SPEAKER_03

Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to another episode of Harry. Sorry I'm late, a Harry Potter podcast. It's Mikoda.

SPEAKER_02

And it's me, Alicia.

SPEAKER_03

And baby, we are back. This is the most funniest season return that we've had so far. When I tell you the powers that be, whether it be the Dark Lord, the Mercury retrograde that just ended, Donald Trump, uh Global Warming, Elon Musk. Like everyone is trying to stop your boy and your girl from recording this damn episode. And we said we are going to persevere. The people are waiting, anticipating.

SPEAKER_02

We're here. And can I just say, audience, y'all have held it down with these numbers? I'm like, Coda, the people are listening if I'm just posting. The numbers.

SPEAKER_00

Like, thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you guys for keeping tuned in, even if we clocked out.

SPEAKER_03

I'm screaming. We were on our summer vacation, not with the Derseys, but enjoying our lives. But that's kind of what I was hoping for when I was like, I was like, okay, while we're away, it'll give people time to catch up on the episodes if they fall behind. Because sometimes when you listen to a podcast and you know your life gets busy and you start falling behind and you just fall off completely, or you're just like, oh, I'll just listen to the most recent one. But since ours is kind of a progression as we move our way through the books, sometimes the breaks are nice so people can have time to catch up and listen to the episodes that they've you know fallen behind on, or if they're reading along with us, they can read and catch up all the things. And then it also allows for new listeners to find the podcast and have time to also catch up in that way too. I mean, we got a listener email that of someone that had just finished listening to our chamber of secrets season. So they're now starting their prisoner of Azkaban. So they still got a little bit of ways to go, but it still gives them a little bit of time. So that was really cool. But yeah, some days it'll be just be a day's, and then we'll just look at the numbers and it'll be like an absorbent amount of people just that have just been listening on a random day. Like, where do all these people come from?

SPEAKER_00

So I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Hopefully, yeah. Yes, yes. So hopefully you guys send us an Instagram DM or send us an email letting us know when you found the podcast, if you've been enjoying it. We'd be really excited to hear from you guys as you continue this journey. But yeah, we're back. Oh my god. It feels like such a long time ago that we finished Harry Potter in the prisoner of Azkaban. We left Harry back at Privet Drive with the damn Drizzlies after he had this wonderful reunion with his godfather, Sears Black, and you know, the crookshanks and the scabbers of it all. Oh, we'll get to that. But it's just, yeah, it's been a while. Alicia, how are you doing? You know, take this little break from your Harry Potter journey and just enjoying your summer.

SPEAKER_02

I'm doing really good. There's been a lot of changes, so we'll go over that. Last you guys heard, I was gonna go to Portugal with one of my best friends, Jesus. We had a phenomenal time. We went to a place called Lagos and a place called Madeira, which is like its own island, I believe. And the weather was fantastic, the food was incredible, the people that we kept meeting were just like almost kids met. And there was a huge heat wave. I know a lot of people have been talking about the heat wave in France, Spain, but it was also in Portugal. But we just kept skipping it. So we got we were really thankful that we didn't hit that that heat wave because a lot of Europeans don't have AC because the houses are older, they didn't need it back then, but the way that these data centers be plowing through the water, the AC is gonna be a necessity. And unfortunately, like people are dying. Yeah, people are dying. It's like way too hot in their apartments. But I know a lot of like Americans have been giving tips of like how to survive a heat wave because we we we know how to do this, and then you can do the aluminum trick where you put the aluminum foil outside of your your window panels, so you do the shiny part on the outside so it reflects the sun back out, okay, and that can help reduce the internal temperature. Yeah, so I learned all about that, but I I think that the trip was really good for me to do some self-reflection and kind of return back to myself. And then when I came back, I just had this like career search. So I made certain goals for myself, like I'm a massage therapist, that's what I do for work. And in the month of July, even though I came back like the 7th or 8th to work, I massaged like 51 clients.

SPEAKER_03

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

And my goal I just put 32 because I I wanted to achieve it.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, wow, 52. Like I'm proud of myself.

SPEAKER_03

Now 52 with some repeats in there or 52 new clients.

SPEAKER_02

52 with repeats. Okay, okay, okay. Like, and that's another thing, it's like I've been building my clientele, which is very cool. And so now I'm pushing myself where okay, if you've already seen me four times, like I need to switch up to style, I need to continue learning so that they can keep coming back and know that I'm listening to their problems, and I'm also like on the lookout for new stuff.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and you can't do it. Yeah, and you get to know their bodies and like you said, their ailments and how to like curate your skills to their specific needs and all that. So that's really cool.

SPEAKER_02

It's cool, and everyone's so different too. So I just feel like very curious in my sessions, which is nice, like if they let me. Other times they're just like, just do the one-two, and you know, no problem. And then my mom is moving, she just purchased the house. And we're gonna be moving really fast. Will we have to be completely out of here September 15th, but we get the keys to the other place September 1st.

SPEAKER_00

Oh wow, okay.

SPEAKER_02

So that's it. Yeah, um, like even like a whole bookshelf has been unpacked. Like we are we're starting the process, and we're gonna be just two streets away from my grandfather that we take care of. Oh, okay. So it's better for the family as well. And we'll have a yard for Rico.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I know, that's right. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Let me upgrade my son's life. Um, I think that's that's all the upgrade updates that I have, but they're upgrades as well. How have you been? How was your break?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Well, first I was just saying the note that you made about Europeans not having AC. I thought that was just very funny because one of the people that I'm seeing right now is European, and so when I'm over their place and like we're like on opposite ends when it comes to temperature control, like they will have it off in the middle of a New York summer. I'm like, baby, I need this on at least at 68 degrees. Like, what are we doing? So that's yeah off in the summer in New York, yes, nasty city, no offense with the windows open. I'm like, um, so then I'm like, I feel like gulp? Yes. I'm like, I need a 68, 70 something. And I made the joke one time I made a cold. Oh, okay, 68. Well, that's my personal preferred temperature, but I could do acute 70, 72, but even then I start to get a little clammy. Like, I need to be like shivering underneath the covers. Um, but I made the joke once of oh, like I yeah, I heard like Europeans don't have like AC or whatever, and they're like, oh, at least we have free healthcare and education. I said, oh, I said, oh, act me good. But we've we've been able to find some middle ground. So I just thought that was funny. Um, but besides that, no, the summer's been good, you know, just uh enjoying this new chapter in my life. In some regards, I finished my first year of my acting program. I literally just came off of that yesterday at the time of us recording this. So that was a great conclusion. There were some highs and some lows in this year that I've been doing it since January. Oh my God. But it kind of uh I felt reaffirmed in the journey that I'm taking when it comes to this acting conservatory that I'm doing everything by my classmates, by my teacher. Like me and my partner were the last people to go for our scene work in my acting class. And when I say we shut it the fuck down, and it's not even me just saying that to my own horn, but like my teacher was like smiling, grinning. My classmates were like, one of my classmates put eight fingers up, and I was like, is he giving me an eight out of ten? But then after we was like, no, he was like eight, like you eight. I was like, Oh, okay. These gensies, yeah, no, literally, but like, y'all confuse us, yeah. But like we literally shut the shit down. And I was like, that's the best way to end the year. I like I fought on such a high my movement class. I had to do like this drag performance. So I was in like my red, I had red high heel boots on up to my knees and a wig and a dress, and so yeah, that was a time. I think I have a picture of my I'll show it to you when I get a chance. And then my voice class, we were performing some Greek, Greek poetry or whatever. So just like I just felt like so actor-y in this last week. It was a hard week. I didn't work at all. I just was doing all acting-related stuff, and that's how I like to have it. But so that was really fun. Um, and besides that, yeah, that's pretty much all I was doing. And then just also, you know, just dilly-dallying, you know, enjoying the company of people that I've been getting to know and a lot of that. And sometimes maybe a little bit too much, because like there'll be times like I'll be over their place. I'm like, I should pick up a shift at work, or I should, you know, commit to my job or go to class. And I'm like, oh, but I really just want to stay here. Um, so I I need to control it just a little bit. Um, but still, that's been a good time. And then yeah, so it's August now, you know, summer's kind of winding down. I'm planning a little quick weekend trip to Cancun with some of my friends. Could kind of just a little unwinding of sorts, so we are we all are in need of it, so that'll be fun. I've been to Cancun before. Um, I prefer to like maybe try somewhere else, but yeah. Um also I'm an easy traveler, like they want to go there. It's easy, it's kind of like familiar, so we're gonna just do that for a few days.

SPEAKER_02

And then you guys say at a resort or a hotel. Resort.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like Cancun is very resorty. Like, I've never heard of someone like going local into the local town of Cancun. I feel like it's just resort, resort, resort, resort.

SPEAKER_02

Like if you go into a local town, it's to do like an excursion, yeah. Or like one of those big, big touristy bars. Yeah. I went I went to Cancun as well. It kind of gave me the vibe. Like, I don't know, I I don't feel like I went to Mexico.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, that's that's not a place you go if you want to go to Mexico. Like, I've been to Puerto Vallarta like two times, and both times I went there, I like stayed in the town, so I walk around, get to the beach and stuff, but I can also like mix and mingle. I've been to Mexico City, so like there's been other places in Mexico that I've been to where I feel like I've actually like been to Mexico, but yeah. So yeah, so that'll be fun.

SPEAKER_02

You've had a good yeah, a good break, and happy that you you found someone that you enjoyed spending time with. I'm happy that your acting class is pushing you, it's giving you range for that drag performance. Was it a speech or were you like lip sync drag?

SPEAKER_03

It was so it's for my movement class, so it's more focused on the way you were moving as this drag performer. So, like, for instance, my chest would be elevated to kind of like lead with my chest and give a like a confidence to me, and I'll kind of like lead with my knee. So there's like a strut that I was doing, and then I was also wearing high heels, so just how to move while doing that, and kind of so there's just different things because you know, acting is voice movement, and also the performance you're giving, because all that can kind of influence a character, so kind of just coming at it from that style, but then yeah, so putting the body and embodiment exactly, exactly. So, yeah, and then my birthday's coming up. Well, not right now, but like in September. I don't think I'm gonna be able to do usually I try to eat do a trip somewhere, usually I try to do a trip somewhere like internationally, but this year I don't think I'm gonna be able to swing it because my acting, my year two of my acting program is gonna be starting in September and stuff like that. So, and the money, the the money pot is looking real low, honey. We still wait on those sponsors for the podcast. Okay. So, so uh it might be a little staycation this year, but that's okay. We'll figure it out. But yeah, so I am excited to get this new book. It is thick. I have it right here. It is thick, and it only gets thicker. So yeah, so we are we're here. We're here, we're here to do Harry Potter and the Goblet of Baya. Alicia, how do you I guess how do you feel about this first chapter?

SPEAKER_02

It's juicy. It's juicy. I like that we didn't start at the same privat drive. Like you did it three years in a row. I mean, the first book we started as a baby outside on the street, but like still in the same neighborhood.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I'm glad that this is totally different. We have a whole new character. It was some villain shit. I want to see this in the movie or in the TV show.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, yeah. I was curious to know what your thoughts would be reading this first chapter, because like you said, all three, all three of the other books have started with, for the most part, it started with Harry or at Priver Drive. So this first chapter of Goblet of Fire, like, wait, who's this Frank Price person? Like, where are we at? Like, who's these people that die? Like, what's going on? I was giving very true crime type behavior, so it was interesting. So I was like excited to kind of get your thoughts on that. So we're gonna get into the chapter shortly, but before we do, we can need you know, we got some housekeeping. We know it's been a while. We got some housekeeping, we've been getting some listener letter emails, so we're excited to read those over the next few episodes. We've also been getting some five-star reviews, and it's just been a good time. So let's first start with a listener letter that we got in the inbox. But it was titled Colorado Slander and Other Things That Make Me Laugh. And it was sent in by who, Alicia?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I gotta verify the spelling with you.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

S-A-I-R-E-E.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Last thing C-A-R-R.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe this is an Irish name. I'm gonna call you Sherry, girl.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh, that's interesting. Sherry.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I was thinking Syrie or Sarai. I don't know. I guess please confirm with us. But let me read the let me read the email so you guys can get some context. Okay. So, like I said, this is titled Colorado Slander and Other Things That Make Me Laugh from Syrie, Shy, Sherry, Miss Carr, let us know. It says, Hello, Alicia and Coda. I hope you're enjoying your summer break. I just wanted to pop on and say that you guys have been a light in my life over these past few weeks. I had found the podcast a few months back, and while I saved it at the time, I didn't start diving in until last month when I began an unpaid internship that has an hour-long commute. The audacity of it to be unpaid and an hour-long commute. Lord, okay. I'm adding that commentary. She didn't put that in her email. Internship don't find her. Okay. Finally caught up, and I'm sad that I won't have new content to listen to from you guys for a while. To everything from disincoloradians in the last episode, I'm from Colorado and I wasn't prepared to be stereotyped that hard. So Alicia not being able to pronounce anything. Alicia, I dare you to uh try to pronounce my name. So let's see if you can come up with a pronunciation. So I haven't heard yet. So yeah, please let us know if she got it right. Takoda causing chaos with his whiz quiz questions. There are some that even I, a lifelong Harry Potter fan who has read the books probably 200 times, get wrong. So all right. I love that. You guys brighten up my early mornings and late evenings during the stressful summer. I am so looking forward to Goblet of Fire, it's one of my favorite books, and I would be delighted to be a guest on the podcast if you would have me for any chapter. May your pills be cold on both sides and your love for Harry Potter never fade. I'll be waiting for this email to be read on the next episode. Can't wait for y'all's voices to grace my earbuds once again. Yours, I'm gonna say Miss Carr, because I don't know how to pronounce your first name properly, a Slytherin and proud of it. Ooh, what an email. Ooh, when I got that, I think you sent that in June. When I got that, I said, Oh my goodness. You know how I feel when y'all send in emails. Like whatever I'm doing in the moment, as soon as I get that email from the inbox, I stop to read it and I'll just be cheesing. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So thank you for writing us. It was really sweet, and it kept us going during our break.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, absolutely. And I also love like that you said a Slytherin and proud of it. Because I need my Slytherin to be proud. I don't like any sheepish type of when you ask someone what their house is and then they don't want to say it, they hesitate, and then they just say Slytherin. I'm like, oh, you need to say it loud and proud. Draco gang up in here. So, yes, I'm glad that you're a Slytherin. And yeah, thank you for listening. And I'm glad our podcasters may be able to keep you company during your long drives in the summer to your unpaid internship. And yeah, now you're back and you are the first listener email of the season, hootie hoot. And also, you are more than welcome to come join us for an episode of Goblet of Fire. So you just give us a follow-up email letting us know what chapter you want to come on to do that, and we'd be so happy to have you. And speaking of that, yes, we did put out a request for a guest co-host for our Goblet of Fire journey. So if you're still interested in doing that, send us a DM over on Instagram, send us an email, let us know what chapter you're interested in joining us for, and we'll get something shaken. Of course, on a voluntary basis, because I need the host, aren't you getting paid, child? So we all got nothing to give you besides a good time and some laughs.

SPEAKER_02

And as I look at your Instagram and you post some weird maga shit, you're not welcome.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, don't even, don't, don't even submit an application. Yes, because there will be you will be background checked and verified. And you better have left a five-star written review, and you better have shared the podcast with at least three hair potter friends that you know.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

And you better have good audio quality and a good Wi-Fi connection.

SPEAKER_02

Because we don't, so you need that.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, there are some prerequisites. All right. Well, thank you again for that email. Now let's go ahead and read this five-star review that we got from Kendra Gryffindor, and it says, lovely podcast. Found this podcast, and I'm so glad I did. I love the co-host Coda so much, and I'm so glad he started this Harry Potter journey with his friend Alicia. Thank you, Kendra Gryffindor. We really appreciate that five-star review. Now, I'm gonna be honest in this moment. Kendra Gryffindor is one of my acting classmates. She is a fan of Harry Potter, but perchance I might have picked up her phone and typed that review off of her phone myself.

SPEAKER_01

Very slith, very slither interview.

SPEAKER_03

I had to do what I had to do. She is a Harry Potter fan, but I said, shit, give me your phone. Let me type this up. I've been begging my listeners for five-star reviews, and they haven't been sending them in. I gotta put me first. Yes. Thank you, Kendra. Thank you for doing the good work. But I think we've gibber jabbered on long enough. It's nice to be back in the summit things, honestly. It was a little bit of a rough start, but we're here. Now, Alicia, are you ready to get into Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? Chapter one, The Riddle House.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Is that what the chapter is called?

SPEAKER_02

It's called Yeah, the Riddle House. Yeah, the Riddle House.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, we're we're a little rusty, but we're here. All right, let's go.

SPEAKER_02

So this chapter, as I alluded to before, does not start on Privet Drive. It actually starts in a village called Little Haggleton. Although it had been years since the Riddle family lived in their manor, the home that they once lived in was still referred to from the villagers as the Riddle House. It was the biggest house around with a giant yard, but the windows were boarded up and the house was covered with overgrown vines. This place was now a damp disaster, and it was lacking major TLC. The manor itself has had a creepy vibe ever since what happened fifty years ago. Like any small town where people get bored, they start to gossip and they bring up often what had happened at the Riddle House. Fifty years ago, on a summer morning, the Riddle family maid walked in to see all three members of the Riddle family dead. So for the Riddle family, you have an older married couple, and then you have their adult son Tom that lives with them. The maid walked in, all three of them are laid out there. She's screaming, of course, she's running through the neighborhood. And what she pointed out was that they were cold as ice, and then they also were dressed in their dinner clothes from the night before. So this must have happened at night. One thing to note is that the townspeople were not that sad to hear that these people have passed away. They kind of gave Dursley vibes in terms of like their snobbiness and entitlement, and then apparently the adult son was very much like what's his name? Not Dobby. Dursley Jr.

SPEAKER_03

Dudley.

SPEAKER_02

Dudley. So Tom was kind of like the Dudley, but if they were a little richer, a lot richer. The townspeople did care that there was a murder, of course, because they want to know, like, am I next? Like who who did this? So the town lit up with rumors, and they all met up at the Hanged Man, which is the name of their local pub, ironically enough. And the question of the day was, how did three people just drop dead? There's no way this was natural causes. As the townspeople are running amok with their rumors, a person walks into the bar, and it turns out to be their family cook who announces a man named Frank Rice was just arrested. This was not received. By well by the town, and some residents even exclaimed that Frank would never do this. So now let's talk about Frank. Let's meet Mr. Frank Bryce. We know that he's a gardener who's lived alone at the Riddle Manor. He was a war veteran and preferred his personal space ever since he came back. He hated loud noises and crowds. It doesn't take too much to put it together. He probably has a little bit of PTSD. So he's just gonna be off to his own. He does his work, he does it well, but he's not there to socialize. The cook that announced that he was arrested points out to the people bombarding her with questions that because of this he seemed really unfriendly. She has offered him a cup of tea a hundred times and he always says no. And she thought that that was really rude. I don't need to share tea with anyone. I'm here to do my job. I appreciate you. But if I've sold you no ten times, maybe don't ask me again.

SPEAKER_03

And it's interesting how because of him having his boundaries and wanting to keep to himself, people then will like they take offense to that, so then they try to paint you in a bad light as opposed to just respecting that I don't want to be like, I'm trying to keep my distance. It's interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, maybe you go to war, you come back, and then you're gonna be the same person. So a local actually defended Frank saying he likes the quiet life and he's had a hard war. Thank you for standing up for him. But the cook the cook the cook. So sorry. Something's on my mind. Okay, but the cook cuts in with a strong point. Who else had a key to the house? So good point. Because Frank was a gardener in the cottage house, there was like a rusty key that he had access to to the big family house. No one forced the door, and there was no signs of forced entry, so he is a suspect, unfortunately. Once she said this, the tone shifted at the bar, and now everyone was running with it. So by the morning, almost everyone there was convinced Frank had killed the Riddle, the Riddle family. In the morning, Frank was adamant on his innocence. So the next scene starts where he's in the police department and they're questioning him. He told them he did not do this. He's like, I promise I didn't do this. I did see a pale young man with dark hair on the day of the Riddle's death, but the police pointed out that no one else saw this person. Can I say a theory?

SPEAKER_03

Or is it too early? It is never too early for a haircutter theory from a first-time reader of the books. Go on.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, pale young man, dark hair. Kind of reminds me of Tom Ridler.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

That's my theory, is that it's homeboy.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

But I don't know if mathematically. Yeah, I think. Yeah, mathematically it would make sense.

SPEAKER_03

I'm thinking of the timeline, because I don't think this is happening pre- Oh, I guess is this happening present day? I don't think this is happening present day.

SPEAKER_02

This story happened 50 years ago.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, right, 50 years ago. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And I know that Chamber of Secrets was opened 50 years ago.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. So and Tom was what? He was 16 at the time?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So that's a young dark-haired guy with he's very pale. So that's that's my original theory. And then the son's name, Tom, you name yourself Tom.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

I know that his name is like all spelled crazy, right? But I'm like, hmm. Coincidence.

SPEAKER_03

Right, right, right, right, right, right, right.

SPEAKER_01

Or catfish.

SPEAKER_03

Look, Alicia's like, after the last book with the scabbard shenanigans of it all, I'm my my my my antenna is up for any shenanigans. Okay, you know, I'm not mad.

SPEAKER_02

It's like Pokemon, like gotta catch them all, gotta suspect them all.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. All right. They're right to it. I like it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so Tom finished being questioned, and then finally the doctor's report came out. I guess they I don't know if it was like an autopsy, if it was something like that. But it was clear none of the family were strangled, harmed, suffocated. They all seemed to be healthy, although they're all dead, and they all had the same look of absolute terror in their face. Without proof of murder, Frank was let go. He returned to the Riddle Manor, but his life was never the same. New owners new owners would come and go, and Frank continued to guard in the premise premises, but the new owners never really stayed long because it had that eerie vibe. And then although it's fifty years later, we're fast-forwarding, Frank is almost 77 years old. For 50 years, he's been known as that guy.

SPEAKER_03

That damn stuff. It's like Boo Radley. Yes, yes. Come on, um What's that? To Kill Malcolm Bird?

SPEAKER_02

To kill a Malcolm Bird. I was gonna say to catch a predator.

SPEAKER_03

Come on, Chris Hansen. You know they're coming out with a movie of that, right?

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Robert Patterson is, I think, is starring as Chris Hansen, and I think they're doing something wrong. But didn't Chris Hansen get also accused of something, or no? Is that why the show ended?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so I kind of went on a small rabbit hole recently on TikTok because I just keep seeing all these clips that he says like the craziest stuff. People are saying that the reason why the show got canceled is because he started to some of the people were like police officers, judges.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, right.

SPEAKER_02

And so they kind of came for him. So I don't know if he's connected to the PDFs. I didn't hear that part. So if that part's true, then F you.

SPEAKER_03

But I could see that being true too, that the people they were catching were people that shouldn't be doing what they were doing. So they had to like put a kabash to the whole thing. Interesting. Yeah, but I know Robert.

SPEAKER_02

I keep using this word kabash. Come on, New Yorker.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. What can I say? Um, but yeah, so it would be I'm interested to see what Robert Patterson does with it. He's one of my favorite actors, and he was good in the Odyssey.

SPEAKER_02

So good in the Odyssey.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you saw it?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

I saw it. I did not, I thought I was gonna sleep, you know. I'm scared with the long movies. I was I thought I was in the boat with them. Like I was absolutely there. Zendana made me cry.

SPEAKER_03

No, girls, we had to. What should we do? That made you cry. Let me not let me not let me control a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. We put that behind the pinball. You should, you need to put your reviews back.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, I should. I I I'm hoping sometime during this month that I have offering my class that I find some way back to my YouTube channel or something to kind of that creative side of my movie and TV show watching. So we'll see what's in the works, but yes. Yeah, yeah. But for now, you just gotta go to my letterbox because that's where I usually have my thoughts on movies and stuff like that. But it's interesting because you don't you do you usually go to the movies or every now and then? No. We see slow Odyssey is bringing people out to the movies that don't typically go, so that's how you know. Because I feel like it's become an event like to go see this movie on a big screen and stuff like that. So that's cool.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I saw it on IMAX too. And I now I'm thinking, like, what else can I watch? Yeah, but Robert Patterson was very good. Yes. Okay, going back to Mr. Frank. Yes. So 50 years later, all these people have just grown up talking talking shit about him and being basically saying, like, that's the man that got away with murder, you know. And then because of that, no one really respects him, including the younger boys. They throw rocks at the empty house. Frank is a very, I think he has OCD probably, but he's like very meticulous about his garden. And the boys know this, and they'll just ride their bike all crazy, leave tire mics, just being really disrespectful.

SPEAKER_03

This is a sorry, it's like they weren't even alive when he was originally accused and taken in for alleged killings of the riddles. So, because of the stigma that the town has put on him and this damn house, now the kids that have been raised up in that town they've taken out to be like, oh, that's old man Frank that was accused of killing people that live there. So we're also gonna torment him, like you know what I mean? So it's just it's just unfortunate. Like, this is how this town decides to treat their veterans that live among them. So I think that's an interesting comparison.

SPEAKER_02

And how do we treat our veterans over here?

SPEAKER_03

Uh mic job. Mic job.

SPEAKER_02

We should like put a link for like veteran help because yeah, okay, we can do that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think there's a website or something.

SPEAKER_02

Not that I'm you know, I'm not gonna say that not that we're like pro pro military, but it's just okay.

SPEAKER_03

I wasn't gonna say that, but you said I'll say it for us.

SPEAKER_02

I'm pro-mental health.

SPEAKER_03

Oh. Okay. All right.

SPEAKER_00

I'll take that.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so one so we are now, Frank is 77 years old or almost 77. It's August, it's late at night, and Frank's pain leg awoke him. He has a bad leg. You notice one of the main homes light was on. He thought this was just some punks fucking with him because sometimes the boys would even sneak into the house or like flick the lights on up and off, off and on. Just I guess they like pretend that there's like a ghost in there. But he could tell the way that the light was flickering, someone had started a fire. Frank took the really rusty key to the house and checked out the entrances. No disruption, no one had tried to break in. He covered there's a lot of ivy that covered one of the doors, and so he was trying to push that out of the way. He finally gets into the house. The house does not smell good. There is an owner, but they just use it for tax purposes, and they don't even live there at that point. So the smell just had this like lingering decay in the air. But thankfully he remembered how to get around. He starts going to where the light is coming from, and then he hears two voices. So the chapter picks up and we figure out who these voices are. A really fearful voice starts by saying, My lord, there's no there's more in the bottle if you're hungry. My lord says, Not now. Move me closer to the fire. The man with the fearing voice moved his chair closer. The louder voice tells him he needs to milk Nagini. Okay. He said, I need night feedings as this journey has exhausted me. The fearing voice said, My lord, how long are we gonna stay here? The Lord answers, one week one week maybe more. We cannot act until the quiddage match is done. Frank is on the outside of the room, but in the hallway, and there's just kind of like a creep door. And he's like, Hold on, I need to check my hearing because they just used the word quidage. What the hell is that? My ears are deceiving.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, Frank. Like for him to be the age he is, and for him to like be going through all this, like creaking up to the damn main house with his damn cane on his bad leg, listening in all this conversation. Like, on one like on one hand, it's like, dang, he should have just minded his business and went back to bed. But I think you know, he thought it was to those those damn troublesome kids, that's why he wants to investigate. And you know, we'll see what happens. But yeah, uh, wish he just stayed, left left well enough known. But what can you do?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, true. But maybe we'll talk about this later, but they were gonna stay for at least another week. So eventually he would have seen something.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good point.

SPEAKER_02

And at this point, JK drops the name of the two voices. So the little voice is Warmtail, and the louder voice is Lord Vortemo. Lord V, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Scabby, how do you feel about Mr.

SPEAKER_02

Pettigrew making his appearance, reappearance so soon after the I knew we weren't done with him because they made this whole thing how he's embedded to Harry Potter now, so he can't just disappear. And then I also knew that Lord Voldemort was still around.

SPEAKER_03

Still lingering around.

SPEAKER_02

But they they met up quick after their summer break.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. No, literally, or maybe during the summer break, because remember, we didn't get any of uh Lord Voldemort during Prisoner of Ascaban. Steve was not even in the book at all. So I think after Chamber of Sea, technically at the end of Sorcerer's Stone, when he left a crow's body, you know, that professor, the one with the turban, and he just like just he just went into the air or whatever. That was the last time we saw like his that form of him. And then in Chamber of Secrets, we had the Tom Riddle like past diary version. It was like a ghost type thing. But this is now the next time we're actually seeing him like in present-day form or whatever. So and then yes, we saw Scabbrid slash Peter Pedigree slash Wormtail just last book, and Harry was trying so badly to kill him, and her mind's like, no, you cannot, and now he's back. So now, and they did say that I think uh Lupin and Sirius was like, Oh, you're gonna go running back to him the first chance you get, and he was in no time. So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So Wormtail asks Voldemort, why are we waiting for this to be over? Voldemort says the block is too hot, there will be increased security for the Quidditch cup, and the they're gonna look out, like the Ministry of Magic is gonna look out for unusual activity. In case the Muggles notice anything, they are going to be strict about any identities that come through. And now Frank's like, okay, I know this is not my hearing. I've heard Quidditch, I've heard muggles, I've heard magic, ministry of magic. These bitches are speaking in code. So Frank is like, hmm, like he's like, I'm really listening now. Wormto continues and says, So you're really determined to do this? Woldeman says, Certainly. And he sounds he sounds irked because he's like, the man with the plan. Why are you questioning me? This is now the second time you're like, Are you sure? Are you sure? Like, are you not trusting?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah, and just because I'm down and out right now and I'm not at my strongest form, doesn't mean you can talk back, like, do what I say. But yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And Wormtail says, Well, I think this can be done without Harry Potter. Voldemort's like, oh, I see. I see where you're going with this, you fucking bitch. And Wormtail's like, no, no, this is not about my feelings. No, no, no, it's not about me. Like, no, girl. I'm having the best interest for you, but I think you could find another wizard. Voldemort's like, I guess I could use another one. And Wormtail's like, yes, yes, yes. Harry is so well protected. It's gonna be so much harder to secure him, which is true. He is very well protected, and there's a lot of eyes on him because he's so magnetic.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and Wormtail will know that since he's been scavengers the last three years, and with Ron and just seeing the environment and the community that that Harry has. So he does have a little insider knowledge in terms of like the lands that people have gone through to protect this boy. But then also part of me is thinking, is he trying to like find a way to like kind of like protect Harry also because of the whole Harry sparing his life last book or whatever? So I don't know. I I still still feel like he's yelling this, but also this is maybe what you know you brought up last book coming to fruition. But I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

So Lord Vodemort senses too much eagerness in Wormtail and says, Maybe nursing me back to health has become too much for you, Wormtail. Maybe this change of plan is really you wishing to abandon me. Wormtail's like, oh my god, girl, no, never that. Like you are my L-O-R-D, honey. And Lord Voldemort is like, This please. You flint anytime you touch me, and I see you shudder around me. I know I disgust you. And he goes, Don't lie.

SPEAKER_03

That sounds like a couple that hasn't had sex in like a very long time. Yes. And like they're like, you don't even want to touch me. You're like the side of me.

SPEAKER_02

And don't.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Wimtails like, but I'm devoted. Woldemar's like, babe, you have nowhere else to go. Devoted my ass.

SPEAKER_03

Play Grease. I hope uh oh is it new and John. Please devoted to you. Oh, Greece. You know, there were no black people in that movie. It's like it's one of those movies that you know, fuck that mercy. It's just like okay.

SPEAKER_02

My worm tail, my Rico wants to escape my room, so one sec.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, go hopelessly to voted. I'm hopelessly to voted to you.

SPEAKER_03

Give me a little uh singing break while Alicio's gone. Okay, she's back now. Let's go. She'll hear that in the playback.

SPEAKER_02

So Vodemar's like, you have nowhere else to go, devoted my ass. But anyways, who else is gonna milk Nikini if you go now to another wizard? And Romteel's like, no, no, no, you seem stronger already. You seem stronger. And Voldemort's like, you're a liar. And I don't get nurse. If I don't get nurse, all the strength that I have gained, I'm gonna lose it all. Like he's Voldemort's not strong enough to be alone right now, and just because he's making progress does not mean that he can be abandoned. And he says, I have my reasons as to why it has to be Harry, okay? I've waited 13 years for this. What is just a few months? I need you to find courage, bitch. My plan will break through all of Harry's protection. Just trust me. Wormtail's like, My lord, Bertha Jenkins' disappearance will not go unnoticed for long. So we don't know who Bertha is. I don't know who Big Bertha is, but she's disappeared. Okay? And apparently her disappearance will not go unnoticed. And Wormtail's like, I've gone over this plan over and over. If we do this, if we murder, and now Watermood's like, if you want to talk about mothers, if not if, when? This is the plan. Like, we are going to c kill someone.

SPEAKER_03

We're gonna do some good old-fashioned killing. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

He's like, you will follow the plan, and the Ministry of Magic will not know that anyone else has died. Just one more murder, and this path to Harry Potter is clear. Plus, I will help you. By the time I will be much stronger, and so we'll do this together, and you've been my and my real faithful servant will rejoin us. And Wormtail's like, but I I am faithful to you. Stop.

SPEAKER_00

Stop talking.

SPEAKER_02

And Wolverine's like, bitch, please again. I need someone loyal, but also smart. Okay? Neither of you neither of those things pertain to you. You're not you're not any of that combo. And Wormtail's like, but I but I found I found you. I brought you Bertha Jenkins. And Lord Venom is like, alright, that is true, but you didn't even know she was useful. Did you? Got him. He tried, he tried to say yes, yes, yes. He's like liar. But listen, I will give you the reward. I will give you an essential task to perform. My followers would be envious of this. Warm toes. Like, hold on. The killer does not need to hand me out any more tasks. Like, I think I'm good. I'll get a job at the Home Depot. Like, I do not need a task over here. And so he's like, What is this task? Lord Voldemort's like, no, babe. I'm not gonna spoil the surprise for you, sweetie. Like, that that makes it less fun. But just know you'll be just as useful as Big Bertha. And he's like, You're gonna kill me. And Voldemort's like, no, no way. I had to kill her. We had no use for her. And plus, she's seen you. She knows that you're not dead, Wormtail. What would she have said to the Ministry of Magic if she was being questioned? And Wormtail is like, You could have changed her memory, you could have put a spell. And Voldemort's like, no. Even those spells can be extra extracted, like, even those memories can be extracted. Going now, let's go back to Frank, who's been listening to all of this from the doorway. His legs shaking, and he's like been trying to move, but like you know, you're just frozen in fear.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

He's figuratively pulled in pulling a Donald Trump, like he's shitting his diaper.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And he's like, oh my god, this man is a killer, a cold blood killer. Frank knew he had to be quiet on the creek.

SPEAKER_03

I'm like, where did that come from? It was just like two seconds ago where I find I I found out that it's a Saucy Santana song. Quiet on the Creek.

SPEAKER_02

I love that song.

SPEAKER_03

But is it like a river creek, like a creek, like a lake creek? Or quite is that the context? Quiet on the creek?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because I saw Saucy Santana was on a live stream with some streamer and They're at a creek, like fishing, and then he could spot an alligator, so he got they got out of the water. So I guess it's all promo for the song or something, but okay Yeah, quiet on the creek.

SPEAKER_02

It's just like you know, if you're oh If you're messing with a merried man quiet on the creek. Oh wait, I didn't know that was like basically like keeping things on the low, quiet on the creek.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

That's what it is.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, but we're the merried man. Okay, you know.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, that's just an example. But Frank needs to be quiet on the creek. If not, there's gonna be a homicide in the hallway.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, okay.

SPEAKER_02

So Frank knew what he had to do. This hairy kid is in trouble. He doesn't know him, but he needs to go to the police.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Now back to Lord Voldemort's conversation. One more murder worm tale. It's decided. Ooh, I think I hear Nagini. Voldemort's. No.

SPEAKER_03

Right, you're right.

SPEAKER_02

And then it is a sushi. It's not Nagiri, I'll tell you that. Um Voldemort started speaking in parcel tongue, and a slithering, gigantic 12-foot snake made its way past fuck my life, Frank.

SPEAKER_01

And he's like, I'll be damned. This murderer can speak snake.

SPEAKER_03

He put two and two together real quick because he was at first he was like, wait, he just starts hissing and stuff. Like, who is he? Like, what is he saying now? Like, what's going on? And once he knows Nagini's behavior, he was like, Wait, is he talking to the snake? Like, what? Like, he put it all together real quick. I said, Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_01

No, my heart was like pounding for him. I'm like, no, no, Frankie. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And I think at this point, like, so when Nagini was like sliding past or slithering past Frank, it stopped next to Frank. And like, you know how snakes can like come up, like like up in the air. I think it did that to Frank and just licked at Frank and then it went back. It continued on to the room. I said, Oh, Nagini's about a snitch on your ass. Like, he said, busted. I said, Oh my goodness. But it's interesting to note that you know, this is Voldemort speaking partial tongue, the same skill that Harry was using up in Chambershow that almost got him kicked out of being the heiress litheran. So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Frank had so wished that he had stayed asleep. He wanted so badly to move. But his legs refused him service. Voldemort says, ooh, Nagini has some news for us, Warney.

SPEAKER_03

She wasted no time. She went right inside the room. She said, Does someone listen?

SPEAKER_02

According to Naggini, we got an old muggle outside of this door spying on us.

SPEAKER_03

Let him in. He said, Wormtail, let old man Frank into the room.

SPEAKER_02

Frank was, yeah, welcome to the room by Wormtail. So you heard everything, Muggle, huh? He said, a what now? A muggle is one who lacks wizard tree.

SPEAKER_03

It kind of reminds me of our very first episode when I called us a muggle, or I called you a muggle. He's like, Who you called a muggle? I was like, wait a minute. I was like, what a nice little callback to that first episode title. I said, that is funny. Frank said, Don't call me that. I don't know what to do.

SPEAKER_02

I thought of that too. Um Frank was getting like his heart was racing, and he was, you could tell he's really scared. And he but he had this moment of bravery, and he's like, listen, I'm gonna tell the police all about you, which like Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, you know this person is a murderer. Yes, I that was the one thing. I was like, you gotta play, you gotta obviously I don't think he was gonna get out of the situation anyway. But I was like, sometimes, like, if you're seeing someone witness a crime, maybe the first thing you do it don't do is shout out that you're gonna tell call the police, like get away first and then call the police. I was like, okay, but he, like you said, he did have a very he is a war veteran, so but you can see his bravery coming out in this moment, even him being old and feeble and not knowing the context of this whole situation, for him to kind of just be defiant and stand up in this way. I was like, shout out to you, Frank.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he says, My wife knows I'm here, and if I don't come back, Waltermore's like, liar, you ain't got no wife. Not a singular soul knows that your bitch ass is here. And then Frank goes, Well, face me like a man then. Oh, because Waltermore is standing sitting by the fire back to the entrance.

SPEAKER_03

In a chair, but he's not like his bot, you can't see because of his current form, which they don't really fully describe what his current form is, but it's small enough that it's just like you just hear his voice, you can't see him. He's just he's cloaked by the chair, pretty much. So he has to turn on in order for Frank to see him. And I like that Frank said. He said, say it with your fucking chest. Turn on it.

SPEAKER_00

Like, if you're gonna tell me that, tell me.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you high-pitched, kill yeah, okay. And they keep describing Voldemort's voice as being very high-pitched. Oh, I know Frank was like, put some bass in your uh chest and say, turn around, look at me.

SPEAKER_02

And Voldemort's like, you know what? Let's let's make that happen. Wormtail, turn me around. Wormtail's like, no, sir, please, no, you promised no more murders, no.

SPEAKER_03

Wormtail, do you know who you work for? Like, I would the whole like Wormtail woes in me. I don't feel bad for you. Like, I don't know if you've seen that video of like there's an old lady, an old black lady in a wheelchair outside of a hospital, and I think someone like did something to her. I don't know. And she's basically like, You supposed to me feel bad for that bitch, I don't.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, but I need to see it.

SPEAKER_03

You literally seeked Vordermore out, and I guess it's pretty much out of fear that if you didn't, like, well, if he did come back to power, he'll come get you for not like trying to help him or whatever. But like, you're not in this situation where you have to witness people being killed or helping kill more people, and you're all like feeble about it. Like, do what your master says because you're in this now, there's no getting out of it.

SPEAKER_02

So Lord Vordemont gets turned around, there's this flash of green light. Before that, what Franklin saw sent a chill up and down his spine. Lord Voldemort had given him like a death stare. And you know, this man is fugly in this form. Frank got crumbled on the creek.

SPEAKER_03

He is quiet on the creek no more.

SPEAKER_02

Well, he is the quietest. Silent.

SPEAKER_03

Silence or silence.

SPEAKER_02

And many a mile away.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Assumed to be 14-year-old, felt a wince of pain on his electric bolt.

SPEAKER_03

Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_02

Electric bolt scar. And that's how the chapter ends.

SPEAKER_03

What an interesting first chapter. It felt very true, crimey. Like I said, with the alleged murder or the murders, the flashback to the murders of the riddles 50 years ago, and then the Frank Bryce being accused and then being cleared, and now him living in his older age and just having to go through all this, and then to him encountering Lord Voldemort in this form and Nagini and Wormtow, and then him ultimately meeting his demise. But we got to hear a little inkling of some type of plan that Voldemort is cooking up that involves Harry, but it can't happen until after the Quidditch World Cup, or they need to be patient, or they need to go kill someone, and they already killed someone, Bertha Jorkens. Like, there's just a lot of stuff happening. This is a very interesting first chapter because like the first chapters that we've gone previously, it kind of like recapped what Harry's been up to, what happened in the book prior. This was just kind of throwing you right into like, you know, shit's happening. So it's kind of interesting in that way. And I'm excited for you to continue on this journey, kind of, you know, but we're here. What's your what's your thoughts? What's your thoughts?

SPEAKER_02

Well, when we were talking to, you were like, oh, and Tom Riddle. And I was like, oh, the last name is Riddle.

SPEAKER_03

Did I say that during this episode?

SPEAKER_02

During this episode.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, fuck. Okay. Well, the Riddler. But I thought you were joking, but I thought you knew his name was his last name or something.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I can't read.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. So Tom Riddle.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

I got questions for Tom.

SPEAKER_03

And then the people that died, it's the Riddle House.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. All right.

SPEAKER_02

Questions in the class.

SPEAKER_03

Questions in the class, but we'll see what happens. But oh, yeah, like I said over, I think this is a really good first chapter to kind of get us back in the swing of things. This book is 37 chapters, and I don't think we're even getting to Hogwarts till like chapter 8 or chapter 9. So there's a whole bunch of shit that's we still need to meet Harry at Priver Drive. We got still got a little bit of summer left. So there is a lot of that's going to be happening. Um, and I think in this book they're turning 14. And in the mug world, that's like right around the time you're starting high school. So freshman year of high school, if you can think back on that to our older listeners, um, what were you doing? You know. So sorry, I went somewhere for a second. Um, but so it will be interesting to see all that at play. I'll just say, you know, usually ask me questions and I usually don't answer them. But I'll say in this book, you can expect a little bit of romance. You can expect some mystery, of course, some jealousy.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, jealousy.

SPEAKER_03

More true crimey stuff and new characters or it's gonna be a new defense against a dark arts teacher, because you know, every year something happens. We lost loop in the last book, so who is it gonna be this year? And yeah, so things are gonna be happening. So any other questions for me, at least.

SPEAKER_02

My question is more about my attention span.

SPEAKER_03

I'm screaming.

SPEAKER_02

How much sports do we have to endure?

SPEAKER_03

Ooh, Quidditch. How much of Quidditch? I honestly I'm trying to I actually don't think there's that much Quidditch in this book because it's gonna be replaced by the tournament that is gonna be happening.

SPEAKER_01

I'm down with it.

SPEAKER_03

So it's gonna be, yeah, it's gonna be sports-like, but it's gonna be kind of like Olympics in terms of like different things, if I if my memory serves me right. There might be a little sprinkling of Quidditch, but they're gonna be preoccupied doing other stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so JK heard my woes.

SPEAKER_03

He said, no boy. A lot of people don't like the quiddish chapters. It's just like, what is going on? They're flying around the air, someone scored. Like, what is this? Like, I'm all sports out too, between the Knicks winning and then the real world cup, yeah. Yes, between two interesting countries to say the least. I was like, all right.

SPEAKER_02

So and did we say happy birthday to Harry Potter yet?

SPEAKER_03

I think I mentioned at the beginning, but yeah, we're recording this on August 1st. Uh so literally yesterday, July 31st, would have been Harry's something birthday. People do the math to actually see how old he'll be, like in present day 2026. I think at this point he's like 50, 50 years old or something. He's old time. But we yes, yes, but in the book sense, yes, it is uh Harry's uh birthday. So shout out to you, Harry. Thank you for giving us this amazing yet tragic and traumatizing life story for us to come on here and discuss every week. I honestly forgot to do whiz quiz before we did the chapter, and you answered a lot of the questions that I had for you. Do you still want to answer a few questions or you do feel satisfied? We'll just close it.

SPEAKER_02

So what you're saying is I have 100% in the class.

SPEAKER_03

Essentially. Well, I guess we can put it to the test.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, let's put it to the test because the listeners want to let's see if the listeners were paying attention to me talking.

SPEAKER_03

That's a good point. Oh, you better clock that. All right. Now, of course, I you know, I always promote the Instagram, Harry Sorrow Late, before we can go to get more wiz quizzes. And I was supposed to be posting for the last three books over there, but I'm still trying to figure out the kinks. But I'll go to without two throwing tomatoes at me. Okay, but, anyways, let's do some whiz quiz for this chapter. Chapter one, the riddle house. All right, question number one: how many members of the riddle family were found dead together under mysterious circumstances?

SPEAKER_02

Three family members were found dead.

SPEAKER_03

Three, that is correct. What was Frank Bryce's occupation?

SPEAKER_02

A gardener. And that is correct. A soldier.

SPEAKER_03

All right. Oh, yeah, let's not forget about that. Shout out to the vetters. I need a soldier, and he ain't waiting at. All right. How old was yeah, thank you. How old was Frank Bryce turning on this upcoming birthday?

SPEAKER_02

77.

SPEAKER_03

That is correct. What character from Prisoner of Azkaban makes an appearance in this first chapter of Goblet of Fire?

SPEAKER_02

Wormtail.

SPEAKER_03

That is correct. What big sports event is approaching in the Wizard and World?

SPEAKER_01

That's like mentioned in the Quidditch World Cup.

SPEAKER_03

That is correct. What was the name of the woman that Lord Voldemort questioned and then killed?

SPEAKER_01

Beatrice.

SPEAKER_03

Stop playing.

SPEAKER_01

BJ.

SPEAKER_03

That is correct. Birth of Dorkids. How many feet long was Nagini the snake described as being?

SPEAKER_01

Twelve feet.

SPEAKER_03

12 feet. And finally, who killed Frank Price?

SPEAKER_02

I killed Frank Price. Um Lord Voldemort.

SPEAKER_03

Alright. I was thinking did McGini do it?

SPEAKER_00

Did McGini do it?

SPEAKER_03

He said, let me think about this actually. McGini just snitched, but Lord Voldemort did the deed. And that is correct. What a great way to start this new book with you getting 100 out of 100. I know that's right. Alright. Well, this was quite the interesting start to our Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire journey on the podcast. It was an interesting one, but we wouldn't have it any other way. I feel like that's just that's such us to just come back in such a chaotic fashion. Um, but yeah, today we came out to discuss Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire chapter one, the riddle house. It was an interesting read. Make sure to leave us a five-star review over on Apple Podcast if you're so inclined, or over on Spotify as well. Follow us over on Instagram at Harry Sorry I'm Late and send us an email at Harry Sorry I'm Late Podcast at gmail.com. We're so excited anytime we get those emails in, and we can't wait to read them over on the podcast. And if you're interested in joining us for a guest episode of Goblet of Fire or any of the future books, send us an email and let us know, and we'd be happy to put that on the magical calendar. But without further ado, anything else from you, Alicia?

SPEAKER_02

No, I'm just really excited to be back. I'm excited for the listeners to have some new content for their morning commutes to their unpaid internships. Excuse me, like first you came for the Colorado. Now you're you're getting mad at I'm trying to better my life with the internship. No, I'm sorry. No.

SPEAKER_03

Shout out to you, Miss Carr. But yeah, no, we are excited to be back and thank you guys for listening. And if you're a new listener, uh, we know you had the OG said, I've been listening since the beginning, but if you're a new listener, let us know how you found the podcast. Because I'm also interested in terms of our SEO and discoverability. So let us know how you found the podcast. That'll help us out a great bit. And then um just share the podcast also to all the Harry Potter friends and family in your life and all that stuff because that also helps to grow the podcast. And we're about to hit another milestone in a probably a few episodes. So we'll be excited to talk about that when that time comes.

SPEAKER_02

There's two milestones you could be talking about right now.

SPEAKER_03

There are two milestones.

SPEAKER_02

So celebration on the creek.

SPEAKER_03

No, literally, celebration on the creek, and we just need some sponsors, so bring it all together. Um, oh, the last thing I'll say, because I know Alicia, I know you have to go. But there is the new TV show coming in December. Now, where the plan is that we finish Goblet of Fire by the time the holidays roll around, and then that'll be the perfect time for us to decide whether we're gonna continue with Order the Phoenix, the next book, or we take a break to watch this little eight-episode TV show. Or I don't know, because then Alicia still has to watch the movies. We still obviously have to finish the books, and then there's this new TV show coming. Is it like I feel like it's gonna be a lot for her to try to juggle in terms of like the new TV show characters versus the original people versus the butt? So we're gonna have to try to figure all that out. Is it bad that I'm gonna be excited to watch the show?

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, we can watch the movie another time. The movies will always be there. I need to be part of the movement.

SPEAKER_01

I've missed so many movements, so I want to be in it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's a good point. And honestly, it'll be actually very interesting for you to watch the TV show as someone who hasn't seen the movies because you don't have anything to compare them to. So you can kind of like get invested in these nuke actors that are gonna portray these characters and kind of find your connection to them. Whereas with me, I try to separate the two, but I'll always have, you know, Daniel Rod or Cliff and Emma Watson in my head and stuff like that, plus knowing the whole story. So it's gonna be interesting as we watch that that we're gonna be seeing the show possibly in a different, you know, different ways. So, but we say all that to say that, you know, if you guys want us to cover the TV show as well, or we could do watch parties, or who knows what we could do, but y'all just have to let us know and you have to leave some damn five-star reviews so we can get some sponsors. Um, and maybe we'll do some paywall content behind the paywall? Oh let's underline all caps that the future is limitless, and with magic, anything is possible. But without further ado, it's time for us to get out of here. But we'll be back very, very soon for the next few chapters of Fray Party in the Goblin of Fire. But until then, I'm Coda.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm Alicia, and I know we're cutting this, but I wanted to announce this.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, not a surprise announcement. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so if you are listening to this on the season premiere, okay, the first week of August. August 8th is the Lions Gate Portal. This is an amazing day to manifest your wildest dreams. Think of an archway. Think of you before the archway and after you walk through the archway, the portal. What do you want to feel? What does your career want to look like, your love life want to look like? School, whatever. Okay, I'm gonna manifest for our podcast. And listeners, use that magic. There's magic in the air, and go go get you some of the Lionsgate portal abundance. Because it's eight.

SPEAKER_00

I know that's right.

SPEAKER_02

It's magical.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay. So we need to okay, so we need to make the wish on the eighth.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you write down, you write down what you want, what you deserve.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, just write it down. Okay, write it down and just keep it somewhere.

SPEAKER_02

Listen to that Madonna song where she goes, If you want it, then you get it. If you need it. Whatever. She says that.

SPEAKER_03

And they also say if you write down your manifestations in blue ink, it's also something that helps like to solidify it. Have you heard that?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well, blue rules throw chakra and it's like communicating, expressing. So I could see that.

SPEAKER_03

Uh okay. A I'm writing in blue ink all my dreams and desires. We're gonna make it work.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, we will. Alright, guys, we love you.

SPEAKER_03

Let's get out of here. See you next time. Bye.
