Tom Woodle, who is a retired Anglican Priest and Religious Studies university professor, and two of his daughters, Meredith Morgan in Charleston, SC and Brittany Woodle in Virginia Beach, there are no limits to what might pop up. We continue our discussion into Revelation 2 and begin to talk about the church in Smyrna. Why was this church mentioned? What does Jesus say to this church?
Many times as Christians we wonder why certain bad things happen because we are good and faithful servants. Jesus tells the people of the church in Smyrna that they are doing everything right but will be persecuted. The devil plays such a big role in our world that bad things do happen to good Christians, but it's not because God doesn't love you. It's because he DOES love you. The devil wants to pull people away from God. So, don't lose faith! You might be just like the church in Smyrna.
