Good morning,

A massive local manufacturing expansion is set to bring a wave of new jobs to the region. Barilla has launched a one-hundred-seventy million dollar expansion project at its dry pasta plant in Avon. The global brand plans to construct a new fifty-two thousand square-foot facility, adding multiple new production and packaging lines. Local economic development leaders say the project will expand the plant's workforce by sixty percent, creating nearly one hundred high-quality local jobs.

Meanwhile, your morning drive time is taking a hit in Allegany County as the New York State Department of Transportation launches a major paving project today. Crews are hitting a nine-mile stretch of Route Nineteen between the Falls Bridge in Belmont and the Wellsville Country Club. Daily work hours run from six a.m. to six p.m., reducing traffic to a single lane. Officials warn that regional school buses and Access Allegany Transit routes will face significant delays.

And the Town of Burns is stepping back in time this week to celebrate its bicentennial. Festivities kick off Friday with a square dance at Canaseraga Central School featuring historical twenty-five cent admission prices. The two-day two-hundredth birthday bash will also feature a soap box derby, a pet parade, and historic walking tours of the town's original eighteen-seventy-three jail.
