New Moon In Pisces Themes

Class is officially out and the study room is in session. We're gonna go local and then we're gonna go abroad. So on March 18th at 9 23 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, we have our new moon in Pisces. And I'm so excited that we are starting our dive into the zodiac. So when we talk about these moons and their signs as we go through them, it's going to resonate with you a little bit better as we get through the signs in like 10 months or something.

It'll take a year, but yeah, our next new moon after this one will be the new moon in Aries.

Oh, I love that. Oh, we did that on purpose, but I did that on purpose. I guess it was all intentional, but I didn't even like actually think about that as far as the new moon sign. So I love that. Yeah, um, it'll be such a good time to like reflect on that sign. But we I also want to mention that we are ending our eclipse cycle, right, Jordan? We're done with our eclipses. Yeah, we are done with eclipses until the fall. And I believe that was our last. It wasn't our last eclipse in Virgo, right? We have one next year.

Virgo. So we have one more. We're almost done. You fucking lied to. I know. So I don't know where I heard this, but okay, I felt like I kept hearing that we are almost done. We are almost out of it.

It's at one degree. Wow, it's like almost out of there.

Ember 6:41

It's at one degree. So, so we are not done with our Virgo eclipse, but it will be the last one for a while. And I know this eclipse for me has been a little bit of a doozy. Um, there's just been a lot of deep work and also deep transformation in how I've been handling and processing information. So make that with what you will with Mercury retrograde things. Um I'm a little bit relieved that we are ending eclipse season and things will start to feel a little bit lighter. And with that lightness, um, I do think Pisces can be that sort of like dreamy, intuitive, emotional connection that we feel um when you're thinking of like a classic Pisces. I wanted to say that we're gonna feel lighter with Pisces, but I don't necessarily think of Pisces as like a light sign. So it there may be some intensity there around dreams or dream work if you're into that. Um, I know I've been having some really crazy dreams since the eclipse. And part of me was wondering maybe it's gonna kind of continue from this like full moon to the new moon cycle. Um, and potentially maybe after that, those dreams will get a little less intense. I don't know. Have you been experiencing that? I've been talking to some other witchy intuitive types, and they have also been really I wouldn't call my dreams crazy.

I do remember my dreams a lot, so that's not abnormal. Um my dreams have not been like what I would call crazy, they they're just like regular crazy dreams.

Okay, like you know, the things that you can get away with in a in dreams, like dream logic, is already crazy in its own right.

Yeah, that's true. And you do you do have pretty cool dreams. So yeah, I think you know, this consider this new moon a time of of course it's new moon, new beginnings. So maybe a new beginnings around your intuition or new beginnings around any sort of like emotional, spiritual connections here. But I will definitely be tracking my dreams and see how they change after this new moon. Do you have any do you have anything to add, Jordan, before we go on to like our global astro weather?

Yeah, I think the only thing that I had thought of is the host of this new moon is Jupiter. Jupiter is exalted in cancer and has just recently stationed direct, so it's not retrograde anymore. Um, and I would just look to uh the houses that you have Pisces and Cancer in, um, because they're trining by sign, which is a good thing. So just something to think about in your own chart.

War Signatures And Astrology Ethics

All right, let's get into some uh let's get into some astro weather, which can we just talk about how if you go back and listen to our last episode We called it That is so upsetting, but also whoa And we're not the only ones that called it.

Jordan 9:55

This is something well let's talk let's talk about what we're talking about. Um so a few days after we had recorded our last episode, the US and Israel had bombed Iran and kicked off some war, and that was something that we've talked about several times already in all of our astro weather segments, and lots of other astrologers have called this as well that the the Neptune-Saturn ingress into Aries was a signature for war, and I mean it happened just a week after these places ingressed, these planets ingressed. So astrology does its thing, I guess.

It's so wild. And I wanna um so if you go back and listen to our episode with Elise, you hear us talking about uh that specifically, and I forgot I had texted you, Jordan, what I had said, what it like that blew my mind, but it was like a thought you were saying that at the time.

Jordan 10:46

Oh, you said something like a a rebirth will happen? Yes, okay. I thought that was like your reaction to what I was saying at the time. I didn't realize you said that in the episode.

Ember 10:57

No, yeah, that was that was what we said in the episode. Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I recently heard I didn't hear it, it was TikTok scrolling, but somebody just talking about how astrology and this prediction of war, it's like, okay, great. Astrologers are like, wow, we predicted this, we knew this was gonna happen. Um, and that's great, but like, what are we gonna do about it? And that was kind of the message that this astrologer, oh, it was queer, queer cosmos, is that their name? Yeah, I love them. They're so fun, like they have such great messages on Instagram, but they were just talking about how it's now our so we knew it was gonna happen, we know what's going to happen, whatever, but like what are we gonna do about it? And it's essentially using astrology and making connections to things in order to create the universe and the life that we want. So instead of just going and using predictive astrology, be able to channel that information and know, okay, if this is what's going to happen, what am I going to do about it? And I really like that and resonated with that.

Yeah, it makes me think a lot about like the free will versus fate debate.

Hmm.

Jordan 12:15

Which I don't I don't think I believe in. I definitely don't I don't think I believe in like a hundred percent fate, but there is a thought, especially with the traditional predictive things, there's uh some people believe that this is all predetermined anyway, so even being able to predict it doesn't change anything. I don't know, I just felt like throwing that out there to be a contrarian, I guess, but I don't really have an opinion on it.

Yeah, I think I think with anything, with divination in general, when we're online and we're talking about all these different modalities and powers that we have with magic or with knowledge, it's important. I think it's it comes down to like we use our knowledge for good. You know what I mean? Like, what are we where are we and how are we showing up in the world? And not to just be like fear mongerers and not just to like go out there and be like, Well, I knew this was gonna happen. It's like great. Where how are you showing up now?

Jordan 13:15

Yeah, I will say I don't know any astrologers who are coming who are being like, I told y'all, like, I think everyone has like a respect for it, I think, and kind of like it's not that I wanted war to happen, but it's definitely something for everyone to sit with as far as like what do you want to do with the information that's given to you kind of thing.

Yeah, absolutely. All right, Jordan, you want to tell us what's what else is going on now currently or in the next few weeks?

Jordan 13:38

Yeah, so Mercury stations direct uh a few days from now on March 20th, um, but the shadow period will be until April 9th. So it's still a little bit, yeah. Um Jupiter station direct recently, which I already mentioned. And then because this is an episode about Aries, I wanted to throw out that the sun ingresses into Aries on March 20th until the night of April 19th. So that is officially our Aerie season. Um and we did intentionally film this ahead of time so that it can come out right before this season starts. So you're welcome. We love you.

You Have Every Sign In Chart

Ember 14:11

You get to really dive into airy season. Their sun, moon, and rising. And they say something like, Oh, I don't have any water in my chart. Or like, and talking about like water signs, right? Or I don't have any earthy elements in my chart because I'm a I'm an Aries said triple fire, yeah. And every time I have I very lovingly point out, well, well, actually. You have all of the signs in your chart, and they are all sitting. They do the signs sit in houses, or do the signs host the house, or does the house host the sign?

Jordan 15:28

I, you know, you honestly, I think you could interchange them a bit. I say the sign occupies the house.

Ember 15:33

Okay, so the sign occupies a house, right? We have 12 houses in our chart. We went over that. You can go check out our episode on it. And each of those signs live in one of those different areas of your life. So even if you don't have a planet that's being like uh a planet that is living in that house with that sign, you can still look to that sign for guidance on that specific area of your life, depending on what house is in. Does that make sense, Jordan?

Did I Yeah, yeah. So yeah, you're always going to, there's two ways to look at it. Like, yes, you look at the you still look at the sign in that house uh to delineate some meaning about what's going on in that part of your life. And then you're also gonna look to the planet that rules that sign and what that planet is doing in other parts of your chart and that connects those two houses.

Ooh, that totally makes sense. Okay, so that's like the level up that I haven't gotten to yet. Yeah.

Oh yeah. Okay.

So that makes sense. So you look at the house rulers, which I think did we talk about that?

Um, so just just sit with that. If you are somebody who's always just been like, I don't have any of this sign in my chart, then just kind of sit with that and go check out your chart and see which house that sign shows up in.

First Impressions Of Aries

Jordan 16:52

Um so I have been really excited to get into our Aries deep dive. I have been I've been looking forward to this pretty much, I think, since we finished Saturn. Um, this is like we have said this a million times. It's a bread and butter of what we're doing here, and I'm really excited because we always come up with like new ideas that neither of us had considered before. Um, and we are formatting this like very differently from the planet series, and I'm excited to see where it grows from here. And what I want to do at the beginning of each one um is Ember, I want to ask you what do you already know about Aries? And like, what's your current impression of Aries before we start talking about it?

I have Aries trauma.

So yeah, I have some people in my life that were Aries that multiple people that really hurt me.

Ember 17:37

Um, so Aries, I know is a cardinal fire sign. It's it's the beginning, right? It's the start of the zodiac. Um, I know that Aries are like the headstrong warrior types, uh, very much like representative of self. I and and this is where I really fall into line with the uh natural houses. Because I do think Aries very much embodies the first house. Like I think they are the first house. They're spicy.

What key themes do you already know about Aries?

Ember 18:17

Spicy warrior, spicy, brave, headstrong, can be aggressive, but super loyal.

Jordan 18:30

Oh, interesting.

Ember 18:32

Actually, none of those people were loyal.

Jordan 18:35

I don't know of loyalty as an Aries trait.

Ember 18:37

Yeah, I don't know where that came from. No, I'm gonna take that one back. Um yeah, I think those are the ones like willing, I guess like willing to fight for you. That's what I think I mean by loyal.

Aries behind a cause for sure.

Ember 18:50

That's that's what I mean by loyal.

Jordan 18:52

Yeah, that that's a yeah, that's fair. And then something I want to go back over again is just talking about what makes a sign different from a planet. Um, and you can view this however it resonates with you. I'm gonna talk about how I view it personally. The the planets are the people, they are the gods, they're the ones doing things, they're the characters, they're the actors, all of those analogies. And then the signs are not in in this analogy, they're not alive the same way that a planet is. So the sign is like the personality, the sign is the costume or the character that the planet is playing. I do like to additionally, like, I do like to personify the signs because I think that that's how I get to know them better, but I do the planets are the ones that I more intently work with as deities, and not so much the signs. Um, but that doesn't mean that there's a right or wrong way to do it. I just want to throw that out there. What do you, how does that resonate with you, Ember?

I think it does. I think for me, just because I love the mythology, it's very easy for me because the planets are like named after a lot of the Greek date, like Greek deities, so it's really easy for me to see the planets as these characters or uh you know gods, and then I see the zodiacs as like archetypes representing them.

What Makes Aries Aries

Jordan 20:10

That's fair. Because I I think I said this in the last episode. I do like to see like the two signs that make up a planet, and this is traditionally not modern, um, but the two signs that make up a planet, like you learn more about that planet's personality when you combine these two signs, like Venus being a Taurus and a Libra combined kind of thing. Alright, so now we're gonna talk about what makes up all of the signs. Um, starting with Aries, of course. So Aries is a masculine cardinal fire sign, and Aries is also ruled by Mars. So these are the four components that make up what a sign is. We haven't had our elements modality episode yet, but that will be coming uh next after this episode. So make sure to check that out. I won't go too deep into it now, but basically we have the polarity, we have the element, we have the modality, and then we have the ruling planet. So for Aries, cardinal fire ruled by Mars, masculine sign. Ember, do any of those stick out to you for what you know about Aries?

Um, yeah, I think so. I I'm excited for the uh modality is like cardinal fixed. Yeah. So I I know which ones are cardinal. Not off the top of my head, I have to like go around.

Um, you know, cardinal, fixed, immutable, but I don't necessarily always remember what those what that actually means about the sign. Um besides it's probably like the most active. And it being masculine and fire, I think, you know, fire is usually masculine, right?

Jordan 21:46

Like our fire yeah, uh fire, fire and air are always masculine.

Ember 21:50

Okay, yeah. So I think it it definitely represents a classic Aries when we're picturing that like strong warrior type and and masculine in the sense of like, I think divine. Masculine, not necessarily gender.

Jordan 22:03

Yeah, some people like to use different terms. Like, I know Nicholas Channey likes to use outward and inward, I think, or external and internal.

Oh, interesting.

Jordan 22:16

Yeah, some people use yin and yang. I do like to use yin and yang sometimes instead of masculine and feminine, but some I I do also use masculine and feminine. So we're thinking about cardinal. Cardinal is the the modality that initiates. Um cardinal is also kind of known to like not burn out quickly, but to kind of like move on quickly. Um cardinal isn't known for that staying power. Um and then we have fire. Fire is creative, passionate, um, dangerous, exciting, full of energy, spicy, spicy. Um, and then masculine being kind of like very outward and active. Um, it's about external expressions rather than the internal things. Um, and then we have ruled by Mars, which, check out our Mars episode. Mars is our planet of passion and action and aggression. Uh, so these things all make up Aries. And then some people also use this technique of looking at the exalted ruler. So the exalted ruler of Aries is the sun, so it's also kind of adding in a layer of like Aries is a mixture of Mars and the Sun, which is kind of interesting to think about. Um what's an exalted ruler? The planet that ha has its exaltation in that sign. Gotcha. Which is interesting to think about because you know, a lot of people with this whole the statement that goes along with Aries is I am or to be, which some people argue is kind of more of like a Leo trait, uh, to say I am. And it's interesting that it's a sign with Aries who has the sun exalted in this temple. So what do you think about that?

I think it makes a lot of sense. When I think Leo, I think like I don't know what the actual words are, but I think of like I show. Like I don't know. Uh and Aries truly embodies the I am. You know, for the natural houses, I think that's how I think of the first house too. Is like the I am is part of the first house. So it makes a lot of sense to me that that would be. What do you call these? These to be I am statements.

I actually don't know what people call them.

What are we gonna call them?

I just call them the the statements. I've never talked about them out loud enough to like have had to come up with anything else to call them.

Yeah, but each sign does have one, and I think I am definitely resonates with Aries.

Aries Keywords And Core Archetypes

Jordan 24:58

Okay, so now I want to talk about the keywords. So this is the point of the episode where you get your pens and your pencils and your highlighters and start to get ready to write things down. So I'm gonna list out some things about Aries. So Aries is bold and brave. Aries is impulsive, active, selfish, aggressive, impatient, independent, youthful, rebellious, defiant, present-oriented, and passionate. Let everyone sit with that for a second. I want to talk, let's talk, talk about first about the present-oriented one. So talking about present-oriented, so Aries is a sign that doesn't think about the past or the future. Aries lives very much in the now. What am I gonna do right now? And going along with that, Aries doesn't really hold a grudge, like that kind of thing. Like Aries isn't really out seeking, you know, insane revenge that they've had on their mind for a decade. It's kind of like, what am I doing today? Not what am I doing today for tomorrow, but just what am I doing today? What am I doing right now? What decision is happening right now? What are we doing right now?

So you pissed me off right now, and I'm going to go. Now I'm gonna punch you in the face.

Jordan 26:06

Yeah, and I didn't I didn't think about it, I didn't think about the consequences. You upset me and I punched you. Like that is very Aries. Um, and then some archetypes that go along with Aries are the hero, the pioneer. Aries is, I would also kind of say is like the colonist. Um, Aries is the athlete and then also the warrior. And I like to think that Aries kind of has like a Napoleon complex too. Like Aries, Aries definitely wants to like show off whatever they do have, whatever big or little that is. What good things do we have to say about Aries? Oh, we've said some good things. Okay, let's talk about the good things. So yeah, let's talk about the good things. So Aries is exciting, and then going back to like Aries being youthful, like Aries has that excited, bright, young energy. Um, being bold and brave is a great thing. Aries is active, Aries likes to move, which is great to see. Aries is a very, you know, I feel like I could say every sign is pretty embodied except Pisces. Um, but Aries is very like in the body. What can I do with my body? What could what does my body do? What am I capable of? I so agree with that.

I think Aries is truly like, if I were to think of a sign of joy, like that is Aries. I feel like Aries just doesn't overthink, just jumps in and is like, what am I experiencing today? We need to, I don't know. I picture Aries as like the life, the life of the party in the sense of like just brings light and joy into things when they're feeling super passionate and excited, like that energy that we want to embody when we truly find something we love is like Aries energy.

Jordan 27:44

Yeah. And Aries is also a sign of a freedom and independence as well. And I think kind of going a little bit back to like the the pioneering and like the settling, Aries is the one who goes out to start something new. Like Aries breaks ground. I heard this saying, um, and it has to do with had to do with Aries. And it was you know, I think I wrote this down, and I actually I want to make sure I quote it correctly. The plough must break the crust of the soil, and the sperm must break the wall of the ovum. And this has to do with like Aries kind of being seen as a violent sign, and Mars being a violent planet. Um, but how these things going with the whole death and rebirth cycle, something has to be ripped apart or torn down or broken for something else to come. The soil has to be broken for things to grow from it. The the sperm has to penetrate the ovum in order for a baby to form. So Ares is the one that like takes charge of those kind of actions, even though like they're scary or like no one's done it before. Like Ares is going head first for it.

Ugh, I love that. And they are the beginning of the Zodiac. They're like, we gon' get this party started.

Thema Mundi And Sign Dignities

Jordan 28:57

Let's go! And then going with this whole like good or bad thing, too, like Ares is rebellious and defiant, which can go completely either way. Like, and it's all opinion-based about whether you're rebelling for a good cause or not, or are you rebelling in the wrong way? And that's completely up to the individual of what they think is right or wrong, but that's another thing that Ares will do is rebel against whatever is the norm. Because they're the trendsetters, they're the ones that are creating something new. So now I'm sharing the Thema Mundi on the screen, and we've talked about this a couple times before, but for anyone who doesn't remember, the theme of considered the birth chart of the cosmos, of our universe.

Yeah. Uh, but in the theme of this is um for another thing, this scheme, this chart gives us our rulerships of the planets. And you can learn a lot about the world with this chart. And Aries is the tenth house in this chart. Aries is the mid-heaven of the entire universe. Um, so the way that we show up in the world, the way that we are seen publicly as the universe, is Aryan. And I felt called to share that.

So this is the birth of the universe? I think that's so the way we show up in the world is very Aryan. Is that is that correct? Is that what you said?

Jordan 30:32

Yes. Like the way the way that we're viewed publicly. Like the the 10th house is like how we look to the public.

I wonder what that means. Like, my first thing that came to mind is like, are humans selfish? But the humans are not the universe, right? Like, this isn't about humans.

Jordan 30:50

I was thinking that we're passionate and aggressive.

Ember 30:53

And I just, you know, we were kind of joking about the positives and the negatives, and I think with every sign, it's kind of important for us to point out that there are positive and challenging aspects of every sign, and so it's always that like you know, strong-willed, but maybe need assurance and assertiveness, which is seen very positively, but can come across as aggressive and can be inspirational, but can make others feel bullied. Yeah, I definitely think like there there are the the lights and the shadow parts of each sign. So you want like you know, you want the aggression, you want all that stuff too. Um, and it's just finding like the perfect way to have it all, I guess.

Aries Glyph And Fire Analogies

Jordan, can we talk a little bit about maybe like some of the basics about Aries, like the glyphs and the I know the glyphs, so I think we should talk about the glyphs for everyone, and when we continue, and just so everyone knows, glyphs are and Jordan, you might be able to like provide more information on it, but glyphs are just like a a pictorial representation of the planet, like a symbol. And so I really like glyphs, especially for magic, because you can use them in sigils, you can use them in spell work, you can use them to meditate, you can take the glyph and make I do this because I it's like a hint to what the Aries one is. Um, you can take that and actually, you know, redesign it and incorporate it into artwork. So glyphs are very cool. And I also think glyphs are almost like learning another language. As you start to look at charts more, you are going to all the charts have glyphs on them, right? They don't actually say like Saturn and Mars and you know, this is Aries. Um, but you'll be able to look at that chart and start to piece together the chart faster because you're understanding the language. I think glyphs can definitely be considered like a language of astrology.

I actually remember the first time that I kind of like I had this sort of like epiphany of like, oh, this is how I'm communicating with spirit and with the divine was when I was I was meditating and I started to get these symbols in my meditation. And I was like, oh, these this is like this is the language that spirit communicates to me with.

Anyway, um something that he had talked about in the book, in that book, was that spirit will often try to use a language that is accessible to you to the best that they can. They'll try to use that to communicate with you. So if as I have given myself this like esoteric language, um, spirit will now use that, will utilize that to try to talk to me.

You know, you have like the ovaries, and yeah, that literally just came to me just now as I was looking at a picture of it. Um, it totally looks like a uterus. It's missing like the thick uterine body, but it's it's missing the actual uterus, but it's got the tubes. It's the otory, it's the ovaries, right? And if it comes together, yeah, that's your I guess it could also be testicles and a penis.

I think something too talking a lot about like creation, because with the whole power statements of like the I am, like the like Leo is I create. And it's interesting to me that this keeps coming up because again, the sun who rules Leo, the sun is exalted here in Aries. Um, and fire is of course creativity, so yeah, lots of creation.

If you want to level up your magic and your practice, like a thousandfold, go to a conference. It was amazing. And I was listening to, I think it might have been Eva. No, it was Christopher Penzak actually, was talking about the air element, and he brought up these fractions, and then I think they were called the esoteric elements. So it was basically it's basically variations of core elements. So it's like um, it's like sand instead of earth, like soil. Um, so it's these different forms of the elements that come up, and the way they're expressed are almost like a fraction. So you have like fire of fire, you have air of fire, you have water of fire, and so there these correlated uh to the zodiac sign and what Aries represents is the fire of fire. And I think that I I can't remember off the top of my head what Sag is. I feel like Sag was like, was it Earth of Fire? Um, and I just wanted to bring I don't remember off the top of my head, but I wanted to bring these up because as we go through and explore, I'm interested in seeing how these differ between each other. And to just, I think to think of Aries as that classic first, like fire of fire. And I wonder if it has to do with like the cardinal fixed immutable signs. Like they're probably, I'm assuming, going to be all this the same. Like the yeah, the cardinal will always be like the water of water and the fire of fire. But we're gonna find out because I have no idea.

Aries Versus Libra And Scorpio

I know. Anyway, we're going down we're this is why I love these episodes. We go down, we go down paths. But these are esoteric elements. We are gonna come back to these and we maybe we'll have more information on them next time. But they're kind of fun, they're fun to think about. And if you're and I think if You're looking at channeling these different uh zodiac signs, and there's a specific element you're trying to channel, and you're trying to pick which ones those might resonate with you. That's just another thing for you to look at.

The next thing I want to talk about is the Aries and Libra axis. And so talking about this'll this will start to make more sense when we're in the second half of this series. Um, but we're gonna talk about Libra as if we have already talked about Libra. So Aries and Libra oppose each other, they're on this axis. Um, look into your chart to see which house this axis is on. And Libra is a masculine cardinal air sign ruled by Venus. So the differences between Libra and Aries is the element and the planet ruler. Some different some differences there is Mar, not Mars, Aries is motivated a lot by what they're passionate about, things that they want to create, and then Libra is more what do they want to do with this information, who do they want to connect with, who do they want to relate to, um, and more Venusian type themes. This is like a natural houses thing, but a lot of people would say too that Aries is the I am and Libra is the you. Uh Libra is the other person, Aries is me, that kind of thing.

Um, and then also I want to talk about the differences between Aries and Scorpio, which are both of our signs that are ruled by Mars.

And when I think of like when I think of creation, I think of like the sex energy, and I think of like Which is very Libra.

And I don't think I look to signs the way that maybe maybe it's more modern astrologers or just maybe just astrologers in general. Like I don't I wouldn't look to a sign to see what you should create. Uh, which is that's not necessarily what you were saying, but I'm just thinking about it. Like, I j I guess I'm just thinking like it's never been a keyword that I associate with Aries.

Aries is like too far on one side, and Libra's too far on the other side, and you want to get in the middle of that.

Venus is in detriment here because it's the opposite sign of Libra, where Venus has her temple, and Aries is also the fall of Saturn.

So Saturn don't like that, Venus don't like that because Venus is like, I want to connect with everyone, and Mars, and then Aries is like, I want to connect to self. And then Exalted Sun. So the next thing I want to talk about is the difference between Aries and Scorpio, uh, which are both of our signs ruled by Mars. So Aries is again a masculine cardinal fire sign, Scorpio is a feminine fixed water sign ruled by Mars. They're both ruled by Mars. So Aries is the more extroverted and external expression of Mars, while Scorpio is the internal feminine expression of Mars. Um Aries is about new growth, Aries pushes things outwards, um, and Scorpio tends to like pull things inwards and like attracts things the way that Aries expels it. Um, and this is a quote from Robert Zoller, who is famous for being part of Project Hindsight. Um, and he said, Ares is a machine gun that quickly shoots a lot of bullets, while Scorpio is like a sniper rifle, which is more calculated and shoots one at a time, shoots at the target, and that's it. And then I also would say, too, Scorpio is the one that holds a grudge. Like Scorpio is known for holding a grudge for an entire lifetime. Scorpio is the one that will seek you out for that revenge, while Aries, again, is either gonna punch you in the moment or Aries will just get over it.

Aries Magic And The Emperor Tarot

Yes. So um we're doing this a little bit differently than the planetary correspondences, and I think that's because pretty much like you can look up correspondences on Google anytime. Um, you can also, I also believe with correspondences it is a very intuitive thing. So um for magic associated with Aries, when you want to channel that bravery and courage or need some work uh to work with the self or even I really like that connect to the self. I think that is something that we really struggle to do in my work in Ember Fay Magic. That is like such a huge part of my work. So maybe I do need to channel a little bit of Aries energy. So to connect with it, I recommend very obviously any sort of fire or candle magic. And I think that you want to kind of what Jordan was saying about keeping it short, like using um some sort of really quick burning candle. There's like beeswax candles you can buy that burn in less than 20 minutes. They're really great, but you want to keep it short, it's that spark of energy you might need. You could also use birthday candles. Um, it's also I think a really great way to connect with Aries by doing any sort of movement. So let's say for me, that would totally be dance um to like create that fire. Uh again, I would probably focus on like more like quick movement. I don't know why I started doing the robot, but like quick movements uh for connecting with Aries, fire dancing, dancing around a bonfire to connect with like some energy trance work and whatnot. And then the other thing I wanted to talk about were the tools associated with the different elements. This is more of like an elements conversation, but we can bring them up for each of the signs. But as a fire sign, traditionally in witchcraft, you think of either the wand or the sword, depending on your tradition. Um, and the way I've seen that in the past is that the sword. So in my brain, the sword I've always associated with air, but there are some traditions that associate swords and like the atheme with fire, and it's because you have to forge them in fire, right? And then the wands, traditional tarot, I've always thought were associated with fire, and I think it's like you the wand focuses power, the fire, but a lot of people and traditions do associate the wand more with air, so depending on what you think, wand or sword, depending on your tradition. I think a sword, a very uh on the nose archetype for Aries. Um lanterns, candles, all can be used to work with Aries. Anything to add to that, Jordan?

You know, I think the whole wand and sword thing is so interesting. Like, I I know, like I'm used to now the wands being uh fire because that's just that's what tarot uses, but I I've never understood why. I'm I like wand feels so airy to me, and sword feels fiery, but I do go with wand is fire.

The emperor is the father figure, represents ambition and power and leadership and focus. Um, but I think in its reverse, right? It's very much like an out-of-control Aries. I think the Emperor can be like a very balanced Aries. But when you have a little bit more of an unbalanced or out-of-control Aries, it's gonna represent a tyrant or some domineering energy, somebody who's stubborn and reckless, which Aries can definitely display.

And the last one, you just got a new job. What does Aries do when they first get a new job? How do they take on this new job?

I was saying, I was like, they don't do anything, they just do they just go to work.

Yes, I got this job, and they walk my day, they're like, hey Steven, like nice to meet you.

What up, Sally? Like, they just go for it, and they are and everybody I think would love them. I think they'd walk in and people they would just be friendly on that first day and just like show up and people would be like, cool.

You know, it's interesting. In my where I work at the in a university library, um, it's a lot of introverted people, and there's a few of us who are extroverted or at least extroverted leaning, and there's kind of a joke of like, because it like to it's the leadership that has to be like really extroverted because they have to they kind of have to um parade us to the people kind of thing.

Parade us to the people. Yeah, they've got to be like all introverts parade.

Like they've they've gotta get donors and they've gotta get people interested, and they have to like they have to go up and talk to people and initiate conversation. Um, and a lot, you know, a lot of introverts are afraid of that kind of thing. Uh so we have like a few people in the library who are on that extra extroverted side. Um, and that I guess kind of sounds Aries-ish.

So, Ember, now that we're at the end of the episode, how are you feeling about Aries now?

I think that there is a lot we can love about Aries. I definitely think it's easy to kind of just go down the route of, oh, Aries, they're like all about themselves, um, just because it's like the easy go-to kind of answer. But they're so much deeper than that. And I think that that deeper protection archetype is really important and doesn't get enough credit.

I also admire someone who's all about themselves. I love being all about me. So I'm not upset, I don't see that as a con. Like, yes, of course, again, with that axis, like you want to find the balance between Aries and Libra. But as much as I love that Libra cares about other people, I love that Aries cares about themselves.

I respect that. I respect that a lot. And I think it's so important to have a connection with ourselves. It is literally, I think that's like literally why the first house is so freaking important. It's why it like creates the rest of the chart, you know what I mean? If we we need that first key to ourselves um to really like understand everything else, to be honest. I I think it's really hard to understand your relationship with others, your relationship, how you show up in the world if you don't even understand yourself.

Yeah. And I don't see Aries as the first house, but I do natural houses. Well, how would you say that in my chart? So my my Aries is sixth house. How would you wait?

We've done this before.

We did it with something else, and now I want you to do with Aries. How would you delineate that I have Aries in Sixth House?

I guess how I use natural houses, which I don't I don't do a lot of readings and stuff. I just know like what the houses represent, right?

Like, so I think it's just that your sixth house, so Aries is in your sixth house, it means that your I think so one way people might delineate this is by saying that like my identity might be wrapped up a lot in my health and my work or accidents, um that kind of thing. And that and then also Wait, really? Yeah.

And that doesn't that doesn't make sense to you?

Not as like this is my identity. I think okay, I know you're thinking about like the accident, but the I I connect that with my Mars.

Well, why can't it also be your sixth house?

I think it's also like I like health is not like a big part of my identity. Um my work is not a big part of my identity. Like pets are also in this house.

All of these things you're saying are things that I think of when I think of Jordan.

I think of that you care a lot about your health. You are like Very strict about your bedtime. You care. For real, you care, you set good boundaries. It's not a bad thing. You set good boundaries around your wellness. A hundred percent. You love your pets.

I I understand what you're saying now, and I think if I think on it more, I definitely could see it making sense.
