Tacloban School Tragedy: Where Do We Find Hope? | A Biblical Response

Our hearts are heavy.
The heartbreaking school tragedy in Tacloban has left families grieving, students traumatized, and an entire nation searching for answers.
In this special episode of Rise Tayo, we don't attempt to explain every "why." Instead, we turn to God's Word to discover what it teaches about the human heart, spiritual warfare, the danger of unresolved anger and bitterness, and the hope that is found only in Jesus Christ.
Together we'll look at the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4, where God warned Cain before tragedy struck, reminding us that the greatest battles often begin in the heart. We'll also talk about the spiritual battle for the next generation, the importance of raising our children in the fear of the Lord, and why parents and the Church have such a vital role in discipling young people.
Most importantly, this episode points to the One who is near to the brokenhearted. Jesus never promised a life free from suffering, but He did promise His presence, His peace, and His victory:
