Hello, my radiant listeners and resilient souls. Welcome back to Living the Lty Way where calm becomes wisdom and healing always sparkles with humor. I'm your host, Dr. Sunshine, here to remind you that your body doesn't hold grudges. But it does hold memories. Today's episode is called The Body Remembers and How to Release Stored Stress Because Let's, let's be honest, most of us aren't tired. We are actually tense, and that tension is the language of unprocessed emotions, unspoken words, and unresolved. Survival responses. So today we will explore why your shoulders remember your deadlines, and why your gut remembers that argument, and how to finally let your body exhale for real. Because you know, have you ever finished a stressful week and realized you have been cleansing your jaw like a secret overachiever. Ah, or stood up from your desk and get back said, congratulations, we have reached the fossil stage. Well, that's your nervous system holding the receipts because every micro stress, a free emotional suppression every, I'm fine. When you are clearly not get stored in muscle tone, in fascia tension and breath patterns, your body isn't against you. It's protecting you, but sometimes it forgets the threat is over. So let's break this down. The sunshine style. All right. Dr. Beal won the car in his groundbreaking research. The Body Keeps Score found that trauma isn't stored as a narrative memory. It's stored as sensory fragments in the brainstem muscles and fascia. In Harvard Medical School studies showed that chronic stress disregulates the hypothalamic pituitary attri axis, HPA, flooding your system with cortisol, tightening your fascia, reducing vaal horn, basically turning your body into a stress sculpture. Hmm. And fascia research from the University of Oman, Germany revealed that emotional states directly changes fassal, stiffness and hydration levels. Well, translation here, tension has texture, and, and somatic psychology research. With the Wayne and Akin shows that releasing trauma isn't about retelling the story, it's about completing the physiological stress cycle. Your body never finished. I meaning you can't sink your way out of tension. You have to move, breathe, sound, or shake your way through it. Let's try a mini release technique, no yoga mat required. Take a deep breath into your belly and exhale with a sigh. Here's a real one, I want to hear it. And that sound signal safety to your vagus nerve. Let it out. Then roll your shoulders slowly up, back and down. And notice if they have been auditioning for Mount Everest this whole week. Up, up, up. No, no, no. Oh. Mm-hmm. And then shake out your arms and legs for like 20 seconds. Literally shake. Shake the tension loose. This activates your body. Natural stress reset mechanism, just like animals do after a scare, shake it off and place a hand on your heart and the other one on your belly, and then whisper. The stress can leave. The lesson can stay, but the stress, the stress can leave. Well, congratulations again. Ha. You just helped your nervous system complete a cycle telling your body we are safe. Now you can rest. Maybe if you have a dog, you may be confuse the dog who thinks is playtime, but well, that's a little bonus if this episode helped your body sigh and relief, you were like my levity academy.
