The Philippines is facing difficult times. Corruption, political division, rising costs of living, natural disasters, violence, and growing struggles with depression, anxiety, and hopelessness have left many Filipinos asking:
"How do we keep going?"
In this episode of Rise Tayo, we turn to Hebrews 11—the Bible's "Hall of Faith"—to learn from ordinary men and women who trusted an extraordinary God through impossible circumstances.
But the story doesn't end there.
The writer of Hebrews points us to Hebrews 12:1-2, reminding us that our ultimate hope is not found in the heroes of faith, but in Jesus Christ—the Author and Finisher of our faith.
Together we'll explore:
🇵🇭 Why so many Filipinos are losing hope today
📖 What biblical faith really is—and what it isn't
🙏 What it means to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)
✨ Lessons from Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, and the other heroes of Hebrews 11
👑 Why Jesus—not our circumstances—is the foundation of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2)
❤️ God's promises to the brokenhearted and weary
🕊️ The living hope found only in Jesus Christ
No matter what you're facing today—financial struggles, family problems, grief, anxiety, uncertainty, or disappointment—you are not alone.
Our hope is not found in the economy.
Our hope is not found in politicians.
Our hope is not found in our circumstances.
Our hope has always been—and always will be—in Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
At the end of this episode, I share an invitation to place your faith in Jesus Christ and begin walking by faith instead of by sight.
