One rule can change a whole fantasy football season. We stack two of them and somehow decide it’s a good idea to draft live anyway: you can only roster one player from any NFL team, and every single draft pick has to alternate AFC and NFC. That means your favorite target isn’t just a pick, it’s a commitment that shapes the next round, the next position, and even the teams you’re allowed to touch later.

We bring intern Wolverine into the league, make him christen the night with a rum and coke, then lay out the full chaos menu: “drink while you draft” pressure, massive penalty drinks for rule breaks, and a last place punishment built around the worst foods each of us can’t stand. When the draft clock starts, the strategy gets real fast. Do you lock in a stud even if it blocks a later stack from that NFL team? Do you reach for a defense or kicker early because it fits the conference requirement? And how do you avoid painting yourself into a corner when waivers must match position and conference all season long?

By the end, we finish the board, pull up ESPN power rankings, and set the week one matchups with plenty of trash talk. If you love fantasy football draft strategy, weird league settings, and watching people try to follow rules under pressure, this one delivers. Subscribe, share the episode with your league, and leave us a review. Who do you think drafted the best roster under these rules?
