Hello, my beautiful sparkly souls and welcome back to Living the Living Tea Way. I'm your Doctor Sunshine today. Oh, today we are mixing a cocktail, not the kind with the little umbrellas. This one is called The Hot Mess Midlife Cocktail. Shaken, stirred and served with a very generous splash of what on earth is happening to me. If you have ever found yourself sweating in the grocery store aisle or snapping at your partner over absolutely nothing, forgetting why you walked into a room or waking up at 3:00 AM wide-eyed. Like your brain is about to deliver a TED talk. Congratulations. You my love are sipping this cocktail and let me tell you, it is strong, but here's the thing, you are not broken and you're not losing it, and you're definitely not alone. You are simply in midlife, which means your hormones are putting on a Broadway show without asking your permission. So today we are going to laugh. We are going to learn, and we are going to take that mystery out of this hormonal chaos. So let's peek behind the bar. What's in this delightful, messy cocktail? First up. Estrogen. She's been your glow goddess for years. Soft skin, strong bones, sharp mind. But now, well, she's ghosting you. One minute she's there. The next minute she's vanished, leaving you sweaty and confused. Then there is progesterone, the chill, calming hormone. She's the one who used to help you sleep well. When she starts packing her bags in perimenopause, suddenly insomnia, anxiety, and irritability are moving in. Testosterone also gets sneaky. That little spark block that give you confidence, drive and muscle tone, uh, she starts fading too. And then of course, cortisol, the stress hormone just loves to pour herself into her drink, whether you invited her or not. So what do we do? And end up with, well, we end up with hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings, brain fog, belly fat, and a feeling that your body has turned into a reality show you never audited for. I, you know what no one tells you. Everyone talks about hot flashes like they are their main event, but the real fun is the. Weird stuff like the 3:00 AM wake up call when your brain decides, now's the perfect time to revisit every embarrassing thing you have ever done since fifth grade or a sudden, irritability when your family breathes too loud near you. Well, libido. Huh? Libido. That goes from, uh, fury to flatline. And don't get me started on the memory relapses, walking into a room, standing there like, wait, what was I doing? I call it a menopause safari. You are lost. There are wild animals, your hormones, and you just hope you find your way back to the camp. But here's the sunshine truth. You don't have to just drink this cocktail and suffer. You can dilute it, balance it, and even give it a sparkling twist. Movement is one of the best way to keep the hormones happy. PIs yoga, walking, lifting. Your body was built to move, not to sit in the front of Netflix, worrying about your muffin top. Food is powerful medicine too. More protein, less processed sugar. That means stable blood sugar and that means a stable mood. And yes, sleep. Protect it like it's your diamond necklace. And then we have our sparkle tools, aco, pressure points.com, hot flashes and stress breath work that soothes us, the anxiety, even journaling to track symptoms to see your patterns instead of thinking you are losing your mind. And now let's talk about the thing everyone whispers about hormone replacement therapy. Here's my take. It's not the villain. It was once made out to be. It's not for everyone, but when done right, it can be a lifesaver. There are natural options, bioidentical options, and medical options. The key is education, not. Let's do a quick sparkle reset together, because sometimes that's all you need. Sit tall. Place one hand on your belly and one on your heart. Inhale deep, please ruin your nose for four counts, and hold them for a moment and exhale slowly through your mouth with a sigh. Now gently massage below your collarbones. That's the kidney seven and acupressure your clarity point. It's amazing for anxiety and stress and brain fog. Keep breathing slowly, keep sighing out the stress and whisper to yourself. I'm magnificent. I'm balanced. My body is recalibrating with wisdom. See, that's you turning down the cocktail's volume and turning up to Sparkle. And if you're nodding and your head right now thinking, yes, this is me. Then my upcoming book, mood, magnificent and Misunderstood. Let's be real. It's going to be your new Best Friend. It's a survival guide for this cocktail written with humor, with science. It was a. Whole lot of compassion for what we are all going through. A lot about how actually some vitamin deficiencies and your blood work talks huge stories and how to read and or to write once with your doctor and inside of the L Academy. I create the happy hormone tools, like guided practices and sleep resets, mini courses to help you manage the chaos and find your balance Again, you do not have to do this alone. You do not have to do it in misery. So here's the sparkle truth for today. Midlife is not the end. It's the remix. Yes, the cocktail is messy, but you are magnificent. You are recalibrating and not declining. And remember here as your Dr. Sunshine, I am here to remind you, don't forget your sunshine was in. And don't forget that hormones don't define your worth. Don't you dare forget. You are still fabulous, sweaty grocery store moments and all. Until next time, keep shining wisdom, not just the cocktail. Shine bright my loves.
