So"},{"startTime":645.7,"endTime":648.849,"body":"the academic calendar really should be the starting point"},{"startTime":648.979,"endTime":651.409,"body":"when you think about putting a production calendar together."},{"startTime":651.559,"endTime":651.609,"body":"Yeah,"},{"startTime":651.619,"endTime":658.059,"body":"and so much of our work is cyclical and so you get a template of here's the calendar,"},{"startTime":658.07,"endTime":659.28,"body":"here's the flow."},{"startTime":659.489,"endTime":664.909,"body":"And I like in a production calendar to the academic calendar in this way where"},{"startTime":665.07,"endTime":669.27,"body":"you know that Thanksgiving is coming up and maybe on your academic calendar,"},{"startTime":669.28,"endTime":674.659,"body":"you've got the break noted as Thanksgiving Day and maybe you get the Friday off."},{"startTime":674.669,"endTime":675.349,"body":"If you're lucky"},{"startTime":675.669,"endTime":678.049,"body":"on a production calendar,"},{"startTime":678.349,"endTime":683.599,"body":"you would track back to see how many people are coming for Thanksgiving dinner."},{"startTime":683.869,"endTime":687.63,"body":"You would track back to see how big of a turkey you need to purchase."},{"startTime":687.64,"endTime":690.4,"body":"And then if you get it on sale a month"},{"startTime":690.409,"endTime":693.33,"body":"before you're probably storing that turkey in the freezer."},{"startTime":693.34,"endTime":698.01,"body":"But then you have to know how far in advance to take the turkey out of the freezer"},{"startTime":698.403,"endTime":701.442,"body":"in order to have it thawed in order to cook it"},{"startTime":701.593,"endTime":707.163,"body":"so that you can serve it at Thanksgiving. And so the production calendar in my brain"},{"startTime":707.362,"endTime":710.713,"body":"are all of those steps about related to the turkey"},{"startTime":710.862,"endTime":714.603,"body":"before the freezer to the refrigerator because it's X number of pounds"},{"startTime":720.705,"endTime":724.036,"body":"and it takes a wide number of days to thought or I don't know,"},{"startTime":724.046,"endTime":726.476,"body":"there's a Butterball hotline call that,"},{"startTime":726.676,"endTime":729.565,"body":"but that's how I think of the production that."},{"startTime":752.409,"endTime":755.559,"body":"What was that first go around of like, oh,"},{"startTime":755.57,"endTime":758.95,"body":"this is a thing that I probably need to be putting together."},{"startTime":759.21,"endTime":759.979,"body":"Yeah, thanks Doug."},{"startTime":760.104,"endTime":765.955,"body":"So my first foray into registrar work, I was hired to be the registrar at a,"},{"startTime":765.965,"endTime":768.645,"body":"a very small seminary in Ohio."},{"startTime":768.895,"endTime":771.984,"body":"And I took over for somebody who had been in the role"},{"startTime":771.994,"endTime":776.784,"body":"for decades and did not document very much distrusted the computer."},{"startTime":777.099,"endTime":779.76,"body":"And so the institution"},{"startTime":780.099,"endTime":783.599,"body":"hired me in to kind of rebuild the office from the ground up."},{"startTime":783.609,"endTime":787.359,"body":"So it was very much a a learn as I go experience for me."},{"startTime":787.5,"endTime":790.969,"body":"And fortunately, I had a lot of support within the institution,"},{"startTime":790.979,"endTime":794.309,"body":"people who had been there a long time and kind of helped me figure it out as I went."},{"startTime":794.729,"endTime":799.7,"body":"But at the end of that first cycle through the whole academic calendar, you know,"},{"startTime":799.71,"endTime":801.44,"body":"after I'd been there for about a year,"},{"startTime":801.78,"endTime":806.359,"body":"my dean came to me and said, now we've gone through all of this at least once."},{"startTime":806.369,"endTime":808.09,"body":"Some of the things we've gone through a couple of"},{"startTime":808.099,"endTime":810.88,"body":"times like registration or scheduling those kinds of things."},{"startTime":811.239,"endTime":814.9,"body":"But for the most part, everything has been gone through at least
