Something watches from beyond the star charts.
Have you ever felt watched in an empty room? That's the sensation that grips the crew of the Osiris Dawn from the moment they bring a mysterious life pod aboard their quiet cargo vessel.
What begins as a routine rescue quickly spirals into something far more sinister. The ship itself seems to react to the pod's presence—lights dimming without explanation, engines faltering momentarily, as if the very metal and circuitry of the vessel recognizes something the human crew cannot. Lieutenant Voss discovers the unconscious man inside has unusual neural patterns, "like he's dreaming too deep," while systems technician Mira Kale uncovers an even more disturbing truth: the pod wasn't just sending a distress signal—it was receiving directions from somewhere off the charts.
When Captain Lena makes the fateful decision to investigate this uncharted planet, she has no way of knowing what awaits them. But as the mysterious passenger finally awakens in the medical bay, his eyes revealing "twin voids that held echoes of something ancient," and a voice emanates not from his mouth but from the ship itself whispering "We see you now," one thing becomes terrifyingly clear: the crew of the Osiris Dawn hasn't found a survivor—they've become entangled with something that has been watching humanity from the darkness between stars. What would you do if the walls of your ship started speaking to you? Listen to find out what horrors await beyond the known star charts, and remember to subscribe for more tales from the cosmic void.
The Osiris Dawn was a quiet ship, too quiet, some said. Designed for long-haul trade and mineral transport, it wasn't meant to carry mysteries. And yet, the moment the life pod was brought into the docking bay, the air seemed heavier. The lights dimmed without reason, the hum of the engines faltered just for a moment, like the ship itself had shivered. Lena stood over the pod as it hissed open, releasing a fine mist of preservation gas. The man inside was pale, unnaturally still. His eyelids fluttered, but he didn't wake. Vitals, she asked her voice low, almost reverent. Lieutenant Voss, the ship's medic, checked the readouts Alive, stable, but neural activity is strange, like he's dreaming too deep, something's keeping him under. Let him rest. Lena said We'll run a full scan once he's stabilized. The crew resumed their routines, uneasy but professional. The pod was secured in the med bay, but from that moment on nothing felt. Right aboard the Osiris Dawn, doors hissed open without commands, communications flickered, voices briefly overlapping with static whispers, voices no one recognized. A shadow passed across the galley monitor, despite no one being near the camera, the AI Hallux began requesting diagnostic checks Every five minutes. It had never done that before.
Speaker 1:The following day, as the crew gathered in the command deck for a briefing systems technician Mira Kale spoke up that pod. It wasn't just transmitting a beacon, it was receiving one. The room fell silent. Are you saying someone or something was calling to him, lena asked. Mira nodded, not just calling, guiding. Lena folded her arms, eyes narrowing, plot. The source? Mira hesitated. It's coming from a planet not on any star charts, barely a blip in the navnet. No known designation, no name. Then we give it one, lena muttered, and we go in.
Speaker 1:Later, that night alone, in the med bay, lieutenant Voss watched as the man in the pod twitched. His eyelids flickered again and then he opened his eyes, but they didn't look human. They were black, deep, like twin voids that held echoes of something ancient. The lights around the medbay sputtered and went out. The only sound was the soft hiss of the oxygen line. Then, in the dark, a voice, low and clear, spoke, not from the man's mouth but from the very walls. We see you now. Voss turned, heart pounding who said that? But there was no answer, just the faint, pulsing sound of the original distress beacon Beep, beep, beep.
