There is only one true path to heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ. That path is laid out in the Scripture and must be followed by submitting to the authority of the Lord. Along that path, however, are many features, trails, and particulars. This is because people are different. What affects you might be different from what affects me. What draws you, fulfills you, or aligns with your gifts might differ from me. Does this mean one of us is broken? Or that more honor is due one than the other? NO!
We are all different. This does not mean some of us keep some laws and omit others to suit our preferences. No one is saying that (Don’t write me up, please). But can we be honest that what feels strongest or fulfills us most may differ among people? We are all different in the body, yet we function as one body. With no shame, but with much appreciation for one another!

Jesus is all of these things, and He is our authority. So we pursue them all. But do not be ashamed of the special categories where God is using you most amazingly. You are not broken. We are whole because of you.
