Mother’s Day Shoutouts: Gratitude, Grief, and the Women Who Raised Us
In today’s short but heartfelt episode of Do Better, Anthony sets aside the daily card to speak straight from the heart. He honors the moms in his life—his own mother, his wife Emmy, the mothers of his children, and his late GG. This episode is a thank you to all the women whose invisible work keeps the world turning. Whether today is full of joy or laced with grief, there's space for you here. Happy Mother’s Day.
Welcome back to the Do Better Podcast. Happy Mother's Day. This is Anthony. Normally I pull a card from my deck of Do better and do what it says, but today I'm gonna switch it up, no card, just intention. I wanna send some shout outs to the moms in my life. First to my mom, the original Mama Bear. Protect my.
And you always gimme a place to land every time I need it. So thank you mom. Thank you for everything and helping me be who I'm, I wanna say thank you to my wife Emmy. She's a nurse, a mom and a stepmom to our six little tornadoes. You come home after 12 hour shifts and still pour love out. I see it and I'm grateful.
A little different. I don't think a lot of people say this out loud, and I think more people should, but I wanna thank the incredible mothers to my kids. My ex-wives. Uh, when I dropped the ball, they picked it up. And that matters. I see it. And I thank you and any other mom listening in the whole world, your invisible world work.
Your invisible work keeps the world spinning.
Grief and gratitude can share the same seat. My Gigi was an amazing woman and she impacted so many lives, and she was an amazing mother, and she motivated and inspired me in ways that I didn't even know until she was gone. So Gigi, thank you so much for being the grandmother that you're in the. Yeah, you were.
So if you're listening, text or call your mom right now. Tell her she means something to you. Tell every mom in your life thank you and that you love them. Let her know the specific things you appreciate. It's gonna lift them up as much as they can. That's gonna be all for today. It's a short one, nice and short and heartfelt.
I'm gonna log off today from the internet and try to celebrate the women who raised me and the ones who are raising the next to my mom, my wife, and my ex-wives. Thank you and Happy Mother's Day and every other mom out there in the whole world. Thank you so.
