The Bold Life School | Career Reinvention & Strategy for Ambitious Women
The Bold Life School is where high-performing women come to stop overthinking their careers, see clearly what's actually driving the frustration, and make strategic decisions about what comes next.
If something about your career feels off — but you can't quite explain why — you're likely at an inflection point. A crossroads. A signal that something needs to change.
Each week, we break down the real patterns behind career frustration: burnout, plateau, misalignment, or the quiet realization that you've outgrown where you are.
This isn't about more motivation.
It's about clarity, diagnosis, and what to do next.
Hosted by Jamesyn, career strategy advisor and founder of The Bold Life, this podcast operates at the intersection of technology, leadership, and career strategy — helping ambitious women cut through the noise, make confident decisions, and build what comes next.
This podcast is for you if you:
- Feel stuck between staying and making a move
- Are successful on paper — but something feels off
- Know you're capable of more, but aren't sure what that looks like yet
- Are navigating burnout, plateau, or career misalignment
- Want to think more strategically about your next step
- Are ready to stop circling the decision — and actually move forward
Because the most powerful career moves don't start with action.
They start with seeing clearly what needs to change.

60: The Job That Never Ends: Protecting Your Self-Talk After the Win
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Episode description: You hit the goal — and the critical voice didn't leave. It just changed its script. In this episode, Jamesyn breaks down why protecting your self-talk is an ongoing job, not a milestone, and shares two strategies for keeping your mind on your side when it gets hard.
In this episode:
Most of us are carrying a quiet assumption: once I get there, the noise will stop. It doesn't. Your brain — the same brain that fought you the entire way up — simply finds new material. "You got lucky." "They're going to figure you out." "Can you even do it again?"
Jamesyn explains why this isn't evidence of a problem — it's biology. Your brain's job is to keep you safe, and to your brain, safe means familiar. Every time you stretch past the edge of your current identity, the alarm sounds. The negative self-talk gets loudest exactly when it gets hard, because that's when you're deepest in new territory.
Then she walks through the chain that makes self-talk a strategic issue, not a self-care issue: thoughts drive feelings, feelings drive actions, actions produce results. The sentence in your head is the first domino.
Two strategies to take with you:
- Catch it and separate it. Get the thought out of your head and onto paper, then run the test: is this a fact, or is this a thought? Facts you deal with. Thoughts you get to question.
- Decide ahead of time. Stop negotiating with a scared brain in the moment — you'll lose. The clear-headed version of you makes the decision before the hard moment arrives, so when it comes, you execute instead of deliberate.
The goal was never a quiet mind. The goal is a managed one.
