Weeks later, he seeks help in Dodge City, where Matt Dillon and Chester initially doubt his innocence. Obie then meets Ella, a charming woman who quickly becomes his wife—only for Matt to suspect her true motives. When the outlaws return to kill Obie, violence erupts, loyalties fracture, and Ella’s last-minute remorse proves costly. The episode closes on a somber truth: Obie did have gold, but all he wanted was a simple life.
