about some shit even though wrestling is shit right now um listen that's why I was like well I was really thinking last night before I went to bed and when I woke up today I was like they ain't should talk about it because like usually if I'm gonna talk about something in wrestling I want it's gonna be something that like if I can remember it then I'm like alright that should maybe that's worth talking about but it's like I sat there and I'm like man I watched all this wrestling this week and nothing's jumping out at me.
SPEAKER_00Fuck I guess we'll just be shooting shit today.
