Peace in the Storm - What do we do when the storm is our own doing—or when the church itself becomes the storm? In this episode of The Rest of the Sermon, we go deeper into Mark 4 and explore how the pursuit of peace has been hijacked by fear, power, and control—both in our personal lives and in the American church. We talk about political idolatry, Christian nationalism, and the uneasy truth that sometimes we’re rowing into storms Jesus never sent us into. But there is hope. Jesus is still in the boat, still calming the chaos—if we’re willing to trust Him more than our preferences, platforms, or pride.
