All right. Welcome back to episode number 25. The future direction of our life as a honeymoon. That's what we're here to talk about today. And it's uh the set the whole show started trying to live a happy, healthy life together as a as a couple. That's where it all began. Our therapist recommended that we start a podcast. It was probably two years ago.

Yeah, it's a while ago. Wow.

And so we we were going and going and going. And just recently we started to uh rethink kind of the whole operation.

I don't know if you want to Yeah, absolutely. Um, so as most of you know, we are getting married in February 2027, and um it's very exciting. We're getting married at Disney, we're thrilled, and it's taking a lot of energy and a lot of time space for us to be able to work on that. And um we both I came to a realization that I think once we talked about it, Tim was there too, that to try to devote time to our wedding and our podcast and each other and the kids and the house and work um just felt like a lot. And the whole premise of this podcast is um just to focus on talking about healthy relationships. And if two partners are burnt out, there's not a lot of health going on. So we have decided together.

We have decided to pause our life as as a honeymoon uh as of this episode. Yes. This is going to be the final episode of season one.

Yes, we did a whole 25-episode season. I mean, wow, that's impressive.

SPEAKER_01 2:46

Yeah, yeah. We uh I know for me, I was burnt out very much, uh, just in general. And once we acknowledged and kind of decided that we were going to pause the podcast, like we both came back to life. It was it's kind of crazy how that works. Yeah, but uh I really enjoyed, you know, up until I mean I know you you were, I feel like your life was getting busier with work, and and it was just you know, my job kind of stays the same. Like I can predict what's going to happen. So my energy, I was able to kind of just continuously put effort into the podcast in a systematic way. And I had a system, but it was getting harder and harder as time went on, and just like the the like the windows of time were just getting narrower between like editing and this and that, and just became it became a real challenge. And uh, and so yeah, Amy brought it up at dinner.

And boy, was I scared.

She brought it up at dinner, and uh at first I was like, there's no way in my head, I'm like, there's no way we're stopping it. And then it was like, well, let's just do one episode a month, and it was like we kind of decided on that. It was weird how it all kind of unfolded. It was uh it was like a gentle unraveling, a gentle letting go of at first.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, because we love it. This is our baby. I mean, we've been filming since November, but working on it for about a year before that, just trying to learn everything uh, you know, as to what makes a podcast show up anywhere.

Yeah, yeah, all the ins and outs. Yeah, but yeah, we are we've learned so much. We've we've come so far, and it's exciting to know that once we're ready to come back, it's like it's not like starting over, it's it's just picking up from season two. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, season two. So we're very excited to use this extra energy and focus on our wedding. Um, and it just has felt really good since we've made that decision. And um, I mean, we would be fakes if we were just pushing through this and miserable uh in ourselves and as a couple just to produce something. So I'm really actually proud of us that we are willing to just make a pause and we're gonna enjoy our wedding. And we are going on a Disney cruise after our wedding. We're gonna enjoy that. We have a lot of fun trips planned between now and then, some kind of quiet, chill trips. Um, this weekend we are going to Disney for our menu tasting for our wedding. So that's gonna be super fun. So while we won't be putting out the podcast, I am going to recommit to our social media and just put some content up there so that you guys can follow the wedding uh progress.

And I can uh put that on the YouTube. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yes. We talked about that doing some shorts and whatnot on YouTube. So yeah, we think we'll we'll just be kind of more on location kind of things for the next little bit. And um, when we come back, we're gonna be really excited to talk about our wedding.

Yeah, it's gonna be uh interesting because when we pause on our end and we start back up, those two episodes will be back to back, like the the latest, like today's episode, and then the new one. And it'll be crazy to know all the time that's passed in between those two episodes.

Yeah.

And then for somebody that's just finding us, yeah, it'll be like, hey, we're about to, you know, pause the podcast. Oh, hello, back. We're back from the you know, the pause, and it'll it's just gonna be fun. I had another thing that I can see your phone, I want to look at the buzz sprout, uh, just the uh the statistics, just for um Yeah, real quick.

Yeah.

Uh we've had a lot of uh different cities and countries all over the world, and so for the uh let's see, all right, so we've had 30 countries and territories. That's awesome. 30 countries. I mean, there was a time where I think we were excited about like 11.

Still I'm excited about eleven. 30 is a lot of how you people finding us.

And um, let's see.

Oh no, no, no, the the set uh this is the total of all episodes.

Oh so our number one was United States, number two, Japan, three, Egypt.

Yeah. What a we are a widespread international sensation.

Yeah, yeah. And we uh we just it's crazy, and we're it's another thing I wanted to add, this is the first this shirt I wore in the first episode.
