Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Charmed Life Project. Today we're talking about something that I think just about every person on the planet desires in one way or another, the big three: better health, greater wealth, and deeper love. Whether you're hoping to lose weight, heal your body, grow your bank account, find your soulmate, strengthen your marriage, or simply create more abundance in your life, these are probably the three areas that consume the most mental energy for most of us. But here's what I find fascinating. Although they seem like completely different goals, I actually believe they all work exactly the same way. The principles behind attracting better health are the same principles behind attracting more money, and they're the same principles behind attracting healthier, more loving relationships. Today we're gonna talk about manifestation, but maybe not in the way that you expect. When I say manifestation, I'm not talking about sitting on your couch wishing for a million dollars, or waiting for Prince Charming to knock on your front door. I'm talking about alignment. I'm talking about your thoughts, your beliefs, your emotions, your identity, and the actions you take every single day because of those things. Whether you look at this through the lens of spirituality, psychology, neuroscience, or simply the power of focused attention, the idea is remarkably similar. The person you become determines the life you create, and that's really the theme I want you to keep coming back to throughout today's episode. Because manifestation isn't about getting the thing, it's about becoming the person, becoming the healthy person, becoming the abundant person, becoming the loving person. The more consistently you become that version of yourself, the more naturally those experiences begin showing up in your life. So we're going to break this episode into three parts: health, wealth, and love. Today we're going to get started on health, and we'll be bringing you wealth and love in the coming weeks. So let's start with health. What do you got for us today, Gina?
ginaWith manifesting health, wealth, and love, manifesting was something that I used to think was just all pure magic, when in reality, it is magic with a heck of a lot of alignment. When I was out of alignment, I would manifest for sure, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. Today, we're gonna focus on manifesting alignment for health. And the big question is, who am I becoming? Your life often reflects your habits, your beliefs, your choices, and energy you bring in to every single day. Today, we're talking about how to align yourself in this area with your desires. What does alignment mean? When I talk about alignment, I'm talking about living in a way that matches your deepest values. It's when your thoughts, your words, your actions, and your intuition begin moving in the same direction. Think about a time when you ignored your intuition. Maybe you stayed in a relationship too long. Maybe you stayed in a job that drained you. Maybe your body had been asking for rest, but you kept on pushing. How did it feel? Did it feel heavy? Exhausting? Like you were swimming upstream? Now, think about a time when something just felt right. Maybe it wasn't easy, but it felt honest. you had peace even if you didn't have all the answers. That's alignment. Aligning with health is really, really deep. As a medical medium, I love diving into health because it's so intuitive. All you have to do is focus on how you feel in your body, in your mind, and in your spirit. When we focus on our mind and aligning our thoughts, it is... Yes, it is keeping our thoughts positive 100%, but it's more so going into, "What do I wanna think about? Where do I want my train of thoughts to go?" And releasing that negative train of thought, releasing judgment on ourselves, releasing judgment on other people, and keeping our mind so clear. it's keeping our mind in the energy of love. And then when we go into our body, it's the same exact thing. It's keeping the energy of love within our bodies, and when we come from a place of love and self-love and really understanding that our body is there for us, and it's not doing anything bad to us. A lot of times when we get out of alignment with our body, it is because we don't think we're on the same side, that our body is doing something against us. But if we look at it as our body is the biggest instrument to talk to us, to show us when we're out of alignment, in alignment, when something isn't healthy, when something feels good, and really trust it, we can have ultimate health. Our body is the biggest tool for everything across the board, and that is with health, wealth, and love Health isn't just about eating the perfect diet or exercising every day. It's also about how you treat yourself mentally and emotionally. Do you speak kindly to yourself? Do you give yourself permission to rest? Do you make choices today that support the future version of yourself? Sometimes alignment with health looks like eating nourishing foods. Sometimes it looks like making a doctor's appointment you've been putting off. Sometimes it looks like just taking a walk outside. And this is a big one for me Sometimes it's saying no, just straight up saying no to something that drains you or something that's pulling your attention away from where you want your attention. Every day healthy choices. It's like voting for your life. Vote for the life you want to create. Ask yourself this: what does my body need from me today? Then listen So Kim, I used to have horrible migraines and- really, really bad neck pain. It was something that was debilitating. It took over my life. I started seeking out, "Okay, I don't wanna be in pain anymore. Who can help me?" And I started listening to my body, I got guided back to, Dr. Megan Socha in Louisville, Kentucky at Align Your Spine. She is the best intuitive chiropractor. She's amazing. I started seeing her more consistently. I got led to a type of acupressure massage that I get once a month to help my neck. I also, and more so, was guided out of stressful situations. At that time, I was in a place in my life where I was people-pleasing to the absolute max. I was also in the gym thinking that I was this crazy weightlifter, okay? If I told you the amount of weight I was lifting back then, like your mouth would drop. First off, I can't even lift that weight anymore,
Kimyou're tiny, yeah. So I can only imagine you lifting that heavy weight.
ginaI was lifting weight that was not good for my body structurally. I changed my whole workout regime, and my chiropractor helped me with, "These exercises are good. These exercises are gonna trigger your neck pain and your migraines. Try to change things in a way that feels better, and oh by the way, don't lift over this weight." And when I did that, I started getting my optimal body that I had always wanted. You know that like figure in your mind where you're like, "Oh my God, I want this body," like, "I want this kind of physique"? I dropped 20 pounds, hand to God. I dropped 20 pounds, and with that it was the weight of the world, first off, a ton of inflammation. I got out of stressful situations that were in my personal life. I started listening to my body. I started doing less weight, more reps, and I finally felt good in my body because I was giving myself the amount of self-love that I deserved And through focusing on my health with intuition, I was able to nourish my mind, body, and spirit with pure self-love, with trust, and with appreciation. And it wasn't muscling through anymore. It wasn't I gotta lift these 200 pounds to get my squats in, you know? It was, no, I'm going to lift because I enjoy it, not because I want a certain outcome. And I began being so much softer with myself. I learned to identify what stress made my body feel overwhelmed, and then I just stopped doing those things. I also removed myself from situations where I felt like I needed to protect myself, and that's a huge one. more times than not, I will meet a medium or an intuitive, and they will have so much inflammation on their body because they're in work environments, home environments, personal situations where they feel like they have to protect themselves. And when you are in a state of fight or flight for more than that very short amount of time that you're supposed to be in it, your body begins to become inflamed. If you have ever wondered if your body is inflamed or holding onto pounds or holding onto inflammation or you have pain all over your body, I wanna invite you to take a look. look at your career, look at your relationships, look at your family dynamic, look at your home. Are there areas of your life where you feel like you need to protect yourself energetically? Because more times than not, when you identify those areas and transform them and transmute them into higher energy, the pain's gonna stop Joy is going to come back in. I'll tell you this, the way to optimal health is love and gratitude, period. that is so deep in my heart, Kim. Love and gratitude transforms all negativity, all pain, all of those things. And if you can focus on love and you can focus on trust, it's gonna be a beautiful, beautiful journey of getting into your optimal health. So I always say, find the gratitude in things. Even if you are in super big pain, and you're lying in bed, and you can't move, and the pain is so intense that it is hard to think about anything else, just take one moment and find something to be grateful for in that moment, and then the pain won't control you fully. And with those little moments, little moment by little moment, you can transform it
KimWow. Okay, first of all, I just have to say shout out to chiropractors
gina100%.
KimI go to Middletown Family Chiropractic, and they're amazing, but I had a very similar situation to you. And of all the doctors in the world, of course, we have holistic doctors and all these things, but they are so tuned in, like, tapped in to, like, energetics and what I consider spirituality. Like, they really understand the mind-body connection. And, you know, I've been going. I had neck pain. same things as you actually. And I started going once a week, and I was not happy about that. I did not want to go once a week, but I'll tell you what. It changed my life. I'm now going every two weeks, and, it's really... They're just... They're, they are healers. Mm-hmm if you have any kind of... And they heal all kinds of things. It's not just, like, back pain or neck pain, you know? Like, when you align your spine, everything changes, and just like you had a bunch of weight fall off, there's all kinds of things that that affects..
ginaIf you think about it, Kim, when they align your spine, guess what's connected in with your spine? Your chakras. Of course, yeah. Your chakras connect to, different organs. They connect to different areas of your life, and then when you're aligning your spine, you're aligning your chakras. It totally makes sense.
KimYeah, absolutely. I never thought about it like that, but 100% That of course fits. but then I also love what you said about love and gratitude because you actually said something recently that really stuck with me. We just got back from your retreat that you hosted, which was absolutely amazing. I've never, been on a trip that was just so soothing to my soul in my entire life. I would recommend it to anyone. It'll change your life. but you made a comment, about judging other people. and you see, maybe you see somebody who's a little bit overweight, and if you get into judgment over their situation, you were like, "Guess what?" Guess who's gonna gain 10 pounds because they're judging someone else for being overweight? It's the same with, every situation. If you're like, "Ooh, that person has acne," or, "Ooh," whatever it is, it's like guess what's about to occur within yourself? Yeah. Because you're in that frequency of judgment. I just love that perspective. I think it's so on point, and it really, sat with me because how often are we judging other people? And we ourselves don't wanna be judged for our insecurities and, the things that maybe we're not perfect at, but yet we sit in judgment all the time of other people. When you can come from that place of love and gratitude for others, it changes your life. If you can really hold that space for them, it changes everything
ginaIt expands your compassion.
KimMm-hmm.
ginaRecently, one of my clients lost their job, and instead of "Oh my gosh, he lost his job. He must be really horrible," my mind never went there. My mind went to, "Oh my gosh, I hope he finds a job soon. He has a wife and a newborn baby at home. Please, please, please, God, guide him to find the best job for him that's gonna bring him the most joy." That's where my mind goes, and that's where I'm training my mind to go in every situation. If I do have a judgment thought, I say, "Please excuse me, I'm learning, and I'd rather think this instead." And then that's how you get the mind mapping going with that.
KimI love that you just said that, 'cause I've had that question in my own mind. Well, these thoughts just come. They're so intrusive sometimes. How do you- Yes and it really is about pivoting. It's about catching them. It's about saying, "Oh," and then also forgiving yourself for having that thought, you know? Like, you are learning. You are trying to change. and so again, love and gratitude for yourself too as you're working through that, but just catching it and immediately pivoting. Yeah that's the answer. Yeah. I love that, Gina. I think what you said really leads perfectly into what I wanted to talk about, because for me, manifestation isn't just about what we're thinking. It's also about what we're repeatedly doing. The habits that we choose every day reinforce the identity we're creating, and if manifestation is really about becoming the person instead of just getting the thing, then our habits matter, right? They become evidence. Mm-hmm. Evidence to ourselves that we already are becoming the healthy version of ourselves. So I wanna share a few things that have really helped me. The first one is incredibly simple. Track your health. I always say, "What you track, you attract." Now, most people hear that and immediately think about accountability, and yes, that's part of it. But I actually think something more powerful is happening. Tracking keeps your focus on the person you're becoming. Think about a habit tracker. Maybe you're tracking your workouts, your protein, your water, your steps, your supplements, whatever, your goals happen to be. Every time you check something off, you're reminding your brain, "This is who I am." Then at the end of the week, you look back and you see all those little check marks, and doesn't that feel good? You almost don't wanna miss that seventh workout because you've already done six, and when you finish it, you celebrate. Maybe not with fireworks, but there's this little feeling inside that says, "I did it." And that feeling really matters because it's not just about the workout anymore. It's about becoming someone who follows through, someone who takes care of themself, someone who keeps promises to themselves, and that's an identity shift
ginakim, I love the idea of check marks. You know that I'm as type A as they come. Sometimes I make myself take a week off from being type A with no lists and no check marks just so I'm not super rigid. But I love a check mark. I absolutely love it, and just this morning I was thinking, "You know what? I think I wanna start tracking how much fiber I'm eating."
KimKeeps it there all day long, 'cause you're checking off, you're looking, you know? So- yeah, absolutely. the second thing I wanted to talk about completely changed the way that I think about exercise. Stop working out because you're afraid. Afraid you'll gain weight, afraid you won't lose enough weight, or maybe the hardest one, because somewhere deep down you've convinced yourself that you have to change your body before you're allowed to feel good about yourself. That is a really heavy frequency to carry into every workout. Most people who consistently stay in great shape aren't dragging themselves to the gym every day because they hate their bodies. They're not obsessing over the number on the scale every morning. They're not constantly staring in the mirror, picking themselves apart. They work out because they genuinely love how it makes them feel after. They feel stronger, more energized, more capable, more confident, like they can take on the world. At some point, working out stops being something you have to do. It becomes part of your identity. It's simply who you are. It's something you do because that's when you feel the most like yourself, your strongest self, your healthiest self, your most confident. Your clothes fit a little bit differently that day. You walk with a certain confidence in your step. You feel like your most badass self. So instead of making the workout the goal, make the feeling afterward the goal. Notice how strong you feel, how accomplished you feel, how proud of yourself that you feel. Maybe your clothes fit a little differently, maybe your posture changes, maybe you walk with a little more confidence. That's the sweet spot. That's a heightened emotional state, and that heightened emotional state, is the frequency that you're tapping into. So don't rush past it. feel it, enjoy it, celebrate it, because the longer that you stay in that feeling, the more you'll naturally begin attracting experiences that match it
ginaI love lifting, I love doing yoga, I also cycle. The feeling that I get, it's not always the feeling after for me, it's the feeling during. This is what began to transform in my workouts, Kim, that I really, really love, and this is why I do it. I go into a meditative state. Because with my lifting, you have to be in alignment, so you have to be very conscious of where you are in space so that you don't get injured. You link your breath with your movement, and then you have some music going on in the background, 'cause I have my headphones in. It is so meditative that it is an hour in the morning where my mind is not racing. And afterwards, yes, I do get that euphoric feeling and I feel absolutely amazing, but during it, it is my emotional break of I'm here with me, for me, my mind is completely blank. I don't have to think about anything. And it is, absolutely the best. I love it. I'm obsessed with it.
KimThat's beautiful. I have moments during my workouts like that, and that's the goal. That's what I'm striving for, is that the whole workout feels like that. Yeah. You know, I never thought about it. I, I'm a podcast listener, obviously. Yeah. but that's often what I do is I listen to podcasts. but I do find that when I do turn on music- it does make the workout better. And I don't know why I don't do that all the time, so you just inspired me. I'm gonna go back to that, 'cause of course it's a frequency, you know? Yeah. And you're tapping into that frequency, and what better way to do that than through sound? That's- Mm-hmm that is what frequency is. So it's like, yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
ginaDo it for, two weeks straight. And see what happens, see what transforms.
KimAll right, well, the third thing I have is protect what you're feeding your mind. I know this one isn't going to be popular. But turn off the news. I'm not saying ignore the world. I'm saying be intentional. You don't need to spend hours hearing about the latest disease outbreak, or how terrible flu season is, or skyrocketing cancer rates, or everything that's supposedly waiting to happen to you. Because every one of those stories plant a seed. And whether we realize it or not, those seeds become expectations about ourselves. Instead, plant different seeds. Fill your mind with stories of healing, of strength, recovery, of vitality, people overcoming incredible odds. Because what repeatedly occupies your attention eventually begins occupying your expectations
ginaI'm so glad that you brought this up. This has been something on and off my whole entire life that I've been completely shamed and criticized for.
KimSame.
ginaNow, don't get me wrong, the news, politics, there's a place for everything, and I shield myself from it all. Because as an intuitive, and not even as an intuitive, as a internal/external optimist, I like to keep my vibe up. I don't want to listen to all of this drama and trauma and put f- seeds of fear into me. And I will say that I have been, I mean, I've been ostracized, I've been shamed, I've been downed because I do not listen to anything political. If you ask me what is going on in the world, I will come from a very uneducated place of, "I have absolutely no idea." And people look at me like I'm ignorant, could you do that? How could you not know what's going on in the world? You need to know what's going on." And I will argue, "No, I don't." Yeah, because- "I'm not going to do anything to change it. I am not a lobbyist. I am not going to go anywhere in the world and protest because I'm not that kind." Mm-hmm. I wanna keep my area of the world, my community, as positive as possible, which means I am the sole protector of my energy, and when I am that protective of my energy, I can help those around me. I can still listen to what's going on in their world and what they think about what's going on in the world, absolutely, but I come from a neutral standpoint of, that's not going to affect me.
KimIt's crazy because people see that as, like, burying your head in the sand and, they see that as that you being aware, being knowledgeable is so important, and, "Oh, it must be nice if you don't have to worry about those things." But I come from a completely opposite perspective on that because to me, I don't think that you can necessarily change what's out there. Now, I know that that's some people's gift, don't get me wrong, is to go out there and make changes and that kind of thing, and I completely support that. If that's what brings you joy, if that's what builds you up and makes you feel good, absolutely, that's what you should do. There are people that are made to do that kind of thing. Agreed. But if you are not, the best thing that you can do is protect your mind, protect your home. creating the world you want to see out there in your own home is the best thing you can do, and let that frequency radiate out to the rest of the world, rather than going out there and picking up all of the negativity and bringing it into your home. It's just a different outlook, and I think that when people can really understand that you don't change others, you can't change the world, you can only change yourself, that's really, what we all need to understand, is everything starts within yourself. If you're seeing a lot of negativity, start being that positive change. Well, next I wanna say, and this kind of goes with the same idea, but watch your words. Our words carry so much power. I've actually talked about this on the podcast before, but my husband, Kyle, is probably the best example that I've ever seen of this, so I'm gonna mention it again here. Kyle almost never gets sick, and one thing that I've noticed over the years is he never announces that he's getting sick, ever. It's never, "Ugh, I think I'm coming down with something," or, "I feel bad." Instead he'll say, "I need a hot shower," or, "I just need a good night's sleep." That's it. Then he wakes up in the morning like a completely different person. Now, am I saying that that's the only reason? Of course not. Bodies are complex. Life is complex. But I do believe there's something incredibly powerful about refusing to reinforce sickness with your words. When you start feeling run down, instead of declaring you're getting sick, take care of yourself. Rest. Drink water. Take the hot shower. Get the extra sleep. Trust your body. Your body is constantly listening to the messages that your mind repeats, and one thing I personally try really hard not to do is make illness part of my identity. Instead of repeatedly saying, "I have," or, "I am," I try to separate myself from it. Because you are not your diagnosis. You are not your symptoms. You are not your illness. You are a whole person who happens to be moving through something, and there's a big energetic difference between saying, "I'm healing from," versus, "I am."
ginaOh my God, I just started doing this a few days ago.
KimMm-hmm.
ginaKim and I were on this amazing retreat in New York, and it hit me, because I'm teaching about medical mediumship on this retreat, and it hit me, oh, I'm getting ready to go through something very physical. just to catch you up to speed, my husband Nicholas and I are getting ready to embark on a fertility journey, and we had our first round of hormones a couple months ago. And I wanted him to feel more connected to me, so I told him how I was feeling every day. And guess what? Every day I felt worse and worse And worse and worse, until I was like, "I wanna get in a hole." when I returned back from New York from the retreat, Nicholas asked me how I felt, and my first response was, "I am going to stay very positive, and I'm not gonna complain about how I feel. And I want- you to know that that's where I'm coming from." And I haven't the last couple of days. I am feeling the same. but I also have to say I'm starting to feel better. The power of not complaining is absolutely amazing, because then you can come from a place of gratitude. I love that you said that, because that was huge validation for me of, yes, I'm on the right track. Actually, I'm gonna take your advice and what Kyle is doing. Instead of being like, "Oh, I feel like I'm coming down with something," he says, "Oh, I need a hot shower." I'm totally stealing that, if I need something I'm gonna be like, "I need a hot shower, I need a massage, I need a cup of tea," versus, "I feel like death."
KimYes. Yeah. I mean, when you tell people that you're feeling bad, it may feel good in the moment to, like, get it out and have somebody there with you in your misery, but it puts a spotlight on it, it magnifies it, and ultimately- it attracts more of it. When you tell your brain something, it goes, "Oh, okay, let me find that." That's what your brain does. So whether you're saying, "I like this," or, "I don't like this," it doesn't matter. Whatever you're thinking about, your brain goes, "Okay, let me find that. I'm gonna pick out more of that and the reality around you." So when you're telling it that you're sick or you don't feel- good or all of these things, it's going, "Okay, more of that." It's like, "More please. More please. Yep, I'll find more of that for you." So yeah, definitely, I resonate with that And finally, if you do get sick, it happens, right? Let healing become the focus. Of course, see your doctor, take the medicine, do your research, find out what you need to do. But once you know what to do, stop feeding the illness. Don't spend hours reading horror stories online. Don't make every conversation about your symptoms, like we just talked about. Don't replay the entire experience to everyone you meet for the next six months after you've recovered. Instead, when someone asks how you're doing, say, "It was rough, but I feel so much better now," and move forward. Leave it in the past. Because the more attention we continue giving something, the more life we continue giving it. Remember, the goal isn't to become someone who never gets sick, the goal is to become someone who identifies as healthy, someone who takes care of themself, someone who believes their body is capable, someone who expects healing. Because manifestation isn't about getting healthy, it's about becoming a healthy person, and those are two very different things.
ginaThat reminds me of a conversation that I had recently about trauma, about how there are these wounded healers, the energy that we're really moving into is of the healed healer. and identifying with your trauma. Now, I'm not minimizing trauma at all, little T, big T, not minimizing it at all whatsoever, but the more you identify with your trauma, the more that you bring it into your everyday life, the more that it is going to stay there.
KimMm-hmm.
ginaAnd it's moving out of the victim mentality and going into the warrior mentality. Just like you were saying, the more that you identify with it, the more that it is just going to stick with you and be part of you. Yes, your trauma is part of you in a sense, but we all wanna be healed. We all wanna feel whole. And here's the thing, if you're not ready to be a healed warrior, I absolutely understand. You gotta go through your process, okay? Like, I'm with you. And if you're over your process and you're like, "I wanna be the healed warrior," start identifying with who you are today, and not how you felt back then. Get out of the past. That is such a good thought process or such a good, thing to think about, are you identifying with your past? Are you stuck in the past? Because that has a lot to do with your health also. Be present, stay grounded, be here now. A lot of times when I work with clients that have manic depressive, syndrome or chronic anxiety, a lot of times they're stuck in the past. A piece of their soul is stuck in the past. What we have to do is go back into the past through meditation and trauma work, release the past, forgive the past, forgive the players, forgive yourself, move yourself out of the past so that you can be in the present, and then start to rebuild the present. It's such a beautiful process.
KimAbsolutely. That's a theme among all the, the big three, you know, and really everything in your life. But it comes with health, wealth, and love. It's all about leaving the past in the past. We often find ourselves having the same thoughts, the same feelings, and therefore the same experiences day after day after day on repeat. But taking that mindset of today is a new day and you are a new person today. The past is over. Forget about it. What experience do you wanna have today? Set a new intention and you become a new person
ginakim, thank you so much for those thoughts, you gave me a lot of food for thought as someone that is so aware of their health and tuning into their health, you've given me some really, really good golden nuggets today, thank you so much. I hope you guys have enjoyed today's episode. If you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns, reach out to Kim or I. We're happy to talk to you, privately about getting into the energy of health. Health is the biggest pillar. If you don't have your health, you don't have anything. And from that standpoint, we wish you a very, very healthy, high vibe day. Stay tuned for our next episodes on the Charm Life Project.
