All Been Inside
42% of men and 33% of women in Victoria’s prisons have an acquired brain injury (ABI) compared to 2% in the general Australian community.
All Been Inside is a podcast from the source, from those who have experienced being caught up in the criminal-legal system with an ABI and are passionate about making the system more just for their peers.
This four-episode podcast tells four life stories: each detailing one person’s experience navigating the criminal-legal system with an ABI, sharing intimate tales of the complex webs in life that can lead to becoming criminalised. The series also features interviews with experts including a senior criminal lawyer, family violence social worker, disability advocate and criminal legal researcher.
Voices for Change is supported by Fitzroy Legal Service.
Recorded at Bakehouse Studios.
Interlude music by Alex Vella-Horne, theme music from Bensound.
