Each episode unpacks the week’s biggest stories—here in America and around the globe—examining them biblically, exploring historical patterns and deeper motivations, and always redirecting our gaze from this passing world to the eternal Kingdom. We remind listeners: this is not our home. We are pilgrims, called to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

S2E1: How Do We Battle With Our Sin?

The first truth we must embrace is that we are all sinners. As Saint Paul writes in Romans chapter 3 verse 23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Sin is not a distant concept; it is a reality woven into our human condition. From the moment Adam and Eve yielded to temptation in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world, casting its shadow over humanity. Saint Augustine, in his Confessions, captures this beautifully: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” Our restlessness, our inclination to stray, is the mark of sin’s presence in us all—whether we are rich or poor, young or old, new to faith or seasoned in devotion.
