This week, I sit down with Bill Butrymowicz, the Jersey-born founder of Loom Drink, whose journey is as unique as the beverage he’s created. Growing up, Bill watched his father build a successful beverage distribution company from the ground up—a lesson in grit and perseverance that stuck with him. But before returning to his roots, Bill carved out a name for himself in an entirely different world as Billy the Kid, a well-known DJ.
An aha moment shifted his path, inspiring him to pursue a more balanced and grounded lifestyle—one that brought him back to the beverage industry with fresh perspective. Drawing on years of experience seeing what works (and what doesn’t) in the world of startup drinks, Bill launched Loom—a healthy alternative to juice that pays homage to his father’s legacy. The name itself, rooted in the word heirloom, reflects the values Bill has woven into every bottle: culture, community, health, and family.
Now, Loom is making waves across New Jersey and slowly expanding into other states—proof that a mission-driven product, built on passion and heritage, can truly resonate.
