Most of us were taught in school that the heart is just a mechanical pump, valves, chambers, arteries, mechanical, physical, functional. But science has evolved and so has our understanding today. We know the heart contains about 14,000 neurons forming a complex nervous system called the Heart Brain. Your heart sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart. The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field of any organ in the body, about 60 times stronger than the brain's field. The heart's field can be measured several feet outside your body. Just a few minutes a day can retrain your entire nervous system. Over time, you, you build a new baseline, more peace, more clarity, more joy. And number four, bring heart awareness into decision making before making choices, big or small, pause, ask. What does my heart say? You will find that answer coming from the heart are quieter, deeper, and more true than the frantic cheddar of your mind. I. Last but not least. Number five, practice heart-based living.
