Hello and welcome back to Quiet English with Jackie. I'm Jackie. Today we come to the end of our story, and I want you to listen closely because this part is very quiet. Yes, and very meaningful. After the giant lifted the little boy into the tree, everything began to change. The garden was no longer cold. The snow melted and the frost disappeared. Warm sunlight filled the air. The children came back. They were no longer afraid. They ran across the soft grass, laughed under the trees, and played happily together. The giant smiled. My garden is now full of children, he said, and it is full of joy. From that day on the giant was no longer selfish. Every afternoon when school was over the children came to play, and the giant would sit and watch them. Sometimes he joined them, and sometimes he simply listened to their laughter. But there was one thing that stayed in his heart. The little boy. The giant looked for him every day, but the boy did not return. Where is he? The giant would ask. But no one knew. The years passed. The giant grew older. His hair became white. And his steps became slow. But still he loved his garden and he loved the children. One morning, one winter morning, many years later, the giant looked out his window. The garden was quiet again, but something was different. In one corner there was a tree covered in white blossoms. It was strange because it was winter, and yet this one tree was full of life. The giant went outside slowly and walked toward the tree. And there, standing beneath it was the little boy. The giant's face filled with joy. You have come back, he said. I have been waiting for you But then the giant saw something. On the boy's hands there were small marks, and on his feet there were marks too. Who has hurt you? The giant asked. Tell me and I will protect you. But the boy smiled gently. These are the marks of love, he said. The giant stood very still. Then the boy said You let me play once in your garden. Today you will come with me to my garden. The giant understood. That afternoon, when the children came to play, they found the giant lying peacefully under the tree. He was covered in white blossoms, and his face his face was calm. Thank you for listening to Quiet English with Jackie. This story reminds us that kindness can change a heart and love can change a life. If this story has meant something to you, send me a message and tell me where are you listening from and what this story taught you. I may share your message in a future episode. So until next time, take care and God bless.
