We are the section eight wrestling podcast. I am kills at Wills. I'm Billy. And today, tonight, whenever it is you're deciding to join our wonderful little corner of the internet, we're gonna do what we always do, which is give you that weekly wrestling recap of WWE Wrestling. That's Monday Night Raw. But first, we huck it, chuck it, boom. I'm gonna throw it over to my man Bliam. He's gonna give us the Friday night SmackDown rundown. So let's go, Billy.

That was rough. Yeah. Um, so things have been crazy. I didn't get to watch SmackDown entirely. So I was like, hey, chat GPT, give me the rundown of SmackDown. And you know, it it tried, but it missed a few key moments, like like the main event, maybe. Oh, geez. Because I was we were hanging out uh last Friday and it was on in the background, so we caught most of it together, and I was like, I was going through the chat GB, it's like, wait, they didn't talk about that. Wait, they didn't talk about that. So I went through and I ran through. I'm like, okay, so I went through and made like a second, like actual timeline of what actually happened. So bear with me, kids. But SmackDown kicks off, and it kicks off like my watching of SmackDown was uh it was chaotic, it was hectic. Uh officials running out to the back. There has been a car accident. Uh, Drew McIntyre is on the hood of a car, rips the windshield off said card, yeah, and pulls out Jake Fa2 and begins to wail on said Samoan Werewolf.

Uh so uh they are they're going at it for a while, they get separated. Drew runs off in a huff, what walks off in a huff, heads to the ring, basically saying that his WrestleMania moment was taken from him. Uh he he thought he would quit, but he couldn't. He needs like he wants his moment, he wants revenge, blah blah blah. All this comes out. He's like, What are you doing? You're basically ruining your own chances, so on and so forth. World Smalls Violent, absolutely. Um, so they're going back and forth. Um, and out of nowhere, Jacob Faw too comes making his way through all the security, and they start brawling again, and they're going all over the arena, and they kind of get separated, but we'll come back to them later. All right. Next up, we get the WWE tag team title match. Sorry, okay, the tag team championship match. There we go. Uh, it is the defending champions, the MFT, which is Tamatonga and JC Mateo, taking on the number one contenders and newly formed team of Damian Priest and R-Truth. Wow, the truth set you free. Yeah, man. Um, it's pretty good match, actually. Um, so it starts off MFTs take uh control early. R-Truth is the punching bag in this match. So he's taking a lot of the beating from the two, uh, which is it's Tomatonga keeps getting better and better. JC Mateo is fun to watch when they actually utilize him. Um so those two fighting are pretty great. Uh eventually a hot tag is made. Damian Priest gets to get that hot tag moment and hits his couple special moves, all that good stuff. Uh, but in the end, the Wyatt's actually come out and the Wyatt'cause cause a distraction.

Uh so chaos ensues because when you got five guys going against kind of three outside, and then another two, it's there's like ten people, just chaos ensues. All four guys end up in the ring at one point, but Damien Priest and R Truth get the upper hand, they hit their finishers. Well, our truth hits Cena's signature moves at this point, he doesn't even do his own anymore, right? Um, and new WWE tag team champions, which I believe Damian Priest had that same look on his face because I don't think they told him we won! Damien Priest and R Truth are the new tag team champions. Hey, hey, that's what's up. Ah, uh, see, see kids. That's what he does. But yeah, I legitimately think Priest did not know because R Truth got the pin, and he you just see uh Priest reaction in the background, like wait, what yeah, what that's gonna be a fun little run. We'll see what happens with them. Right.

Next up, we see we come across Candace Larae. She's still trying to console Johnny Gargano, who is planking on this on this table thing. Uh, and Dan Housen pops up out of nowhere. Oh boy. Hey, you think I can help? And Candace's like, I would love that. He's like, Do you have 20 human dollars? So she reaches in Johnny's pocket, gives him 20 bucks, holds it up to the light, makes sure it's real. He's like, Great, and then he disappears. Uh Fan Housen, right here. Yeah, in the background. Oh good.

Uh next up, we come across another interview with Sami Zayn. Uh basically, he's just he's just lost. He's frustrated, he feels overlooked, and there was a quote, he says, People can't see what's really happening. So I guess that will be elaborated on in the future.

Yeah. Uh, which brings us to our next match, which is the Motor City Machine Guns against Fraxium, which, according to chat GPT, it was the Motor City machine guns versus enhanced talent. Ouch.

I was like, good lord. I was like, so because it obviously it didn't say who won. So I was like, well, obviously it had to be the Motor City Machine Guns, which it was. Um, they put on it was a great match. Uh, we know how these two uh attack teams are. Uh very quick, very fast paced, very hard-hitting. Uh Cad brought it out of order because Chat GPT is not Chat GPT, it's crazy. Anyway, Motor City Machine Guns ended up winning, but it was a fun match. Um, just it was a straight up win. So it's it shows because last week uh they were kind of up in arms. He's like, You're not focusing on the team. He's like, I'm gonna help, and they look pretty solid together. So we'll see if anything comes with that. But Motor City Machine Guns pick up the win against enhanced talent.

Anyway, uh, next up we get a promo from Randy Orton, makes his way to the ring. Uh no, no, not so much anymore. He is very he's very cool, he's very somber, uh, still wearing the shirt covered in Cody's blood. So um, he comes out, he grabs the chair that he had used the week prior and sets it in the middle of the ring. So they're just holding this chair over him because it comes back later on in the night, too. But I enjoy that he's sitting in the chair that he bashing Cody's head with, and basically he says the locker room has gone soft, and lately he's been enjoying causing this pain that he's been causing. Um, it's just he he is back, dude. This this cold calculator, Randy Orton is back, and I love it. There was a sign in the crowd that says 09 Orton has joined the chat, and I thought that was great. Because it's true. Talking back, we we just did our match of the week for WrestleMania 25, um, and that was 09 Randy Orton, which is or that was 09, which that Randy Orton took on trips, and uh that was when he kicked all the big man's in the head and kissed Stephanie and uh oh that uh Orton is what we want, yeah.

So it kind of feels like it kind of feels like when when we kind of thought M retired Slim Shady, and when people were like, Man, what if what if what if you brought Shady back? This is kind of like you know, he brought it back to Kill him, but yeah, bring it bring him back, and that's why it's so loved instead of how it should be. But yeah, yeah. Ooh, Orton's hot.

Orton's hot. I forgot to mention uh after the Sammy was being interviewed, uh Trick Williams came out and they had a little back and forth again. Uh just they they'll probably have a match WrestleMania together. Uh it's gonna be great. Um, so that being said, the next match is Alistair Black with Selena Vega uh taking on Sammy Zayn with Trick Williams using his lemon pepper steppers to walk on out and watch ringside. So he pulls up a seat, puts his puts his shoes up on the announce table, and just watches the show. Uh it's it's a it's a great match. I could watch Alistair Black all day, and Sammy Zane is that that veteran that you know is always going to perform. Um, so it's it's a lot of back and forth. Sami Zayn is just getting more sporadic, kind of more chaotic in the ring. At one point, he has Alistair set up for the Huluva kick. Uh Trick Williams kind of distracts him, and um Sammy is kind of muttering to himself and kind of just hesitates a bit. So he goes forward. Alistair Black gets out of the way and he hits him with black mask cleanly, picks up the victory. So Sammy Zayn just kind of left in the ring, just almost broken, like doesn't know what to do next.

Like, I will do it with Alistair Black, same thing. Right, right. Whatever. Uh next up, uh, the WWE women's champion Jay Cargill just straight up calls out Rhea Ripley. She's like, I know you're here, just come out here, just avoid all that. So she comes out, they have this back and forth. Rhea's like, I'll give you the first hit, like, hit me. She turns around, puts her back to her, she's like, do something, and she's like, I'll do it on my time. Um, and then all of a sudden, Meechin and B Fab come out. Um, looks like they're going to uh go up and team up and gang up on Jade Cargill, but Jade turns around, those two step to her side, they surround the ring, and they continue or proceed to beat up Rhea Ripley. Oh boy, do they? Little little little little little twist. So, yep, I I'm I'm cool. See little twist like that. I didn't see that coming. Right, right. And Jade Jade is high caliber enough where she deserves a little entourage of her own. So great. Whatever they're doing with that, maybe I'll grow to like Mechan more, whatever. Great, but I'm here for it.

Yep. Uh we see we cut to the back, and Miz is talking to Kit Wilson. Uh, Kit Wilson is having a face-face with Jelly Roll later on. Whatever. Um, so he's talking to the Miz. Miz is like, I still feel off after last week. Uh Dan Housen cursed him last week, but he just he doesn't really put two and two together. He's like, My vacation was uh cancel or delayed due to weather in Hawaii, and I have this sunburn on my back, and then all of a sudden you see Danhausen pop up and slap them both on the back and says, Hey guys, how's it going? How's that? Love Dan Housen. Yeah, man. Uh what happened after that? Oh yeah. Uh and so he Miz is he reminds the Miz that he is still cursed, and so they break up, break off, and then a ladder falls on the Miz and segmented. Uh we next we cut to the MFTs in the back as solo is throwing a fit that they lost, and he was like, It's your guys' fault, and they're like, No, it was the Wyatt's fault. And he's like, No, it's your fault, blah blah blah. And Tom's like, maybe you should give up the lantern. Because ever since you've had the lantern, you've sounded like Roman.

It's like, here we go, back to one of the Savones, calling another one, Roman Reigns. It's like, oh no, he's one of the greatest of all time, the whole thing is that is that an insult, right? Apparently it is. Uh so just as they're kind of doing a little stare down with each other, here comes out of nowhere, Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fattu to continue their brawl backstage. Uh so they throw each other into the garage door and they're fighting. Yeah. We talked about that on Friday at Teresa Seamus all over again, which is always great. I love stuff like this. They're just little things that run through the entire show. It's wonderful.

Next up, our next match is for the US Championship. Uh, the open challenge was closed this evening. Oh, in walks up Ilia Dragonov, or finally getting the rematch of Carmelo Hayes against Ilya Dragonoff. There we go. There we go. Oh so good. And love these guys. Uh, there's springboards, there's chops, there's headbutts, there's Ilya bleeds again. I mean, it's just it's everything you would want from these two, and they just can't stop being great and getting better. But in the end, and still, United States champion Carmelo Hayes. Him. Melo don't miss. He is him and he does not miss. Still won't. So I I hope they give him some bigot maniac because he's he has worked his ass off this last year and he's deserved it.

So yeah, they put in the pre-show, and then they're like, What's the point? So uh, so that was the final match of the night. Um, there is um another segment. So earlier earlier in the evening, Matt Cardona kind of faced Randy Orton and kind of called him out. He's like, Hey man, that wasn't cool. And Randy's like, What? Whatever, and then put like proceeds like forearm Cardona in the face and walks away. So Randy throughout the weeks has been on the phone with somebody mysterious, which people say it's John Cena, it's not John Cena, he's retired. Get over it. He's gone, it's not John Cena. Um rumors even more so are that it's um Ted D Biyasi Jr., which would be hysterical.

So that's that's oh I don't I don't want to waste too much time, but yeah, we will have to talk about that whole story because that it just that story just got in steam, and it's like, oh we'll talk about that as it goes on if we have to later on, but anyway, so um they whoever's on the phone tells Orton that he has to apologize.

So he goes out to the ring, gets the same chair, puts in the middle of the ring, sits in it for a couple seconds, but then stands up and he's like, Cardona, please come out here. Like, I need to apologize. And it's like he's legit, he's like, I'm sorry, I should have done that. He's like, I love action figures, I play video games, like it's like it's cool. He's like, so he's like, so he shakes his hand, like he gives him a hug, and then he's like, We're good. He's like, we're good. All right, shakes his hand again, nope, kicks him in the balls, rips his shirt off, throws him on the announced table, starts to beat him up. He kind of makes him bleed a little bit, but you know, a little bit. It's not like Cody was last week. So security comes out, they pull him off. He's like, All right, I'm good, I'm fine. He gets cleared a little bit from them, grabs Cardona, throws him in the ring, starts to beat him up some more. All the officials are just standing outside the ring, like, hey, don't do that. So he grabs the chair and he puts Matt's arm in the chair. Uh, and then they jump in, they're holding him back. He's like, Okay, I'm good, don't touch me, I'm good. And then as soon he gets clear, turns around a bit. I was like, he's gonna break his arm, and he goes and he stumps on the chair. I was like, he did it. Yeah, and then he gets out of the ring, security pushes him back. As security pushes him back, the screen cuts to Jacob Fontou and Drew McIntyre. Uh, they somehow ended up on some building. So it's the throw him off the building, Max Bill. Here it is. So here it is. So the officials go sprinting out down the ramp past Randy Orton, all the stuff. They don't care what Randy did now, they just left him out there by himself to go finish whatever he did, Matt Cardona, sure. But this is more important. So they rush out, they get to a fence that they can't see on the other side of or get over, but it's locked somehow. I don't know how the two of them got over there, but that's besides the point. So you see them, they're headbutting each other like on this side of this rail, and they're punching and kicking and headbutts and slamming on the rail. Drew McIntyre falls off, he grabs Jacob A2, and they both fall off this building. Credits.

Monday Night Raw comes to you from Boston, Massachusetts. Boston, home of the Red Sox, home of the Celtics, home of all them sports teams. You know, it's Boston. Uh they start off with a little recap. It's a little super fancy Netflixian kind of recap. They even give it a title. It's called The Visionary and the Oracle, and it's just recapping uh what happened last week when Oba gave Brock his ass. Okay. So that means that Brock Lesnar and the Oracle, Paul Hammond, have to come out because they have some explaining to do. Uh Brock Lesnar rocking a new FAF5 shirt. So I'm pretty sure people loved that. Um, I'm over people over staring at the WrestleMania sign. It used to be just the people going Royal Rumble. Now it feels like everybody just keeps looking at it. It's like we get it. WrestleMania's coming.

Over it. Uh Heyman comes out and he's basically trying to give uh give some accolades. Like, look, man, my guy, my guy took out Undertaker. And based on y'all's reaction, y'all are still upset about that. That was actually a pretty good one. Uh oh, I he's taking out this person, taking out this person, taking out this person. Uh uh, oh no, this person tried to be him. He tried to be him. Dean Ambrose tried to be him, which was a crazy name drop. Crazy name.

Um, so that was great. And said, Hey Oba, basically, what you did last week that was your WrestleMania moment, that was your peak because you have to go up against coming out to the ring. He's walking, no excuses tonight. You're going to die tonight. Man, over so dope, bro. So good. He gets in the ring, there's a stair down. Brock kicks him, tries to give him the F5. No, no, no. No, we're not having that. He clothes limes him. And Brock for two Brock's credit. Sells sells being stunned very well. Brock, I have I've never seen Brock have that look of like, who's this dude? Um, Brock is turning new leaf. What just happened? Yeah. He had his Ninja Turtles moment. Like, can someone explain where we began to lose control here?

Yeah. Yeah, I I think it's partially because of that rumor that came out that Brock was like, I don't want to lose. So I think he might be maybe overcompensating a bit, which I'm fine with. Which I'm fine with. Great. I want to see him put over.

I have a theory of it. I have a theory of if if Oba wins as he should, I do see the the avenue of basically, I don't want to spend too much time, but basically it'd be like this: if Brock happens to win, Brock announces retirement, Gunther says, I'm gonna take you out, Oba says, nah, I need that lick back. They fight to see who takes out Brock. Oba takes out Gunther, then Gunther, I mean, then Oba retires Brock. That's that's how I see how that could happen.

Then we cut to a promo and it's dirty dom. Dirty Dom saying that Finn got what he deserves, blames his loss on Finn, and sends a message to Penta. Like, hey, I'm getting my belt back, man, because I'm him. Best Luchador of all time. Dirty Dom. Re Mysterio, I'm Susio. Yep. So that brings us to our first official match of the night. It is the Usos versus the Vision. Uh, it's I it was supposed to be for the tag titles and then wasn't. So it's just a match. Uh-huh.

We're all yeeting, and of course, we go to commercial. That's what we do for yeats now. We get it. Commercial. Uh, we start off with the max, the vision gains momentum, and then we go to commercial. When we come back from commercial, um, what am I saying? Oh, Austin Theory does his like one of his signature moves, but I don't know if he named it. And the commentators were like, Oh, that because it almost looks like Jay reverses the move, but Jay's her like, oh, what it theory put some extra torque into that that move, so just hearing them trying to describe what they just know he did it. Yeah, that was that was a little funny. Logan Paul's out there, of course, because it's the vision. He tries to use the brass knuckles, but l a night, yeah, yeah. He comes on out and gets the the loudest pop of the night. And I'm talking about over Oba, over Roman, who's gonna be coming out later. LA Knight gets the biggest pop of the night. You'd have thought he was from Boston. Give him his moment, man. It's the most pop anybody with LA in their name will get in Boston.

Uh Boston night. So Jay actually takes the takes the brass knuckles with the distraction. He straight up hits Austin Theory, which causes the disqualification. So your winners are actually the vision, but then Jay gets back in the ring, KO's KOs Logan Paul. Jay Uso, everybody is big mad. He's on a tear, he's big mad. Yeah, okay, he's big mad. That brings us to our next promo. It is Becky Lynch. She's coming on out and she's getting booed, and she's like, Oh, y'all want to boo me? Y'all act like I'm the one who took 10 years off. I only took 10 months off, and I did that to go be a better family person. She's the one that abandoned you. Actually, I came back and I made the iC belt important, but then I got my daughter singing AJ's stupid song everywhere I go. But I tell you what, she says what? She she mastered the Divasera, but guess what? I murdered it, which was a good bar. That was good. AJ comes out and AJ comes out, Becky leaves, hops over the barricade, then starts doing an AJ skip away, taunting her. And AJ comes up and she's cutting promos, so you know what that means. It is the new saga of Kofi trying to get in the Javon Evans ear because it's Grayson Waller versus Javon Evans. I've forgotten how good Grayson Waller can be in the ring. They need to utilize him an awful lot more. Kofi's in Grayson's corner. You have moments where Grayson expects Kofi to help him out. Kofi's like, no, no, man. Look, I'd rather you lose than get disqualified.

So Adam Pierce is talking to Paul Heyman. Uh, Paul Heyman wants the vision and the Usos in a street fight next week at Raw's. They're gonna be at Madison Square Garden. So it's a lot of rinse and repeat between SmackDown and Paul. Seth comes out, he's by himself because I'm guessing all 35 is masked men haven't recovered from Brock, but that's okay. Because if you notice, Seth takes off two masks, so he's cool. Yeah. So yeah, uh, turns out the whole thing was a ruse to try to get Seth to attack Paul because Paul put a restraining order on Seth that was that no one knew about till then, and he's up there saying mean things like, Oh, I'm gonna get you out of here, and your wife's gonna marry half the roster, and your daughter is gonna just say all bunch of crazy stuff to get him to attack. Seth Rollins gets arrested. He's gone in handcuffs. There you go. F A F O motherfucker. It's great. Seth tried to get in there and attack him, and Paul throws the mic at him. Yeah. Brings us to our next match. It is the Kabuki Warriors versus Bailey and Lyra Valkyria. It's pretty good. Uh Bailey takes a big table fall. Yeah. You're winners of that match, Lyra and Bailey. Um, they get interviewed after the fact, and Bailey makes the mistake of in Boston going, hey, we're heading to Madison Square Garden next week, the greatest arena in the world.

Uh then Dan Housen shows up and curses i show speed. How that how we're gonna go from there? How we he says, yeah, we should start a new show, iShow Speedhausen. And of course, Speed's like, no, it's like, all right, you are cursed. And I show looks really, really, really, really nervous. So we'll see what happens with all that. Yep. Uh then Asuka is basically telling Kyrie that she's gotta make up make things up to her because she's been out there messing up, and Eo's like, hey, you know you can do better, right? And then Raquel talks down to EO because that's gonna be the whole thing. Anyway, that brings us to the main event.

When we come back, Finn comes out. Uh, he attacks JD, pinta takes advantage, your winner. Hashtag and still pinta is the IC champ. Finn attacks JD, stares down Dom. So we'll see what's going on with that. And then we have the last promo. Quickly, I know we're up against it, but that's all right. It is basically CM Punk running into Big Jim. Uh, Jim telling Punk, like, hey man, my brother's in a war patch. Just be be careful. Thanks, Big Jim. He's a great punk walks out. Uh, Punk's like, Oh, yeah, sure, yeah. Roman called me old. Okay, yeah, I'm old, sure. I'm the old veteran, I'm the old fighting champion. And he goes, Oh, and so Roman, when you're out there in 20 minutes covered in oil and jizz, when the oil and jizz is dried up, like while he dropped the Diddy reference. Like, he said, What? And uh, he's like, Oh, you gotta, he's no he's Jim's like, Saving for the OTC, and Jay's like, Well, but the OTC ain't here. Yeah, he's so yeah, uh Roman's in the house. Roman shows up, tells Jim and Jayla, hey, why don't y'all want y'all get out my ring? Respectfully get out of my ring. Get out of my ring. There's some bantering back and forth, but I'll just basically snap to the end. Roman feels like he's done all he's needed to do, he's about to get out, and Jay Uso just gets in his bags. Hey, Joe, get him, man.
