Review: Rain In Austin

SPEAKER_01

This is Corvus Crotiques, Episode 4, Shakespearean Jackdaw. Our first place we will be covering is a gay bar located in the warehouse district in Austin. The bar in question that I am speaking about is Rain. Rain offers a variety of different events such as DJs, dancers, drag shows, theme nights, and bingo? They have bingo? I thought bingo was an old person thing. Oh, oh yeah, wait. It's bingo with shot. These are only a few of the events that Rain offers. In 2014, the original owner, Dave Pantano, sold the bar to mostly gay members of the community. This was largely celebrated in the gay community. After all, what's better than a bar that's ran with a few queens? Now let's begin our review of Rain. Rain has the best stance floor that I've ever seen in Austin or even just any gay bar. The place is very comfortable and has a very nice modern aesthetic. The staff are really skilled and down to earth. The place is also very clean. I'd like to give it an 8.9 out

Review: The Pub Across The Street

SPEAKER_01

of 10. The next place we will be reviewing is across the street at a place called the pub. It is an Irish-inspired pub that feels both cozy and like a sports bar. It seems like a newer bar because I couldn't find the establishment date. Their slogan is Falcha O'Walia, which means welcome home in Irish. Now let's begin our review. The pub has a very nice nature-oriented atmosphere that is very refreshing and my personal favorite for decor. They have two trees on opposite sides of the bar. I'd like to give this bar 8.1 out of 10 with a preface that sports bars aren't exactly my cup of tea, Queens. Jokingly, I say this, but this bar looks like if a rainforest cafe had sex with the Buffalo Wild Wings.

Review: Certe And Menu Changes

SPEAKER_01

Finally, for our last review, we will be turning our attention to a Mexican restaurant called Certe, led by the highly talented and nationally acclaimed chef Ferman Nunez. Sirte has a metropolitan artisan look, and by the year's end it will be transformed into a Mexican steakhouse where they will be serving Acachula de la Ribeye and Texas Twanks. No, that's not right. Oh, I'm so sorry. Bird brains goes wild sometimes. They will be serving Texas Twanquis, which is bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese. When I visited three weeks ago, it had a nice atmosphere with a modern Hispanic feel. Comfort was great and the food was good. They avoided the cliche of oversalting their tortillas and guacamole, which I say was delicious. I will say, in my opinion, the food is a little bit overpriced for what you're getting. Four mini tacos and chips and guac for $55 is a bit outrageous, darling. The staff are very friendly and customer driven. Overall I'd give it a 7.7 out of

Science News: Sugars On Bennu

SPEAKER_01

10. Now let's discuss our science news. Now as scientists have found sugars that are crucial for life on an asteroid called Benu, a scientist in Tokusu University found ribos a sugar necessary for creating RNA. Well not definitely a sign of life in the universe since there was a lot of ribos in space during this time. Tisters still very optimistic because there was a lot of ribos on this asteroid, and this was very exciting for the scientific community, and may point to microscopic life being on Mars and possibly even one of Jupiter's moons. Time will only tell if this is the case.

Science News: Nanotyrannus Debate

SPEAKER_01

Next up for science news. Scientists have discovered an error in the identity that other scientists have made in fossils. They have thought fossils from what they thought were juvenile T Rexes were juvenile T Rexes, but in fact they were a different species called nano tyrannuses. So they did an analysis on hyoid analysis, so that's like vocal cords and stuff, and they actually found that these juvenile T Rexes were in fact not T Rexes at all. They were nano tyrannis, or in their Latin name, nano tyrannis Lanceus. This discovery helps us understand the need for revision in the scientific community. Now we move on to our tech news, starting

Tech News: AI And Health Data

SPEAKER_01

with the king of drinking weird blue goo and other goo in other people's crevices. In question, I am talking about RFK Jr. RFK Jr. and the US Department of Health is trying to incorporate AI in the analysis of patient health data and drug development.

SPEAKER_02

RFK's deputy, Jim O'Neill, says For too long has our department been bowed down by bureaucracy and busy work. Now it is time to break down these barriers to make America healthier again.

SPEAKER_00

Does this king think that he's the great pumpkin or something?

SPEAKER_01

Critics are apprehensive to allow this, since they could see this be a huge breach in security for medical records. I can't find any problem with giving my medical information to a robot. What could possibly go wrong?

SPEAKER_00

Scenes from Terminator plays in Corfis' mind.

SPEAKER_02

I am Terminator. I will destroy you for taking too many path drops.

Tech News: AI Restrictions And Deepfakes

SPEAKER_01

Oddly enough, on the opposite side of artificial intelligence, the book banner himself, Ronald DeSantis, is trying to put legal restriction on AI to stop An Age of Darkness and Deceit. DeSantis has declared next week Artificial Intelligence Week, where he will be in house panels to discuss the issues with AI. It seems to me that a lawsuit launched by Megan Pete against Cooper has sparked DeSantis to look into legislation for AI. The lawsuit in question involves Cooper using AI to create pornographic deep fakes of Pete. The jury found Cooper liable and ordered them to pay Pete $75,000.

News: Slenderman Case Updates

SPEAKER_01

Now we will be transferring over to our news section. The Slenderman Stabbers on the loo oh wait, she got captured again. While I was finding the story for this, I had picked this out to be one of my sections. I saw that she was recaptured when I was writing this. So instead of telling you this story about her escaping, I'm going to tell you a little bit about this story. So Morgan Geezer stabbed one of her classmates in 2014 to appease a fictional character named Slenderman. She said that Slenderman had spoke to her and told her to do it. I think Slenderman talks to me sometimes. Oh my bad, that was just some tall, pasty twink in a suit. My bad. So back to the story. Geezer with her accomplice, Anissa Weir, stabbed one of their classmates, Peyton Lutner, in 2014. Lutner was stabbed 19 times with doctors saying it barely missed her artery. Lootner did thankfully survive. Geezer and Weir tried as adults, despite their age at the time. Geezer had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. She petitioned the courts for release four times and by the final time she was released into a group home. That is when her ankle monitor started to act up. She was stopped in Illinois and she was tried for criminal trespassing and obstructing her identity to police. She was later detained and put back into jail. After the stabbing, Geezer's accomplice, Anissa Weir, pleaded not guilty due to mental illness. After that, she was denied that and she pled guilty to second degree murder. And a jury found her not guilty due to mental illness. She was sentenced to 35 years in Winnebago, and a judge in 2021 no longer saw her as a threat to herself or others, and she was released with GPS monitoring and supervision by her father and case managers. On September 12th, 2023, she was given the removal of these conditions and she was given her freedom. On the topic of both women, many people believe that both Geezer and Weir were given light sentences for the horrific things that they have done to Lutner. We must always remember that mental health should always be considered, but it is a little bit horrifying that you could run into Weir in public now and not even really know it now that the conditions of her release have now been nulled. Our next story about oh my god, Slay, she's

News: Jen Psaki, Trump, And Epstein

SPEAKER_01

back. Jen Pisaki circles back into the limelight, where she calls Trump's ignorance on the Epstein's files the biggest political scandal in our lifetimes, and outright calls Trump a predator. Pisaki later backtracks and says, I mean, in addition to Epstein, there are other predators out there. Her backtrack enrages a lot of people, and many people felt like she was scared of being sued.

SPEAKER_02

Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says, Trump kicked out Jeffrey Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago because he was a creep.

SPEAKER_01

Like many people who support Trump and the man himself claim. Many people do not believe their responses are true. On the other talent, so to speak, while many people are happy to see Jen Pisaki again, many people feel like Pisaki is walking on eggshells during her recent responses to the news. An explanation on Pisaki's recent interviews is needed to know the truth exactly. But now, I hope that the eggshells that she's walking on aren't crow eggs. Unfortunately, that's all I have for you today, and now it's time to land.
