And good Wednesday morning to you. A York man has been charged in connection with a fatal 2024 accident in Lebanon County. Radio Novo's Tory Gates has the details from our Harrisburg studio.
SPEAKER_00Floyd Hearst is accused of charges that include homicide by vehicle and three counts of reckless endangering of another person. The incident occurred on Interstate 81 South in East Hanover Township in October of 2024. The 71-year-old Hearst, who was driving a tractor trailer, rear-ended a second vehicle, which collided with a FedEx van and another rig. The van operator, James Enris, was declared dead at the scene. The two other drivers were injured.
SPEAKER_01Police say the investigation into that tragic situation is ongoing. Troopers said Oliphant admitted to ingesting meth and smoking marijuana before getting behind the wheel. She's being held without bail, with a court appearance scheduled for next week. And few details are known about an emergency incident on the Market Street Bridge last night.
