The Liberated Self Podcast
This podcast is about connection and communication birthed from the Heart. My desire really is to be in intimate conversation with you and by that, I mean have a dialogue with the deepest and truest parts of your Self. Maybe most importantly I wish to speak to your Soul as well as the parts of you that you’ve hidden away, denied, and repressed due to shame, fear, guilt or out of survival. They became forgotten or buried memories. I want you to question some patterns you’ve learnt, beliefs systems you’ve adopted as your own which became trauma responses and/or survival mechanism you think represent who you truly are.
In this space we unravel and allow ourselves to fully feel. We do so by weaving the threads of remembrance through self-exploration, deeper body awareness, sensual observations, mental curiosity, communication and connection to self and others. I’ve learnt over the years that people can move through feelings and emotions in a multitude of ways.
Ultimately, I hope to hold space for you or anyone who is ever invited here to experience themselves deeply and, in the process, re-awaken the medicine stories that live deep inside our bellies, our womb space, for true freedom and liberation. I am here simply to hold space for however your soul wishes to express itself moments to moments and help you remember who you truly if you wish.

The grief that deepens us
It is interesting how we all have the capacity to feel grief but grief can sometimes feel like such an isolating experience because we are too often afraid to be vulnerable and honest with ourselves and others about the depth of our emotional state. So, we often experience grieve and don’t really let ourselves mourn.
Mourn not just the loss of a loved one but the old versions of us who died in our process of becoming, our journey of transformation. The old versions who are longing to be acknowledged, witnessed and sometimes even celebrated for having carried us through life until now.
In this episode I explore grief and how grief had the ability to change us, shake us, bring us to our knees, move us, uproot us, and in the end, deepen us and break our hearts open to more love if we allow it to. I provide a potential pathway to embody grief in a way that heals us and gives us permission to let go of the past through Ancestral rituals examples from the Akan culture.
