I've been around homeopathy for most of my life, but it wasn't until about 10 years ago that I truly began exploring it for myself.
The remedy Staphysagria came into my life during my postpartum season, and I found it profoundly healing. If you've ever experienced homeopathy working when the right remedy matches the person, you know the feeling. Once you witness it, it's hard not to become fascinated.
Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed in 1796 by German physician Samuel Hahnemann. By the late 1800s, it was widely practiced in the United States, with its own medical schools and hospitals. Although it declined after major changes to medical education in the early 1900s, it never disappeared. Today, it continues to be used around the world and remains especially popular throughout much of Europe.
At our house, homeopathy is our first stop for many everyday illnesses and injuries. I've shared my love of homeopathy with anyone willing to listen, often helping friends and family find a remedy for a stomachache, an injury, or whatever challenge they were facing. And, as many of you know, I've been known to get calls at all hours of the day and night that sound something like:
"Theresa, can you help me choose a remedy and bring it over?"
It has become an important part of how we care for ourselves and the people we love.
Jenna Dodge has been our family's homeopath for years and has guided us through countless health challenges with wisdom, knowledge, and compassion. I still remember the first time I traveled without my daughter. One of the first things she asked for was Jenna's phone number. That says everything about the trust we've built with her.
We truly love Jenna in this house.
Join Jenna and me as we dive into one of our favorite subjects: homeopathy. Whether you're completely new to it or have been using it for years, I hope this conversation sparks curiosity, expands your perspective, and reminds you that there are many paths to healing.
Welcome to the Good with Tricia G. Every season begins and ends here in Montana. But between those moments, who knows where we'll go? Together, we'll explore conversations that invite us to see ourselves, each other, and this beautiful human experience a little differently. We'll talk about healing, relationships, purpose, consciousness, and nature, and what it means to live a more connected life. Some conversations may challenge what we think we know. Others may remind us of something we've always known deep down. My hope is that each episode leaves us with something tangible: a new perspective, a seat of possibility, a spark of curiosity, or simply a reminder that there is goodness all around us if we're willing to look for it. Thank you so much for being here. Today's guest is someone incredibly special to me, Jenna Dodge. She's a founder of the Project Homeopathy. She's a 2019 graduate of the prestigious Academy of Homeopathy Education in Philadelphia, a full-time program with more than 1,000 hours of didactic and clinical training. She went on to become certified by the Council for Homeopathy or Homeopathic Certification and or wait, you got certified for your certification in 2020. And she's been practicing homeopathy full-time since graduating in the summer of 2019. And besides her credentials, Jenna is one of my very good friends. She's you've been one of my real estate clients, and of course, uh she's my family's homeopath. And I think you've been my family's homeopath like before you even graduated, like when you were doing clinic clinical hours. Yeah. Yeah. Quite possible. Yeah. So she she's literally saved my well, assisted my family through some really crazy um illnesses and just issues. And she's the first person we call when one of us has something wrong. So I'm so excited to and to have her today. She also hiked up a mountain with me and got sweaty, and here we are in this gorgeous Montana place. So thank you. You're welcome. I'm excited. Thanks for having me. I'm excited to be here. Um so tell me, what is what started your interest in homeopathy?
SPEAKER_03So that goes way back, um probably to about when I had kids, my first child. And I heard about homeopathy through our naturopath, but my first experience was actually that it didn't really do anything and I had didn't even know what it was. And then fast forward about five years later, and my oldest was dealing with some um digestive complaints. He was also pretty speech delayed. He was in speech therapy for several years. Um he was almost five at the time. And three it's his birthday today. Yes. He's 16. That's right. Yeah. So happy birthday. And he uh three different people, you know, it was on the internet, Facebook groups and whatnot, trying to get some some help for my kiddo. Three different people suggested I try homeopathy. And if three different people suggest something.
SPEAKER_00And that's random too, because a lot like homeopathy isn't like common usage in like the everyday person.
SPEAKER_03Right. Yeah. So I decided to hire a homeopath, and we went through the whole questionnaire, long appointment, and she suggested a remedy, and I gave it to him, and the first thing I noticed is that he started speaking like a lot, and everybody people could understand him, not just mom. And so, and then of course his digestive complaints w did improve, and so I was like, Whoa.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, wow. What is this? Yeah. So from was that like immediate or was it like after many doses?
SPEAKER_03Um, it was pretty immediate. I mean, it was within a week. Within uh, I think the speech it really felt like overnight.
SPEAKER_00Now I don't know how long looking back, but I mean, but honestly, that's how homeopathy works. It does feel like overnight.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. And so I dove in and I started learning about the homeopathy for acute usage, where you don't always necessarily need somebody to help you, though it can definitely be useful. And I just I I had I had I was on the path of going towards um going to h naturopathic medical school, but for various reasons I had to put that on pause. And so I decided to jump in to homeopathy. And it took me a few years to be able to start the program.
SPEAKER_00And in that time I I mean, and you're being like, she does have four kids. So that might have been the reason why you didn't go to. Yeah. I mean, at the time I only had two, but okay.
SPEAKER_03Um, yeah. But by the time you graduated, you had four. That's right. Yeah. I had my fourth in homeopathy school. Yeah, I remember.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. So um I do want to point out though that um homeopathy can work so quickly. Like literally, I've had a moment uh like when my daughter had COVID and I was texting Jenna nonstop, and I was like, Well, I think I'm just gonna take her to the hospital. And then I was like, My daughter, but she's actually doesn't want to get in the car because she's so dizzy. And that was actually help help Jenna say, Oh my gosh, you should try this remedy before you get in the car. And my daughter had been sick for like 10 days, and she took that remedy, and literally five minutes later, she hadn't eaten for 10 days, and she was like, Oh mom, I'm hungry. And it was just like done. So that's the magic of homeopathy, is it really can work that quickly sometimes, yeah, and sometimes not. It just depends. For sure. Yeah, but when a remedy is right on, it's it is sort of magical in that sense. Yeah, yeah, sure. And you've experienced that, I'm sure, over and over again. Yes. So your your son inspired you to be a homeopath, and then so how was the training? It was good.
SPEAKER_03So I did a two-year full-time program. I transferred in after six months or you know, half a year, because um I had started at another program, but then I found that the AHE Academy of Homeopathy Education was online full-time, two days a week, and then of course, you know, homework and whatnot. And that just fit my schedule. The other program I was at, which I loved, you really had to travel, they did weekends, and you could join remotely, but it just wasn't the same. Whereas AHE, like everybody was online. Um that's helpful. So it's it's just different, and so I did that. Um, and then of course, there's two full days of class, and then you have the clinical training outside of that, where we watch other people take cases, other students, the teachers, we analyze them, we just learn from doing awesome. And that was how long ago was that? That was like a two-year? That was a two-year, so I finished summer of 2019. Um, so I did that um 2017, 18, 19.
SPEAKER_00Wow. Now I sort of jumped right into homeopathy, but what about the people who don't know? For those of you guys who have no idea, you're like, what are you guys even talking about? Can you um explain what homeopathy is?
SPEAKER_03Sure. So homeopathy is a system of medicine that actually came from Germany. A lot of people think it's an Eastern medicine, but it's very Western. Yeah. Um, and it's based on the law of similar. So that is if a substance can give you symptoms uh if when taken in a toxic dose, and then it can cure or remove those symptoms when taken in very small doses. And that's one key of homeopathy is that we use very small dilute doses. But that but really homeopathy, the word means similar suffering, homeo similar pathy, pathology, you know, suffering. And so um it's really comes down to the law of similars and it's about how we select medicines. So in other forms of medicine, you know, we're all familiar with antibiotics, antivirals, antipyretics, fever reducers. Those are trying to work against the body and and you know, kill bacteria, kill viruses, reduce the heat. And and our view is that, well, not only is the heat really trying to help you, um, to some extent, you don't want, you don't want to just get rid of the fever. Yes, you want to get rid of the fever so somebody is better, but you don't want to get rid of it at the expense of what their body's trying to do. So we look at the symptoms a person has, and we when we say symptoms, yes, it's the fever, it's the the headache, but it's more than that. It's what what triggers your symptoms, what makes them worse. What's unique about your flu versus my flu? If we both have the flu, how are you experiencing it versus how am I? Because we don't just have one remedy for the flu.
SPEAKER_00I mean, there's how many remedies? There's unlimited remedies. Yeah, there's because you can even make remedies.
SPEAKER_03You can even make remedies, but uh there is about um, you know, a few hundred really more common remedies. Or if you go to your local health food store, there's maybe a hundred. You know, those are gonna be the polycrusts, the ones that can cover many, many uses versus the smaller remedies that might be more specific.
SPEAKER_00I think that's maybe one of the things that we should talk about is it's hard for people the way that um you di homeopathics don't really diagnose ever. So they're not gonna say, oh, you have a flu or you have autoimmune or anything like that. And they and like you were saying, it's all about the your personal symptoms and what makes it better or worse. So there's never any sort of like you're not given a label of any sort, and then to be able to start really recognizing and analyzing, oh, I really do feel worse if I drink a cold glass of water. And is that hard for people at the beginning to be able to start observing in that place?
SPEAKER_03Yes, it is really hard. And another thing that's challenging is especially for a chronic complaint, a lot of times we forget what makes us worse because we've just we've come to stop doing those things. You know, we've coped by no longer drinking cold water. Now we prefer at room temperature. But why is that? It's much easier, it's still challenging for people, but it is a little easier within acute. You know, we all have that thing where, oh, we know we're getting sick because suddenly we want tea and we never want tea, or suddenly orange juice tastes terrible, or whatever it might be. Um, it is more difficult for chronics because, like I said, people just have learned to live with their symptoms and they forget, you know, ultimately health is freedom in your body to do what you were put here on earth to do. Yes, it is. And if there's but we've just we just adapt and we we're I mean humans are amazing people.
SPEAKER_00The body is so amazing, right?
SPEAKER_03And we can get away with a lot and we can just learn to live with a lot, but ultimately you really should have freedom to do whatever it is you want to do and not have to think about the vessels that we live in.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00And just live our very best, best lives. So, can you explain the difference between acute and chronic? Because that is a big difference. Um, like if you want to work with a homeopath, you should understand those differences.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So an acute illness is something that you will get over, it will end shortly, whether or not you do anything. Um but we so examples are like any first aid situation, trauma, accident, and then you know, flus, um, food poisoning, just headaches that aren't chronic, that don't recur all the time, but just a headache from you know, sun exposure, something like that, um, overindulgence. So anything that is very short-lived and you will get over it, it will end. Um, but homeopathy can help you get over it more quickly and be better on the other side. Um, chronic, oh, and then the other thing with acutes is usually you can tie it to a point in time where this is when it came on. I either ate too much rich food or I got chilled, or I don't even know why, but all of a sudden I felt really, really bad, like very suddenly. Chronics, um, they creep up on us over time. A lot of times we don't even think we have chronic symptoms. Um, if you don't if people don't have a diagnosis, they don't see a doctor regularly, they might think that they don't really have anything chronically happening. Um, but most people do have chronic symptoms of some sort. Um, it could be skin, anything skin-related other than like a poison ivy rash, um, would be chronic. The skin, the body is trying to heal itself by pushing things out through the skin, it's our largest organ of elimination. Um, recurring headaches, anything that recurs would be chronic. So hay fever is an example. You can also kind of treat that acutely and um and see some benefit too, but it's much better to treat it chronically. Um and yeah, just and then of course, anything that has a diagnosis from the doctor, like autoimmune disorders, anything like that would of course be considered chronic.
SPEAKER_00And I I started using homeopathy pretty uh like about 10 10 years ago when they were throwing uh the MS diagnosis around for me, and I tried I didn't I was so sensitive at that point I knew I couldn't take any prescriptions, so I started looking outside of the box and um I started using homeopathy or I started looking into homeopathy and I didn't have any idea what it was, and I remember I like was taking some homeopathic, like taking like it every few hours, and I got all these bumps on my stomach, like like big welts, and I was like, and I didn't I didn't correlate it to the homeopathic, but one thing about homeopathy is understanding it's a minimum dose, which I think is so hard in our society because everyone's like, oh, you gotta take it every morning, or you have to take it three times a day or every three hours. And then can you explain the minimum dose?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so the minimum dose just means you need the smallest amount possible to get an effect. Some people do need it every day, especially for a chronic thing at a low potency. Um, some people do better with a single dose of a high potency, so the potency is related to how it's made. Um, we can get into that, but the higher the number, the higher the potency. Um, and generally the deeper acting it will be. But a lot of people I find kind of have a potency sweet spot that they love that really works well for them.
SPEAKER_00Interesting. Yeah. Is that like energetically that they or uh why would that be?
SPEAKER_03Just everyone's so different, or yeah, and also potency can also relate to your vitality, but I think people are just different. I mean, yeah, the the posology or dosing is a lot more of where the art comes in.
SPEAKER_00Because when we first started working together, I was so sensitive that I could literally um just like put think about a remedy or put they there's this thing called water transfer, but I would never really take the full remedy. Do you remember that? And I had to be on the like the lowest dose, and now I can take a higher dose. Like now she's like, You could you can take a higher dose. And I'm like, Yes, I could take a higher dose. But it's been like a whole journey because of my um constitution was so low, and that's a whole nother story, but um and it and ultimately it was because I was living in mold, you know, that was really just like taking my whole constitution down and my strength of my body. But as I've healed from that, we can handle more. So that's another another whole thing. But the whole the story about my stomach bumps is that um you don't take you take homeopathy like when you're feeling your symptoms coming back. There's no real like, well, she might say, like you you sometimes say, like, take for every six hours for the first two days or 24 hours and let's see, or take three times. But um, like if you do if you're just using homeopathy, it's not something that you just want to take over and over again because it actually will give you the symptoms that it needs to, that it's healing, which I've experienced small multiple times.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, if you take too much, it's with acute with acute illnesses, especially, you can almost think of it like a pendulum, like like imagine a pendulum and it gets stuck over here, and that's you in acute illness. So what we want to do, we're not gonna throw the pendulum back because it's like stuck on like a branch or something. You want to push the pendulum further along the way it was going, and then it'll come back naturally. So that's one way you can think about how a homeopathic remedy can can help you heal.
SPEAKER_00What is the one of the mis uh what is like the most misunderstood thing about homeopathy? It's just people who don't use it.
SPEAKER_03Um gosh. Well, I think one of the most misunderstood things is that there's nothing in the remedies because research has shown that there are nanoparticles. That there is something. So explain that though. So when they make the remedy. Yeah. Um, so when they make the remedy, they take the so we could take a flower and they're gonna make a tincture. So this would be if it was uh an herb, which a lot of the the the substances they use are gonna be plants. So they make a tincture and then they dilute that tincture um in either a one to ten ratio or a one to one hundred. Um and usually it's one to one hundred, so that's for the C potency. So if you go to the store and you see like Arnica 30C, they they have gone through this dilution serially. So they take this the tincture, one drop to a hundred drops of of alcohol, they succuss it, so they're adding physical energy into the vial, they take one drop of that with a hundred drops of alcohol, and they do it again. So that's serial dilution and succussion, um, which is potenciation, so adding potency. Um and research has shown that when they do that, um, they did this with various metals. Um they can you can take a dilution, 30 C or higher, even and put it in a spectrometer in a chemistry lab, and you will get the um the signature of whatever the metal is. So it's still reading that there is that metal.
SPEAKER_00Because there's that it's such a small diluted, because then people might get worried. Because like that's the other thing is people are like, don't worry, I know this is a poison, like it's our synacum, but uh there's nothing left. So then how do you explain that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so that is one of the funny things is people will the the world, people will simultaneously say that there's nothing in it and it's poisonous, and it's like, which is it? Yeah, which is it?
SPEAKER_01Which is it?
SPEAKER_03And so, well, the truth is that all of our pharmaceutical medicines are are poison, they come from poison. So the difference between a poison and a medicine is just the dose. And people have no problem lining up for material dose. Well, I mean, some people have some people have problems lining up for material doses of medicine, but most people don't. And um, and they're in much higher potencies. Much higher, much higher than the medicine. I mean you say material medicines, just for um antibiotics, okay um you know, heart medications. Yeah. Um actually some of the same substances are used in modern like Western medicine, just traditional, what we think in the US is modern medicine and homeopathy, but they're in much different doses. And uh a lot of times the they will do the opposite thing. Um, because again, when you take a substance in material dose, you eat some arsenic, don't recommend, you will get symptoms. No, don't do that. And then those symptoms that you get, if you were to then take arsenicum album in potency, it would have actually cure your symptoms, you'd get rid of your symptoms. And so the what a substance does when you take it depends on the dose. Um you can actually use herbal medicine homeopathically by doing drop dosing, and that can work for certain people, or if you if that's all you have is, you know, a tincture, golden seal tincture, you can use that. Um and still be doing homeopathy because homeopathy is based on the law of similar, so it's all about how you select your medicine. But I definitely prefer, and that's one of the reasons I love homeopathy. I don't really love tinctures.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03And she really doesn't. Yeah. And so I much prefer to take uh medicine that's on a little sugar pill, or you can dilute it in water. You don't have to take it with the sugar. Um, but it is also really nice for kids. I mean, it's very difficult to get kids to take herbal medicine. Mm hmm.
SPEAKER_00It's very easy to get them to take a little sugar. 'Cause it takes our in the water 'cause it doesn't taste like anything. Yeah. Um so one of the biggest uh discussions about homeopathy is that there's nothing left in the remedy. Um and so then it's just like energy or or what is it and can you sort of talk to that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, sure. So like I said, it could be nanoparticles. There's evidence suggests there's nanoparticles. Um so it's not really nothing. At lower potencies, there is something. So if you are like a six B or six X, the X's. The X's have and a lot of the combination remedies you get have are in the X potency, six X-ish. Um and you know, our hormones work on an extremely diluted basis, so we don't need I mean, why use a sledgehammer when a little tiny hammer can do the trick? Um so the nobody really fully that I'm aware of fully understands the mechanism of action of homeopathy, but what we do have is over 200 years of clinical evidence. So the way, uh we didn't touch on this, but the way homeopathy was created, um, I'll dive into the history a little bit. Um so Samuel Hahnemann was a he's the founder of homeopathy. He was a doctor in the late 1700s to early 1800s. Uh well, he was a doctor in those 1700s, and he was so disillusioned with medicine because they were bloodletting, they were using crude doses of mercury, he felt like he was doing more harm than good. And he quit. And he was brilliant and spoke many languages, so he started doing um translating medical texts for work, and he was translating uh William Collins' uh Materia Medica, treaties on Materia Medica, and he had an aha moment where he was reading about uh this is how I understand it. I wasn't there. He was reading about the That's that 200 years ago. Yeah. He was reading about the um symptoms of malaria, and then he was, or writing really, translating, and he was translating uh well he knew about the symptoms of malaria, and he was translating the Materia Medica on um cinchona bark, which was used for malaria treatment. And it said that the reason it worked is because it's a bitter substance. And he thought, huh, there's a lot of bitter substances out there. I don't think that's really why this works. And he noticed that the poisoning symptoms, the symptoms from taking taking too much, um could look like malaria. And then he decided to test it on himself. And he took that's brave, he took cinchona, bark, and recorded his symptoms, and that was the first proving. So that's what we call it. It's a proving when you take the substance and you record your symptoms. Nowadays they do provings, but with homeopathic. Yeah. Yeah. But he proved um somewhere around a hundred remedies in his time throughout, and he he lived to be in his 80s. Um, and he but he proved several remedies. He recruited other doctors um to prove these remedies, and then essentially they would write down their symptoms, they would have this reference of the symptoms, and then they started treating people. They would see people who had these particular symptoms, they'd give them the substance, and at first they were doing material doses, but very small. And then over time it evolved to be what it is today. And so that over 200 years ago, even with the first proving, and then subsequently with treating patients and recording their cures, that's how we know that homeopathy works. And we have these references references today that are very thorough, and we know very, very well what remedies can have a long history of helping people with what symptoms.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, yes, you guys have such a database now. And proving, so the idea of proving is that you're getting all the symptoms, but the idea also is that once you if you prove things, it's actually strengthening your constitution or your all vo overall makeup. So real life um recording in nature is that it stopped recording, so I don't know how it will all go, but we'll get it figured out with editing. Um, and we just had a great conversation, but we were talking about um the energy and the suppression. So suppression, you'll hear that a lot in homeopathy, this idea of suppressing your symptoms. And to me, it's sort of almost in everything in life, it's so much bigger at this point because you we're learning that we have to let everything sort of feel it and move through. There's no suppressing. Suppressing causes disease. So with um with emotions, with feelings, with processes, with whatever it is. But with homeopathy, um, the actual idea is with medicine that you can suppress the disease.
SPEAKER_03Um, or so well with homeopathy, you don't want to suppress the disease. Right. Right.
SPEAKER_00So can you go into that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so homeopathy, because the medicine works, triggers the body. We're kind of talking about the vital force and how the remedies are dynamic, they're energetic. They they're that's where the word Hanuman uses a dynamic. Um, they are able to communicate with your vital force, which is also dynamic, and trigger healing. And then your body does the healing, and your body does not suppress. Like the body is always trying to eliminate, eliminate toxins. You know, we have a built-in detox system in our body, um, the liver and kidneys, and then also our skin is our greatest organ of elimination. And so we do see, you know, a lot of people suffer from skin problems, and that's just the body trying to heal itself. So we want to avoid that suppression.
SPEAKER_00Um Well, you talk about how it's documented that people with like eczema that sort of use antibiotics or steroids will get.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. Yeah, there's a known link between um, there's a cool bird up there. Oh yeah, there's a bird flying above us. Oh, just saying hello.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, there is a link between people, um, children with eczema who then go on to get asthma later in life. Um, and the hypothesis is uh, you know, looking at it from a homeopathic point of view, we understand that suppressing the eczema, because most people do, you know, put steroid cream on the eczema to help it feel better because it's very uncomfortable. Um and that can, you know, it's interesting to see that that kind of suppression of symptoms, the symptoms will pop up later as something arguably worse, right? So the skin, we have lots of skin. It's a very safe place for the body to eliminate, exactly. And um uh it's a safer place for the body to eliminate than um than somewhere else, and driving it into a you know, a deeper organ, such as the lungs, and maybe there's some mucus, and they're trying to c they're trying to eliminate that way, coughing up um mucus. And so ultimately, if you continue driving disease deeper and deeper, um, you know, you're gonna affect more vital organs, the brain. Um, we start to see, you know, you can see mental mental illness, mental symptoms from suppressing physical symptoms for a long time. So that was uh definitely something to be concerned about. And as you heal through true healing methods, um, I'm not gonna say homeopathy is the only true healing method, but and that's a good homeopath. That's what a good homeopath says. Yeah. Um, but as you heal, you what might see your symptoms, your if you have some physical complaints, we want to see them go from deeper organs to more um to less vital organs, right? It's actually not a bad thing to see a skin rash come up because again, that's the the body's safe place to eliminate um coughing up mucus, all sorts of dis discharges, mucus, um, you know, anything like that. Um, that's actually can be a really great sign of healing and also moving from I like to say from core, that might go back to when I was a crossfitter. And we talked about core to extremity movement, but the same thing with healing, if you do have a rash, you want to see it go from a more central location to more distal, because again, that's a safer place. Um, so uh we also sometimes through healing you can see your symptoms kind of retrace in reverse order that they came on. So if now you suffer from migraines, but you used to have um skin problems, then if you if your headaches are better and then your old rash comes back, that's actually a good sign. That's a really good sign. Yeah. So healings can sometimes be unsuppressing, quite literally.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Which makes and again, it makes complete sense because we now know, like, if you have a traumatic childhood and you don't do the work, that you might get some physical symptoms or you might have some emotional symptoms that follow you for your lifetime until you sort of let all that come out and or process and then release. So it makes complete sense in like all the ways, really. And then um another thing that we had just talked about that we're just gonna review is that both of us um we Jenna will I've worked with her with uh one issue where she was like, you need to take the antibiotic. And both of us very strongly believe that we should be using anything that's accessible to us if needed. It just that homeopathy is my go-to. Oops, sorry, Mike, my go-to and your go-to because it works so well. So I can always start with homeopathy and be open to whatever um is needed for whatever the scenario is, but usually it's gone by with homeopathy. So um we definitely there is no like black or white with what medicine is best or what um you know where where what's gonna heal us. But with me, I've had so much success with homeopathy for my whole family that it's my go-to. Yeah. And she'll be the first to tell you, you know, well, you know, go talk to your doctor.
SPEAKER_03So yeah. For sure. And, you know, I'm on the same page where I try to avoid, especially antibiotics. You know, there is a real concern with antibiotic resistance over usage. And there are some studies actually showing that homeopathy for childhood ear infections, which is very common. That's one of the more common places.
SPEAKER_00And we had an ear infection and we had homeopathy got rid of it in like two days.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and so there are some there are some studies out there showing with certain things that you know, homeopathy will work better, just as good or better than an antibiotic. And so I do think that it's important to know we can use everything that's available to us, but also there are sometimes depending on the situation, and this is where too, like it is helpful to go have your ear looked at and have a doctor say, This is oh, it's not too bad, or oh, that's really bad.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Um and we do that at my house. So we'll go to the doctor and we'll get a diagnosis and then we will move from there. But you know it's bad when Jenna tells you to take a antibiotic. I'm like, the doctor gave me a home antibiotics. She's like, Yeah, and you're gonna take the antibiotic and we're gonna get you on some homeopathics. And that was one of my two that tooth thing, remember? Yes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I was trying to remember, I was like You're like, when have I ever said that? And that is because that's again, there's very close to your brain. Yeah. You don't want to mess around.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, she lectured me about it. And I took it, and I'm fine, you know, but um that's a very rare thing in my house where we get to that level. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Talking about energy and how, you know, basically we want to be moving energy through us, there's no suppression. We we had this interesting conversation over lunch one day about the consciousness of humanity and how that sort of uh works with homeopathy. And I just want you to talk about it because it was literally a moment where I'm like, oh my gosh, this is like we could talk about this for hours. Um, do you remember that conversation? I vaguely, I don't really remember what I said exactly. You were saying like that humanity um we all we we have a consciousness that um sort of creates what we need. And so, and you were actually talking about with like disease, like epidemics. Epidemics, yeah. So can you talk about that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so on an individual level, um we I do think that our bodies like we're very energy sensitive, and our bodies I think can also create symptoms. Like if we really need a remedy, our body can create symptoms that will help point us towards that remedy. Um, almost like the body's asking for a remedy and you're not listening. So I give you subtle symptoms, and now I'm gonna give you another symptom. I'm gonna, you know, give you an acute, I'm gonna give you a flu-like illness that will cause you to give yourself that remedy. That's that's something that I've observed because there are times when, and I've heard many stories throughout my training of um individuals who really maybe chronically even they needed a certain remedy because of emotional behavior, all sorts of things, and they just never got it until their body finally came down with an acute, and then they got the remedy, and then their whole life changed chronically too.
SPEAKER_00Fascinatingly too. Fascinating.
SPEAKER_03Um and so there is an idea with homeopathy, so there's there's epidemics that happen, you know, flu often. Um, and with in homeopathy, there's something called the genus epidemicus, which is the remedy that kind of fits the overall picture of like the flu everybody's getting that year. It could be any illness, but you know, most people think of the flu when we think of epit or other illnesses when we think of epidemics. And there is an idea that collectively, if collectively as a society, we all need a certain remedy that it can cause like we might see an epidemic come out where the genus epidemicus is that remedy. Now, the trouble is not enough people I don't think use homeopathy.
SPEAKER_02True that.
SPEAKER_03It's growing though. It's growing, yeah. Yeah, because people are wanting to take control of their health, especially in the last six years. They are less trustful, I think, of um going to the hospital, um, going to see doctors. They want to they want to be heard too, and I think that's one beautiful thing about homeopathy is like we really listen.
SPEAKER_00It's so true. Like you you when you first meet, you're meeting for like an hour and a half or more or longer because they are getting to know every part of you. It's like looking at the whole system in a way that I haven't seen any other medicine look at. Um and and you know, it's a very in-depth intake.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. And so and that, and once you you can gain a certain level of proficiency with an acute remedy kit and really feel empowered. And that's one thing, you know, I have a course teaching homeopathy for acutes. Um and people enjoy that because then they feel empowered to um take care of their families, and and of course, they might need a homeopath. It's always great to have a family homeopath, and I definitely recommend that. But there are you can reach a certain level of proficiency just from practice and understanding and studying, and then maybe having the homeopath help you, and then trying to figure out what you think your child needs or you need, and then comparing notes with the homeopath, you know, learning from trial and error in that regard as well. Yeah. So I think a lot of people are are kind of waking up to that um and just just wanting to take control.
SPEAKER_00I mean, after using homeopathy for 10 years, like very, very much, you know, all for all the illnesses in my house, all the things. I mean, I don't think anyone's really taken ibuprofen in my family. Like maybe I could count on my hands in the last 10 years, uh, because we really do lean in um to homeopathy uh so much. But I'm what my point is is that um I'm like a mini, I'm like a mini homeopath, so now I don't have to call her as much. Like because she's you know, I remember our different scenarios and what she used, and I also have my own book, and I've taken her class and I've taken other classes. So it does give you empowerment. And one great thing though is that I have travel kits and you can get them from Jenna. Um, and I mean I'm a little much with my travel kits, like I have a hundred, I have the hundred, or is it fifty?
SPEAKER_03It's probably fifty.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's a 50 travel kit, and like I I don't know, I have them all, but um you can travel and then you have this medicine, and I've had I've called her like from all over the world.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, oh my gosh, I need like I'm literally yeah.
SPEAKER_00I I even called you like at the airport when my ear wasn't on clog, or I was like having terrible after COVID, my ears were affected. And so she was like there. And so there is that great convenience too. Uh once you have a really good homeopath, um, and you can like message them, you know, and and uh yeah, it's like a consult, but it's a really quick consult because they get to know your constitution really well. And um, I think after working with us for so long, you know us pretty well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. So that's really cool. What is one of the most amazing um things you've seen healed? Or yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so there's a lot, but one of my favorites was a family. Um this was actually um way back. This was when I was still in clinical training. Actually, a family uh came to me for help. They had they were fostering a child. I've actually helped many foster families. That's really wonderful. Um, and they uh they were fostering and trying to adopt this child. They did adopt her, but um, she had recurring ear infections, and they were, you know, when you're in the foster system, you don't you're kind of you don't really have control. Like you kind of have to do what the doctor says. Yeah. And they were really trying to hold off on tubes in their ears. This child had a very traumatic life. She was only one. And I she was telling me about her child, and I heard her say, I mean, she was telling me that her baby would um stay in her crib all day. She would never make a sound. She'd go, like the mom would have to go in the morning and get her be and so was surprised that she was up. She would never ask for her diaper to be changed, she would never ask for her nose to be wiped. Oh. And we took that into consideration, of course, and like what her first year of life was like. Yeah. And we gave her a remedy, and the very next day she cried out to her mom, her foster mom from the crib. It was amazing. And so as she just changed, she started being a normal kid. It's like the trauma she had experienced was gone, essentially. And so um, that was really wonderful, and just an example of how quickly homeopathy can work on that mental, emotional.
SPEAKER_00To be honest, I don't even remember what happened with the ear infections, but it you know, it probably dissipated because again, it's the whole idea of things externally going internally, right? And so once you can release that, like I imagine that once she could use her voice that um for her needs, her whole life changed. Yeah, and and her body.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm sure they went away, or we would have, you know, we would have kept working on it until they did. But lots of uh lots of cases like that. I mean, I love working with children, especially, but all I mean, I love working with people of all ages.
SPEAKER_00And she's really good at with children too, so it's really convenient. Also, I think I find homeopathy more convenient for kids because it's always like Friday night. They get sick, yeah, you know, and then you can like put in a appointment with her on the weekend as long as she's like in town. And if not, you have your whole crew.
SPEAKER_03She has it's just me now. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But anyways, so she can um it's so convenient because you can make an appointment with her and she gives you the remedy on Saturday morning. You don't have to wait till the doctors get there and let the whatever it is progress. Um if you have a kit, you yeah, it's depending on what's gonna be. Everyone needs a kit. Yeah, for sure. Like just call Jenna, get a kit. I honestly get remember when I bought all those kits to give to everyone. I was like, if you don't have a kit, then you are not living life. Like we have got to have a kit, people. And now that all those people call me and they're like, which one should I take?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, so once you have a kit, it makes life so much easier, I think, for sure. And I have to say, for me, I have had I've we my family and I have had so amazing, so many amazing healing um moments. So many. Um, but one of the very significant ones was that I was getting um I had shingles in my mouth for a year. It was at the roof of my mouth, and it was At first it was just horrific for like two months, and then it would go back, go away, and come back at every time I had my period. And um I got a remedy, and I this is after a year of suffering, and I don't even want anyone to ever have shingles in their mouth, like it's just this whole neuro neurological like nerves, and it was really affecting my life. And um, I took one dose of I think a 12C, so that's a really low dose. I don't know if that I think that was before we found the mold, but um, and it got rid of the shingles in my mouth. I've never had shingles again. That was one dose.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And the low potency is can really wild. Yeah, they can work. I mean, I've I have some, you know, as a homeopath, I'm like the cobbler's kids. Like sometimes I'm like just he really is. And I I had a back some back pain that I think was emotional, slash also sitting in my chair too long. And I was like, oh, to next tomorrow it'll be better, tomorrow it'll be better. It never was never better, and so I finally, well, this is like a week, not a year, but I finally was like, Well, I'm just gonna take Roosex because it's helped with that before. And I just grabbed what I had out on my bedside table, probably from the last time I took it. Six C, one dose, and I was a hundred percent better the next day. I was like, why did it take me so long? You know, even as like people we know. Um, but I think part of that is also for me, anyway, is I always want to give my body a chance.
SPEAKER_00She's always wanting to give her whole family's body a chance, right? And uh, I'm more like, let's nip this in the bud. Either way's good. Yeah, exactly. Sometimes I call her so soon, she's like, wait, you only have a cough? That was the old days though. Yeah. More, yeah. But um, yeah, so if people, I would definitely suggest call Jenna, have her on your health team. She's really changed me and my family's health. And she's just such a great um, it's great advocate and wisdom to it bring into your uh health your health team. So if people want to work with you, how do they reach you? How does that work?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so Project Homeopathy.com is my website. And you can reach out there, Jenna at projecthomeopathy.com and um reach out and let me know where you heard about me. I always like to know that, and I'd be happy to. We I do a free call with anybody who wants to chat. Um, you can book an acute. You don't have to be a chronic client to book an acute. You can just do that online, and I do those 365 days a year unless I'm, you know, out of internet service. I just hiking up a mountain somewhere, and I'm happy to chat with people about homeopathy to see if it's something they would like to do.
SPEAKER_00Well, thank you for climbing this mountain with me. Thank you for inviting me. And thank you for, you know, um walking this road of helping moms and people really heal their innate innately. It's been such a powerful thing to work with you. And I know that you're working in a a field that is not um well known and can be questioned and judged, but you've continued to carry that torch, and you're carrying that torch honestly for all of us. And I just really thank you for all of your help over the years and for helping people heal so they can live their best life. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_03That was fun. That was fun. Wow, we should do this every day, right? Let's do it.
