Hello, hello, everyone. Hey. Welcome back to episode number 22. This episode is all about Amy and her thoughts and beliefs on who knows what. But we're gonna interview her today, and it's gonna all be exciting, and let's do it.
SPEAKER_01Get ready!
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01The universe brought us together.
SPEAKER_00That we know.
SPEAKER_01And together, we want to share that story with you.
SPEAKER_00As well as all of the practices we do to keep our relationship private.
SPEAKER_01Because to us, it feels like our life is a honeymoon.
SPEAKER_00We want that to be enjoyed for all of you. I'm Tim.
SPEAKER_01I'm Amy, and this is our podcast. This podcast is brought to you in part by Considine Homes, proudly serving your real estate needs in South Florida with honesty and integrity and offering trusted referral partnerships in all 50 states and beyond.
SPEAKER_00All right, so episode 22. Tim interviews Amy. Oh boy. We have questions prepared here, and we will get to interview her. And last episode, Amy interviewed me. I sure did. And that went over really well.
SPEAKER_01With us.
SPEAKER_00We have a lot of good responses, hopefully. And uh yeah, this is just a fun concept that it's something different for us because usually we talk about other things. I mean, we talk about ourselves a lot, but this is just uniquely one and the other. Correct. I think this is going to be a very uh informative for me also because when she was interviewing me last time, I was surprised at some of my own answers. And so I know that it's going to be great.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And um, I do not know what he's gonna ask.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I'm glad that you didn't look. I did not look.
SPEAKER_01I would have liked to have looked, but I am staying authentic, and these are off the cuff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, all right. All right, so let's do it.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Number one, what was your very first impression of me?
SPEAKER_01Well, my first impression of you, we um met on a meditation app. So Tim Fern requested me, and I just saw like a little tiny picture of him, which I then screenshotted to blow up. And I just thought you were adorable. You had a very nice shaggy haircut, and you were smiling so cute, and um, you just looked like a really hot little rock and roll meditator, and I enjoyed that very much. Thank you. Next question, please.
SPEAKER_00All right, that's awesome. Very good idea.
SPEAKER_01I knew that, but uh, we've got to mention the part about the no, nothing has to be that's the end of my answer and moving on, please.
SPEAKER_00All right, number two. When did you realize this relationship was different?
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, shortly thereafter, I uh clearly was single when I reached out to you. I mean, hopefully, but yes, I was. Um, and I have a very um specific taste in music that a lot of people in this area do not have the same taste. And um, we had about three interactions back and forth, and I asked you what kind of music you liked. Now I've learned that you might not have answered all the way honestly, but you answer very good questions, and they were all indie bands that I like very much. I don't know how you figured that out. And um, you know, so I I just I knew that we, I mean, all jokes aside, we do like a lot of the same music, and um, it's kind of an alternative genre. And I was like, ooh, this is somebody that is possibly like me, and you are, yeah, and I love it. It's so much fun.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew you were gonna say that. Oh, I knew that really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh.
SPEAKER_00I knew that was gonna be the answer.
SPEAKER_01Oh wow, look at that. Not telepathy, telepathy. It is telepathy, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Number three.
SPEAKER_01It's been a long day.
SPEAKER_00What is something about me that people would be surprised to learn?
SPEAKER_01Well, for those of you that don't know, so Tim Um has his uh he did a two-year certification as a mindfulness meditation teacher. But when we met, he was in a scream metal band in Seattle. And um I like rock and roll, and I am still afraid of it. And so this very, very, very gentle man um has a very aggressive sound side.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I uh I like heavy music. I played it, and I I probably could again someday.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I still listen to it, but not as much.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. I appreciate it. I'd rather have that than like nothing. I like it. I like it. It's just the screaming. I don't like the screaming, but I like the instruments.
SPEAKER_00Very good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00What is your favorite memory from one of our Disney trips?
SPEAKER_01Oh I don't know. My favorite. I mean, all we we have billions of memories, but one of my favorite memories, I really like when we go to the hoop-de-doo review, and then they hand out the washboards and the spoons, and then we just have a really good time, and it's like we're just lost in this like hoop-de-doo universe, and uh it's like nothing else in the world matters, and I'm just banging on that washboard, and you're just laughing, and it's like level 10 joy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that is a really good answer.
SPEAKER_01Thank you very much. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I I feel like that's the happiest I've ever seen you into that washboard.
SPEAKER_01I really like that one. And you're just with a bunch of other people that are also everybody's loving their washboards, it's a lot of fun. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. What is the funniest fight we've ever had?
SPEAKER_01Funniest fight?
SPEAKER_00You can pass.
SPEAKER_01I mean, we don't fight very much, and if we do, they are not funny. Um funniest fight? I'm gonna pass. We really aren't big fighters.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01As I read them like, this is yeah, crop that one out, but that's just me.
SPEAKER_00What is the one thing I've taught you about life?
SPEAKER_01Ah, well, the You have taught me how to slow down. I um could go a million, no, I could go a billion miles an hour and not ever stop and do make lists a mile long, and now I just go a million miles an hour. So it is still a faster pace than you might enjoy, but it is much reduced from when we met. So you've taught me how to slow down and just that it's okay. You've taught me a lot, actually. I could do a whole episode on this. But you've you've you've taught me to slow down that taking breaks is healthy, that uh regenerating and taking time to restore is mandatory to keep going, that it's okay to not get it all done. Taught me a lot. I feel much healthier uh of a person since meeting you and you taught me that. So thank you, Henry. You're welcome.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00All right. If we won $10 million tomorrow, oh yeah, baby. What would our life look like in five years?
SPEAKER_01Oh, it would look great. What it would look like. It would look like we would be retired. Sorry, all my real estate clients, but I'm out. Uh, we would both be retired, and a lot of it would be invested. And um, I I mean, I can't really say what it would look like because it's a 50-50 decision and we'd have to talk about it. But um, if I'm just making up my own scenario, we'd have um a couple houses throughout the country, small homes, and we would just travel like crazy. And I bet we we would probably still be output, like maybe taking this podcast in a different angle, like maybe writing books, like I'm sure we'd still output somehow, but it would be work optional, and that would be amazing, and uh, we would have um hobbies and just lots of trips together and time together, and I would love that. Just more time with you, and that would make all my dreams come true.
SPEAKER_00You're so sweet.
SPEAKER_01It's true though. I love spending time with you.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. That's a great answer.
SPEAKER_01Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, great answers.
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, I'm an A number one answerer.
SPEAKER_00Number eight. Oh, what is something that you wish more people understood about being a working mom?
SPEAKER_01Wow. What do I wish? That is really freaking hard. Um I feel like people who don't have kids maybe don't get it. Or if there is um, I mean, not to be like sexist in any way, but like there, there's kind of a role that you see in life where like maybe um if there was gonna be a parent stay home, it might be the woman, and then the man can just go. And I get really jealous of the men in my industry that um don't have to do like say the school pickups, or I mean, I don't have to do that anymore, but it's like all those years where like I would have so much more work to do. And um what's the question? For real.
SPEAKER_00How do I oh what is something you wish more people understood about being a working mother?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. That um that it just never ends, and you it it's just a balancing act. Every minute of every day feels like a balancing act, being there for the kids and being there for your work and your clients, and then having to put work on a shelf to help the kids, and then once kids go to bed doing more work, and it's just um it's a hell of a lot. And bravo to all the working moms and single working moms out there because uh I've gone that path, and thankfully I have support in a beautiful relationship now. But there were times where it was just me, working mom sole provider, and it was very tough.
SPEAKER_00You're doing great. Thank you. You're done great.
SPEAKER_01You're a great supporter. Thank you so much, honey. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00All right. Moving on, number nine. Okay. What is one habit of mine that drives you crazy? But you'd miss it if it disappeared.
SPEAKER_01Well, not to give away your drives me crazy. Oh, well, I got two. Your incessant dad jokes, but you cut back. When sometimes you just get in this spree of just every sentence is a joke, a dad joke.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm working on it.
SPEAKER_01Makes me mental. Yeah, no, you've gotten a lot better, so but I would miss it. Um well, it doesn't drive me crazy, but when you blow your nose like a trumpet, it is very loud.
SPEAKER_00I do try. That is another thing I've really tried to scale back. And I I think I need to see a doctor.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I really do because it it's like I I I've tried to do it like more more quiet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it just like doesn't Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I I've drowned it out at this point. I wouldn't say it drives me crazy. It's just like not one of my top favorite things, but um, yeah, I would miss it. Like I would dream if you I don't even want to talk about it. Keep going. Next question.
SPEAKER_00Well, thank you for sharing.
SPEAKER_01Yes, you're welcome.
SPEAKER_00What's the most romantic thing I've ever done for you?
SPEAKER_01Well, you proposed to me. That was pretty romantic in Sedona, um, at the top of a beautiful outlook, but it was nighttime, so couldn't really see it. But we saw all the stars and the town below, yeah, proposing to me. And I had no idea because we always said we'd never get married, and I had no idea as it was happening, not even a frickin' clue at all till I was in shock. Um, you did a very good job. But you do a lot of romantic things, you're a very romantic partner.
SPEAKER_00Oh, thank you. You're welcome. Thank you. All right, moving along. You're doing great. We just thank you. Succinct, concise.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm a good little talker.
SPEAKER_00If our relationship had a theme song, what would it be?
SPEAKER_01What? If our relationship had a theme. Um I don't know. Our, I mean, there's like probably so many good I feel like there's so many good answers. There's not like one that jumps out. You have one? It looks like you do. If our relationship.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna send it to you telepathically.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Well, no, the only just I'm like the first thing that popped in my head is uh I don't even know who sings it. It doesn't even make sense. It is stupid. It doesn't like I think that foreigner hot blooded jack and see. I got a fever of 103. Um, I I mean that doesn't make sense, but I'm hot for you, baby. That's all.
SPEAKER_00I uh like that answer. That's not what I was trying to telepathically send you.
SPEAKER_01What anybody would say to anybody. It's just what popped in my head.
SPEAKER_00There's a song called Nothing Can Stop Us Now.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yes, from me and Mickey Little Ray. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's a good happy, cheerful.
SPEAKER_01Well, those were two different answers.
SPEAKER_00All right. That was fun. All right, so number 12. What is your favorite thing about growing older together?
SPEAKER_01Just growing older together. That answer is in the question. Um, I am excited. I know, like, I don't want to say we're supposed to, but you know, like be here now and enjoy the moment. But I get very excited thinking ahead of life slowing down a little. Not that I want to die or get decrepit, but you know, like just slowing down a little where we have more time together. I love living with you, but sometimes our and sometimes life is so busy that we're we just pass each other and then we go to bed. And uh I'm just looking forward to more time, more quality time, weekday coffee shop dates and other things. More time.
SPEAKER_00What is one fear you've overcome because of our relationship?
SPEAKER_01One fear I've overcome because well it's a roundabout answer, but because of our relationship, I love Disney with all my heart, and I always wanted to ride the Skyliner, which is for people that don't know, it's like a little gondola that gets you from place to place, and it's in an enclosed space. And I previously suffered from very bad claustrophobia. So I went to see my wonderful hypnotherapist, Justin Shiver. He is in Lake Worst, Florida, and he is fantastic. And um, I'm able to ride the Skyliner. I wouldn't even care if we got stuck up in the sky for like an hour, it wouldn't bother me, and I can do elevators again, not all, most. And if it wasn't for our relationship, that together we go to Disney. You know, it's kind of roundabout, but yeah, yeah, that's a big fear to overcome.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I've seen you do it, and I've watched you. I remember the first time you were in that uh Skyliner and just feeling good. Yeah. I think you had that purse I bought you. Remember the Skyliner purse?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, the Skyliner purse. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I think you sent a video to Justin.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was great.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yay. We should uh put his contact info in the show notes. He's wonderful for a multitude of things.
SPEAKER_00If we could instantly teleport anywhere for a date night, where would we go?
SPEAKER_01Tokyo Disney. Uh yeah. Okay, that's it. I'm done. Next question.
SPEAKER_00All right. What's a moment when you felt most loved by me?
SPEAKER_01Every minute of every day, you are so affectionate and loving and kind, and just there's not one day where I'm like, does he love me? But where I feel most when we go to bed and I lay on your leg and you tickle me to sleep every frickin' night he does it. Don't ever get sick of it, please. It's the best. Um, but I just feel so safe and protected, and I'm just loved by you because it's a real um, it's like you're not really getting anything back from it. You know, you're just loving me.
SPEAKER_00I get plenty out of it.
SPEAKER_01What do you get out of it?
SPEAKER_00Just you know, you're laying on me. I get to be loved too.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I feel loved. It's so good. So I'm glad you love that.
SPEAKER_00It's an intimate for both of us. Yeah. Like you're laying on my lap.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You know, not everyone just lays on other people's laps.
SPEAKER_01That's true. Yeah. I'm not good at being a receiver in life overall, but that's one time where I feel like I receive a lot. But anyways, it I I feel safe and loved and like it's okay to receive, and really does a lot of it's healing, it's very healing. And it helps me to just undo that busy day.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Great. Yeah, thank you. Moving along, we are on question number 16. Ooh, baby. What do you think is our relationship superpower?
SPEAKER_01Ooh, communication. Baby. We are A plus communicators. We uh we, I mean, if people have listened to other episodes, we schedule every once a week calendar checks, feeling checks, things we appreciate about each other. Like literally every Sunday we give each other a list of things we appreciate about each other. Um I'm feeling this way, I need support. Like, we are very good at verbalizing our needs and uh and our love too.
SPEAKER_00Great answer. I wasn't sure what you were gonna say. I like it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Thank you. And being cute.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00What is one thing we're still learning as a couple?
SPEAKER_01How to make a wedding. Making a wedding is complicated and confusing, and there are a lot of parts to it, and I am, I'm gonna say, not very interested in having to learn all those parts, but yet we have to. Yeah, that we're still learning. But thank God in under a year we'll be done that learning process.
SPEAKER_00It'll be done forever.
SPEAKER_01Well, until the children get married, and I'm sure I'll have to learn again. Learn more. It's exhausting. It's a lot. Anywho.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, all right. Yeah. I wouldn't have thought that one, but I like your answer. Thank you. What is a dream you hope we accomplish together?
SPEAKER_01Being work optional and um just loads and loads of travel. Quality time, seeing amazing places together, snuggling in distant land. Just everything with you is what I hope to accomplish. Oh, thank you. I'm done.
SPEAKER_00What advice would you give someone looking for lasting love?
SPEAKER_01Well, communicate. I mean, I really that really I think that's why our relationship is so strong. And it would be to um no no playing games, no um stifling down your feelings and thinking the other person is a psychic and can understand what you're thinking and then be mad if they don't. Um and uh yeah, just uh schedule time so that sharing feelings is on the schedule. It doesn't just become like a quarterly thing. It's constant. And you get used to it, you're exercising that muscle.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Very good. I just wanted to add, I remember when we first started dating, we share, or I think you share, or maybe we found it together about the Jack Canfield um success principles books. We had a book.
SPEAKER_01You found it, yes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I think you showed me the secret, he was in the secret.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so, you know, you showed me the one of the things that he said was like to do that exact thing. The uh share or share your feelings so it's not um like uncomfortable. Probably not uncomfortable, not like uh unknown, like not assumed. And I just remember reading that and I was like, remember think because we had we weren't doing that at the time when I you know it was years ago. And I just remember thinking like, whoa, like that's a really good idea. But you know, years later, then we started doing it. And so yeah, remember at one time it was very foreign, and I'm glad that it's just it's just interesting.
SPEAKER_01It's like breathing for us now.
SPEAKER_00And so I know that probably a lot of people don't do that, and I think that's a very good thing. Like Yeah. Like almost it's crazy that we didn't like there's a time when we didn't do it. Mm-hmm. Yeah, just feel great. All right. Last question.
SPEAKER_01Oh, baby.
SPEAKER_00Are you ready?
SPEAKER_01I am ready. Lay it on me, Tim.
SPEAKER_00What's one thing? You hope people feel when they listen to our podcast.
SPEAKER_01Oh humor. I don't know. I hope that that they feel.
SPEAKER_00What is one thing you hope people feel when they listen to our podcast?
SPEAKER_01I hope they feel love and support. And um you know, we're making this podcast because we really want to encourage healthy relationships. And so how do you put that in a feeling? Just just supported on their journey of um creating healthy relationships. Supported? Yeah, supported, yeah. Yeah. That's it. That's my answer. Sticking to it.
SPEAKER_00Excellent. I loved it. I wasn't sure what you were gonna say.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Trick yeah.
SPEAKER_00And that ends our interview. 20 questions, bing, bing, boom. All right. You did great. Thank you. You were like rapid fire. We probably could do more. We still have time for more.
SPEAKER_01There are no more.
SPEAKER_00All right. Well, that ends that portion of the episode where I interviewed Amy and I really enjoyed it. So I really um the reason we're doing these interviews, like Amy said in our last episode, is it's like we've been in a relationship for you know almost 10 years, and some of these answers surprised me. And it's like I know her very well, she knows me very well. But just taking time to just sit down with your partner and you know, you don't have to film it, you don't have to have a podcast. But it's what took us to do it, because yeah, we we there are those um cards. Yeah. We've had those decks where it's like they ask these types of questions, but I feel like to do multiple in a row, one person at a time, yeah, is really powerful. I feel like it's a good exercise that that like brings joy, brings like like I feel like we felt all the emotions in in this in this interview. Yeah. And I just really like learning about you.
SPEAKER_01And well, thank you, Tim.
SPEAKER_00And uh I feel that it could it can't, I mean, it could hurt, it could bring something up that you don't want to.
SPEAKER_01It could definitely hurt.
SPEAKER_00But I feel like whatever it is, it's meant to be, and and uh and just getting to know your partner is or your friend, like you said in our last episode. Can be a friend, a family member.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00But just because it's like I feel like a lot of people spend time, like I could dive into a band and learn all about a band and just spend all my time learning about Bob Jordan.
SPEAKER_01Sure could.
SPEAKER_00And Amy could watch cat videos all day and just all day, a few minutes. And it's like, you know, we just to intentionally put time into things that are important. And so for us, this I felt like was a good exercise in in just trying something new.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, try something new.
SPEAKER_00And I feel like it went well.
SPEAKER_01Well, great. I do too. Wonderful. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Uh the invite, similar to last uh episode, is to do this with a friend, a loved one, to interview uh you know, your mom, your dad, even just somebody that you want to learn more about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's very simple. Even if you think you know everything about them.
SPEAKER_00It's simple, it's free, you know, it's it might, like I said, it might bring things up that you didn't expect.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. How about how about on date night? That would be fun.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Have a little picnic somewhere and do this.
SPEAKER_00Very good. That's a great great invite.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right. So I think that brings us to the end of this episode. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_00So uh thank you guys for spending these 25-ish minutes with us every two weeks. We really try to keep it short to not uh, you know, time is valuable these days. And you can uh listen to us on 1.5 speed if you have to.
SPEAKER_01Why would you want to?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.

SPEAKER_00If they're your friends and they don't do it, are they your friends?
SPEAKER_01Are they your friends? Don't ask them the 20 questions. Find somebody else.

SPEAKER_01It is way more fun, and that digital symbolic pretzel helps us to keep our podcast alive. Yes, yes, and thank you again for being here, and we are gonna see you next time. Bye.
