Hey, welcome to Faith for Your Family. I am Pastor Phillip Steele, and we're going to get into some good things from the Word of God today, believing for our loved ones, our children, our brothers, our sisters, those in our family. If you were with us on the last uh episode, we dealt with calling things that be not as though they were for your family and for your children. We're going to dive back into some of that today. Our product offer on this episode is my book, Every Day is a Faith Day. And that title, that book, came out of a time in my life when I was believing God for some things. And I was looking over Mark 11, 22 through 24 one day. And Mark 11, 22 says that have the faith of God in the King James Version of the Amplified Bible, I believe, says have the faith of God continually. And the Holy Spirit spoke to me at that moment and said, Every day is a faith day. And so, meaning that I can take my faith every day and use it, apply it to the circumstances in my life. And not only can I do that, according to the Word of God, I'm expected to do that because the Bible says we walk by faith. It says we live by faith three times, four times in the Bible, three times in the New Testament. It says that we are to live by faith. And so that is available to you for purchase at lifeoffaith.net. We'd love for you to get a copy. I believe that it would be a great help and a great benefit and a blessing to you. Now we spoke last episode about calling things that be not where your children are concerned, where your family members are concerned. And we dealt with uh the issue that children being out from under the kingdom of God and away from God is found under the curse in the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 28, and uh verse 32, it's it states that. And then uh we dealt with the fact that because it's under the curse, and then Galatians 3.13 says that we are redeemed from the curse of the law by the sacrifice of Christ, that because of that I have the right to call things that be not as though they were. The essence of faith is this faith does not deny, faith calls for what it desires. Faith calls for the desired result. And so the desired result in our life is that our children be saved, that our loved ones be saved. And so it stands to reason then, because of the inner workings of faith, that in order for the faith of God to operate in that situation the way that it should, I have to call things that be not as though they were. I made this statement last time and I want to make it before we go any further. When you call things that be not as though they were, you enforce the power of the promises of God in your child's life. When you call things that are the way they are, you enforce the power of the enemy and the power of the curse in that child's life. Amen. And so when you see your child, maybe they're not living for God, they're not doing what they should be doing, and you open up your mouth and I say, Father, I thank you that you are contending with those that contend with me and you're saving my children. I thank you that all of my children are taught of the Lord, and great is the peace of my children. At that moment, the power of the blessing, the power of the promise of God begins to go into operation and produce and effect a change in your life. If you call things that are the way they are, there's no change that's affected. Amen. If you look at a problem, a math problem that you've written out on a page and it's wrong, and you continue to focus on the wrong way it was done, you're not gonna change anything. What you have to do is get a fresh sheet of paper, write the numbers down brand new, and recalculate, refigure. Do you see? So if calling those things that are as though they are is what a person has been doing, we got to do something today. We got to rip that sheet out of the notebook, start with a whole fresh sheet of calling things that be not as though they were. It's exciting. It excites me because every time you load your spirit up with the word of God and you begin to call things that be not as though they were. The book of Jeremiah says that the word of God goes forth and he said, Is not my word like a fire and like a hammer? The word of God goes into that situation and begins to batter and begins to break and begins to remove and begins to shape that life into a life that God desires for it to be, because you're now calling things that be not as though they were. And you're putting yourself in a position and putting the word of God into a position to influence the decisions that that child or that loved one is making. Amen. Now there are, well, I want to deal with a lot of verses today. So I'm gonna read you a lot of verses. We're gonna put them in our mouth, and we're gonna call those things that be not as though they were. Years ago, I compiled this list of verses that I go over where my family is concerned. And I'm not giving them to you as a formula, but I am giving them to you as, if we could say it this way, a starter pack. All right, a starter pack. And then you can take those and you can follow the references in your Bible and develop, right, your own system of calling those things that be not as though they were. Hallelujah. The first verse that the word of God, that that I found in the Word of God was Psalm 37, 26, part B. All right, and it's talking about the blessed man, and it says, and his seed is blessed. So when you talk about your seed, which is your sons, your daughters, when you talk about them, your words over them is they are blessed. Even if they're not doing right, you're speaking blessings over them. They might be doing things that are opening them up to the curse, but you're calling them blessed, because we're calling the end from the beginning. We're calling those things that be not as though they were. No, they will be mighty upon the earth. The generation of the upright shall be blessed. Hallelujah. Psalm 128, verse 3 and 4 says, Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house. Here it is, your children like olive plants all around your table. Olive plants, hardy, strong, strength. It says, This is how the man will be blessed that fears the Lord. What does that mean? I'll look around my table and I'll see all of my children. You may be in a situation where you have one or more children that don't even want to have anything to do with you, but you fill your heart with this scripture and you begin to speak it. And every time you look at your table, you say, I thank God that my children will be seated around this table. I thank God that they'll be in my home. I thank God that we'll celebrate Christmases together. I thank God that we'll celebrate birthdays together. Don't allow the devil to fill your mouth with what you're seeing. Take the word of God and call things that be not and change what you're seeing. Hallelujah. Glory to God. What does that mean? Free me. My children are going to be freed from saying wrong, evil, false things. My children are going to speak right words. My children are going to do the right thing in the name of Jesus. That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth, and our daughters may be as cornerstones polished after the similitude of a palace. Meaning, my sons will grow up, they will be vibrant, they will be strong, my daughters will be beautiful, my daughters will be like pieces of ivory polished for a palace. He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your border and fills you with the finest of wheat. So my children are what? Blessed. My children are blessed. Your children are blessed. Psalm, or excuse me, Proverbs 3, 3, 333, part B. The Lord blesses the habitation of the just. And that means that those in my family are blessed because the Lord blesses the habitation of the just. See, no more of this. I don't know what I'm gonna do. I don't know. They they're just not, they're not living for God. They're not doing the right thing. No, no, no, no, no. The Lord blesses the habitation of the just. Proverbs 11, 21 says, though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished, but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. So notice what it says. The wicked will not go unpunished, but the seed, my seed, the seed of Philip and Michelle steel will be delivered. It doesn't matter what they may be doing, it doesn't matter what they may be dealing with, my seed is delivered by the power of God. Proverbs 14, 26 says, in the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and his children have a place of refuge. So as I walk in the fear of God, as I walk in the fear of the things of God, my children have a place of refuge. Every time I do what God tells me to do, I am producing victory in the life of my child. Every time I call those things that be not as though they were, I'm producing victory in the life of my child. Hallelujah. It's a good day. It's a happy day. Our children are coming to the Lord. Our children are turning to the things of God. Our children's eyes are being opened. Their ears are being opened. Victory is coming into their life. And you may say, Pastor, I love that and I would love to see that happen, but I just don't see it. Call it until you see it. Call it until you see it. Don't wait to see it to call it. Call it until you see it. I had a person come to me one time and they made this statement. They said, I've been saying the word and nothing's changing. What do I do? I said, say it again. Say it again. Why? Because Jesus said, when you say it and you believe it, that the mountain that you're speaking to is going to move. Isaiah 44, verses 3 through 5. This is one of my favorite verses. I will pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods on the dry ground. I will pour my spirit on your seed. Hallelujah. And my blessing upon your offspring. So you fill your mouth with that. Your spirit, Father, is upon my sons and my daughters. And your blessing is upon my sons and my daughters. And notice what it says they, my sons and daughters, will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses. One shall say, I'm the Lord's, and another will call himself by the name of Jacob, and write with his hand to the Lord, and surname himself by the name of the Lord. So my children are calling themselves by the name of the Lord. My children are calling themselves what God says about them. That's what you want to keep in your mouth. Hallelujah. Isaiah 59 and 21 says, As for me, says the Lord, this is my covenant with them. Glory to God. Now we're into covenant. Now we're into God's blood sworn oath. This is my covenant. My spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart out of your mouth. Boy, that's shouting ground right there. And people will say, oh, glory to God. That's right. But wait. Nor out of the mouth of your seed, or out of the mouth of your seed seed, from this time and forevermore, says the Lord. So the word of God that I'm speaking, it's not only going to not depart out of my mouth, it's not going to part out of my children's mouth or out of my grandchildren's mouth. What does that mean? We're going to have generations, my brother or sister, speaking, declaring, maybe even preaching and teaching the word of God. That's what you want to put in your mouth and declare over the situation. Stop declaring, my children aren't serving God. Start declaring the word of God in my mouth is in the mouth of my child, and they will declare the things of God. They will declare the works of God in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Isaiah 65, 23 says, This is how I read it. Philip and Michelle will not labor in vain or bring forth children for trouble, for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord and their offspring with them. So quit talking about how much trouble your child is. You did not bring forth children for trouble. You brought forth children for good days, for good things. Yeah, but you know, they're this and they're that. Well, listen, I understand that, and that might be happening, and we can't deny that it's happening, but we got to fill our mouth with the word of God and call those things that be not as though they were. It says, their children shall also be as before, and their congregation shall be established before me. Glory to God, glory to God. Our children will be established before God. They will be solid, they will be founded in the things of God. Jeremiah 31, verse 16 through 17. It says, Thus says the Lord, refrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears for your work. And I wrote here, My children are my work, your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord. And they, your children, will come again from the hand of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the Lord, that your children will come again to their own border. Glory to God, glory to God. See, quit talking about how far away from God they are. Quit talking about how far away from the kingdom they are. No, no, no, no, no. My children are coming again to their own border. My children are coming home. My children are coming to the things of God. And notice refrain your voice from weeping. Refrain your voice from weeping. Why? There's no weeping in joy. There's no weeping in joy. Right? If we know that our children are coming back, why are we weeping? It's a time to rejoice. I remember one time I was sitting out on our deck and I was praying. And I was praying about one of our children. And I was, oh, I was praying, and I was in earnest, I was praying. And as I was praying, it was it was it was one of those things that I was praying so hard that had you been out there, you could tell I was praying hard. And I'll tell you why after I tell you what the Lord said to me. And the Lord said to me, He said, Philip. And I said, Yes, he said, Your faith is all your face is all scrunched up. And I stopped. And I thought, what does my face being scrunched up have to do with this? And he said, if you are believing me that this child is saved, there'll be joy and rejoicing in your believing. Not that sad, scrunched up face. Hallelujah. There's joy and rejoicing, not weeping. He said, refrain your voice from weeping. So what does that mean? I don't go around saying, I just don't know what I'm gonna do. I don't want my children to go to hell. I don't want them to miss God. I don't want them to this. No, that's that's weeping. Refrain your voice from weeping. What's gonna happen? My children will come again to their own border. Jeremiah 46 and 27. Again, one of my favorite verses. Do not fear, my servant Jacob. Now, this is how I read it. Do not fear my servant Michelle, and do not be dismayed, O Philip, for behold, I will save you from afar and your seed from the land of their captivity. Jacob, and this is how I say it, my children shall return, be in rest, and be at ease, and no one shall make them afraid. So Philip and Michelle are not afraid or dismayed, because right now, presently, what's happening? God's saving our children from afar. Right now, he's saving them and doing what? Bringing them out of their captivity. Well, you don't understand. My child isn't thinking right, and they're in the false religion, and they're addicted to drugs, and they're addicted to alcohol, and they're addicted to this. Wait a minute. He'll bring them from the land of their captivity. It doesn't mean what doesn't matter what it is. He'll bring them from the land of their captivity. Zechariah 9 11 says, As for you, by the blood of your covenant, I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit where there is no water, because of the covenant that I have for with God. God, my children are delivered out of the pit. My children are delivered out of bondage. Can't you just sense it in your spirit? Can't you just sense the goodness of God? Can't you just begin right now to prepare for a celebration when that child calls you and says, I found God? When that child calls you and says, Please forgive me. Amen. Now let me finish here. Here's our confession over our children. God's mercy hovers over my children. The covenant I have with God in the blood of Jesus extends to my children and my grandchildren, covering them completely. Everything God gives me, He'll give to my children, including peace and protection. I lay hold of God's plans and promises for my children by faith, and I call those things of change to come to pass in their life. I believe God for my children's deliverance and salvation. I put all of my trust in the Lord concerning my children and my grandchildren, and I am filled with joy. Thank you, Lord, because I know they are turning to the Lord. No matter how far away my children seem to be, there is no place where God can't reach them. I'm not moved by what I see, but what the word says. I believe that Christ will capture their heart and they will follow and obey Him. End of discussion. And that's what you put in your mouth concerning your children. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. God is so good to us. Father, I just pray for my brother or sister. Lord, that may be standing for their children, may be standing for other loved ones. I just pray for them. I strengthen them in the name of Jesus. I come alongside them right now, Father, and I lift up their arms. Your word says to lift up the arms that hang down and strengthen the feeble legs, Father. I just come and lift them up and strengthen them in the name of Jesus. And I ask you to be a shield about them. And I ask you to be their strength. And I ask you to be their victory in this situation. And I come into agreement with them that their children, their sons, their daughters will come from the land of their captivity and be brought into the things of God and see God do what He promised in their life in the name of Jesus.
