Love your intros. They're great. SmackDown is coming to us this week from another one of them cities, Lexington, Kentucky. And the WWE Women's Champ, Rhea Ripley, actually kicks off the show and wants Jade at Clash in Italy. That's it. She just she's she she wants a rematch, even though she's champ. She wants to take on Jade again because Jade's been messing around and trying to find out. So uh Charlotte and Alexa come out and they want a piece of Jade and the Baddies as well. Um but they at first uh Charlotte and Rhea need to get on the same page because they are still kind of at odds. Alexa is playing the mediator. She's like, come on, guys, we have the same cause. Let's just beat up these chicks, blah, blah, blah. So uh while they're doing that, Fatal Influence comes out. JC Jane, Fallon Henley, and Lacey Reed. Yes, that's one's name. Got it down. Uh, they come out and they're just saying how great they are, blah, blah, blah. And Charlotte's like, well, why don't the two of you take on Charlotte and Alexa, take on Alexa and I. And uh Jacey's like, alright, so Fallon and Lacey will take on, and uh Alexa actually had the better idea if Charlotte and Rhea team up. So later on in the evening, we'll get Charlotte and Rhea against Fallon Henley and Lacey Reed.

So the first match of the evening is kind of uh from last week. It's Shinsuke Nakamura taking on Tala Tonga. Um it's fine. Uh Shinsuke was all over Tala for most of the match. Just, I mean, because you have to be Tala Tonga got a few big hits on him, but for the most part, Shinsuke was relentless, hitting the classic kind of thing. And yeah. Love it. Um so it's going great until Solo gets involved. Uh Tala gets the win, and they try to be on Shinsuke, but Damien Priest comes out with a chair and kind of evens the odds a bit. Okay. Tama actually uh they got uh Shinsuke and Damien down. Or no, before that, uh Tom Tama actually stopped Solosokoa from uh hitting Shinsuke. Or like, well, that's kind of weird, and then Tama ended up hitting Shinsuke himself. So it's still a weird kind of dynamic between the two of them. Uh so then that's when Damian Priest came out with the chair, and even the odds and uh the MFT were left scattered. Uh so next up, we see Nick Aldous talking Nick Aldous talking to the best ref of all time. Uh that would be Charles Robinson. And all of a sudden the lights start to flicker, and they're like, huh, that's weird. Uh so anyway, uh Cody enters, and Nick Aldous says we need to get the con the new contract signed now that we know who the number one contender is, being that it's Gunther, and Cody's like, I figured I would just go out and do the same thing. And he's like, no, we'll take care of it another way. And then and then Sammy enters and offers to help Cody with Gunther, and he's like, I don't need your help, man. Like, I just leave me alone, just go do your own thing, kind of thing. Uh so Sammy complains, and then Cody re-enters, and he's like, I'm tired of you, Sammy. You're playing this entitled baby card. Uh, so you want to fight? I got nothing to do. Let's fight. So the main events, uh, Steve us at the violin. Cody didn't even give him a chance to do it because later on uh Cody challenges Sammy Zayn to a non-title match, which will be our main match.

Uh our buddy Chava is a huge Lash Legend fan, and he's like, she needs to win, because then her and Chick Williams will be the US champions together, and they can shine together, blah, blah, blah. It's like, it doesn't work that way. Sorry.

But to escalate this one little storyline more, uh, during the match, Chelsea Green came out and helped uh Tiffy a little bit, ended up throwing Daya Jax into the ring post, which eliminated her from uh getting involved anymore. Uh so Tiffy picked up the win uh and she slid out. Chelsea Green went up and was like, yeah, we did it. And Tiffy's kind of like looking at her in disgust and kind of pushing her away and then kind of holding the belt again. So we still don't know what's going on there, but it's still fun. Give me more Chelsea Green anytime.

Uh so long, blah, blah, blah. They talk back and forth of Fraxium, and next week we'll see the Miz take on Axiom of Fraxium. Okay. Uh, next up, we see the US chant Trick Williams. He honors us uh with his presence. Uh and Lil Yachty is with him once again, and Lil Yachty is actually he's getting better and better. I'm actually enjoying him on the mic now. Um, I think he's picking up tips and tricks from not only Trick but probably other people he's been just working around. Uh so we'll see what that where that goes. Uh but they're talking for a little bit. Carmelo Hayes has heard enough, and he comes out and he says, respectfully, if it wasn't for you, I would have been still US champ, and I would have had my WrestleMania moment. Uh so he's like, I want my shot. And Trick Williams is like, well, the the the open challenge closed when I won the belt. So if you won a championship against me, if you want an opportunity, you need to earn it. Uh so tonight we get Trick Williams versus Carmelo Hayes, which is a match that should have happened at WrestleMania. Thank you for agreeing with me. Yeah. Haters, you agree with me too. Comment down below. Tell me, tell me I'm wrong. You can't. Uh, because this match was great. This match was great. Everything about it was great. Um it was I want this to happen every night, I want it to happen every week. Um, it was great until Ricky Saints comes out, gets involved, cost Melo the match, and potentially his opportunity to get his United States Championship back. So they go in the back. Uh Kathy Kelly wants kind of answers why Ricky Saints got involved, and before he can kind of answer, Carmen La Hayes checks him out of nowhere, and he just says, Stay out of my business. Oh. So that might be a match we see in the near future.

Uh it was my first chance to see Lacey in the ring. I haven't really seen her do much, and this match still didn't let me see her do much. Um, this match was more about Rhea and Charlotte kind of uh having a I don't want to say dick measuring contest because it's not what that was, but basically trying to say I'm better than the other kind of thing, trying to one-up each other the whole time. Uh in doing so, they kind of earned respect for each other, and they all ended up working together, which got them the victory. But that didn't last long because Jade and the baddies come out and they level the playing field. There you go. So they are writing that momentum high into Saturday night's main events, which we already reviewed. Check it out down below.

Alright, getting there. Next up, uh Cody is in the back, and he's trying to understand what's going on with Sami Zayn in his head. He's just it's not the same as Sammy. He's just tired of it, wants to figure it out through this match. Uh, also in the back, Meech and Beef, Fab and Jade were getting interviewed, and they're just saying how they're ready for Saturday night's main events to continue doing what they did earlier against the three women. Um, which leads us to our next match, which is Damian Priest versus Solo Sokoa with the MFTs. Uh earlier in the night, uh, we see when this match was made, we see uh Tamatala and Solo in the back, and Thomas says, You need to win this match for the family. And he's like, I he's like Solo's like, yeah, I get he's like, no, this like you need to win. Like, we need to get back on track. So uh it's a pretty good match. Uh Damian Priest, it's fine. I don't know. He I think I'm getting kind of bored with Damian Priest, honestly, but that's just me. Uh I think I think he just needs another opponent like Drew McIntyre, because that was a great little run that they had. So they just don't know what to do with him, but not his fault. Not his fault. So Solo ends up picking up the win, uh, and they continue to beat up on Damian Priest when Royce Keys comes out and helps. So he gets the MFTs out of the ring. Okay. And Damian Priest, or so Royce is like, come on, let's fight. And Solo's like, no, I'm good. He just kind of gets out of the ring to walk out. He goes to check on Damian Priest, who just doesn't see, just feels somebody touch him. So he goes and kind of swings at him. And he's like, Hold on, I just tried to help you. Damian Priest is confused, like, still kind of after he got beat up. And Solo's like, You see that? He just hit you, like yelling at Royce Keys because he wants Royce to join the family. So he's like, see, he just hit you. Just get him. He just hit him, get him. He's like, whatever. Uh so yeah. So that was that. Uh the WWE women's tag team champs, Bree Bella and Paige, have a little uh little cutscene talking about their match with the irresistible forces come up Saturday night's main events, how they're gonna be great and retain, and so on and so forth. Sure. Yes, yes, great, great, yes. After that, they run through the Saturday night's main event card, which we already did the whole rundown, so check that out. Uh in the back, we see Blake Monroe. She introduces herself to Chelsea Green, and she's like, Oh yeah, I'm Chelsea, and Blake's like, I know who you are, and then she's like, I wish I didn't, and then she walked away. And then as soon as she walked away, Naya and Lash got a little revenge on Chelsea and checked the shit out of her into like some cases. Like she hit hard, and they're like basically just don't get involved, kind of thing, and establishing their dominance. Bang! Which brings us, haters, to our main event of the evening. It is once again my favorite uh word, the aforementioned match between Sami Zayn and WWE champion Cody Rhodes.

Uh so this match is a solid main event between two main event superstars. Uh Sammy Zayn is um called Wade Barrett calls him the last good guy left. Sami Zayn. I was like, that's good. Uh so before the match actually starts, Sammy makes his entrance, they go to commercial, they come back, and you see Royce Keys and Damian Priest, and they're kind of trying to hash it out in the bag. And basically Royce is saying, dude, if I get it, like we're both tough guys, but if you want something between this, then something's gonna happen here, kind of thing. Uh still doesn't say I, even though it's plastered all over his shirt. So I'm still waiting for him to say his quote catchphrase, but we'll see.

Yeah. So anyway, uh back to the main events. Uh Sami Zayn being the last good guy wants a handshake before the match starts. So Cody gives him a handshake. They do a little back and forth, and then they skip back toe to toe. Sami Zayn goes for another handshake. Cody's like, okay, so he goes and shakes his hand and then kind of pushes it away, like, let's get down to it. So they do another back and forth, and Sami Zayn ends up on the ground, and Cody reaches out his hand. He's like, You want to shake my hand now? Sami Zayn's like, nope, just come on, let's go for it. So then the match actually begins at that point. Uh so it's pretty good back and forth uh for a while. Sami Zayn at one point checks Cody Rhodes like so hard he flies off the apron over the announce table. So that was a pretty hard hit. Uh it was pretty fun. Um, but you know, they hit the best. There's crossroads, there's blue thunder bomb, all that stuff. Uh no Huluva kick. Gunther actually gets involved and tries to put Cody to sleep. Uh Cody ducks out of the way. Sammy hits Gunther. Cody Rhodes hits Sammy from behind with crossroads, picks up the victory, doesn't get a chance to celebrate. Gunther comes from behind and power bombs the hell out of him. I love a good power bomb. And Gunther is just big and just does it with authority, and it's just it's great to watch. Uh so Sammy Zayn, they just kind of staring at each other. Gunther puts Cody Rhodes in a sleeper hold and puts him to sleep as Sami Zayn watches, slowly exits the ring. Credits. That's SmackDown. SmackDown.

Dang. Well, that was the that was the Friday night SmackDown run down from billion. Heck yeah. That brings us to Raw, baby. We also have a Saturday night main event. Uh little review if y'all want to check that out. If y'all want to stop, go watch, because he got the smack down. So if you want to check that out and then come back, you can do that. You would have. Yeah. If you want to just keep on rolling, we're gonna keep on rolling because we're gonna talk about Monday night raw. Monday night raw. Took place on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio. Go Buckeyes. I think that's the football team. So cool. Sorry, I don't I don't know college. I'm sorry. But it took place on that campus. Paul Heyman's in the ring. He welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw. He introduces us to a video package of Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar says that he got whipped so bad that when he was done at WrestleMania, he decided to call it quits because he figured he'd never gotten whipped that bad. So he decided to call it quicks. But he doesn't want his story to end like that, William. He said he can take an ass whoop and says, Oba, can you? So Sunday he's going to conquer Oba Femi. Paul Heyman warns Oba that, oh, he's awoken the beast. The beast is awoken. Uh Oba Femi comes on down to the ring. By the way, it's my uh uh I don't know if that's my pleasure to report, but it's it's just my duty to report to y'all that it has been 142 days since Oba Femi has vacated the NXT title and has not gotten the title back uh since then and is not a champion yet. So he has did not lose. Just just just just throwing that out there. I'm gonna keep throwing it out there. Uh Oba asks Paul, well, what do you think that Bronck has awoken to me? You know, you keep talking about the beast. What about me? Uh he signs his half, puts the contract on Paul, signs his half of it, so they will have the rematch at Class of Italy. And Oba says, I was coming to beat Brock the first time. This time I'm coming to kill him. So there we go. Uh, I'm going to kill you. I'm gonna hold all judgment until I see what happens at Class of Italy. That's the best thing I can do.

Like, I get why they do stuff like this just to keep us on our toes, but it's like, what can we believe anymore? Like retirements and stuff were like sacred kind of things, and like like these are like real things where they're breaking K Fabe, and it's like the whole putting up of the X thing, that's really the killer thing. And taking off the boots and the the gloves, and come on, man, what are we doing?

We're messing with Oba, that's what we're doing. We're stepping on Oba's movement, that's what we're doing. Oba's gonna kill you, so that's fine. All right, yeah, we be he be he better. Um uh yeah, man. Basically, he does this cool line where he's just like he's he says, uh, I'm gonna leave. I would hurt you, Paul, but I need to leave you alive so you can tell the tale about what's gonna happen on Sunday. That's good. Roman shows up, it's his birthday to the tribal chief on that day. Uh Belt Guy, as I've called him. Belt Guy gives him his belt, also tries to give him a present, and Roman kind of smiles and he knocks the present all off. And so we don't know what it was. You know, Belt Guy just trying to just trying to get some points and OTC not about that. Yeah, that brings us to our uh first match of the evening. Boy, what end match it was. It was for the Intercontinental Championship match. It was an intercontinental championship match for the strap, obviously. It is Javon Evans versus Pinta. Pinta comes out, then we have a commercial. We come back, and Javon is already in the ring. And uh and so it jumps off. Uh Javon and Pinta at one point, uh Javon's like, hold on, hold on, hold on. And they do their handshake and they they're doing the walk, and then Javon hits them with a drop kick in the middle of the walk. Um Javon shows out early. Look, we keep singing the praises of Javon Evans. If y'all aren't on the Javon Evans bandwagon by now, I don't know what else the I don't know what more the young man has to do to get your praises, but he's him.

Dude, seriously, everybody. It's not just us saying that. It's just I've heard Cody Rhodes say that. I've heard The Undertaker say that. Like all these big dudes are named constantly naming Javon Evans, Trick Williams, uh, and Obafemi as the future. Those three guys are always, and always in the conversation. So big things are coming from all three of those guys.

They're like the big three right now. They're the big three right now. It's wonderful, wonderful thing. At one point, Javon tries to do a suicide dive. Penta catches him and then throws him. Looks like he throws him low, like into the announce table, and he uh Javon hits his lower back at on. It goes right before commercial. It's like, dang, that looked bad. Hopefully everything's good. Come back for commercial, we're okay. But they show two big replays, and they're like, oh, here's what you missed, and it's like, ooh, you probably shouldn't do that. They've been really good at not doing that a whole lot, but man, when Javon and Penta, I feel like, man, you don't want to miss any kind of big spots.

Yeah, and so it was like, mm-hmm, dang, man. Uh, but they had a great ending sequence. It was two OG cutters that got reversed from Pinta that allows him to hit the Met allows him to hit the Mexican destroyer, the winner, and still your intercontinental champion, Mr. Cierro Niero. It is Pinta. It was a great match. This needs to be this needs to be done at a PLE or a pay-per-view to give it room to breathe so you can see everything. So I think they would put on a phenomenal match. Javon is the future. Little interesting moment. Pinta goes to shake Javon's hand and Javon kind of slaps it away and walks off. So we'll get to that a little later. Just a reminder, everyone. WWE wants to remind you that for people like us who are on the West Coast, uh, Clash of Italy will be starting at 11 a.m. Uh, I think they're doing their pre-show. Pre-show damn near starts at like 9 or something like that. So yeah, yeah, but yeah, we'll see. I mean, we'll see. You know, it sounds like a might be a little wake and bake morning. Wake up Saturday, but it'll be like Saturday morning cartoons. Wake up and watch some wrestling. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So I used to be back in the day. So it is official, everybody. There is another member of the vision. There's officially a vision curse because Logan Paul did tear his tricep and he will be out for the foreseeable future. That brings us to Austin Theory going to Paul Heyman and going like, so what do you want me to do with this? And Heyman's like, What do you mean? Well, who do you want me to give the bell to? I mean, Paul's not here, so what are we doing? And Paul Heyman's like, Look, man, when I sign this contract, it's for the vision to be tag team champion. So that means that right now your tag team partner is Braun Breaker. So you are still very much a champion. So since Austin Theory's all happy about that, he's like, Cool. Well, I'm gonna focus my energy. I'm gonna hurt everybody that hurt Logan. Yeah. So that's his plan. That's his plan. Fun plan. We go to we go to commercial, we come back, Joe Hendries in the ring doing fire Logan Paul. Uh has got everybody into it, everybody's singing. Austin Theory comes uh and beats the freak out of him with uh with a steel chair and basically goes, Will Smith that keep keep my partner's name out your mouth. So yeah, Theory doesn't want to hear all that. So that takes us to Angela Dawkins is talking to Seth Rollins backstage. Seth Rollins is trying to apologize, saying that uh you know we got we have to get on the same page. The time to strike is now, now that Logan Paul is out. Uh Montez Four comes up and goes, Look, man, every time almost talks to him like Seth's not there. He's just talking to Doggings. Like, every time Seth Rollins gets involved, uh, nothing good happens when Seth's around, basically. Nothing good happens. Seth hits him with a look, man, like of everybody here, which one of us is a multi-time champ? Uh, which one of us is main event at WrestleMania? Uh me. You have it. And Montez hits him back with, okay, yeah, cool. I'm not a multi-time champion, and I I haven't main event at WrestleMania, but but but I've also never stabbed my brother in the back because I am my brother's keeper. Uh, where are your brothers? Seth Rollins. So I thought that was a I thought that was smooth. It's good. Yep. So Montez goes, in fact, why don't we show the people of Columbus, Ohio who is the best? I'm gonna go talk, somebody go talk to Adam Pierce and tell him uh set up a match. So uh yeah. They want to Montez wants some of the smoke with Seth Rollins, much to a little bit of the chagrin of Angelo Dawkins.

Then we get a nice little video promo just reminding everybody, hey, Mash V Mask, it's narrated by Rey Mysterio, so it's kind of giving you this little history and trying to give people the importance of like, hey, hey, you know, losing the mask loser the new the new triple A general manager, Ray Mysterio. Absolutely. I was gonna give him his flowers at the end. We can give him his flowers all the time. Ray Mysterio, absolutely, much to the chagrin of his son, Dirty Dom, but that's okay. Yeah, uh Ray Mysterio was named the new general manager for Triple A. It's a wonderful thing, it's well deserved, it's dope. Um, he's gonna be working with Taker to do storyline stuff, and it's gonna, I think it's gonna be really, really great. There's gonna be some great things coming out of Triple A. I look forward to it. Um But De Bray is just talking about the importance and the main thing that that everyone should take out of Mas V Mask for people that don't know the Lucha style is that Mas V Mask, while things are playing in storyline, uh a Lucha losing his mask is a whole thing. It's it's it's it's losing his identity. Like it's peep it's it's basically a retirement. You have to be you can't put that mask back on. It's not like, oh, you have the mask, but no, like you have to become a whole different persona, damn near, because that mask, that character is dead because that it died with the unmasking. So the mass v mask is very real. Just a reminder it is gonna be this Saturday um at uh uh Noche de los Grandes, it is OG El Grande Americano versus El Grande Americano, Mas V Mask. If we're keeping it 100, it's Chad Gable versus Ludwood Kaiser. Um it's gonna be a wonderful thing, which is basically a home game for Ludwood Kaiser for El Grande Americano, because I tell you what, man, with the with the recent news that has happened, he has been elevated to two superstars out there. It is an amazing, wonderful thing. Uh so Javon apologizes backstage to Pence. He's like, hey man, sorry I lost my cool. I'm frustrated, but uh no, I'm coming for that belt sooner than later. Uh Penta says, Penta runs into Ray, congratulates him for being the uh for being uh the new general manager. And he's like, hey, so but I want to face you, so let's go set it up for a little bit later. So they're gonna set it up for a little bit later. Uh that brings us to uh tag team match. It's judgment day versus Bailey and Lyra Valkyria. We've done this dance an awful, awful lot. Um so uh, you know, it's it's Liv Liv it's a very interesting moment where Liv gets caught cheating, she gets kicked out, but then Dom does stuff, doesn't get kicked out, uh, tries to toss the belt, there's a tug of war for the belt. Bailey takes advantage of it, so your winners are Bailey and Lyra Valkyria. And uh I think it was a big I think it was a whole big setup for like to show that the judgment day is falling apart. Because we're actually in the in the 20s. Once again, Roxy hits, yeah. And it's like we don't I don't think we need to be doing all that. Uh Pierce is talking to the OCT, oh OCT, OTC backstage, basically saying he should be fired. And uh uh Roman's like, nah, man, just make sure there's consequences in the contract, and hey, if Fatu happens to win, man, we're all we all might be screwed. So then they show a really nice Memorial Day uh video package. So we just want to say real quickly here at the Section 8 Wrestling Podcast, thank you everyone for your service, including the people that are over in Iran right now with everything that's going on. Oh, had I but known, I'd I'd have warned something great. Uh Big Jim comes out and he's basically Big Jim tells him, like, look, man, I want you to stay out of the business. And LA Knight's like, well, I warned you that if y'all went down this road, I would be here. And Jimmy's like, well, if Jay was here, we beat you up. And LA Knight's like, that's what I'm talking about. Like, you're proving my point. So family business is going to become my business if you keep stepping this way. Basically. Um, Pierce is talking to Rey Mysterio. Ethan Page comes up, and he basically instigates a match with Rusef where it's like, oh, he shouldn't instantly get a number one contender spot. He's uh overstepping some boundaries, so now it's a number one contender match later for Rusef and Rey Mysterio to see who's going to face Penta. So that brings us to a match. Uh, apparently it got made official. Seth Rollins versus Montez four. This is a very, very, very good match. I think the crowd was a little thrown off because it's kind of like they didn't really know who to cheer for because this kind of friction kind is kind of like, oh, okay, but it was a great way to showcase Montez. Seth does win clean. It's a it's it is a really good match. We're up against it. So I'm gonna speed through kind of a little bit of the end. Angelo Dawkins comes out, um, and Theory starts hitting him with a chair and just really jacks him up, like concertoes him with a chair. So like Angelo Dawkins gets hit hard, and they Seth and Montez are talking backstage, and I guess Dawkins is out. And Montez is like, all right, you're saying we need to work together. We need to do that. To where I would say, real quick, why would you have the Street Profits take five to six months off on SmackDown when they were the number one, considered the number one team there? Have them take five, six months off to have them come back, feud with Vision for three weeks, just to now write Angela Dawkins off. I don't understand, but we'll move on. Move on, I guess. I don't get it. I do not get it. All right. Kathy Kelly is talking to Becky Lynch and Becky's throwing shade at Soul talking about, oh, not only not only are you losing, but you got hurt too. Hopefully you make it hopefully you make it to Clash of Italy. That brings us to our main event of the evening. It is that match for the number one contender spot. It is Rusef against Rey Mysterio. Look, man, um you do get uh is this where uh yeah. This is uh Ethan Page is on commentary. He's out there. Him and Cole, he keeps he keeps calling Michael Cole Mike, which is an amazing thing. Um I'll fast forward the winner is Rey Mysterio. He does pick up the win clean, which is a great thing. It's still cool to watch Ray Mysterio go out there and do his thing. But Rusev does attack. Dragon Lee comes out to try to help. Ethan Page tries to jump in to help. It doesn't work, and Dragon and Ray, clean house. So maybe there's gonna be something there. We'll see. Uh, real quick, uh, that brings us to there's a little quick little segment where you see Austin Theory kind of walk past Maxine, Dupree, they give some eyes. Uh Alpha Academy's like, what's up with that? Maxine's like, don't worry about it. Weirdness. So that story is still developing. And then last but not least, we have the contract signing, another contract signing with Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns, where basically because of now blood oaths and things, uh, there's gonna be no, they're not gonna scrap. But, you know, Roman's like, you know, if this is the route you want to go, great, but understand what happens with all this. Like, you're gonna serve me if you lose. And Jacob's like, hey, look, man, look, hey, no matter what happens, I might still have a job. So I'm not really tripping, but I'm not losing, and you're gonna have to acknowledge me. And so they they they do a nice forehead touch because it it's it's it's a respectable kind of thing. There we are. That's Monday Night Raw, everybody. We did it, we cut it. Hey Billy!
