Speaker 1:

Welcome in. Welcome in with your Wakanda RN. I have a lot on my mind, but I'm not here to waste your time. Let's get into it. Welcome in everyone. How's your week? Let me know how things been going for you personally within your journey. If you're part of my nursing family, let me know in the comments below how things been going for you, and if you're part of the non-nursing family but you're still family, let me know how things are going for you as well. I welcome you all in, man. So we're not going to waste your time, man, let's get right into it. So you know, we hear about people taking breaks, we hear about people doing different things on their break time, or maybe sometimes, sometimes things get, you know, work gets kind of hard, things get kind of tight and you need to go step away for a second. Well, let's talk about a particular surgeon who took a break during his actual surgery, and this is how he decided to take a break.

Speaker 2:

And let's take a look here Minutes later came back to the theatre and completed his work. Dr Ramjam didn't dispute the evidence against him presented by the General Medical Council during the hearing in Manchester. Instead, his behaviour had been shameful. The doctor told the tribunal the incident happened after a stressful time for his family, when he and his wife were failing to connect as a couple following the premature birth of his daughter, manchester.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay, so let's go back here. Man, let's talk about this, okay, first and foremost. First and foremost, it's not. Is it crazy for people to have sex on their jobs? Yes, let's just get that out of the way. However, a lot of times, we think of people that do that they sex on their jobs yes, let's just get that out the way. However, a lot of times, we think of people that do that they're on their break or something to that effect. They link up after work.

Speaker 1:

This man decided to do this in the middle of surgery, surgery. I have never heard of such a thing until today, so that is wild within his own self. I mean, a man said he had to take a break. The surgery was pretty stressful for him, apparently, and he had to go get some stress relief. If you know what I'm, you know what I'm saying. Now I will say on my favorite moments, because you can see that on TikTok. You can find that anywhere. I originally found a video on TikTok this is for my, my audio only but the top comment had a picture of Johnny Sims, of Johnny Sims. Listen, for my below 18 audience. Don't look that up without a trusted adult. Ok, first and foremost, but if you're over the age of 18, a picture of Johnny Sims being the surgeon is crazy. It's crazy Because sometimes, I'm sure you guys know, sometimes the comments themselves are actually better than the actual story or the actual video or whatever. Oh, johnny Sims being there for this particular surgeon, to me was perfect. So let's create a people out there everywhere. Let me get that out of the way.

Speaker 1:

Now, in terms of his reasoning to why he did it. So, first off, he didn't fight it. He didn't fight it one bit. He accepted like, yes, this is me, yes, this is what I did. His reasoning is nobody's going to accept. Nobody's going to accept. And for man to man, let me tell you, the world is not going to accept that one one bit.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you said, junior wife, paraphrasing we're having problems. You feel like you were disconnected. Well, shame on you, because you were married or are married as of this recording, and you need to work that out with your spouse One way or the other. You need to work that with your spouse. That's number one. Number two you talked about. You know a loss of a child. That is very sad. I can relate to that. However, we know a miscarriage of a child or a death of a child.

Speaker 1:

He wasn't thinking about these things when you were doing your deed, when those back shots were applied. He wasn't thinking about that. You weren't thinking about that one bit. So, from man to man, I'm not going to accept it. And guess what? I'm pretty sure the world is not going to accept that. Not one bit, not one bit. So let me know in the comments what do you guys think about that? Right wrong, indifferent, right here on this podcast. This man was in the wrong. There's no way, no way, no, how this man should have done that. It's never going to clear. It's always going to look morally wrong. But you guys can let me know in the comments what you think about that.

Speaker 1:

On to our next topic. So have you guys ever used the EMR called Epic? A lot of hospitals for their medical records, electronic medical records use Epic, and so have you ever thought about what do their headquarters actually look like? Have you ever thought about it? Or kind of wonder? Most of you probably wonder no. Most of you probably wonder no because some of you, probably listening right now, can't stand Epic. I've heard nurses that say they like Epic compared to other systems. So let's talk about. Let's talk about Epic man. I happen to see a video regarding that and actually kind of blew my mind a little bit, so let's see if you can watch this video here and let's talk about it.

Speaker 3:

This is insane. This is where people work. That's insane. This looks like a theme park. I second that. Oh my, it keeps going.

Speaker 1:

Alice in Wonderland.

Speaker 3:

Well, they definitely financially must be doing very well.

Speaker 1:

Oh, they are doing financially really well. Look at that. Look at that.

Speaker 3:

Did anyone else learn today that epic pretty much has its own amusement park? I never knew this was a thing and I I did not either.

Speaker 1:

Keep it real with you guys. I had no clue. I had no clue, man, no clue whatsoever that it looked like that and so, um, yeah, it kind of blew my mind a little bit, because some people in comments say, well, this is just the amusement park, I don't care, I don't care, I have no amusement park. What is? What is the EMR doing with an amusement park? Somebody tell me what is an EMR doing with that? That is insane. It feels like, you know, when you see people that are really, really rich. They just have literally money to blow. They don't know what to spend it on. It's one thing to have a fancy building, right, but it's another thing to come up with basically a wizardly-like place, a Harry Potter, alice in Wonderland-themed park for an electronic medical records. Nobody else is blown away by that. I am. I am Because who would have ever thought, who would have ever thought I would not have known? All the times I've clicked on Epic, all the times I've had to go in there, do my charting and everything like that, I don't know, man, I just picture like a boring office setting where I don't know, I don't. I mean, I've never thought that they would. On their breaks they could maybe pretend to be in the world of Harry Potter or Hogwarts or whatever. I never would have thought that on their breaks they can go down Alice in Wonderland like slides. I wouldn't have thought that. You know what I'm saying, but wherever I mean, it's still pretty interesting to me. I never would have thought that whatsoever.

Speaker 1:

So y'all have to let me know in the comments. I know some of you who listen to my podcast. You had no idea, I had no idea. So definitely let me know, because I definitely did not know. So one big question that seems to be a subject of debate, especially the last few years, within the nursing healthcare space nursing and aesthetics. And so there's another video I saw recently that a particular person, individual, talked about how do nurses go to school for aesthetics and her response to that. Now I want you to know before I click on a video, let me know in the comments below do you go to nursing for just the aesthetics? I know some of you will probably say no. Some of you will probably, in your heart, say yes. Judging by the way I see things on social media, some of you the answer is definitely yes. So let's just not even pretend, like some of you absolutely don't. So let's see, let's talk about it.

Speaker 4:

And I just got one question for the girls that's always hollering All the girls who go to nursing school just for the aesthetic will never know what it's like to be a real nurse. They don't be real nurses for real, they just be in it for the look. They be in it for the look. They be in it for the money. Let me just ask y'all one question do you know how fucking tough nursing school is? Do you know how chaotic nursing school is?

Speaker 4:

So please tell me, if somebody take out their time to go to school for a year or two years, or maybe three, four, depending on the person, what in the fuck make you think they doing it for the aesthetic? Somebody who's doing something for the aesthetic wants something that's easy handed to them, right? Not something that's going to take them a long time to obtain. So if they sit in there and they stressing and they struggling, going through school for years to gain a degree to do something that they actually want to do, what the fuck makes y'all think they doing it for the aesthetic? Because they put on the nice nerd, the scrubs and the little headbands and they like the pretty pink stethoscopes, or they like the accessories, the bog bags and everything to dress they self up, make they self look nice every day. That means they're doing it for the aesthetic.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay, there's a whole nother minute of that, um, but let's, let's, let's talk about this, let's talk, let's break this down a little bit. She's basically her logic. She's saying that because things are like nursing is expensive and hard, that people would not go to nursing just for the aesthetics. People would not go to nursing just for the aesthetics. I'm here to tell you that is incorrect. People do have and will continue to go to nursing for the aesthetics. Now, maybe an individual like yourself, maybe you think that people will not. They won't do this right. It seems out of place, out of line, out of pocket, and there's other things they can do to be put out there aesthetically. Now, my dear, let me tell you this Especially over the last 10 years or so, especially a big boom in the last five, post-covid for sure, there's been a gradual rise with nursing and aesthetics. And here's the thing because I know this is going to get tricky for a lot of people. So I'm not talking about nurses who get into entrepreneurship, because there's some nurses who are great at what they do. They get in entrepreneurship. They're different businesses, different avenues, and they look great. They look great. They got their business going on. They work very hard to get to where they're at. There's also some nurses who take pride in how they dress and how they look and so they're going to have the look good, feel good approach to their career. Not talking about those nurses whatsoever, but, however, there are nurses who literally will look at people who are successful, who will look at people who look presentable on the internet, have a following on the internet and try to imitate those individuals who literally want to get into nursing for the aesthetic. I promise you that is happening. That is happening, that's happened before, it's happening now and will continue to happen. I can assure you that's happening. And look, I know it's probably a hard pill to swallow, I know it probably seems immoral, but I promise you that's what's going on right now, I promise you, and it's not going anywhere either. That's not going anywhere. Nurses, you'll have future nurses that will continue to get into it for the aesthetic.

Speaker 1:

Now I do agree, there's other avenues you can go towards. If you want to just find things that are just aesthetically pleasing and you want to look, you want to look cute, you want to look pretty, you want to look all the certain ways. But I mean, if you go, look up. I'm just, I'm saying it again, man, if you go look up a lot of connoisseurs and content creators there's a lot of popular ones have a large following Because, guess what, let's get ready for me, let's have a good morning to work or let's follow me to work. And I'm not saying that's bad, because I have some friends who do content and, but they do other forms of content as well, but they're not, they're not just presenting it just for the aesthetics, but there's other nurses who are just presenting it just for the aesthetics. So I'm just letting you know. I'm just letting you know it's happening.

Speaker 1:

Nursing school is hard to a lot of people. Nursing school is not easy. It's expensive. A lot of people they will continue to spend that money just for the aesthetics. But y'all let me know in the comments below. I could be completely wrong, but let me know in the comments below. What do y'all think, man? What do y'all think?

Speaker 1:

So another question for my ladies out there, all my questions for my ladies man, what's the dating world like for y'all? So, all my healthcare workers, either or male, female, it don't matter what is the dating world like for you? Is it easy, is it hard? Is it hard to find a partner? Is it hard to find a mate? Is it hard? Is it hard to find a partner? Is it hard to find a mate? Have you had a good time? Have you had a bad time? I want to know. Let me know in the comments, man, because I have a story. There's a story that this lady on Instagram had talked about, about her particular experience not that long ago. So let's see if I can get her to come up and then I want you to listen and then we're going to talk about it. You, that's insane. That's insane, but so is that jug. You holding that jug or whatever is in there is insane. Okay, so we, we're done with that. All right, man, it first off, it was hard to focus because of that jug. Man, very hard to focus, but let's talk about it. So this isn't very hard.

Speaker 1:

You know, guys, if you are in a relationship, you like him. You liking provocative girls photos on the Internet in 2025. What are we doing? What are we doing? Some of you guys don't need to date man. Y'all just need to get y'all a puppy. You only get y'all some plants. Some of y'all just need to go get in a friend group. Man, come on, bro, some of y'all a puppy. Y'all need to get y'all some plants. Some of y'all just need to go get in a friend group. Man, come on, bro, some of y'all are not ready to date. You're not ready to date. You're definitely not ready to marry.

Speaker 1:

And then the nerve to say you know, oh, I was just liking. I mean, she's overseas, so I mean that's insane. You know how embarrassing it is for your partner to get messages from other girls saying that your man is liking my photos. So it's obvious that you guys are in a relationship. And then the other person says your man is liking my photos. That's embarrassing, nobody wants that. Nobody wants that. So let's get that out the way. If you're going to date and you're liking provocative photos, you need to go, you need to get, you need to go, need to get. You need to go handle that. You need to go handle that. You need to go get your stuff worked out, because we don't need to be doing that in the big 2025. That's, first and foremost, all right. So that's insane.

Speaker 1:

Some of you may disagree. You have every right to disagree. You have every right. But I don't think that's right. That's just me personally. That's me personally. I just wanted to kind of bring a perspective, kind of ask about. You know, I got healthcare workers that you know follow my podcast, but I don't know how the dating world is for y'all. You got to deal with weird, silly, ridiculous things like that. You know what I'm saying. Anyway, anyway, y'all let me know in the comments below. All right, man.

Speaker 1:

So we talked about how a surgeon took a break in the middle of surgery to go trade out some back shots. We talked about. We talked about you ever wonder what the headquarters of Epic look like? You know what I'm saying. We talked about that. Do nurses go to school for the aesthetics Insane? We talked about nurse, nurse money, man logic, all this other stuff. So thank you for tuning in with Joe Wakanda RN. I appreciate you guys. I'm not here to waste your time.
