Forgotten But Not Abandoned
Have you ever reached that breaking point in your waiting season where you genuinely wonder if God has simply forgotten about you? That uncomfortable space where prayers seem to echo back unanswered, and divine silence feels less like wisdom and more like abandonment?
This episode speaks directly to that raw, vulnerable place where faith meets human doubt. Drawing from Isaiah 49:15-16, we explore the profound truth that your name isn't just written down somewhere in heaven—it's permanently engraved on the palms of God's hands. That imagery isn't accidental. While even a mother might theoretically forget her nursing child (though nearly impossible), God's remembrance of you is literally carved into His being.
What looks like being overlooked is often being carefully prepared. What feels like delay isn't denial—it's development. Sometimes God hides us to heal us, shields us to strengthen us, and keeps certain doors closed until we've developed the character to handle what waits on the other side. The waiting period isn't punishment; it's protection. It's not about divine forgetfulness but divine faithfulness ensuring we develop deeper roots before bearing public fruits. If you're feeling stuck between the promise and its fulfillment, this message offers both comfort and perspective to help you stand strong even when answers seem distant. Remember: you're not behind, you're not invisible, and you're certainly not forgotten. Download our free Resilient Creator Roadmap to help you navigate this season with renewed strength and purpose.

Welcome to Standing with Tele, the podcast that reminds you that, no matter what life throws your way, you can still stand strong, stand soft and stand in faith. I'm your host, tele resilience and life story coach, and also the host of the podcast Navigating the Chapters of Challenge with Tele. This space is for the person who's been through the fire but hasn't lost their flame, for the creator who's doubting their voice but still has something to say, for anyone who needs to know you are not alone and this is not the end of your story. Each episode is a breath of encouragement short, powerful reflections rooted in truth, hope and healing. So if you're weary or wondering if it's still possible to rise, you're in the right place. Let's take a deep breath and begin Episode 6.
God didn't forget about you. Have you ever prayed for something and waited, and waited, and waited and are still probably waiting? And then you started to wonder did God forget about me? Did he change his mind? Am I even called to do anything? What exactly is going on? If you felt like that, you're not alone. I've been there many times. I've asked those questions over and over and over again, but I'm here to remind you of something, something unshakable, God didn't forget about you, not because you've been quiet, not because you've been inconsistent, not because you've doubted or cried or taken long pauses between your obedience. He sees it all in the journal entries you never posted, the prayers you whispered in your car, the times you showed up with a broken heart and kept going. Anyway, He was there and He still is.
Let's look at Isaiah 49, 15, 16. It says can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you. See, I have engraved you on the palm of my hands, not written in pencil, not stamped in ink, but engraved. So your name, your voice, your story, it's all on His hands. You may have been hidden for a while, but you've never been abandoned. You may feel delayed, but you're not disqualified, and that's what I've learned. Sometimes God hides you to heal you. Sometimes He hides you to help you. Sometimes He delays what you're waiting for, not to punish you but to protect you, because He's been preparing you and He needs you to have deeper roots before public fruits. So don't confuse quiet with forgotten. He's still walking, He's still aligning, He's still shaping the right people, the right timing, the right stage, and when He opens that door, you will know it wasn't luck, it was legacy built in the silence. So today, let go of the lie that you've been overlooked. You're not behind, you're not invisible. You are chosen, and the one who called you is not done yet.
