Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to another episode of Harry's Sorry I'm Late, a Harry Potter podcast. It's me, Coda.
SPEAKER_03And it's me, Alicia.
SPEAKER_04And today we are here to talk about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Chapter 2, The Scar, Chapter 3, The Invitation, and Chapter 4, Back to the Borough. We got a triple dipper feature for y'all this week. Look, we are not playing around when it comes to the Goblet of Fire. It's a nice thick book, and we said we are going to give the people what they want with the full coverage of back-to-back chapters. And I'm excited. It's a very chaotic few chapters as Harry departs from the borough. So go to the Weasley's, thank God, and uh enjoy the Quitters World Cup and all the things. But you know there's got to be some magical chaos before we get there. So we're gonna get all into it in a moment. But before we do, Alicia, how are you?
SPEAKER_03I'm doing okay. I'm doing okay. And you know what? You know who else has the triple dipper? Chilies. Please call us, pick up the phone. We could hold some meet and greet at the chilies.
SPEAKER_04That would actually be such a fun idea. We love a triple dipper.
SPEAKER_03Yes, we do. Um okay, so my how am I doing? I'm doing pretty good. It's it's really hot again over here. I'm sweating through my sheets. I'm like, you know, when you just have to take two showers a day. We're kind of in that right now. So I just feel like kind of ready for fall. And I'm not a fall girl, but I think I'm ready for it.
SPEAKER_04Um what's your what's your season of choice? Summer, spring?
SPEAKER_03Spring. I love being able to see life again. Because winter is my least favorite, especially like a windy winter, and we start seeing like a flower sprout. I'm like, oh my god, there is a reason to live. Like, thank you. I want to say you've said it before. Is your favorite season fall?
SPEAKER_04It's it's fall, winter, but more it's like winter than fall. Oh, winter first than fall.
SPEAKER_03Okay, yes. No, it's good.
SPEAKER_04Yes, I like when it's cold and desolate and everyone's inside and miserable. And like, I yeah, is it like the peace?
SPEAKER_03Like, what is it?
SPEAKER_04Um, something about the solitude, just being inside. I'm also like, I don't like the uncomfort of the heat that comes with the summer and the spring, especially living in the big city like New York, the trash melting on the street, you know, people just you leave your you leave your hot small good by the time you get to where you're going, you're a little, you know, clammy, like all that. I like, you know, I like the the sweaters, the boots, the heart, the hats, the scarves, the peat coats, like all that. Like, yeah. I don't like and then snow to a certain degree, you know, once it gets to be too much and it starts becoming an inconvenience, that's different. But that first fall of the snow when it's just blanketing your town or whatever, all that. I just love the whole aesthetic of that movie.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And how have you been?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, I've been well since the last time I saw you. Nothing, nothing crazy happening in my neck of the woods. This will be my last recording in Maryland before I head back to New York for the rest of August, most likely, and whatnot. But yeah, no, I've been good. I went to see the new Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and uh Zendaya. So it's kind of interesting seeing them and that after just coming off of seeing them in the Odyssey and stuff like that. So they were working, they got a busy summer. I thought it was okay. Nothing, nothing too, I feel like it's just standard Marvel fair at this point. You know what I was thinking about though? I was thinking about how we're talking about Robert Patterson, the last book, because um he's supposed to be starring in the Catch the Predator movie that's coming out, and he was also in the Odyssey. And I was like, that is so funny because he plays a character in the movie The Goblet of Fire. So he does, yeah. He does. I'm not gonna tell you what character, but he in the movie version of the Goblet of Fire, he plays a character.
SPEAKER_03So okay, Robert. Also, I was hanging out with Robert Patterson this weekend too because I was watching the drama. Oh me and my sister were watching that. That just reminded me. And we're both like, this is an original plot for sure. That twist, I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it.
SPEAKER_04Well, I I want to know, I want to know your thoughts. So we're just gonna put a little spoiler right here for the movie, the drama. It came out a few months ago in theaters, it's out on HBO Max now, I think. What were you what were your thoughts on the big reveal of like what Zendaya did or didn't do? Because I personally didn't think it was that big of a deal. Maybe I'm desensitized because of you know living in the US and unfortunately the affliction that plagues the US when it comes to school shootings and stuff like that. But I did not think it was as such a big deal as the way that her quote-unquote friend made it out to seam and all the unraveling that happened. What are your thoughts?
SPEAKER_03So if your cousin was in a wheelchair because some other person took it seriously, completed their mission, you also wouldn't feel some type of way. I mean, that friend was a shitty person. Like her character made me laugh so hard. Okay, here's my take. Can you fall asleep without one eye open for the rest of your life? Knowing what she wanted so badly to do.
SPEAKER_04Me personally, yes. Because I feel like who she was as a kid and as a teenager is not who she is now. And like who amongst us as children didn't have some dark thoughts, especially if we're being bullied or mistreated by our peers? I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I like so many kids that are bullied, they're like, I'm gonna kill all of you, like they say that.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03But she was doing it for like the aesthetic, like girl. That's even weirder.
SPEAKER_04I mean, she was fully going to go through with it until what happened. Something happened.
SPEAKER_03Oh, because I'm she was she let out a shot to kind of test it, but then it like blew her ear, and then she became deaf. And then it triggered like triggered some PTSD episodes throughout her life when she would hear loud noises and other things like that.
SPEAKER_04But then also there was a shooting that happened before she was able to do her plant shooting, and it kind of like took this the wind out of herself. She's like, damn, someone beat me to it or something, and then just seeing her classmates react to losing one of their classmates and then all that. So then she did a 360 and became like a guns, gun piece, whatever advocate. Like, kind of like became the opposite of what she originally was planning to do. So I think because of that, even like her deciding to make that change, not that it absolved her of ever thinking of doing it, but I I felt like I don't know.
SPEAKER_03It was just I don't I think I could get to a place where I could get this out of my head and I could get to a place where we could stay together. But how would you feel if she was never gonna tell you that unprompted?
SPEAKER_04I don't do you feel like you know everything about your partner, especially like at in our adult age where we're like you know mid-20s, 30s, I feel like there's it's almost impossible to know everything about the person that you're with from their childhood.
SPEAKER_03It is, but I do think that's that's very major. So we are now in the omission category, which is a subcategory of dishonest. And maybe next time I see my boyfriend, I'm about to hit him with the what's the worst thing you've ever done, like they say in the movie.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03For this week's keeping it coda.
SPEAKER_04Okay, that's interesting. All right, I see, I see what I see your point. I see what you mean. And that's I like movies like this because when the movie came out in theaters, it was prompting all this discourse around if what she did was as bad as people were making it out to see him. And then, like you said, asking your your significant other that question and kind of seeing what happened. So it's interesting. All right, this is interesting though to see us kind of like on opposite ends, like disagreeing in terms of like, because I feel like, yeah, because in Harry Potter, like as the books evolve, there are going to be characters that we disagree on in terms of like their behaviors and certain story beats or whatever. So this is just a little taste of that. But you know, of course, we're just gonna so I'm a little nervous, but I'm also interested to see how things progress going forward. But yeah, all right, the drama. Yeah, so shout out to Robert Patterson because he's been in the ether of our episodes, and it just so happens, like I said, that he plays a character that's featured in this book that we'll be meeting soon, I think in chapter five or chapter six.
SPEAKER_03So shout out to you, Robert Patterson. And if you want to send us a listener out telling us that you want to co-host, we would love.
SPEAKER_04And we could do it in person too.
SPEAKER_03You can come to my oh, and after hours of all right, let's get into these reviews.
SPEAKER_04Yes, yes. All right, so we got a new five-star review over on Apple Podcast. Thanks so much for leaving us one. Make sure to leave us a five-star review if you enjoy our discussions of Harry Potter and whatever else that comes up. Um, but this one comes from Ash2422. And it says, My all-time favorite podcasts. And I'm not even a podcast person, lol, but I love this show. It's gonna be like a summer at the Derseys without y'all. Dang. I hope y'all come back at least by September 1st. And look at this here on August, y'all. I am so excited for Alicia to get into this fourth book because it's about to get really an all caps real. Not gonna lie, I'm torn between wishing I could binge listen to the whole show and being glad y'all will be recording forever if y'all keep doing a chapter or two per week or three, you never know. And then the movies. Oh, look at you, laid it out for us. And yes, to some live recordings and videos because I would have loved to see Alicia's face when she saw under the Dementor's Hood LOL all caps. And that comes from S2422. Thank you for that five-star review. We really, really appreciate it. Yes, look, we are here, and yeah, it's gonna be a nice long journey for us as we go through these seven books, but you just never know what the future holds. And yeah, thank you so much for listening, and we really appreciate you uh uh um announcing us as your all-time favorite podcast because we're one of one, all right.
SPEAKER_03Thank you.
SPEAKER_04Without further ado, let's go ahead and jump right on into Harry Potter and the Goblet Friar, chapter two, the scar. Because, like I said, we are doing three chapters today. So let's just get on into it and not waste any more time. Let's do it. So, chapter two, the scar. This is basically like the recap chapter of Harry's story that we usually get at the beginning of each book. And I feel like the author does this just in case that someone like picks up this book randomly out of order and decides to read it, they kind of get a little context as to what's been going on in the story so far. So it's very much it adds it it includes all the information of how Harry got to be here with the scar and his parents dying by the dark wizard and all that stuff. So that's what this chapter is giving. So it's not a lot of new information, but it's still we still get a little bit. So we basically start this chapter with where we ended chapter one, with Harry being awoken by his lightning bolt shaped scar and paint. Now he puts his glasses on, gets up from his bed, and to his wardrobe mirror to get a better look at himself. And in his mirror's reflection, he sees himself, 14-year-old boy with his bright green eyes, black messy hair, and his unique light and gold-shaped scar, looking normal as ever, except for now, in this moment, the staining pain that had awoken him. Now, Harry tries his hardest to remember what he was dreaming about as it has seemed so real, and he recalls seeing two people he knew and one he didn't. And he goes on to concentrate even harder and basically remembers the events of chapter one at the Riddle House with Frank Bryce, Tom Riddle, and Wormtail. So we can conclude as readers that it was in fact not a dream, even though Harry thinks it was. But basically, he everything that we saw in chapter one go down is what Harry was quote unquote dreaming about. But the one thing that he does remember from the dream, slash not dream, was that people were plotting to kill him, as always. And of course, the Dark Lord is at the middle of it all. So, what else is new? Poor boy. So Harry needed to ground himself a bit. So he took to his bedroom surroundings and he sees all of his Hogwarts belongings. He sees Hedogina's cage empty as usual, because you know the girl's never home. She's out and about as usual. And we see an open Quidditch book flying with the cannons. But even his favorite sport, Quidditch, couldn't distract him in this moment. So he went to his window to look out at Privet Drive, which looks like its usual suburban mundane self. So he sits back down on his bed, rubbing his scar and thinks that it's not the pain coming from the scar that bothers him, as Harry had quite a few unusual, painful, magic-related mishaps from his disappearing bones in his right arm back in Chamber Secrets, shot to Lockhart, to that same arm being pierced by a venomous fang from an ancient evil snake, also in Chamber Secrets. Like he was just going through with that book. Also, Hermione, let's not forget about all her uh mishaps in that book. But and then even just last year, falling 50 free from the airborne broom. So Harry is no stranger to magical pain. But what bothered Harry was that the last time his scar hurt, it had been because Voldemort was nearby. And surely Voldemort couldn't be anywhere near Harry right now on the Muggle Street of Private Drive. Or could he? So Harry is sitting still, listening to his surroundings, thinking he might hear an evil wizard approaching. But there's nothing besides a large snore from Dudley that gives him a little startle. And he was becoming a little paranoid. He's like, all right, let me just calm down. There was no one in this godforsaken house besides his family, if you can even call them that, the Dearsleys. So Harry's now thinking about the Dearsleys and how he was never able to, he would never be able to confide in them about anything going on in his life, let alone anything magical. So, like just the idea of telling them in the morning that his scar hurt and it may have been because of some connection to the dark wizard of Voldemort was just like laughable. Like they were like, boy, like not only would they ignore him, but they wouldn't even take him seriously. So now Harry's thinking about his friends, Ron and Hermione, looking at the birthday cards they had just sent him for his birthday that had just passed at the end of July, July 31st. And he's thinking of Hermione's uh response to him telling her about his scar hurting, and he's just thinking of Hermione's stroke panic and her urging Harry to write to Dumbledore and tasking herself with looking in a book called Common Magical Ailments and Afflictions for Cursed Scars. But Harry doubted a book would help him in this case, as his situation with Voldemort was uniquely his own. As for informing Dumbledore, Harry didn't even know what Dumbledore did during the summer where he went, like, and it just amused him to think of Dumbledore with his long silver beard laid out on a beach somewhere, rubbing Sunset lotion on himself. Like, just like he couldn't even imagine that. Like, you know, Dumbledore, of course, has this mystery to him.
SPEAKER_03What if Dumbledore and Herwagina were out having Euro summer together? April spritzes out the ass, and they're just like, fish posh, mama. Let's keep going.
SPEAKER_04I can actually I could actually see that. I could actually see that for him. And then Hedrugina somehow is able to communicate with Dumbledore that Harry's safe and just like, you know, keeping keeping tabs on Harry for Dumbledore. I love that. But even still, if Harry wanted to reach uh Dumbledore, funny that you bring Hadruina up because Harry is like saying basically Hedrughina could find anyone that Harry needed her to. So, like, if he did write to Dummodore, what would he even write? And he kind of is thinking in his head and he says, Dear Professor Drummondor, sorry to bother you, but my scar hurt this morning. You're sincerely Harry Potter. And him just even thinking that sounded stupid. So he's like, No, I'm not gonna do that. So he now turned to his other friend Ron and thinking what Ron would like say. And it he just thinks that Ron would pretty much just suggest that he doubts that Voldemort was nearby, and if he was, he would actively be trying to kill him. So that doesn't make sense. And maybe scars just hurt from time to time, but he would ask his dad just in case. And though Ron's dad, Arthur Weasley, was fully qualified and may have some helpful knowledge, the idea of the entire Weasley family knowing of Harry being troubled by his scar pain didn't sit right with him. As Molly Weasley, Ron's mom, would definitely make a fuss about it for the rest of the summer into the school year. So and Harry considered the Weasley family his favorite family in the world, which I thought was so sweet, and was hoping that they would invite him to stay with them for the rest of the summer and for the Quidditch World Cup, which Ron had mentioned at the end of the school year, last school year. And he didn't want to bring the mood down by bringing up his scar pain. I think it's so interesting how like Harry just doesn't want to be a bother to anybody. He's like, I can reach out to this person, but no, they're gonna think this, or I can reach out to this person, no. Like, it's just like, oh my god, I just wish someone he had someone that he could talk to about like this thing that he's going through.
SPEAKER_03I I did too. I have a question about the location of the lightning bolts. I know I've seen it, but is it like on his third eye? Would you say no?
SPEAKER_04It's off to the side a little bit. I don't know if it's on his left side or right side, but it's not dead smack in the middle. Okay. I I'm pretty sure it's yeah.
SPEAKER_03I was just thinking that that would be extra torturous because there's CIA tactic where if you put just a droplet of water, like one by one, very slowly, on someone's third eye, they go crazy. Because you're like blocking their energetic center. It's like yeah, isn't that so cool? I thought that was fascinating. I was gonna use the word cool, but I'm sure that's torturous. And I was like, okay, if I have this scar in my third eye that's like wincing pain, it's like extra, extra like torturous.
SPEAKER_04Not the CIA knowing about chakras and using it to do their evil deeds. Oh lord.
SPEAKER_03Oh, they know so much. I mean, if you ever look up, there's a number called Fi there's like a code called 5515. And so if you're ever in a lot of pain, you just keep thinking of the number 55515, and your pain will subside a little bit. And they've done studies on this number. I know, I know. The rabbit hole is crazy. It's 55515. Okay, you're looking at me like, girl, this girl gets weirder and weirder.
SPEAKER_04It's interesting, and god forbid I'm ever in that amount of pain that I need to channel that number, but it does feel very witchy, very magical. So that's what's kind of fascinating me about it. I have a book on chakras that I bought. You know, sometimes you'd be buying books and you never get around to reading them. So I'm looking at it right now, it's just been sitting there for like at least a year. But the more you like talk about all these things, I'm screaming, what is this? At least you're smelling me a book.
SPEAKER_03I have that energy massage. Yeah, but there's a naked woman on it, so we gotta blur it out for the Patreon.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yes. But oh, okay, yeah. So it's just it's just all fascinating. As much as this world can seem so mundane and boring, and I guess like sometimes I think like magic is supposed to show up, or magic would show up in this world in a certain way, like I don't know, advertise the last airbender, or like spellcasting and stuff like that. It's sometimes it shows up in different ways, like through chakras and astrology and all that stuff. So I feel like it's it's all around us sometimes. So definitely, yeah, interesting. Yeah, so Harry thought to himself some more about what he really wanted: an adult wizard whose advice he could ask without feeling stupid, someone who cared about him, who had experience with dark magic, apparent. And he even felt shameful to admit that to himself, like that's who he was most yearning for in this moment to confide it in. But then it came to him, and why he didn't he think of it sooner? His godfather, Sirius Flack. So he springs up from his bed and onto his table for some parchment and ink and begins his letter, cutting himself some slack for not thinking of Sirius sooner, as he had only found out he was his godfather two months ago. And even though, due to the events at the end of the last school term, Harry couldn't live with Sirius as he planned and was offered to him by Sirius, Sirius had helped make his living situation at the Durce's just a little bit better. Thanks to Sirius, Harry could now keep all of his Hogwarts school things with him in his bedroom because prior to this, all of his things would be locked away for the summer until it was time for him to return to Hogwarts the following school year by the Durcies. But thanks to their knowledge of Harry's dangerous, murderous godfather, of which Harry forgot to mention he was innocent. So the Dercies, the Dirceys were acting like they had a little bit of sense now. It's like you better treat me right before my murderous godfather comes and gets y'all. Harry had received two letters from Sirius since summer started, um, but they weren't delivered by usual owls, but instead, bright colored tropical birds, of which Harugina did not approve of and was even hesitant to let them drink from her water tray. I'm like, Herugina, like we've noticed between these birds and then pidwoodgin or whatever that we will see in the next chapter or so. Hadugina could be, I mean, we've known this about our girl. She's a little bit sooty, a little bit clever.
SPEAKER_03No, I think she's racist. I think these are microaggressions, macroaggressions.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, not you claiming our girl Headwagina is racist on your little bigot.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna call her Headwood Gina, because Hedwigina would not be racist.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Like, girl, you're barely homing up as it is. Like you, God forbid that you share your damn water tray with some birds of color. It's giving water fountain, it's giving segregated water fountains, child.
SPEAKER_03Also, Hedwigina, you live on Privet Drive, okay? Your roommates are Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and that fuck ass son. You have not a single leg to stand on. At least they got sun where they live. They got music. They're probably in the Caribbean.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_03You're in Britain. I'm sorry. Not the same.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god. I did not expect us to be whacking haven't like this and this.
SPEAKER_03I think this is the first time she's gotten whacked, and I whacked her good.
SPEAKER_04Look, no one is above a good whacking. Oh my god. Only us will come up with this shit. Okay. And you know what? I pride ourselves in our podcast. Like, there's just something about discussing these books with you know, okay. I'll just I'll just compare it to other hair fodder podcasts that I've listened to, ours just has a unique flavor to it, and I'll just leave it there. Okay, all right. So, yeah, so Hadou Geneva was acting kind of funny when it came to these birds of color, but Harry did not mind them because it reminded the birds reminded him of palm trees and white sands, and Cyrus perhaps being somewhere warm and comforting, which is much better than where he used to be at Azkaban with the damn Dementors and all that. So seeing these colorful birds, colorful big birds that were being sent by Cyrus was very nice. So now Harry begins his letter to his godfather, Sirius, mentioning the colorful large birds, Dudley's diet not going as planned, and the Dirstys being fearful that Sirius may turn up and turn them into bats if Harry asked. So he goes on to mention his scar hurting and that the last time it did, it was because Voldemort was at Hogwarts. But could he be near Harry now at Priver Drive? And he also asks Sirius if Chris's scar sometimes hurt years afterwards. Harry ends the letter saying he'll send this letter with Hetwogino whenever she decides to come back from being out and about. Uh as right now, she's out hunting. Okay, fair enough. And also Harry mentions to say hello to Buckbeak. Shout out to Buckbeak. So Harry decides there's no point in mentioning the dream as he didn't want to look too worried. I'm like, Harry, the dream is the most important part in all this. Like, yes, your scar hurts, and that is important to you, but the fact that you're dreaming of Voldemort and Warmtail and someone else and the mention of them trying to kill you, like you would think that would be the main thing you want to mention to someone that you can trust and confide in. But you think, nope, I'm not gonna mention it. I don't want to overdo it. Like, Harry, come on. Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_03We've seen this behavior from Harry before when he was speaking parcel tongue and he wouldn't say anything, or if he was like understanding what the snake was like implying with the chamber of secrets, and he kept it to himself, kept it to himself. And then bad things always happen when he keeps it to himself. And it's like, at what point are you gonna lean on your community?
SPEAKER_04Lean on your community, know that you're not alone, and like they're not gonna look at you like you're crazy. Matter of fact, they'll probably have more knowledge or insight that could help you get through this. But he's 14, so stubbornness thinking he can do it all alone. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Also, for Spider-Man for 12 years of his life, he has had to do everything alone, so a lot of it is like unconditioning of his entire existence.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03What happened to Spider-Man?
SPEAKER_04That's fair. No, I was just gonna say, a Spider-Man deals with a little bit of the male loneliness epidemic, and I feel like Harry is going through that a little bit, but I feel like I don't know, I feel like the male loneliness epidemic touches more on like insult nature and like boys or men going through that, you know, because of their own shit. Harry's just going through it because of like past trauma, I feel like I just think it's interesting how like a lot of that's coming up in a lot of the media that I'm consuming right now. Have you seen the movie Obsession?
SPEAKER_03Yes, I have. I've seen major parts of it because I had to take some breaks, and I thought it was an incredible movie. I will say that it was just so disturbing as a woman to watch it. Like how much a particular type of man is okay with taking from us without seeing us as human. It's like they strip, they strip, they strip, and then they get confused as to when there's nothing left of us. It's like they excavate our essence in such a violent way.
SPEAKER_04Interesting. Uh, I feel like we need to have a whole separate something to discuss movies.
SPEAKER_02I see it in your eyes. You're like, hold on, this girl actually said something.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm like so fascinated by your thoughts. But I will just say I did not see it for the main character, Bear, from the beginning. I thought he looked so sloppy and disgusting and like musty, and his hair looked clammy. He just looked, I'm like, you cannot think that you can approach a woman or a girl like this and talking about some I like you and think that she's gonna be open and receptive to that. So he would just piss me off with that whole nice guy, what was me, meek approach that he was going for. And then once he did the wish and he kind of got her under his control, whatever. And then at one point, I don't know if you remember the scene where like the real her came, like was like came like it was in the middle of the night, and the real her showed up and she's like, please kill me, like please free me, or whatever. And he hit her back with, What's so wrong with being with me? I said, Bitch, you evil motherfucker, the real her is coming out right now, trying to actually be freed, and you're making this about you and making it seem like you're the victim in this, like her not wanting to be with you is like somehow her. I was over him. I was over him, I was over.
SPEAKER_03See, I started watching my family, was watching it, so I started watching it post-Wish. So I was like, What's this about? So I never even saw like his normal self and her normal self and their first interaction, but I now that makes it even worse that he was like all clammy and lame.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you yeah, if you yeah, if you have time, I think well I think you yeah, but uh yeah, the full context will blow your mind, and it's a very interesting movie. Um, I don't know. This is like I'm I I feel like I'm trying to give Alicia so much to do, but I'm like, now maybe we need a little spin-off where we come on to discuss movies. Uh well look, the Patreon is coming out, so stay tuned. If y'all are interested in that, if y'all are movie buffs and you would like to hear our thoughts on other movies and stuff like that, no, let us know. Let us know. Send us an email message on Instagram. But, anyways, let me end this chapter. Um, but so yeah, so he decides not to mention the dream of seeing Vladimir and Wormtow and Frank Bryce and all that, even though you didn't know it was Frank Bryce. And he folds up the letter and he lays it on his desk for Harugina and goes back to his wardrobe. This time not looking at his reflection, and he starts to get dressed for breakfast. And that is how we end Harry Potter than Goblin of Fire, chapter two, the scar. Interesting chapter. Like I said, it was mostly a recap chapter. That's why I kind of felt like our discussion of it was kind of brief, but we did get, you know, some a lot of self-reflection from Harry in terms of the pain that he's experiencing with his scar, his him reaching out to Sirius, and just kind of seeing where things go. So we'll see how this dream, not dream that Harry had comes into play in future chapters. What are your thoughts on this chapter? Cute little short chapter.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I I thought it was interesting. Now we know that Sirius Black is more than likely in a tropical place. He's still with Buckwink, which is cute because I forgot they were together. And then we're kind of seeing Harry's mindset of who can I turn on, who can I turn to, and what is worth turning like what is worth where what is worth revealing and kind of still being distrusting of help. You know, kind of reminds me of like a dog where like they want they want to ask you for help, but they're just not sure how to really communicate that, at least like a rescue dog. I see that a lot with my dog, Rico. But hopefully over time he'll start to build the confidence to ask for help because he's worthy of help, and we're all worthy of help, you know. So if anyone's listening out there and there's been something, you're like, I should tell a friend about this, but why would why would I put that on their plate? Like, you're not a burden. That's what friendship is for, that's what community is for. Lean in and you will be caught, you know.
SPEAKER_04You know, I was just here as a quick story, real quick. It's so crazy how things in this book, and then the things when you mention it, it's like reflective of like things that I'm going through in my current life. But towards the end of my first year of my acting program, I had this less than stellar scene partner that I had to work with. And just like things like you know, not being able to rehearse and just not me having to do a lot of the legwork and us working together, and then also just all right, let me not be just let me not let me keep it BC. Um, but just not I wasn't enthused to work with him, even though I came to it with an open heart, open, like, let's work together. Like, but even before we were assigned to work together, I had already felt a little off about him. Oops, about them. But yeah, so it was just a little, but then as we began our work together, I was like, I I felt like I was pulling teeth. I just I felt like my work was suffering having to work with him. And one of my friends, one of my classmates, was telling me, like, oh, I should talk to the teacher about it, because she does not play when it comes to people not being able to rehearse and all that stuff, because that's part of the deal when you're signed for this program, because this is partner work, you need to rehearse before you come to class, stuff like that. So she will like set them straight. And I was like, no, I don't want to burden her. Like, this is like my issue to deal with. Like, a lot of times you're on set, sometimes actors will be having to act along some, act along aside someone that they don't get along with. And we as a viewing public, we will never know when we see the final product because of their acting and they're doing so good at like acting that you will never know about all the behind-the-scenes drama. So that was kind of the approach I was taking to it. I was like, even though like we're not vibing, let's just try to still do good work and like let me not burden my teacher with it or whatever. But one class session, my teacher kind of just like went in on me, like in the sense that she was like, I don't know what's going on today, but you seem so closed off, you seem unreceptive to the feedback that I'm giving you, like, what's going on? And I was saying, I was telling her, I don't know. And she hates that. She's like, Don't tell me you don't know. Like, you're an actor, you need to be able to express your feelings and like communicate. This is a collaboration, like, don't give me that. And I had kind of just thrown my hands up, and part of it was my frustration with my partner because we hadn't been able to rehearse before that class. But again, I didn't want to throw him under the bus or try to blame him for my poor work or whatever. So she was just like done with me. She was like, Look, year two is not a guarantee for anyone in this class, like, you have to be invited back to that way you're acting. Yeah, and there's the way that you're acting now, like towards the end of our first year, it's like you take so many steps forward and then you kind of regress or whatever. Like, just going in on me, you know, I'm just saying they're taking it. That's you know, as an actor, you kind of just have to take your legs or whatever. So it was just a very tough time for me, but it wasn't until some more shit was going down in our class and she had to address the class as a whole because there's other people that are also dealing with similar things with their partners not being able to rehearse, yada, yada, yada. So she kind of sent out an emo blast to all of us saying, like, I've been getting reports that people aren't rehearsing and people aren't like showing up, people not knowing their lines, people not coming to class, or just like really dragging us off pretty much. And then finally, in our end-of-year-like one-on-one discussion, she's like, Yeah, I know that you're having issues with him because other people, when they're partnering with him, were also having issues with him. And but I can't do anything about it if you guys don't come to me and let me know. And basically saying, like, you know, this is a collaboration, like, so just being able to like let's form that relationship, let's have that relationship where you can come to me and express these things to me so we can, you know, I can help you where possible, or whatever. So it's just a kind of eye-opening moment for me in terms of like, you know, leaning on people that are open and willing to be there for you or whatever, and not having to suffer in silence or go through it all alone, um, similar to Harry. So yeah, that was it was a very interesting last month I just had, but it was kind of a revelation. And now reading these chapters and talking to you about it. I'm like, wow, Harry and I are kind of the same in this way, especially when your teacher has laid it out.
SPEAKER_03You guys can come to me if you have conflicts, and you you knew she said that and you didn't. And then just like Harry, she got mad for you not not doing that. Like, imagine someone getting mad at you for not coming to them for help. Like, that's how we should see our friends, our family. Like, they should be pissed if they find out that we're not leaning on them, and like trust that that is a role that they have. But I'm glad that you guys got that squared out. I hope that that man is gonna be better in a year or two, but steer clear.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. So it was interesting, it was interesting. But uh, the connections that you make to the visiting world of Harry Potter is just so crazy. That's why these books I feel like are kind of timeless. This what book came out like 20 something years ago at this point, and like you can still connect it to your real life parallels. And they say that like sometimes with watching a movie or reading a book, like depending on when you watch it or experience it in your life, you get different meanings from it and stuff like that. So it's interesting. All right, well, to lighten the mood a little bit, let's do a quick let's do a quick little whiz quiz for chapter two, the scar. Alicia, are you ready?
SPEAKER_03Yes, I'm ready.
SPEAKER_04All right. Question number one: how old is Harry at the start of this chapter slash book?
SPEAKER_03Harry is now 14 years old.
SPEAKER_04That is correct. When is Harry's birthday? You can give me the month and the day.
SPEAKER_03August 31st. No, July. July. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_04July 31st. That is correct. Oh, this is I didn't mention this in the chapter, but what video game console did Dudley chuck out his window after getting angry with his parents?
SPEAKER_03He chucked out a PlayStation.
SPEAKER_04That is correct. What was the name of the Quidditch book that lied open in Harry's bedroom?
SPEAKER_03No please.
SPEAKER_04Alright, fair enough. It was Flying with the Cannons.
SPEAKER_03And the final question, huh?
SPEAKER_04Actually, the second to final question: what department did Arthur Weasley work in at the Ministry of Magic?
SPEAKER_03Something weapons?
SPEAKER_04Hmm. Okay, interesting. It was the misuse of Muggle artifacts office. So that's why he's so fascinated with everything Muggle, because you know he's just that's his that's his work. So yes, and we'll see that in chapter four. Okay, finally, what were the Dirseys afraid Sirius would turn them into if only Harry asked? What animal were the Durseys afraid Sears would turn them into if Harry asked.
SPEAKER_03I want to say a pig because Hagrid was turning Dudley into like he gave him pig's tail, but maybe a dog. But I don't think they would know the T about Sirius being a dog. They know he's a criminal, allegedly. I'm gonna say pig.
SPEAKER_04Okay. The correct answer was bats. Bats, bats, bats, bats. Alright, three out of six, not bad. I failed. Look, you're coming off a high off the last chapter, so it's okay. I'll give it to you. Alright, and now without further ado, let's jump on into Harry Potter and the Goblet Fire. Chapter 3, the Invitation.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so chapter 3, the invitation, picks up right where chapter 2 left off, which is that Harry's on his way to breakfast. When he gets downstairs, his so-called family is already eating without him as usual. And JK notes that Dudley was taking up even more space at the table than normal. He has gained quite a few pounds. This kid was in a bit of hot water after his last school year wrapped up. He did not make the best marks, and he had a really bad report card because of that. And apparently the Dursleys were told that Dudley had been bullying some students. Not only that, but the school nurse wrote a letter saying that she was very concerned because their son no longer fit into the school uniform, and that was their largest size.
SPEAKER_04It's giving childhood obesity.
SPEAKER_03It is, you know, it is. And JK wrote that he is the same size and weight as a young killer whale. Felt like that was a little unnest.
SPEAKER_04That's a bit much, but okay.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it is a lot much. I can't right now. One thing that the parents could not explain away was his weight because they could be like, no, no, and even on Putinia, she tried to say my son wouldn't hurt a fly. Ma'am, we have witnessed his one-to-punch on Harry, book one, book two.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03That's just a lie. It's just a lie. So, because of that school note, after many arguments about the topic that shook the Dursley home, it was settled. Dudley is on a diet. All the cakes in the refrigerator, all the sweets were thrown out, and they were replaced by quote unquote rabbit food. So fruits, vegetables, Michelle Obama's lunch dreams.
SPEAKER_04Shout out to that initiative. We were yeah, I think I was in school during that time. We were really over it because all our I think I was in middle school at the time. The vending machines got taken out. We got replaced with healthy shit. We're like, what the fuck is this? Oh goodness, a time.
SPEAKER_02Zendaya would have added her to the list. She went into school with her vending machine snacks.
SPEAKER_04I appreciate the effort. I appreciate what she was trying to do. Did it work? Oh, for sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Harry had the sense to have a call out to his people now. So now he wants to ask for help because once he started, I forgot to say this, but Um Petunia realized okay, if I'm gonna have my son on the diet to make him feel better, I'm gonna have the household on a diet.
SPEAKER_04Now, this is weird to stuff too far. As the skinny mini of the family, I'll be damned if I have to go on this healthy diet because my fattest fuck cousin is obese, and the nurse said he needs to eat some healthy shit before he gets uh stage one diabetes or whatever. Like, absolutely not. You're not about to have me eating rabbit food because of him and so solidarity, especially when I don't like the motherfucker. It'd be one thing if we're like or a couple or something, we're doing a meal plan together, trying to eat healthy together. But like, why do I have to eat this healthy shit against my free will because of him? I'll be so over it. Y'all barely feed me as it is when it comes to Harry. Now you have me to eat fucking sticks and carrots and celery and shit. I'd be so over it.
SPEAKER_03And plus, Umpa Tunia to make Dirsee feel even less bad, decided that she would always give I'm sorry, Dudley more food than Harry. And we're talking about a slice of grapefruit. That's what she's feeding them for breakfast. Even Uncle Verna is starving. So Harry wrote to all his people. He said, Let me call Gene and I'll make it. He started writing to, he even he wrote to Hagrid, Ron, and Hermione. So Hermione, because her parents own a dentist practice, she sent him all these sugar-free snacks, and he's been storing all the snacks under the floorboard. So the whole time that he's at the breakfast table, he's like, I can't wait for real breakfast.
SPEAKER_04Go serious to my roots.
SPEAKER_03Mrs. Weasley was shocked at this news. She sent him a fruitcake and meat pies. Poor Errol took five days to recover from that drop off.
SPEAKER_04The fact that she still has to work in her Ron got a new owl, I'm like, oh my gosh. If I was Errol, I'm like, uh-uh. Sears Black gave Ron a new owl. Y'all need to use that as a family delivery owl so I can retire. But Molly Weasley said, not on my watch, bitch. You live in here, you're gonna work. Poor Errol.
SPEAKER_03So they they sent an elderly Earl with that package. And if a letter is hard enough for him to deliver, let alone these meat cakes and meat pies and fruitcakes, that poor thing. Hagrid also sent something. I don't know why Harry reached out to him because it even says that Harry doesn't trust what Hagrid cooks. He sent him a rock cake, so he just chose not to eat it. And then it had just been his birthday, so a lot of them had sent them different cakes, and he was excited to eat that too. For this week's Keeping It Coda, if Harry sent you a SOS, bitch, I'm hungry. What are you delivering him?
SPEAKER_04I would send him things that I personally like to eat, but I think Carrie would also like to eat. The first thing that came to mind was a tuna salad with some bread from there's a nice bread that I like from Trader Joe's. I don't know if it's Shibata, it's something, but you put that in the air fryer with a nice tuna salad. It makes a perfect snackslash lunch. But I don't know if the smell of tuna I guess it would it, I guess it would have to be things that you can keep on, like not in the fridge. So maybe not that. But peanut butter and jelly. I feel like that's a good, you know, go-to. I'll do peanut butter and jelly, I'd give some chips, some cookies, some crackers.
SPEAKER_03You could give him the canned tuna, like all the ingredients to make his own, and give him that nice Trader Joe's bread. I knew you were gonna go to Trader Joe's for him, though. That wasn't even a question.
SPEAKER_04I love your Trader Joe's, yes, absolutely. And some type of like a fizzy soda, like a spritzer, like a lemon, lemon soda or something.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that sounds really good. Okay, so now we're back at the table. Uncle Vernon asked if this really was all the food because it was just great fruit. And Uncle Tunia was like, Well, yes. And then the doorbell rang, and while Uncle Vernon would got up to answer the door, his no-good son snatched the remaining fruit off of his father's plate. Which honestly, I don't even blame him for it because he's hungry as fuck.
SPEAKER_04Well, the point of this diet is that he needs to be eating less, so maybe he does need to be a little bit hungry if he wants to get a little bit skinnier. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_02I hope Ariana Grande is not listening to this.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, the whole debate around her right now. Ooh, what an interesting did you see her address it during one of her concerts?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I didn't see the whole pedal music video, but I saw clips and little snippets. She does look very interesting to if if that's how you can describe it. I don't I like her music. I'm not like any super. Fan or whatever, but I'm like, ooh, yeah. But I just feel like this is such an interesting, touchy subject because just like Chadwick Bozeman, I don't know if you remember with him when people were like talking about how his appearance and stuff like that, and then it came out later that he was diagnosed with cancer and going through that battle. So sometimes it's like it's better not to say anything when you notice the celebrity's appearance drastically changed, but then also it's like you people can't just ignore what's in front of them. But I don't know. At the end of the day, we don't know these people personally, so and they are public figures, so it's tricky.
SPEAKER_03They are public figures. Chad was not posing on an angular basis using contour and shadows and flashing bone. And there is a competitiveness to eating disorders, it's a disordered way of thinking. And obviously, I'm not a licensed therapist, but if I was a betting person, I would not say that this was I think she has a disordered way of eating and disordered way of living. And I'll leave it there. I don't think that her relationship with food is healthy. It it's just very eerie. And considering how much weight that she dropped alongside Cynthia, and there is that competitive element, like I've seen it in real life. And some of the lyrics to her songs, it's almost like y'all made this version of me here. Are you happy? It's almost like she's punishing. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01Interesting.
SPEAKER_03We we can drop it, it's just I can't watch that video, and I don't want to listen to the to the project anymore.
SPEAKER_04Wow.
SPEAKER_03It's a it's a that's a hard line for me. And if you have kids, young girls, you probably should not have them watch that. Okay, so Uncle Vernon gets his ass out to answer the door, his food gets stolen on the way back, and he starts to open something, and all of a sudden Harry goes, In the living room, Harry, now Harry's like, what the hell did I do? And Uncle Vernon starts saying, So, so and Harry wanted to be like, so but he knows it's not the time. Sassy Harry cannot come out this early in the morning. And he says, I got a letter about you. And I oop Harry's mind starts racing. Who would send a muggle letter to him? Uncle Vernon begins to read it out loud. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, we haven't been introduced yet, but you must have been told a lot about my son Ron. As Harry might have told you, the Quidditch World Cup final takes place this Monday night, and my husband, Arthur, has uh got us tickets. We hope you grant us permission to bring Harry with us, as these tickets are so hard to get, and Britain hasn't hosted this match for 30 years. The plan would be for Harry to come stay with us for the next two weeks after the game is done, and we will send him off to school ourselves. It's best you respond to us in the quote unquote normal way, because the muggle postman has never actually delivered to our home. Hoping to see Harry soon, Mary Weasley. P.S. I do hope that we have put enough stamps on this. Uncle Vernon finished reading finished reading the letter and held up the envelope, which was completely covered in stamps. Harry to break the ice said, Well, she did put enough stamps.
SPEAKER_04This is not the time.
SPEAKER_03Uncle Vernon said it ain't the time. Uncle Vernon says, Well, the postman also noticed that. And he was so intrigued to see who sent this that he personally rang the doorbell and left. Harry knew that this was a really bad thing. The Dursleys wanted no one to know that anyone in their house was in any shape connected to the muggle world, to the magical world. Boldly breaking the silence, Harry muttered, So can I go?
SPEAKER_04To address this letter. What's a giving? Is it go giving I can go?
SPEAKER_03What do you think of Mrs. Weasley's letter?
SPEAKER_04I think it's a very sweet gesture and bless her heart because technically they have seen each other in person before. I think when Harry was being dropped off by the jerseys at the plat uh King's Cross Station and Molly was, you know, wrangling all 10 of her kids or whatever. But obviously, our uh Uncle Vernon being as nasty as he is, he's never thought it prudent to go over and introduce himself to her as since you know their children, so to speak, are friends or whatever. So I thought it was nice of Molly to kind of introduce herself formally in this way through this letter. And of course, the standard she doesn't know how this muggle communication skill muggle communication method works. So she's just trying to do her diligence to make sure that the letter gets to him. But I thought it was nice of her explaining that she wants to invite Harry to stay with him for the rest of the summer. It's totally okay with her and Arthur. She'll make sure she gets to Hogwarts safely and the importance of this Quidditch World Cup and the fact that it hasn't happened in Britain for such a long time that this is a very special occasion. I just thought it was the perfect way of going about it. It reminds me of like in our lives, like a friend asking a parent asking another parent if their kid can come over for a sleepover or something like that. It seems very reasonable.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. I agree. Although Uncle Vernon would never want to intentionally make Harry happy, an extra two weeks without his least favorite family member doesn't sound like a bad thing. So he's instead of saying yes, you can go, he asks, and who is this lady? Oh, Harry says, Oh, she's the one who was at the Hogwarts, and he didn't want to say Hogwarts Express. He said, He was she was the woman at the train station. Hmm. That dumpy woman with loads of children and red hair. Harry's like, I know you ain't calling my besties, mom dumpy. And your son is fully on weight whale watchers. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Dumpy is crazy with loads of children. That's a not too much. Just because you have one kid compared to her 10 child.
SPEAKER_03And not that it matters, but like she's married.
SPEAKER_04Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03This is an Irish family. You don't know what that is?
SPEAKER_04Still, married or not. Sometimes I be, I think I just saw someone in the airport the other day, a married couple, and they had like five or six kids, all under seven. I said, My God. I said, Y'all are not playing. Like, oh on one hand, like the idea of having like an a very large family on one hand is very sweet, but I think it's sweeter once you see like everyone's grown up, and it's like grandpa and grandma are like the you know matrix and then the kids and their kids, and you know that, like, but seeing it in this form where they're all just running around in tiny tots and the mom's stressed out, the dad is useless. I'm like, that does not look appealing at all.
SPEAKER_03But to Ishroom, the older kid has to take care of the younger, and it's like, and the older kid turns around and is like, I never want to have kids because I became a mother at 10.
SPEAKER_04I speak on it.
SPEAKER_03And then Uncle Vernon says, and what is Quidditch? Harry at first is about to say it's a broom, and he's like, Oh, it's a sport. And what did she mean? Send it in the normal way, anyways. Harry says, I'll post. That's how we send things in the magical world. Uncle Vernon does not like the word magical, and he says, I told you not to mention that unnatural place. You're very ungrateful for someone that we clothe and feed. And he's like, Y'all barely clothed me. My side, my clothing is always left over from my cousin, and he's like 10 times my size. I always have to fold my shirts and like we've seen this, like he even will be given like wet socks or just gross stuff. This upset Uncle Vernon really much, very much, but Harry studied himself. And he goes, Alright, Uncle, fine, no world cut for me. May I go now? I'm gonna send a letter to my little godfather.
SPEAKER_04I love the way Harry's just coming into his own when it comes to the ways he goes about getting what he wants. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_03That shook Uncle Vernon. And he says, You've been writing him? And Harry's like, well, yes, if he doesn't hear from me, he will think that something's not right. And Uncle Vernon had to say yes. Fuck it. You can go. You tell the Weaslies they need to come get you. We're not dropping you off. Tell your godfather that you're gonna go, okay? Harry played it cool on the exit, but he saw that there was a very peeved cousin of his spying on the outside. What a lovely breakfast, wasn't that, cousin? And Harry ran his ass to his room as to not get attacked by his very hungry arch nemesis. When he got back into the room, Hedwigina had returned from where she came from, but she looked very annoyed. It was soon clear as to why. A miniature owl was racing around and even boffed Harry on the head. Harry opens the letter that that owl had given him and it says, Harry, Dad got the tickets. Ireland versus Bulgaria. Not sure if you got the muggle letter yet, so I sent this too. We're coming, we're coming whether they like it or not. If they say yes, send pig back with a response, and we'll see you at five o'clock on Sunday. And if they say no, the same thing. We'll see you five o'clock on Sunday.
SPEAKER_04Fuck what the muggle said. Which is honestly, yeah. I love that energy. I love their energy.
SPEAKER_03Me too, because I was at first I was like, why are they asking permission? Like, just come get him.
SPEAKER_04I guess.
SPEAKER_03But I see now it was just a formality.
SPEAKER_04Well, yeah, yeah. I feel like it's out of respect for his guardians, but if we're being honest, like we're coming at you no matter what. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03We're coming to save you. And then Ron also says, Perry started working at the Department of International Magic Corporation. Cooperation, don't mention any broads when you see him, or he will beat your ass. Ron. Harry tracked down Pig, who was still celebrating his very successful delivery by running amok all across his room. Harry quickly wrote, Ron, it's all good. They said yes. See you 5 p.m. this Sunday. Harry loaded the owl, pig, up and out of his room. So now it was just him and Hedwigina. And Harry tells Hedwigina, all right, baby, clock in again. He was sending a letter to Sirius, ending it with if you want to contact me, I will now be at Ron Weasley's for the rest of the summer. We're going to the Quidditch World Cup. I know he was so proud to tell his step his godfather that. So they saw Capo Verde in Miami versus Paraguay. And they they loved it so much. It was such a good game. And it was cool that we're kind of the same timing as this World Cup as the last one. Hedwigina and Harry say goodbye, and Harry reminds Hedwigina, I won't be here when you come back. I'm gonna be at Ron. So meet me over there. Hedwigina is like, thank the Lord, I'm out of here. Harry went to finish his birthday cake that he kept underneath the floorboard. What a beautiful celebration today was. This was the most joy he had felt in a really long time. And even the idea of the dark lord could not take this away.
SPEAKER_04I love that. It's giving DJ Khaled nothing can stop me. I'm all the way up. Like, yes, this is what I've been wanting. Is to be able to go to the nurseries for the rest of the summer and then be able to end my summer with going to the Quidditch World Cup. Like, it's less like already, like Harry is a fan of Quidditch, obviously, but he's also a skilled Quidditch player himself. So to be able to see these major athletes playing the sport that he loves and the sport that he actually plays himself, it's just like I'm sure there's no better feeling. So shout out to him. And he gets to go spend the rest of his summer with his favorite family. So what a great way to end this chapter. I thought it was very sweet.
SPEAKER_03And shout out to the Weasleys for being like, let's get tickets for Harry, too.
SPEAKER_04Oh yes. You know, you know, that that's that's their eighth child. Uh how many could they have? Oh, well, two, three, four, or five, six. His seven, that's their seventh child. Harry's the seventh child. Like it's Bill, Charlie, Fred, George, Ron, Jenny. Oh, Percy. So seven. Yeah, so Harry's their eighth child. So yeah, and I love that. I love that for him.
SPEAKER_03So six pregnancies, seven kids.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Yep.
SPEAKER_03And then Harry.
SPEAKER_04And then Harry. Yes, yeah. I love that. And I think you said something about Harry. I think you mentioned Percy getting a job at the Ministry of Magic and the cooperation thing. Yes. So shout out to Percy. Percy a little internship or a little summer internship. So we'll see that. Yeah. All right. Yeah. Percy's uh unique. So we'll see.
SPEAKER_02So Percy is still in school.
SPEAKER_04Yes, Percy's still in school. He's a year above Fred and George. So Harry and Ron are in there going into their fourth year. Fred and George are in their fifth year. And then Percy's in his sixth year. So he's nearing graduation, but he's still got a little bit of time.
SPEAKER_03That means Jenny is in her third year now.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04The kids are getting older. The kids are getting older. Okay, lovely, lovely. I do have a whiz quiz, a little test your knowledge, and also the listeners. Let's see if you can get these questions right. We're here part of the Goblin of Fire, chapter three, the invitation. All right, question number one. How many days did Errol need to recover from his journey to Harry's to deliver food contraband?
SPEAKER_03He needs five days to recover.
SPEAKER_04That is correct. Poor Errol. What fruit was everyone at Four Privet Drive having to eat in solidarity with Dudley's diet?
SPEAKER_03They had to eat grapefruit.
SPEAKER_04That is correct. What color was the piece of paper Molly Weasley had written her letter to Vernon Dursley on purple. Purple, that is correct. All right, come through. Alright. Now, this one, you mentioned a number, but you were off if I'm correct. So let's see if you can rectify it here. How long has it been since Great Britain hosted the Quidditch World Cup, according to Molly Weasley?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I thought it was 30 years. 31?
SPEAKER_04No, I have I have 35. That's what I saw in the book when I read it. Flash listened to it. Oh. So it is there for yeah, I have 35. 35 years.
SPEAKER_03Because I I listened to it, so I probably just wrote it down wrong.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay, okay. Sounds good.
SPEAKER_03So I'm wrong.
SPEAKER_0435 years. Okay. And then finally, oh, this is an important one. What time did Ron tell Harry he was coming to get him, whether the Dursleys liked it or not, for the Quidditch World Cup? Time and day.
SPEAKER_035 p.m. on Sunday.
SPEAKER_045 p.m. on Sunday. And we'll see that come to fruition in the next chapter. Chapter 4, Back to the Borough, shall we?
SPEAKER_03Yes, we shall.
SPEAKER_04So we start here part of the And The Goblet of Fire, chapter 4, Back to the Borough, with Harry essentially saying, You don't have to worry about me. You don't have to worry about me. Like I am out of here. Now that he had his early departure planned from Priver Drive to the Weasleys for the Quidditch World Cup. By noon the following day, with the Weasley scheduled to arrive at 5 p.m. on this Sunday, Harry had his school trunk packed with all of his things, as well as all of his prized magical possessions from his invisibility cloak, in which he inherited from his father, to his newest broomstick from his godfather, Sirius, to the Marauders map given to him by Fred and George. As Harry was kind of like listing off all the stuff that he had, I don't know, it's giving a little bit like I don't want to say Nefo baby, but like damn, like Harry's just been so fortunate to be getting all these magical trinkets and gifts from you know people. And I'm like, lucky him, lucky him. Even like Fred and George giving him the map, like, damn, y'all have a whole brother y'all could have given it to. And y'all said, no, we're giving it to the boy who lived. But Harry also made sure to empty all the loose floorboards for any like remaining hidden food that he had for the summer and anything else that he had lying about. So he was truly ready to get the fuck. Like he said, I am leaving Privet Drive for another school year. So the mood at Privet Drive was a bit tense as the Dirsees were acting more uptight than usual with the arrival of magical folk coming to their muggle abode to pick up Harry. Now Vernon is barking at Harry that he hopes he told them to dress properly in normal clothes as he's seen the type of clothes that they usually wear. And this is a callback all the way to the first chapter of Sorcerer's Stone when Vernon was seeing all the wizards about in their robes and wizard hats. So he knows like what they usually wear, and he's like, they better not be showing up to my house looking like that. So Uncle Vernon had put on his best suit, and it wasn't to make a good impression, but rather to look down on the Weasleys and whatever they decide to show up and kind of just give Hoity Toidie like I'm better than you because of what I'm wearing. Dudley looked diminished, but it wasn't because of the diet, as Harry noted, but it was because his last wizard encounter was with Hagrid, when Hagrid gave him that pigtail for eating some of Harry's birthday cake. So Dircey kind of was like, and they had to go to a special doctor in London to get that removed. So Dudley was kind of acting a little sheepish, a little shy, a little nervous as he moved from room to room, not really eager to like encounter another wizard again besides Harry.
SPEAKER_02Do you think they went to a magical doctor to get it removed?
SPEAKER_04I was thinking that, and I don't think so. I think they just went to some doctor that just didn't ask any questions, like, how did this happen? Like, I don't know. I feel like that's giving a little exposure to the magical community because there's no way any sane doctor would just remove it and go about his business. He's like, Wait, how did this happen? Like, I don't know. There is a department in the Ministry of Magic that goes around fixing any magical exposure that might be happening in the mugle world. So maybe after the Dirsees took them to that doctor to have it fixed, someone from the Ministry of Magic came and like wiped his memory of ever having to deal with that or something.
SPEAKER_03So that makes sense. Because also with Dudley, if you had such a big punishment for going after someone's food, why are you still stealing food to this day? Like you did not learn the lesson.
SPEAKER_04And we're gonna get into that towards the end of this chapter because clearly maybe it's because uh Amputunio was sad, been starving him so much he couldn't help it.
SPEAKER_02But oh, the laffit.
SPEAKER_04Like at this point, I feel like Delhi's relationship with food is going to be very, very traumatic going forward. Because between the cake and the first book and the taffy in this one, like he's gonna be over at least touching any any food that doesn't belong to him. And I feel like growing up, like my younger sister needed a little bit of this treatment because I could like well I I feel like no, I feel like all of us, like me and my siblings, we were really bad at like not touching food that didn't belong to us, especially when it was like food from like out and about, like takeout for or leftovers from like a restaurant or whatever. If we put it in the fridge and didn't hide it or explicitly say, like, no one touches this our food, we'll come back and it's either completely eaten or like someone had taken a few bites, like just no regard for it was community goods after that. Yes, it was so bad. It was so bad. Speaking of food, lunch was quite quiet and awkward. Delhi did not protest the meal of cottage cheese and celery, which sounds horrible. And Aunt Putinia didn't eat, her lips pursed, and she was chewing on her own tongue as if she was holding back words for Harry. Uncle Vernon asks Harry if the Weasleys will be driving, to which Harry was unsure of how they would be picking him up, as their family car had found a new home in the Forbidden Forest of Hawkward's child to chamber secrets. But Harry just answers that he thinks so that they'll be coming by car. And Uncle Vernon snorts as Harry knows him as a type to judge a man by the type of car he drives. But Harry was almost positive, even if Arthur Weasley drove a Ferrari, Uncle Vernon would not be impressed. So it was now a quarter to five, and the nervous tension was too damn much at Fort River Drive. Uncle Putunia was peering out through the curtains, looking at the street, out to the street every few seconds. Uncle Vernon was pretending to read the paper, but he was actually like listening to the sound of a for a sound of a car approaching, and Dudley was just crammed into an armchair, just nervous as ever. Now, five o'clock had arrived, and Uncle Vernon, sweating in his suit, opened the front door, looked out to the street, nothing. He comes back inside and he snarls out Harry that they were late. Now, Harry replies that he knows and he's giving an excuse that maybe they were stuck in traffic. Now, Louise is have to get y'all together slightly because y'all are making Harry look bad. Uncle Vernon already didn't want to let them go. He already looks down on magical community enough as it is. The least y'all could do is show up on time, and we'll find out why they were on time in a moment. But it's just like, oh come on, y'all are not helping Harry in this moment. It's just it's not a good look. So take Minutes past five go by, then it's another 10 minutes. Now it's a full half hour, like it's 5:30. Uncle Verde and Um Petunia are just going in. They're saying how the Wheezys have no consideration. And what if they had other plans? And maybe they're arriving late, hoping to stay for dinner, which will be an absolutely hell. No, they would be arrive, take Harry, and then they would get the fuck out of their house. Or it's probably that their broken down tent of a car had them running late. But in the next moment, and they're saying all this from the living room, and Harry's kind of like eavesdropping from the room next door. But in the next moment, their conversation is cut off as a loud commotion comes from the living room, and the Dirsees all coming running out of the living room from just all the noise. Now, this noise was coming from the boarded up fireplace in the Weasley's living room, and it was noise, but it was actually voices. And the first voices we hear are from Fred and George Weasley calling out to Harry, asking if he could hear them. And Uncle Vern is confused as ever, but Harry begins to laugh as it now all makes sense. The Weasleys had tried to arrive at the Dirseys by flu powder and the Weasley of the Dirseys fireplace. But since the Dirseys had the fireplace boarded up, that's what was keeping them from like actually getting to the Dirseys. So Harry is not explaining to the Arthur Weasley from the other side of the boarded up fireplace that this the situation. Harry's explaining that they have an electric fireplace. And Mr. Weasley, of course, you know, working in the department of misuse of magical artifacts, he's fascinated by this. He's like, ooh, electric fireplace. Like, what is that? Um, and like completely not even, you know, focus on what's going on. And then we hear Ron's voice coming from up the fire grid asking what's going on. So it seems like because the fireplace was boarded up, like Fred and George and Ron, they're all like stacked on top of each other. Like some they were just like backed up in the fireplace. Like, this is not how flu powder transportation is supposed to work. So finally, Arthur has the smart idea to just burst this shit open, and the boarded up fireplace is just completely broken, and all the Weasley men come flying out of the fireplace into the Dirsey's living room. A complete mess.
SPEAKER_02Like, this is the worst case scenario.
SPEAKER_04Literally, the worst case scenario. Like, this is not how this was supposed to go. It's like, oh my god, y'all are not, y'all are not making yourselves look good in the Dirsey's eyes. Just completely horrible.
SPEAKER_02And the first two voices should not be Fred and George. That's my biggest thing.
SPEAKER_03Like, it should be the parents, like, hi, how are you? Oh no.
SPEAKER_04Arthur Weasley had his hand outstretched once he got it from all the commotion to introduce himself properly to Uncle Vernon, who wanted no parts as he was completely covered in dust, his suit ruined, and just utterly befuddled by all the chaos of what was going on. So Mr. Weasley apologizes for the mess and commotion, and you know, he takes the blame as he didn't think the fireplace would not be accessible. As in fact, he had the fireplace connected just for this afternoon so they could come and get Harry. And he says that Muggle fireplaces aren't even usually connected in this whole flute network transportation thing, but he had a connect at the flu regulation panel that was able to help, you know, connect the Jersey's house for this one one-stop pickup or whatever. I love how Arthur Weezy just has all these connections with getting these Critics World Cup tickets and you know the flu regulation panel. I mean, he works at the Ministry of Magic, the government, you know, so it makes sense that he would have all these connections. So shout out to him. They may not be the wealthiest family, but you know, him, I think just having good character and being a good man has afforded them all this networking ability. So I left that for them.
SPEAKER_02Me too.
SPEAKER_04And and they're also the yeah, the Wheezy's are also a pureblood family, which means they're they're entirely, entirely magical, like they don't have any muggle mat muggle heritage or genetics or anything. So that also holds a little bit of weight because there's not a lot of pureblood families left in the wizard community. But we'll talk about that down the road.
SPEAKER_02So, you know, well, they're overpopulating, you're they're overpopulating the magical world, so soon there'll be no muggles left.
SPEAKER_04Oh, screaming. So, but yeah, so he goes on now to say, oh, so Arthur Wizard goes on to say that Uncle Vernon shouldn't worry, he'll light a fire and send all the boys through, and then he'll fix up the fireplace and then disappearate himself out of their home. And apparating is like when you're teleporting, which is a special skill that usually like adult wizards, I think you have to be over 16 or 17 to learn that skill, and it's a hard skill to learn, but that's something that adult wizards can do. So if it was just Arthur Wheasley coming by himself, he would have just teleported into the house and you know, teleported out. But because he's bringing all the boys and stuff, that's why they came by a fireplace. But here's listening to Arthur Weasley explain all this to Uncle Vernon, and and then he looks at his aunt and uncle, and he's like, Sha, they did not understand a word that you just said. They're just looking at the destroyed living room and looking at y'all like, What the in the magical fuck is going on? Like, this is why we don't like this magical shit. Because y'all just came up here, busted up our home, destroyed our living room to come pick up this fucking kid, the boy who lives, so to speak. And it's just like, just no bueno, no bueno, no bueno. So Mr. Weasley now turns his attention to Harry, asking if he's all packed and ready to go. And Harry's like, well, yes. So Fred and George jump at the chance to go get Harry's things for him from his room, as of course they knew where his room was from their midnight rescue of Harry last school year, giving Harry a little known wink. So they were also hoping to get a look at Dudley as they had heard so much about him from Harry. So Arthur Weasley, of course, is now trying to break the tension and turns his attention back to the Dirseys, saying what a lovely home they have. Mind you, the entire living room is destroyed and covered in dust and debris. The Dirseys are just like speechless, but mostly out of like fear, like fear-stricken by all the magical chaos of it all. But it's and it's kind of nice to see the Dirsey so quiet, especially since they're talking all that shit about the Weasley's 30 minutes ago. Now they're like moments to work. So very, very lovely in that regard. So Mr. Weasley's making small talk over all the muggle things in their home when Dudley finally makes a reappearance in the room, and he's still like timid and fearful as ever. And Mr. Weasley asking Harry if this is his cousin Dudley, and Harry answers yes while giving Ron a little look. And Dudley's acting weird, you know, he's just acting weird and not very like he's acting strange, but again, it's because of his past trauma with wizards. But Mr. Weasley's kind of picking up on this and thinking to himself that this boy is strange as hell. But he tries, you know, you know, when you encounter like a strange kid, but you're not gonna say it after strange or whatever. So you kind of like I don't know, maybe it's only me, but like you're like, oh, there's something off about this one, but let me just try to act like I don't know.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, so like I clock you, but it doesn't need to be said.
SPEAKER_04Yes, exactly. Like he's they're they're children after all. So Mr. Weasley just asks Dudley how he's enjoying his summer, and Dudley kind of just whimpers. So Mr. Weasley's like, okay. Um, so Fred and George come back into the room and notice that Dudley is there, and they both give an identical evil grin. Now, Fred, I'm gonna have to, Fred and George, I'm gonna have to get y'all together in a moment, but we'll get there. So, in the next moment, Mr. Weasley brings out some flu powder and he casts incendio, which is uh like a fire lighting spell or whatever, and he lights up the fireplace with fire, and then he adds some flu powder and it turns the fire into an emerald green color. That's the color of the flu powder transportation. So now it's like safe to step into. So Mr. Weasley beckons Fred to lead the way out of the Dirsley's home. But before he does, before Fred steps into the fire, he spills a bag of sweets all over the Dirsey's living room floor. Now, Fred now moves to pick up all the sweets that he's dropped, and once he's gathered what he could, he gives the Dirseys a cherry goodbye and calls out the burrow, and he steps into the fireplace and disappears. And Aunt Putinio, of course, gasps at the notion of someone stepping to a lit fire. Um, and of course, that would be crazy to see as a non-magical person, as it was for Harry the first time he saw it. And of course, they're not gonna explain to I guess I explain to Dursey's the concept of it, but I think again, just seeing it is different than just being told about it.
SPEAKER_02So I'd be freaked out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. But again, Aunt Petunio, you're like your sister Lily, Harry's mom was a witch. So like the concept of magic shouldn't surprise you completely, but I don't know how much he's seen for herself, besides just knowing that her sister was a witch that went to a magical school. But I'm sure growing up, she had to experience some type of magical shenanigans, you know, when Lily was growing up next to your sister Lily, but whatever. So George is next, and he's taking Harry's trunk alongside him into the fire, and he says the burrow, and he disappears. And then Ron goes behind uh George, saying the burrow as well, and he tells the Weasley, see you with a grin, and then he also vanishes into the fire. So it was now just Harry and Arthur Weasley left. Now Harry looked back at the quietest ever Dirsees. You know, the Dirsees again are just taken aback by all this shenanigans, and he just gives them a dry. Well, bye. Well, nice knowing you for another stuff. I'll see you next year. And he's got, you know, of course, he doesn't get any response from any of them. And he's like, All right, well, let me step into the fire and make my way. But Arthur puts his hand on Harry's shoulder. It's like, wait a minute. He stops Harry from going into the fire and he turns to the Dirsees and is like, Your nephew just said goodbye, and you guys didn't say anything back. And Harry's like, Child, I'm used to it. It doesn't even matter to me at this point. Like, I'm ready to go. Like, they could kick rocks for all I care. But this behavior from the Dirsees was just like not gonna sit right with Arthur Weasley because he's like, wait a minute, no, I can't let this go. And he like turns his attention to Uncle Vernon. He's like, You aren't going to see your nephew until next summer, like damn near a whole year. At the least you could do was just say goodbye to him as you as he leaves you. And he kind of says it with a little bit of disgust, like, how dare y'all have this audacity not to like say goodbye to your nephew, especially knowing like who I mean, Arthur knows who Harry is, the boy who lives, yada yada. And I'm sure he has a little he knows about how like someone's literally trying to kill him every school year. So God forbid this is the last time y'all see this boy, and y'all can't even say goodbye to him. Like it was just not saying around with him. Like, put some respect on your nephew's name. Um, Harry's like, child, I'm just ready to go. Like, we don't gotta do all this. But Arthur's like, no, absolutely not.
SPEAKER_03It was giving really auntie, like you're gonna say goodbye to my nephew.
SPEAKER_04Yes, yes, absolutely. I don't know if you've seen um Mel Mitchell on Instagram. She kind of does these Harry Potter skits along with other skits. Okay, I'll have to send you one of her videos, but she does like she's the black auntie to Harry Potter, and she comes to visit the Dursleys at Priver Drive and see how Harry's is living, and it's like absolutely not. Um, so I also not see it, it's very funny, especially now. You'll get the context.
SPEAKER_03I might have seen it. Yeah, I might have seen that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but now that yeah, now that you're reading the books, you'll get the context and you'll you'll find it very funny.
SPEAKER_03So that's kind of ironic. Sorry, it's kind of ironic that this, you know, kind of well-off family, they're in their nice clothing to show, look, you guys are beneath me. They get checked. Like, you do not know how to speak to a child. You are acting in such a disgusting way. I am gonna call you out on it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no pleasantries, no conversation. Yes, we destroyed your living room, but you can still welcome us into your home, damn it. Um, so it's just like y'all have been so classless and distasteful. So Uncle Vernon has like a little quiet rage that's building inside of him at the thought of being taught manners by this like kooky magical man that just destroyed his living room. But he notices Arthur's hand is on his wand child, and so he resentfully says, Goodbye, then. And Harry once again says, See ya. And he puts one foot into the fire, which felt like a pleasant warm breath. But in the next moment, a horrible gagging sound could be heard coming from the living room. He was so eager to leave, and Ompetunia's scream erupts from behind him. So Harry turns around to no longer see Dudley standing besides his parents, but kneeling besides the coffee table, gagging and sputtering as his tongue had grown to an enormously large size, spilling out of his mouth as a brightly colored toffee wrapper laid on the floor beside him. Dudley, Dudley, Dudley, Dudley Kins, when will you learn to not touch things that do not belong to you? Okay.
SPEAKER_02Not anytime soon. He's done it twice in one day.
SPEAKER_04Oh my goodness. So Mr. Weasley, knowing at once that it was Fred's damn shenanigans, pulls out his wand to try to remedy the engorgement charm as he deduced that's uh what is causing this. But Aunt Plutunia hurls her body on top of her son, and it's like, absolutely not, stay away from I don't want any more magical hijings touching this boy. And everything was just going from worse to worse here as Aunt Putinia continued to try to pull on Dudley's tongue that continued to grow and like rip it out of his mouth, which was causing Dudley to like suffocate, uh, as well as the fact that Aunt Putinia's on top of him, like it's just not a good situation. And then um Mr. Weez is like trying to approach the hub, and then Uncle Verna is now throwing like China teapots and shit at Mr. Weasel, like, get the fuck out of here. Oh my god. So Arthur Weasley is like shouting at Harry to just go like get in the fireplace to the borough, and then he would just sort all this out as he continues to try to avoid Uncle Vernon throwing shit at him. But Harry didn't want to miss any of the entertainment, and he's like being he's very he's enjoying all this chaos, but he was like, No, I'll stick around. Right, like I've wanted to see them get whacked all summer long. Well, he almost gets hit by a piece of china that Uncle Vernon was throwing. She's like, shit, let me let me get out of here. Um so so as Safari takes him in, as he steps into the fire completely. Harry could see Arthur trying to pry another piece of china out of Uncle Vernon's hand. Um Putinia still screaming and lying on top of Dudley as his tongue continues to flop about like a giant python. And the Dursey's living room whips out of sight as the Emerald Green flames take Harry as he makes his way to the borough for the Quidditch World Cup and to enjoy the rest of his summer. And that is how we end chapter four, back to the borough. Now, what a chaotic chapter from the moment the Wheezes arrived at Priver Drive to the moment they left.
SPEAKER_03What is more iconic? Harry's dramatic exit after attacking Aunt Marge or this.
SPEAKER_04I would say the Aunt Marge debacle.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he popped off. He popped the fuck off on her.
SPEAKER_04He blew that bitch and got his shit and said, I don't need this. I'm out this bitch, and I'm not fixing her either. Do that what you will. That was an iconic exit.
SPEAKER_03This is we know Arthur's gonna get on the magical phone and be like, all right, we got a situation on Privet Drive. We gotta, you know, he's gonna do all the steps to make sure that everything is Dudley is okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I just feel like the Weasley's y'all are not for y'all are literally Harry's like true family, like the family that Harry wants to be with. I don't know, it's just like because now going forward, like if Harry mentions trying to go to the Weasley's or having them come back to get him again, like it's gonna be like a hell no. I don't care if Sears comes against us, no matter like it's just not looking good. Like, y'all did not, this is supposed to go smoothly. Like, I understand the whole fireplace debacle, but then once y'all arrived in the living room, the least y'all could have done is like wave your wand right away to put the living room back together. But then now this is where I have to get Fred and George together. Because why would y'all, knowing Harry's living situation at home, why would y'all think this is the time and the place to play this prank on Dudley? Like, and y'all don't even know him, y'all just have heard of him through Harry. And yes, maybe Harry's told y'all how Dudley like mistreats him and torments him or whatever, but I just think it was a wrong time and place to kind of pull this prank, knowing the trouble it would cause for Harry, possibly in the future, and the fact that Arthur would have to kind of like put it all back together. Like, uh a little maturity goes a long way, and I just don't think it was right for them to do this to Dudley in this moment, like, and especially since he didn't even do anything to Harry in this specific moment. Like, he was already timid and shy because of his past songs with Hagrid. So he was really just observing, quiet, minding his business. So for y'all to do this to him, I didn't think it was right. I didn't like it. I didn't like it.
SPEAKER_02Wow, we defended him. Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I I can I can call out wrong is wrong. And so I think this behavior from Fred and George, and then for them to do it and just step into the fire to leave their father deal with it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, iconic though, because they can't get in trouble if we still there.
SPEAKER_04No, because I know Arthur's gonna get back to that damn house as y'all. Y'all motherfuckers wanna do that shit and leave me to deal with it. You you know good for nothing sons. Like, why can't y'all be like your older brother Percy, Bill, and Charlie show?
SPEAKER_03And if they don't greet the father, you were just greeted. Say hello.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so I guess all is well that ends well for Harry at least, because he is now on his way to the borough to enjoy the rest of his summer and to go to this major magical world event of the Quidditch World Cup. But yeah, we I wanted to do these three chapters together. It's a definitely a little bit of a longer episode, but I wanted to do it all together because it just felt like a complete story from like from what where we started to do.
SPEAKER_02Where we begin to where we are now.
SPEAKER_04Pretty much essentially, yes, like from Harry getting the invitation to getting the fuck and everything that happened in between. I just felt like it was a nice little three-parter. But yeah, what were your thoughts on this this chapter and overall this whole this whole story at Privet Drive?
SPEAKER_03I just know that after all these people left, they were cleaning in silence. Like it was fucking silent on that Sunday.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then they went to eat fruit for dinner. Also in silence.
SPEAKER_04No, I know. Our Uncle Vernon's like, fuck this diet after the ordeal that we just went through. We're going to Outback Steakhouse or what's that other place? Uh uh Carol. It's so like the soul food, but it's like white people. Cracker barrel.
SPEAKER_03Carolina Kitchen.
SPEAKER_04Oh, no. Oh, sorry.
SPEAKER_03I got real, I got real PG County with it.
SPEAKER_04Cracker Barrel. I think that's like a buffet, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, cracker barrel is for the crackers, yeah. Is that is that offensive? I'm so sorry. I did not mean to say that. But the cracker barrel, yes. The cooling of over there.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, this uh we are going out to eat some good food after the ordeal that we've been through. But no, I think Arthur Weesee said he once Harry left, he was gonna put the fireplace back together and put the living room back together and he's teleport out of there. So hopefully he does that, does them that courtesy affecting their liver room once Oakra Vernon starts stops throwing stuff at him. But yeah, just chaotic, chaotic, chaotic. But yeah, I like how every school year almost Harry has left the Durseys in such a chaotic fashion, and it's just like child, see ya, see you next year, see you next summer.
SPEAKER_03So and it's like just enough time for them to kind of get over it, too.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, a whole year, a whole year of y'all to like.
SPEAKER_03And he doesn't come back for winter break, too. So it's like it really is four seasons, and I'll see you.
SPEAKER_04Yes, yes, just like the show. Yes, uh, yes. So, yeah, so that was Hair Part and the Goblin of Fire chapter four, back to the borough. And no one's quizzed, no keeping code or nothing. We've gibber jabbbered on long enough. We've talked about a wide range of things this episode, from the drama to Spider-Man to Arbor Patterson to Ariana Grande to the chapters. Yeah, yeah, it was very interesting, and yeah, like I said, like we had a little disagreements here and there in terms of you know things. SPEAKER_03If y'all are mad about the Ariana Ground, I think, I also understand. Because now I'm thinking I'm like, maybe that was a little harsh. I'm not taking it back.
SPEAKER_04No, I think, yeah, it's a hot.
SPEAKER_03I can understand why people might be upset with that, but we're not gonna edit it out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Just keep this part in. We kind of feeling bad.
