Good morning,

Expect major delays on your morning commute as PennDOT launches an extensive, multi-township road work blitz today. Crews are hitting the tarmac across Crawford and Venango counties, executing bridge repairs on Route Twenty-Seven in Oil Creek Township and crack sealing on Interstate Seventy-Nine. Motorists in Summerhill and West Mead should brace for flaggers and shifting lane patterns for spray patching and shoulder cutting.

Meanwhile, a massive campaign cash divide is shaking up the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race. New primary election data shows a staggering gap in voter enthusiasm, with state Democrats out-turning Republicans nearly five-to-three in the uncontested primary. Incumbent Josh Shapiro currently boasts a massive thirty-seven million dollar war chest, compared to Republican challenger Stacy Garrity’s one-point-four million as the campaign heads into the summer.

And a unique summer program is bringing a "Jurassic Journey" to local families. The Meadville Public Library is launching its "Unearth a Story" reading challenge on June fifth, featuring interactive pop-up dinosaur museums, regional fossil digs, and a free weekday "Dino Diner" lunch program for kids under eighteen.
