Rooted to Rise: Why Your Waiting Season Matters
Ever found yourself scrolling through social media, seeing others' successes, and suddenly feeling that sinking sensation that everyone else is moving forward while you're standing still? That sneaky feeling of being left behind is exactly what we confront in this episode.
Your timeline isn't broken—it's custom built. Through powerful biblical examples of David, Joseph, and even Jesus, we explore how waiting seasons aren't delays but divine design. What looks like falling behind might actually be falling in step with the purpose God has crafted specifically for you. The proper time for harvest mentioned in Galatians 6:9 doesn't follow social media's schedule—it follows heaven's.
This episode offers more than just encouragement; it provides a complete mindset shift. Instead of asking "Why am I behind?" learn to ask "What is God building in me during this season?" Discover practical ways to breathe, regroup, and keep showing up for your current audience—whether that's thousands or just two people. When you walk in the rhythm of grace rather than the pace of performance, you'll find freedom from comparison and the strength to keep building even when results aren't immediate. Your purpose isn't in jeopardy—it's unfolding exactly as it should. Download our free Resilient Creator Roadmap mentioned in the show notes to help you stay consistent even when life feels heavy, and remember: you're not behind, you're being built.

Welcome to Standing with Tele, the podcast that reminds you that, no matter what life throws your way, you can still stand strong, stand soft and stand in faith. I'm your host, tele resilience and life story coach, and also the host of the podcast Navigating the Chapters of Challenge with Tele. This space is for the person who's been through the fire but hasn't lost their flame, for the creator who's doubting their voice but still has something to say, for anyone who needs to know you are not alone and this is not the end of your story. Each episode is a breath of encouragement shot, powerful reflections rooted in truth, hope and healing. So if you're tired, weary or wondering if it's still possible to rise, you're in the right place. Let's take a deep breath and begin. Episode 3.
When you feel behind, let's talk about one of the most uncomfortable, sneaky emotions we wrestle with, the feeling of being behind or the feeling of being left behind. It can hit suddenly. You see someone's new course launched, another creator's viral reel, a friend's book being released, a podcast interview or glowing testimonials and, before you know it, you're questioning your own pace, your own value and your own story. Can I just pause and tell you this? God is not comparing the clocks. He is cultivating purpose. Your timeline is not broken, it's custom built. You are not late, you are not lazy and you haven't missed your moment.
Let's look at Galatians 6, 9 again. It says let's not grow weary in well-doing, for at the proper time we will reap the harvest if we do not give up. The verse doesn't say when you go viral, you reap. It says at the proper time. But here's the part we often miss, your proper time may look different than someone else's, and that's okay. David was anointed king but didn't sit on the throne for years. Joseph, remember him? He dreamed about ruling nations, but spent time in a pit and a prison first. And Jesus waited 30 years before launching his public ministry, and his time was divine. What if your waiting isn't a delay? What if it is a design? What if God is stretching your roots so your future won't collapse under success? Instead of asking why am I behind, ask what is God building in me that's what waiting for?.
Here's the shift I want you to embrace today. You're not falling behind. You're falling in step with the season God has actually called you to, not the one that social media is pressuring you to chase. So what can you do today? Breathe, breathe again and regroup. Keep showing up for the audience you already have, even if it's just two people, and trust that your proper time will never miss you. Let comparisons go, let rushing go and walk in the rhythm of grace, not the pace of performance. Your purpose isn't in jeopardy, it's unfolding. Stay faithful, keep building. You're not behind, you're being built.
