These spiritual entities, referenced throughout the Bible and discussed extensively in Christian tradition, are not mere figments of imagination or Hollywood inventions. They are real, subtle, and pervasive forces that seek to lead humanity astray. My goal is to educate you about the origins of demons, their nature, and how they operate—not just through dramatic possessions but through everyday temptation and meddling. Drawing on the wisdom of Orthodox saints, the scholarship of Michael S. Heiser, and the truth of scripture, I’ll explain how demons are attracted through sin, particularly severe acts like magic, tarot cards, Ouija boards, pornography, secular music, and media portraying violence and sex, and how we can combat them through prayer and spiritual discipline. Most importantly, I want to move beyond the theatrical portrayals of demons in popular culture and offer a biblically grounded understanding of these forces and our power to resist them through Christ.
