Welcome back to Outside the Script, a podcast where we question the default path, explore what it really looks like to create a life of family, freedom, and intention. I'm your host, Amanda Kukuru, and this is where I'm sharing what I'm learning, building, and figuring out in real time. And today we're talking about something that I think is changing everything. So everyone talks about making more money, but what about if the real goal is buying back time? Because lately I realized something. Freedom isn't just about income, it's about actually how we spend our time. And for me, one of the biggest tools helping me shift that right now is AI. And when I hear people say they're against AI, I think that it is a huge mistake. And I don't mean that harshly, I mean that truthfully. AI is here, AI is not going anywhere, and it is the way of the future. It is going to be integrated into every single part of our lives, whether we like it or not. So the question isn't, do I like AI? The question is, how do we take advantage of this moment? Because yes, there are many unknowns, there are many risks, but completely opting out, that's almost like choosing to fall behind on purpose. And I think that people are misunderstanding something really important. Using AI does not mean we lose our humanness or your humanness, your autonomy, or your voice. It doesn't mean we stop thinking for ourselves. It means learning how to use a tool that actually supports your life. It's that simple. Wow. Amazing. And I think a lot of people are resisting it because they're scared of the unknown, they're scared of change, they're scared of losing control, they're scared of I think people, I don't know. I think people are scared of a lot of things. And I think rightfully so in a lot of realms, because none of us really know what the future is going to look like with AI being weaved into every single fabric of our existence in a lot of ways. But we've seen this before, guys. When the computers came out, people were really scared. When the internet came out, people were really scared. And the people who leaned in early, they were the ones who benefited the most. And I don't think people realize how fast this is moving right now. This is not slow. This is happening every single day. There's updates every single day. And I think most people have no idea, though, the mass of opportunity that is at play. And so for me, like it started clicking when I was in college last year for graphic design. I started realizing the way that they are teaching graphic design is a very outdated way and does not, I believe, does not prep you for prep you for the real world right now, prep you for the workplace right now. Um, and is not giving you the proper. I think it gives you a a solid foundation, but it's not giving you the skill set that you need to survive out there. And so I started seeing what AI could do. And then I had this moment, this has changed everything. And for me, I in a lot of ways, I don't even know if it's about a degree anymore, in a lot of ways. It's more about the skill set that you possess. It's about if you can show up and you can 10x, 20x, 30x, and be more efficient than somebody else that holds that degree, you're gonna get hired. And I started realizing that there's something that I actually need to start learning. And before I started using AI more, I thought it I felt very overwhelmed. I felt stuck. I had a lot on my plate, and a lot of things took forever. And I don't feel replaced by AI by any stretch of the imagination. I feel supported by it and I use it as a creative thinking partner. I don't sound, I don't sit around stuck anymore. I move and I'm able to move more efficiently with my ideas. And like I've said, I'm a visionary and I always have these ideas or I'm always like processing something. And like I've said before too, I'm like, I'm a person that's more in my head. I would say I'm very, I'm a very heady person in a lot of ways. And being able just to flesh that out with AI and be like, okay, I have this idea, I have this idea, I have this idea, and then how can I strategically do this and that? That would take me a long time. AI can help me sort that out in like seconds and come up with ideas that I would have never thought of. So it's really interesting. And for me, buying back time is gold. It's everything. There's only 24 hours in a day. And as a mom, we have so much on our plates. So if there's anything in my life where I can save time, be more efficient, and make things easier, that is a huge win. And I'm pretty sure that you would agree as well. Because it's not just about productivity, it's about having more time in our lives. And I think the biggest way that AI is changing our my life in a lot of ways is clarity and time. Because most people aren't stuck either, I'll say, because they're lazy. They're stuck because they're overwhelmed. They don't know what to do next, and everything feels like it takes forever. And what AI does is helps you think, it helps you get organized, it helps you map out your thoughts, helps you get clear, helps you move faster. And then on top of that, you're saving time. Things that used to take hours can take minutes. And then when you start stacking that every single day, that's where your life actually starts to change. You have more time, you have more clarity, you have more energy, and that's where freedom actually begins. So think about it. If you could save one to two hours a day, that buys back time with your kids, that buys back time to build something, that buys back time to breathe. And that's not small, that's your life, right? So let me, I'm gonna talk about like 10 real ways that you can just start simply using AI in your life every day. Yeah, just like simple, tangible ways that you can just use this, open up Chat GPT, download the app. So meal planning alone can just save so much time. Meal planning used to take me a long time. Like I'd fumble through recipe books, get some inspiration, maybe how about Instagram, Pinterest, Food Network, I'd watch cooking shows through the week and just get really inspired. But now you can literally say to AIs, here's what's in my fridge. I need meals under 30 minutes. My kids are picky and I have a budget. And it will create a full weekly meal plan, recipes, and a grocery list instead of taking an hour. That's gonna be done in minutes. Now that's some shit, guys. That's huge, and that was a huge win for me. So grocery lists. So you can take your meal plan that it just turned and then have AI turn that into a category, categorized grocery list. And you can ask, how can I make this cheaper? And what store should I shop at? It removes the constant mental load. Huge. That was that's huge to me. And I'm sure if you have not used that or thought of to use AI in that way, that will be hugely beneficial, even if you just used AI for that one thing. Budget and finances, you can put in your numbers and say, here, help me organize this. And it will break down your spending, it will help you save, it will give you a plan, and it makes something feeling feel something that can feel very overwhelming for many become very clear. And it can help you just map out that plan to financial freedom. Weekly scheduling. You can say, Here's my life. Build me a schedule. It will map your week, it will map your routines, it will map your flow. You do not need to hold everything in your head. Kids' activities, I love this one. You can say, give me activities for my kids to do today. You can do, you can put in rainy ideas, crafts, routines, all of it's done for you. It takes off this pressure of constantly needing to figure it out. My my seven-year-old loves the color. So now we can put into chat, or we do put into chat custom coloring pages. And she loves that. It will have her name on it. And whenever she feels like she wants to color, we can just pop it into chat and chat will generate the image for her. Business ideas, you can brainstorm, validate ideas, step-by-step directions. There's no more like sitting there, I'm stuck, not knowing where to start. You can flush it out with AI and it can help give you a tangible step-by-step on what you need to do and to help you keep, to help keep you organized on what the next steps are. And if you have many ideas, it can be like prioritize this idea, prioritize that idea, and it's really helpful. Content creation, if you know you're trying to start a business or trying to grow on any social media, you can take one, it can help you take one piece of content and turn it into multiple pieces of content, like blog posts, captions, emails, and that right there would that saves hours. I have not tried it for that necessarily yet in the realm of what I can see that it can do now, but I can report back when I do or if I do. Decision making, you can talk things out instead of overthinking. And so another great feature on ChatGPT is there's a little microphone. So instead of typing everything, just speak it. Speak out your ideas to chat, and you can go back and forth with it instead of typing it, and that's much more efficient as well. And a lot of people are better at speaking than writing. So then you can just articulate what you know what's going through your mind. Learn in faster. This is a great one. You can break down anything simply and quickly. And another little tip: if you're trying to learn something, you tell the AI say, break this down as of as break this down like I am a fourth grader. So you can understand it on a much easier level. Or however you would want it to be broken down, specify that. So a big thing too about AI is your input, be really clear on your input because the more clear and powerful your input is, the better output you're going to get from the AI. And daily life organization, like your day-to-day routines, your to-do lists, and your systems, you can pop that in there, and then your life can it can help you just run your life a little bit more smoother. So these are just some simple tangible ways that I just wanted to throw out there that I think that can help. And I hope maybe this helped a little bit in of just getting the wheels spinning of, oh, okay, yeah, oh, that's cool. I can do that. And just think of ways or things that you do every day of, oh, how can I outsource this to AI or how can I figure this out or XYZ? And if you don't necessarily know, ask the AI, ask ChatGBT or your it's LLM, your large language model of choice, ask it. I have this idea, and then how can I outsource this or how can you help me make this task simpler on the day-to-day? So yeah, and the biggest thing is not this isn't about using AI for everything. It's about asking where I'm overwhelmed, where am I wasting time, and then asking where can AI help me with this? Because saving even one hour a day adds up really fast. And that's how we start buying back our time. You don't have to rely on AI, but you can use it and use it as a tool, honestly, as a partner. And that's how I look at it. I use AI as a creative partner, it's a partner in the things that I do, and I have found it to be so effective and so efficient and so helpful that I just don't understand why people would not want to integrate this into their life. You're not gonna lose humanness, you're not going to lose your voice. You're gonna still write the things that you're gonna need to write, you're still gonna, you're still gonna be you at the end of the day. Listen, my friends, AI is not going anywhere, and life is going to look so very different, even within the next five years, so different. And it's moving fast, really fast. So if you're ignoring AI right now, you're missing a massive opportunity, and it's really that simple. And I honestly think that people who choose not to lean into it, I think you're gonna feel it later. And because at the end of the day, this isn't just about AI, it's about buying back your time, it's about buying back your life, and it's about buying freedom. So I hope this inspired you in some way, shape, or form. Planted a little seed for you, and I will see you in the next episode. So much love, my friends, and we'll connect real soon. Bye bye.
