Don't Let Fear Stop You From Growing Your Voice Over Business
It's true when they say, "The best way forward is to burn the ships behind". I think that is so true, but so scary. And metaphorically speaking, what does it even mean?

When I started my voiceover business, I was afraid I would fail miserably and prove everyone right ... AGAIN ... that I was a loser. And I don't mean that people thought I didn't have value, but that I couldn't break out from the hole I had dug myself into.
This is true for a lot of us, I think. We have put ourselves into these holes with a little tunnel that goes backward and nothing but a toothpick to dig our way out moving forwards.
My voice over business was a chance to prove those people wrong ... to prove myself wrong ... that I could be successful, and fear was the metaphoric hole I had to dig through. And what was my toothpick made out of? It was made out of mistakes. The only way to dig forward was using mistakes, and since a toothpick is small, that is going to be a lot of mistakes.
The more mistakes I made, the more the hole of fear was less powerful, and the closer I got to confidence IN MY COURAGE! And that confidence allowed my courage to beat that hole and build an empire.
I know I am using a lot of metaphors here, but I hope that my words can inspire you to give yourself a break and know that you are not alone and you can do it too. All you have to do is use your toothpick every day to move forward. Fear can't stop you if you don't let it.
