             A heat advisory goes into effect for the Harrisburg area today.  The National Weather Service says heat index values could get up to 102 degrees in parts of central Pennsylvania, including Dauphin and Lebanon Counties.  The advisory begins at 11 a.m. and runs through tomorrow night. 

            A HORRENDOUS CASE OF CHILD ENDANGERMENT ALLEGED AGAINST THREE LEBANON COUNTIANS.

STATE POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE INTERSECTION OF QUARRY ROAD AND SOUTH LANCASTER STREET IN
SWATARA TOWNSHIP LAST FRIDAY MORNING. THE REPORTS WERE A FIVE-YEAR-OLD CHILD WAS FOUND
NAKED IN THE STREET; INVESTIGATORS DETERMINED THE CHILD HAD ESCAPED FROM A NEARBY HOME,
WHICH WAS CONSIDERED TO BE IN A HOARDING SITUATION, WITH RELATED FILTHY CONDITIONS. THE CHILD
WAS TAKEN TO AN AREA HOSPITAL FOR EVALUATION; ARRESTED WERE 21-YEAR-OLD JADE SHUEY, TUCKER
HEAGY, 20, AND STEPHANIE SCHAFFNER, WHO IS 42. ALL ARE CHARGED WITH FELONY CHILD WELFARE

National Weather Service says heat index values could get up to 102 degrees throughout the region. The advisory begins at 11 a.m. and will run through tomorrow evening. Be careful out there and stay plenty hydrated if you must be outdoors for extended periods of time. While a horrendous case of child endangerment has been alleged against three Lebanon Countyans, Radio Novo's Tory Gates has more from our Harrisburg studio.

State police were called to the intersection of Quarry Road and South Lancaster Street in Swatera Township last Friday morning. The reports were a five-year-old child was found naked in the street. Investigators determined the child had escaped from a nearby home, which was considered to be in a hoarding situation with related filthy conditions. The child was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Arrested were 21-year-old Jade Shui, Tucker Hagee, 20, and Stephanie Shaffner, who is 42. All are charged with felony child welfare endangerment. I'm Torrey Gates, Radio Novo News.

A 45-year-old Hummelstown man was apprehended in Florida by the U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force as a result of a Derry Township police department investigation into the statutory sexual assault of a juvenile. Two people inside the vehicle were taken into custody. And a fallen Central Burks police officer was honored by Philly's slugger Kyle Schwarber. The department posted a picture of Schwarber wearing a wristband with the name of Officer Kristen Yeager during last night's home run derby. Officer Yeager was killed in a crash this past May while responding to a call. Central Burks PD said Yeager would have absolutely loved seeing her name on baseball's biggest stage.
