Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = GOD
Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = GOD
Produced by GOD. Hosted by me, Braisha Owens Mount.
I'm a luxury denim designer, fashion stylist, muva to a tiny CEO, wife to a KING, and a walking prayer—literally. And this podcast? It’s my open diary, bible study group, and group chat all wrapped into one.
I created this space because people kept asking me, “How are you doing it all?”
And truthfully? I’m not. GOD is.
I’m just showing up—being obedient—and sharing the journey.
Within one year, I became a mom and planned my dream wedding. That’s a lot of shifting in a short amount of time. I didn’t have time to lose myself, but I also didn’t know exactly who I was becoming. What I learned is this: You can carry every title—wife, mom, designer—and still hold on to YOU.
Here on Ask Me, we talk grace, grit, garments, and GOD.
We unpack entrepreneurship, motherhood, marriage, fashion wellness, faith, and identity—not from a perfect place but a real one. I don’t have all the answers, nor will I ever. I’m not the blueprint. But I am a living testimony of what it means to evolve into a greater you and still protect your peace.
If you’re in a season of transition and wondering where YOU went, you’re not alone. Your purpose didn’t disappear. It’s just shifting. And you’re growing into it.
So yeah—don’t ask me how I’m doing it…
Ask GOD.

This is a podcast for women who want to get dressed—and live—from a place of wholeness, self-love, and stewardship of their God-given gifts.
Welcome to Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = God. I’m Braisha Owens Mount—luxury denim designer, stylist, fashion executive, wife, and mama. A woman who believes getting dressed is never just about clothes. It’s about identity.
This podcast isn’t about having it all—it’s about honoring who you are right now, while becoming the woman God is shaping you to be. Here, style starts on the inside. We talk faith, motherhood, marriage, creativity, ambition, and showing up fully—without guilt, masks, or performance.
No fluff. No filters. Just real conversations about grace, grit, garments, and God.
Because calling and chaos can absolutely coexist.
✨ This episode is for the moms.
The ones living real life.
Getting dressed while nursing. One hand holding a baby, the other trying to put on mascara. Your husband takes the baby so you can finish getting ready—and the moment he cries, you stop, pick him back up, and start again.
In this episode, Braisha opens up about what style looks like in the season of toddler motherhood—when your body has changed, your schedule is unpredictable, and the version of you from before motherhood doesn’t quite fit anymore.
We talk about redefining personal style after becoming a mom, honoring the body that carried life, and learning how to show up confidently in the clothes that support your real life.
Because style doesn’t disappear when you become a mother—it evolves.
🎙️ In this episode, we talk about:
• Why obedience doesn’t always feel good before it feels fruitful
• Letting go of the version of yourself that no longer fits
• Dressing for the life you actually live now
• Finding confidence in comfort and functionality
• The power of structured yet relaxed fashion in motherhood
• Sets, oversized silhouettes, and accessories that keep style effortless
• Stepping into the identity of a fashion executive while navigating motherhood
This season of style is about comfort, confidence, and identity

So let's start with something tangible. Think of an elevated set. Something elevated, right? Not because it's trendy, but because it's easy. And it holds you like right. This is what I wear when I'm getting dressed while holding my towel. Okay, listen, when mornings are slow, when my body feels bloated, and life no longer feels normal. This set stretches with me. It forgives me. It gives structure without suffocating me. And honestly, that's exactly what the season of motherhood is asking for. No restrictions, not performance, but support, real support, Lord Jesus. Because season two is about becoming and remember, and becoming doesn't happen quietly. It stretches you, interrupts you. Sometimes it feels uncomfortable before it feels aligned. So before we talk about clothes and confidence or calling, let's pause and take a breath. How are you feeling today? Check in with yourself. If you're feeling tired or unsure, or somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming, you're not behind. You're right on time. Listen. This podcast is for women who want to get dressed and live from a place of wholeness, self-love, and stewardship of their God-giving gifts. Wife, welcome to Axe Me Wife, Mom Designer equals God. Listen, I'm Brace Owens Mel, luxury denim designer, stylist, and world of arts, fashion executive wife, a mama, and a woman who believes in getting dressed. It's never just about clothes, but it's about identity. You feel me? This is about having, this isn't about having it all. It's about honoring who you are now while becoming who God is shaking you to be. Here is where style starts on the inside. Just so you know, if you haven't noticed, this episode is about moms. As I am literally sitting here holding my baby, nursing my baby as he is asleep. I had to get this podcast episode done. I said, he's asleep. I put him down. He may wake up because I took him out of the car. So you know what? I said, we're just about to make this thing happen and happen well. So if y'all ain't noticed, this is about the mom. So style as a mom for a toddler. Listen, this is for the moms living real life. This is getting dressed and nursing. On one hand, you're having a baby, other hand, you're trying to put on mascara in the mirror. It's your husband taking him so you can finish, getting ready, and then the moment he cries, you stop to pick him back up and start all over again. This episode is about what it looks like to show up in your clothes now. How we were redefined style in motherhood, how we stay true to ourselves while navigating a body, a schedule, or a simulation of a schedule and a life that is has been shifted. Listen, and I want you to know what it looks like for you because this is what it looked like for me. Because style doesn't disappear when you become a mom, it evolves. And this is what's this is that space for that conversation. As I literally have on my oversized blanket scarf with my baby, and it's tan it's a vibe. Like literally, your style evolves when you become a mom. And I'm showing you right now. So let's reflect a little bit. There's a lesson I've learned over this past year again and again. Obedience doesn't always feel good before it feels fruitful. Listen, motherhood has reshaped everything. My body, my energy, my confidence, my capacity. The way I move through day and night is now different. The way I see myself is different. Even the mirror feels different some days, right? I try to dress like the version of me that had uninterrupted mornings, spontaneous plans, unlimited bandwidth, but that version of me does not exist anymore. Like it does not. I just let it go. Let me tell you, when I moved, I threw away three trash bags full of shoes. And then forcing myself into her clothes felt like resistance, not aspiration. This season asked me to listen instead of perform, to honor what my body has carried. Literally, stop shrinking my needs because they felt extra. This episode is about what I wear, why I wear, and how I balance comfort, confidence, identity in this season of motherhood. As a new mom, a first-time mom, in this season, I wear pieces that are flattering for my body. That's non-negotiable. But but first, they're still me at my core, elevated, intentional, always a little high fashion. You feel right now. So it's a lot. Let me explain it. I love a good shoulder pad, right? That's my vibe. I'm I'm making a lot of my own pieces, hoodies, crew next, things of that nature, right? With shoulder pads built in it, right? But structure does something for me, right? Um, with the relaxed oversized vibe, it makes me feel powerful, grounded, but together. I love a good structured blazer and eventually I'm manifesting, you know, the ultimate denim jack or shoulder pads that, you know, that's the goal, right? This season, where I see myself is not just a designer or stylist, but a fashion executive. That's the role that I'm stepping into. This podcast, this brand, this vision, it's all connected. So what I wear reflects that elevation. You feel me? I love a good set. Sets are everything right now, right? I don't even have one on right now, but I love a good accessory, like a good, a good throw-in accessory too, and a good throw-in piece, right? Throw-ons are elite when you're a mom. Hey, you can put on a set, and you can add on some cute heels, accessories, and I'm out the door. You feel me? No overthinking, no cash, just already styled. You feel me? Accessories are still my thing too. Like, I love a good accessory, as you see. A good blanket scarf does the trick, you feel me? And I'm always into the tans, right? Um, tans vibes, because everything is tanned on what I'm wearing. You feel me? That never left the accessories, right? At your core, you have to remember who you are, not who you were before motherhood, but be but who you are now at your core. I've always been an accessory girl, and that part of me carries on as mine. Give me a clean set, accessory hues, natural glam. Okay, and I'm strict, that's it. But why do I wear it? I wear these pieces because they work with my life. Like, if y'all don't understand, I am embracing this. This is the little profile, the literal personification of these pieces work for my life, okay. A lot of times I don't have time to figure out an outfit. There's too much going on. Nursing, getting dressed, managing the house, creating content, real life. You feel me? So I need clothes that are already going to work for me. You feel me? Sets are easy, accessible, ready. You feel me? I enjoy uh something that I can just pull and go, right? I am still nursing, as you can see. So I need tops that are functional, something my baby can grab, something that I can adjust quickly. So I need something, I need clothes that are easy to clean because let's be real, my am I baby's personal napkin. I am. If he wipes his hand on me, it can't be the end of the world. And I still wear my tan, but he wipes, I wipes his hand all the time. Okay, amen. Listen, that's the mindset in this season. Oversized is my vibe right now. And listen, I used to fight it. I really did. I wasn't sure about the oversized jeans and pants, right? But when I tell you the sweatsuits are giving me life, I am mad I ever resisted this. Literally. Oversized on my body just works. The days I'm bloated for sure. It looks high fashion, you know, it looks intentional. It looks like yo, you did this on purpose. You feel me? And yes, you can be a 3X and absolutely eat in an oversized vibe. You feel me? Eat. Four plus four equals eight. Okay, it's all about the proportions, y'all. All about proportions and styling with confidence. And if you need help, of course, you don't hit me up. You know, I got you, right? Please, but let's talk about the comfort, confidence, and identity. Comfort is such a huge thing for me right now. And an oversized gives me that comfort that I need without sacrificing my style. That structured shoulders, too. It gives me that executive level vibe as well. But comfort alone isn't enough. I need confidence, y'all. I need confidence that comes from alignment and that stuff that you put on before we put clothes on. My confidence is rooted in my identity. It's my core. It's I'm successful, I'm creative, I'm decisive, I'm a leader. That's why I love a monochromatic look right now. Neutral, the tans, all black, different textures, clean, strong, intentional. Sometimes a pop of color. You see that? You see that yellow right there, that neon? That's real. That's that pop. You feel me? But it's always controlled. This is a space where I'm in as a mom, as a boss, as a fashion executive. You feel me? When I put on these pieces, I'm not just getting dressed, I'm stepping into the role I'm claiming in the name of Jesus, right? I feel confident in my position, in my voice, and where I'm headed to. I'm no longer dressing for who I was as a designer or a stylist. I'm dressing for who I am now. The fashion executive. That's the balance. Comfort that supports my life. And my life is real. Confidence that reflects my authority, identity that stays rooted, even as everything evolves. That's what I wear. That's why I wear it. And that's how I show up in this season. A season two. Now, if this hit home for you, I know this is a very short episode. I just wanted to type in real quick when it came to like the clothes and what I am wearing as a mom right now, as a new mom right now. Um, literally, as I'm nursing my two-year-old while he's sleeping, hopefully I can do another episode and I could put him down. But I don't know. Listen. As well as check out our March edit. We have a good sale going on right now with Kiss by Bo. You gotta head on over there, check it out. We had Northside Market as well. And before we wrap up, I want to leave you with this. Your style doesn't disappear when your life changes, it evolves with you. And listen, I'm telling you, I'm over here evolving, okay? What you're wearing this season isn't about going back, it's about showing up, honoring who you are now, dressing for the role you're stepping into, not the one you're outgrown. Whether you're getting dressed with a baby on your hip, literally, or in front of the mirror that feels unfamiliar, remember this. You're still allowed to feel confident, you're still allowed to feel powerful, you're still allowed to take up space. So tell me, tell me, what are you wearing in this season? What does your core look like right now? If this conversation resonated with you, if you're navigating motherhood, marriage, leadership, and still trying to remember who you are, I've created space just for that. It's inside my school community. We focus on fashion wellness, learning how to get dressed and show up from a place of self-love, purpose, and faith. It's a place for women to believe in God. It's the sustainer of all, even in the everyday moments. You feel me? So if you're craving that community, that clarity, and that alignment, I love to invite you on over. Welcome you over here. You feel me? You can find a link in my show notes. Alright, I think that's it. Again, if it resonated with you, please share this with somebody, a mom, who needs a reminder. Okay, listen, until next time, get dressed with intention, move through with confidence, and don't forget who you are. You are becoming or you remembering. Don't ask me how I'm doing all this. Ask God.
