Hey there, welcome to the Coach Martin Show. I'm your host, Coach Martin. Super excited about today's podcast. We're going to be talking about turning your service into a product. Now maybe you're thinking, wait, wait, wait, wait, you know, explain that Martin. Well, listen, a couple days ago I did a I did a social media live and I kind of talked about this topic and I got a lot of responses, a lot of questions. And I know I don't I know a lot of friends that have their own businesses, but it's service-based. So when you think of a service-based business, you think of anything where you're serving. It could be as an example that I use was a yoga instructor. Um, you know, I have a friend who uh you know does firearms, you know, I know other people that uh train athletes, right? So anything where where it's a sir or you you know you train individuals to lose weight and to get fit, where it's a service-based business, right? You're usually doing something that you love and that's great. But I want you to think a little bit deeper today. I want you to think about this, right? Anytime it's strictly a service-based business, you're still trading your time for money. And while maybe right now you love it and it's great, there's usually there's gonna come a time where we can't do that anymore. We get older, we're just not capable of doing that. And typically what happens is when you stop doing that, you no longer get paid. So I want you to think a little deeper. We're we're gonna go bigger. So think of taking that service that you provide and turning the service into a product. Now, by doing that, now you have the ability to be able to um, you know, have that product being sold anywhere, like all over the all over the country. Um and uh on top of that, um, it could be a subscription model. It could be a recurring revenue, right? Where um you're getting money for that product over and over and over again. So that that's that's that's where I I I really try to push and help entrepreneurs to be able to go that route because that's a scalable route. It's it's very difficult to scale um a service-based business. It's a lot easier to scale a product-based business. Now maybe you're thinking, well, coach, well, wait a minute. If I strictly had a product, can I am I not allowed to do service anymore? No, no, no. You can still do it if you love to do it. But one one is gonna be um one's gonna allow you to generate a lot more revenue, it's gonna allow you to serve a lot more people because you're not timed to tie or tied to time and space. If you're strictly service, right, you're anchored to time, and that's tough. If you're a product, you're no longer anchored to time. So there's always ways to do it. Um there's a lot of avenues. You know, you can create classes, you can create courses, you can do so many things. You can have um uh you know, communities, right, where you have monthly memberships to be part of. Like there's a lot of ways that you can do that, but I would encourage you, really think about this for a minute. So if I'm talking to you today and you have strictly a a service-based business, and you're thinking to yourself, man, I really would like to take it to the next level. I would really like to be able to, you know, uh you know, provide something that goes out to everybody. So I make money even when I'm sleeping or even when I'm on vacation, the money's coming in. If that's you, I want you to do two things. One, I want you to start thinking about it and start writing potential ideas down that you can turn it into a product. That's number one.
