The military analyst was placed on the EU’s most recent sanctions list because he is said to be a “mouthpiece” for the Kremlin—something he firmly denies. Nevertheless, his inclusion on the EU’s “blacklist” has effectively made his life impossible: he has been banned from travelling and his bank account has been frozen. All of this without a trial or any involvement of a judge.
