Teach Me or Heal Me
Welcome to Teach Me or Heal Me, a podcast about the moments that break us, the medicine that finds us, and the journeys that reshape us.
Here, you'll hear anonymous voices, mostly veterans but not exclusively, sharing their real stories of pain, resilience, and transformation.
These are people who found their way to psychedelics not out of curiosity, but out of necessity. Trauma, grief, disconnection, and the search for something that could make it bearable or simply meaningful, again.
They speak candidly about what led them to these substances, what happened during those deeply personal journeys, and what life has looked like after.
We don't offer advice. We offer space. These stories aren't told to convince, they're told to connect. Whether you're here to understand, feel seen, or simply to listen... welcome.

Guest #7 served as a medic in the army and took that task to heart. His purpose in emergency medicine carried on to his civilian life as a flight nurse and that mission consumed him, fully. Maybe too fully... the years of service, importance of his role, and desire to never fail set the bar of expectation to an unattainable level. Without a routine of decompression in place, he hit a wall. That impact drove him to the realization that change had to occur and after watching a Paul Stammets documentary about psilocybin, he chose an unconventional path that led him to healing, a new way to support his community, and this podcast. This is his story.
