In this podcast, we are joined by two executive leaders of an organization out of Indianapolis: Dr. Dawn Haut and Mendy Rosa. Dawn, the CEO, and Mendy, the COO, talk us through their organization’s culture change over the last few years and the way in which they, as leaders managed the change with staff. Using their ‘just do it’ mentality, Dawn and Mendy were able to improve access to their patients and become the ‘Yes’ clinic.
In addition to specific actions taken by Dr. Haut and Mendy, and their health center, we hear their methods for sustaining the innovation they have achieved. This consists of staff accountability, a transparent sharing of data, and finding leaders that can change with the culture. Both leaders also discuss the importance of preparing staff for change and tips for leaders to prepare themselves for change, such as gaining or retaining humility and leaning into the ever-changing industry.
We also hear Dawn and Mendy's favorite book recommendation, "No Ego" by @Cy Wakeman, and how they applied the book's principles to their own cultural change efforts.
