We all wear something. A mask, a performance, a practiced self. This episode peels back those layers and invites you to become love itself—unpolished and real. A reflection on Sufi truth, emotional honesty, and the courage to be known. Featuring the original poem Beneath Love.

Hello deep thinkers. You're in the right place.

What's love beneath the image of it, not the "show" and definitely not that version that we polish and post, but the honest truth behind the mask. Because we all wear one. Some of these masks are crafted from fear and some are from performance. Others are from the shape of the silence that we inherited.
But if we allow ourselves to slow down, if we sit long enough, we might just
notice something just beneath the layers, a kind of softness and a
wildness. A wish to be known, not as the present version of ourselves. That we show to the
world. But ourselves as we are, when no one's watching.
Now the
Sufis, they say, "become love." Not feel it and not chase it, but become it.
They mean the kind of love that burns
away illusion and all the fakeness that comes with it.
That dissolves the mask, and it reveals the soul.
Now, there are a lot of
perspectives that come from that. And even
from the point of view of the stoic
thinkers who talk with us about love and more about truth, there's a love in that too. In this search for truth, the kind that holds another honesty, without
control, without pretense, to live without this guise is a kind of perfection, an affection for the world as it is.
Beneath love look closely, become love beneath the masks that we wear, discover. We are a many-colored blend of colors, dreams and whispered prayers to
to
uncover. You don't have to earn your
place in someone else's
heart. You only have to remember you're already whole beneath the
mask. This has been the
stillpoint. Until next time, stay real. Stay soft. Become what you were never taught to
show.
