Reflection Questions

  1. What does it practically mean for you to “walk with God” in this season of life?
  2. Genesis 5 repeats “and he died” over and over. How does the brevity of life shape the way you think about your priorities, your marriage, and your legacy?
  3. Genesis 6:5 says every intention of man’s heart was “only evil continually.” What does this reveal about the seriousness of sin? How does it challenge the way we sometimes minimize or excuse our own sin?
  4. God is grieved by sin (Gen. 6:6). What does it do to your heart to know that your sin grieves God, not because He is surprised, but because He loves you?
  5. Genesis 6:8: “But Noah found favor.” Where have you personally experienced God’s “But God…” grace in your life? How does that grace motivate obedience rather than passivity?
